Still very proud I:

- Among others I felt were important to add to what the core established, made it so we added Carmilla to Aether the moment I got the chance to be a dev in The Aethernaut Collection (and thanks to her author for the great work!)

- Came up with the fake name "Millicent Karr" for her in a one-shot I ran, which is very suspect (Millicent Karr, Karr Millicent, Karr Mille, Carmilla) and thus totally on brand for Countess Mircalla "Carmilla" Von Karstein.

...I like to think I was a good fit and did good work developing for Aether books.

Hey so I've been watching Bakugan gen 3 if anyone wants to talk about that.

My personal opinion is that it's really good and I love how Dan's had character development so he cares about more than just brawling and realises he's good at things that aren't brawling too. BakuChaos members might have just seen me assume they were going to remove that character development and for that I apologize because I assumed too quickly and forgot bakugan is not just any other series, they keep their character development and let their main characters take a step back so others can shine sometimes.

Still though, I was absolutely infuriated for a few seconds when I thought they were going to go back on the character development like..? I've done that exact thing before as a writer, trick the audience into thinking there'll be a cliche but then have something else happen instead. I now understand how evil that writing style is.

My favorite character in gen three so far is definitely Mia, I don't even know why, she's just so cool and I love her character and design <3

If we're talking ships.... Junomia ftw, I haven't really found myself really properly vibing with many other ships yet but Juno and Mia are so real.

I absolutely love how Dan and TC are brothers too, that's such a fun thing for them to add in, found family is always a favorite thing of mine to see in shows.

Also can I just mention Griffin is such a fun character he's just a lovable nerd who loves manga and cartoons like the fandom do, he's absolutely great.

Loving the other clans too, Backslash is probably my favorite of the clan leaders but I do love Raven too, her design is so pretty and her personality is so interesting too.

Everytime I remember Rip and Razor have the same voice actors as gen 2 Dan and Drago, I'm shocked, they're still voicing hilarious characters though. And Jay sharing a voice actor with Magnus? That's such a shift in characters.

I'll probably make another post about gen 3 soon but for now this is just me rambling with some thoughts about it.

HIEEEEEEEEEEEE HI BESTIE.

Okay so, like, firstly, time period: The TC lore is set in early versions of minecraft which, to me, function like a somewhat-medieval fantasy sort of vibe. Much more focused on magic than tech, larger kingdoms and such rather than, like, cities n shit. Y'know? Anyways.

Silly character stuff! :D

Sky was Crown Prince of the Aether, but he left his duties a long time ago to live in the Overworld. He's presently residing as the General of an Overworld kingdom's army, though he eventually gets elected leader. (Elective monarchy !!!) Roughly ~23. Demigod(?? Herobrine's kid).

Lox is their best friend, they've known each other basically since Sky got to the Overworld. He arrived there himself not long before Sky did! Although Lox came from the Underworld. He's a Lampade, a nymph of the Underworld! Looks like a ghost/spirit, and doesn't really have a clear age but appears about 22-23 as well. Lives in Sky's kingdom as well although he doesn't really have a job, he's just an absolute menace to society. They meet Jerome next -- he doesn't live in the kingdom, rather in a forest a fair bit away from it. He's a pretty standard hybrid, just a bear -- specifically a Kodiak bear! He's about 21 and he mostly just makes money from hunting and stuff like that. Husky's next! He's a Merling, specifically an axolotl. (If you wanna get even more particular, he's a lavender axolotl. :3) He takes up living in the kingdom himself a while after he meets the group; he fancies himself something of a scientist! He's about 24.

Jason comes after! He is a Starborne, specifically that of a yellow supergiant. He meets the group after he quite literally crashes down to Earth; originally he tries to find a way back, but eventually he relents and settles in the Overworld. He's also quite the scientist, specifically interested in biology and the like of other hybrids. He's also both the oldest and the youngest of the group -- physically, he looks to be around seventeen years old. Literally / chronologically, he's actually a few hundred THOUSAND years old. (This is, actually, very young for a star, hence the discrepancy.)

They meet Seto next -- he, similarly to Jason, gets trapped outside of his proper home. He's an alchemist from the End (being an Enderborne specifically), and got caught in a severe rainstorm while on an expedition of sorts to the Overworld for materials, causing him to get lost and lose the portal. He settles in fairly quickly, though, and finds he quite likes being in the Overworld -- even if some people are.. less than kind to other-dimensional hybrids (especially those of the End, given their, uh... high tensions).

