some facts about tom blyth:
did therapy.
he has a motorcycle.
he used to draw, learning how to use oil colors and mixing paint would be a feasible hobby to fit in between concerts.
in an interview he said: "i like the idea of doing something that scares me because that's where you learn the most."
his teenage (and ironic) fear of snakes derived from Indiana Jones and the unknown terrors that lurk in deep waters were conquered through exposure therapy.
he is studying and learning to speak Italian for his next film.
the mix of teenage angst, self-loathing and mischief has been processed in therapy. Now that you have competent knowledge, confidence and experience, acting has become more of something you can experiment with, learn from and expand on.
for Tom, acting used to be a form of escape. In an interview he talked about it: "i love accents, costumes, anything that takes me further away from myself because before I simply wanted to be anything but myself."
Donald Sutherland was actually one of his favorite characters in the original films of 'the hunger games'. In an interview he spoke about him and said: "i think he is one of the best villains in modern cinema."
Maya Hawke and Tom met at the Juilliard audition, the first time they started talking was at a school question and answer session.
he always creates a playlist for each character he's playing.
he gets a little camera shy when playing himself.
his passion for acting was influenced by his father, although he did not spend much time with him because he died when he was young.
during the pandemic, Tom was living in a cabin in the woods upstate, and he got up at 8 a.m. every day to chop wood for the wood stove to stay warm. "I was living this kind of lonely life and auditioning every day and just looking for the right job."
he loved western movies when he was a child.
at the premiere of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, in Los Angeles. After he took off his oversized jacket, exposing his arms, Rachel Zegler spent the next day sending him messages about the "thirst trap."
his favorite rom-com movie is 'When Harry Met Sally'.

You know what AU I’d like to see (read: will possibly con myself into writing)?
The 75th Hunger Games, the Third Quarter Quell, is announced. Haymitch and Katniss are desperately trying to get Peeta out alive, having already accepted that Katniss herself will be killed by Snow’s arena and Mutts if the other tributes don’t manage it.
The reaping begins. Effie Trinket struggles and finally manages to draw the one name in the ladies’ bowl. Katniss Everdeen is reaped for the first time, a tribute for the second.
“I volunteer as tribute,” sings an old lady in the audience.
District 12’s only other female Victor. Lucy Gray Baird, winner of the 10th Hunger Games. She survived Coriolanus’s fit in the woods, dodged the gunfire and made her escape. Barely, she managed to survive on her own. And when the Quell was announced, well….
Somehow, let’s say the news of it made its way to her wherever she was living. And Lucy is in her eighties, now. She’s lived a long, good life even though her love wasn’t as Pure as the Driven Snow after all. She avoided the suffering in 12, lived happily, and dodged the fate of the many victors who followed her. She’s ready. Besides, she’s got some unfinished business in the Capitol.
Most people would argue against it. But Effie Trinket has two kids she would like to see live, thank you very much, and she is the escort for the district, hm? Thread may argue, but with the cameras rolling what can he do? What right does the Head Peacekeeper have to intervene in the reaping when the Mayor and Escort both sign off on it? Effie offers to instead redo the drawing with Lucy and Katniss’s names both in the bowl…but what would that accomplish when it’s clear one will volunteer even if her name isn’t called? This, of course, means that when Haymitch is still called, Peeta has no reason to volunteer. No, it’s Lucy and Haymitch who will go to the arena.
Maybe the 75th Hunger Games still go on. Or maybe they’re rather delayed when President Coriolanus Snow drops dead of a heart attack after the reapings are broadcasted.

