Got bored and decided to a bit of height math for some of my OCs:

Mira is approximately 1.25x as tall as Nicholi. Taylor is approximately 1.13x as tall as Nicholi. This means that if Nicholi is 5'00" Mira is about 6'3" and Taylor is about 5'8". Nicholi. This has Taylor a bit taller than I had in mind, but not unreasonably so, so I might commit this as their canon heights. It does mean Nicholi is fucking tiny but if I made him any less tiny than Taylor will get closer to six foot than I think she should be. I might actually make him an inch or two smaller to put Taylor closer to average height. Idk.

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

ohhhhh it's probably a toss-up between all your life because one of the constant praises i get is that it really feels so in character and feels like an episode and that makes me happy ;-; and then the other was a dreadful plight because i loooooove writing boyd and i really feel like i nailed his voice which i know can be hard!

oh and my odo+quark drabble just because i loved writing that dialogue :'D

19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?

i reallllly wanna write some hoffstrahm from the saw franchise because they're fascinating to me, and i also want to really finish justified and get into raylan/boyd some more (and i'm not just saying that because it's you :'D)

27. What do you listen to while writing?

it depends on what mood i'm in! sometimes i listen to taylor swift and sometimes i listen to broadway and sometimes i listen to fall out boy for five hours straight. i used to make playlists for fics as you well know but i've fallen out of that, i should try to do it again

“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” s6e8 (1997)

Resurrection, written by Michael Taylor.

A complex and thoughtful sci-fi love story. Religious beliefs play a big part in the relationship, and add a lot to the proceedings. Making the story feel fresher than it actually is.

Philip Anglim and Nana Visitor, in particular, are great.

The big twist at the midpoint feels almost unnecessary. Luckily, it doesn't overwhelm the key character arc. We're really invested in this guy's journey; we really care about which path he will choose. A credit to the writing/acting. And the directing by LeVar Burton.

Fantastic use of Quark in this script. And Worf - written/played as a loveable grump - is hilarious.

Some Random Character Stuff:

- Clara’s Spiderman hoodie is specifically an ITSV Miles Morales one.A cosplayer who brought it with him during the evacuations decided to give it to his fellow Spidey Fan! She pretty much lives in it now and wishes she can see the movie for herself after the older fan told her about it.

- Mickey is not allowed to get bored. When they do get bored, they tend to mess with electronics and drones by disassembling them to rebuild into some frankenstein shit. That was where the obnoxious screaming alarm of theirs came from, as well as plenty of Wolfpack gadgets!

- Starscream has no clue that his fleshy children have a family name. Daisy couldn’t remember it for the life of her and Allen just never mentions it. So Scream will refer to them as “of Florida”, since that is where they are from. (Writer comment: I named them the Taylors watching The Andy Griffith Show.)

- Cyrus and Prowl would have instant respect for each other, wearing the same hats.

- Allen is half blind. He lost his right eye to an infection as a child with his parents having to remove it for his safety. He wears the eyepatch to keep Daisy from being scared by the cauterized hole. She has never seen it.

- Contrary to Allen’s beliefs, Daisy HAS seen the space where his right eye should be. She thinks it looks cool!

- Shockwave has been smitten with Soundwave for a long time, but is too nervous about telling them in the War. Soundwave knows about this crush, but is in the same boat. Dead End wants to lock them up and force them to confess so he doesn’t have to keep hearing the gossip.

- Isco is currently screaming crying and throwing up back at zeir home. Zeir recovery is getting sloppy and zeiy refuse to leave home until zeiy know Quark’s fate. Black Hole Transport Project be damed, zeiy want their QPP home!

- Hot Rod and Clara seriously live rent-free in the other’s minds. Only Clara is better about not rambling on her thoughts on him.

- Ezra and Trip are the only Wolves allowed to cook. Not only are they great at it, but Clara and Mickey burn everything. But Ezra prefers savory flavors while Trip prefers simple ones. The two do occasionally butt heads over that.

- Trip has and wears his mother’s engagement ring. That is his primary comfort item.

- Ezra’s parents are both alive in the bunker, but circumstances led Rabbi Hart to have primarily raised his granddaughter. There is some animosity towards her parents, but both just rather focus on the future rather than the past.

- Brainstorm did chat up Perceptor while he was still technically in jail. It worked.

Hmm always depends what mood I’m in at the moment but sure ways to work are I need a hero by Bonnie Taylor or Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men!