Finally, Bajan! Jerome has actually known Bajan the longest, knowing him a good few years before everyone else. Bajan is a sentient (life-sized) ball-jointed doll. He doesn't know it, but he was originally created as a replacement for his creator's ("Dad's") deceased son. Jerome found him in a VERY decrepit house on a hunting trip one day; Bajan himself was fine (largely due to not needing to eat/sleep/etc), but the house was in total disrepair following his creator's death. While Bajan was TAUGHT how to fix these sorts of things, mobility issues stemming from being.. well, a doll, led to them just being too hard for him to do on his own. Jerome convinced him to leave and go with him, and they were living together since! Bajan also gave everyone else (namely Sky and Lox) fucking heart attacks when they first met, due to Bajan's. Entire existence, really. His face can't move to make expressions and his mouth doesn't move when he speaks, rather he has a voicebox in his chest, so the general reaction was "HEY WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT". He also has kind of an odd age. He was made to be around his early 20s, but if we go off the amount of time he, himself, has actually EXISTED, he'd only be, like..... six. (Everyone's chill with Bajan now, though. Jason and Seto are VERY interested in his existence for science reasons.)

Brontide grumbled as it made its way closer, as though even the thunder was grumpy to be caught outside on such an unforgiving night. 

“Right Momma?” He looked at her. 

She hesitated, taken by surprise. “Well, sure, but do we have room? We only have one guest room.” 

“Two, technically. I’ve been staying in the garage with Danny, so someone can have my room.” 

Twirling some spaghetti on his fork to scoop it onto a slice of garlic bread, Riley said, “Jimmy sleeps better on a couch.” 

“If I sleep,” Jimmy amended for him, and Riley accepted the correction with a shrug.

Behold, the new character: Cyladel (he/him), Aasimar and Cleric of Corellon Larethian (God of Elves and Nature). The plan is to multi-class into Druid, and do a thorough exploration of everything I can.

This will be my third playthrough, the plan is to be closer to Lawful Good, with a focus on nature. So it means I will probably romance Halsin this time. I need a palette cleanser after the Durge playthrough lolcry. Mod list below the read more...

I haven't thoroughly checked for redundancies or incompatibilities but it seems to be running fine for me so far! If you use any of the gear mods and/or the aasimar mod, I recommend playing on Balanced or higher for difficulty - otherwise you'll be particularly overpowered lol. ((If anyone finds a bug, redundancies, or such, please let me know!))

I didn't play with most of these mods for my first two playthroughs - just cosmetics and the improved UI.

Burrower armor my beloved. I also like the idea of the darkmoor hood covering the wizard's identity from that point forward unless they pull it down because...as is probably clear I am really here for their loss of/lack of identity as a lore point.

And YES i adore the crafted Khrysalis wands, I love any of the more unique looking wands honestly, I had the Storied Spyglass stitched on everything I used from level 60 onward... But when I saw there was a staff one I could pick up from Sardonyx I spent so much time trying to get the stardust and turqoiuse for loremaster tcs i needed. I love it, it's stitched to... something right now, cannot honestly remember what without booting the game up. I don't think it's the darkmoor one, I'm pretty sure that's hanging on a wall somewhere.

I just double checked and I am currently up to the Visionary crafting rank, I need... many many many more flying squid ink (I have..four, of forty-five) plus a handful more aether ore and shining scales before I can finish baba yaga's focused mace. Though in all honesty I like the Khrysalis staff better so I will almost certainly just keep using that one XD

Crafting quests are some of my favorites! Like I mentioned I wish we had more craftable castle options, because I think the challenge and work required for them is really rewarding if they're done well.

Miguel hunched over the plastic Tupperware Sienna handed him. “Nope. It’s a drug deal, Charlie, look away.”

Charlie threw his head back and laughed. “Yeah right, like you would ever be so weak as to sink into that shit, Garcia-Quezadas.”

Miguel sent Sienna a secret grin and nodded her toward a dusty chair in the corner of the garage. “What have we today? Heroin? Um…marijuana? Cocaine?”

“Go on,” Charlie challenged, hands on hips. “Another name, I bet you can’t think of one.”

Then, what was probably Tuesday rolled around.

Mallory was sitting with the three sycamore women. They didn’t refer to themselves as the sycamore women, even though that was the only tree they ever sat under. They were just Amara, Akachi, and June. They were a little loony, Mallory thought.

Ring:

The idea stayed, lingering like the condensation on Sienna’s ice water glass. An illusive definition of family dripped down and over her fingers, a question of grief and love left a ring behind on the table.

“Is it going to give you purpose in a healthy way?” Miguel asked, like he was some kind of therapist and not a boy with a circ saw.

“Are you asking me if I’m going to get obsessed with results that exist only in my head?” Sienna retorted, pulling the lemon wedge from her glass and slurping it. Her teeth tingled.

D-Rain and T-Rip, both slightly cheating: (gotta love talking to your Asian relatives, lol.)

Poh Poh tsked as she tidied up the kitchen. “You shouldn’t speak to your mother that way. She’s having a hard time.”

It was the closest she would ever come to admitting feelings existed.

“I don’t think looking at airline deals is a great use of her time,” Sienna said, putting her bowl in the sink.

“Dish drain,” Poh Poh ordered. “And there’s nothing wrong with looking for good prices. Cheap prices are important.”

Sienna sighed. “Are we planning a trip out to Houston, Poh Poh? Because if we’re not, then what’s the point?”

Poh Poh didn’t answer. Either she hadn’t heard, or she was choosing not to.