Let's talk about Caesar Flickerman.
What's your opinion about him?
Where do you think Caesar falls onto, supporter of the Capitol or belong to the secret rebel line?
What's your favourite interview moment with Caesar? Why do you like this moment?
What do you think happened with Caesar after the war? Do you think he survived?
How do you like the portrayal in the movies from the books?
Do you like Stanley Tucci performance as Caesar?
Spoiler for TBOSAS :
What do you think the relationship between Lucky and Caesar? Actual blood relative? Or something else?
Thank you :)
@curiousnonny
Help I love Caesar Flickerman honestly. He’s such a vibe, I feel like I’d be friends with him, or he’d be the fun history teacher in high school who doesn’t actually teach yk??
I think Caeser definitely supported the rebels, because all those years of interviewing tributes just for them to die has to have taken a toll on him. He got closer with them than anyone else (besides maybe the stylists) in the capitol with only a few minutes of screen time.
I remember Katniss thinking once that he really was trying to bring out the best in each tribute, and trying to help them win in their own individual way. Don’t get me wrong, exploiting kids is still wrong, but I think it was the only way he thought he could help them. I don’t think he would’ve actively supported the rebels, but he would’ve been behind the scenes doing stuff even if not for Coin.
Favorite interview moment has got to be, the iconic, “If it weren’t for the baby.”
Caesar has such natural energy with Peeta, I truly think he knew how angry the capitol would get if he revealed all the details of their love life and made them even more star crossed. I think Caesar was trying to egg him on, and could see what he was getting at, much like in the first book with the crush on Katniss and stuff.
I like it just because wow. Badass, and I’m also biased towards Peeta lol.
I think Caesar probably hid out and died quietly, if he wasn’t immediately killed by either the rebels or the capitol (can’t remember lol). That’s only if he survived, which I don’t think he did. I think he’d definitely be killed by one of the extremes from one of the rebels or the capitols.
The movies did so well with him. His connection with each tribute, his banter with Peeta, all of it. Every line. Perfect casting, perfectly done. Stanley Tucci knocked it out of the park.
Omg!!! Love this last question!!
I feel like probably father/son between them. Lucky had a lot of the goofy energy Caesar has, but Caesar knows how to reel it in, and use it to his advantage more because he’s been around the games and that environment more and knows what the capitol can do. Katniss said he’d been doing it for a long time, I feel like if Caesar did it from Games 45-75, and Lucky 10-44, that’d make sense, or around those numbers.
Thank you for the question @curiousnonny ! As always, feel free to debate but not argue in the replies/reblogs.

Interview with the vampire Au
Tw: LGB is here a sex worker and Coriolanus can't handle it well
.
Lucy Gray tried with all her might to ignore the piercing gaze that Coriolanus Snow was giving her. And he from his corner didn't understand why he was here following in her footsteps, when their relationship had been dead for years, and to his chagrin he now knew that the brilliant artist he once knew was now a common whore.
Her talent and beauty wasted in this club, no matter how much she tried to maintain her non-existent dignity, she was a decadent flower, in a colorful, threadbare dress, waiting for the highest bidder to take her to a room. Maybe he wanted to be the one to buy her, but the thought was intolerable, a Snow would never stoop so low.
Before Coriolanus got tired of his wine-drinking charade, Baird's table was approached by a young man with curly brown hair, a cream-colored suit and a muscular back. Who with a certain shyness in his movements took the empty seat opposite her.
He hated him immediately, for believing he could possess her, and a hole opened in his stomach, noticing the way Lucy Gray relaxed her shoulders, and gave him a sincere smile, she seemed to really like him. Snow could no longer maintain his facade of disinterest, he felt the urge to go talk to her, to ruin her chance to sleep with this guy. Or rather, doing her a favor, prevent Lucy Gray from further disgracing herself like that.
Without thinking he gets up and heads for that table, Baird immediately sees him, she had also been watching him silently, and tenses her whole body, when confrontation is inevitable, blue eyes meet golden ones, the tension is almost electrifying, and before they break the silence, Sejanus Plinth does it first.
“Coriolanus!” He calls to him cheerfully.
Snow is thankful that there is no longer blood in his body to color his face a reddish hue, for the shame of having taken so long to realize that the foolish and scheming heir with whom he conversed the night before and had given him one of the most spectacular welcomes to a city, was Lucy Gray's client.
He pulls himself together quickly and greets him as if he's happy to see him, doesn't stop Sejanus from offering him a seat with them, and delights a bit in the torturous thoughts of his old love, who would rather be anywhere else in the world, than at an impromptu dinner with the cruel man who abandoned her years ago and a pure-hearted saint.
A saint who had blood money, and had made his father's ammunition and gun business more fruitful in a couple of years than it had been in decades. A saint who could threaten someone with a fucking sword in the eagerness to save his delusional friend. Baird was clearly still not a good judge of character, and at her vague responses, Coriolanus decided to pay her no mind.
The boy who was desperately thinking how much he wanted to like him seemed a much more interesting prospect.
