Getting to know Florwyn (Tav)
@shewhowas39 came up with this cool format to introduce folks to OC Tav's. So, here's some details about the shy storm sorcerer who steals Shadowheart's heart in the fanfiction, Shadowheart Begins.
***
Name: Florwyn Mayne
Pronouns: she/her
Age: about 45 or 46 - she doesn't know her actual birthday
Race: Half-elf
Class: Sorcery, storm sorcery subclass
Alignment: neutral good
Love Interest: Shadowheart
Best Friends: Karlach and Astarion
Height: 2 or 3 centimetres shorter than Shadowheart
Body Type: Slim and sleight. She has no muscle and is light enough to carry (as Shadowheart *ahem* knows).
Skin: very pale
Hair: mid-length white with some light blue highlights and a few silver threads, a side braid on one side, otherwise worn out (side braid picture below).
Eyes: the thing that people notice about her first - very pale grey, warrants a double take. Some people think her eyes look scary or freakish.
Face Claim: a young Lisa McCune (picture below).
Favorite Color: she is very fond of blues and greys. She does not find grey to be a dreary colour at all.
Greatest Passion: she is a great reader, and she also has a (mostly hidden) enormous passion for weather.
Biggest Fear: accidentally hurting the people she loves with her power, being charmed.
Some Random Facts:
Florwyn's favourite wind is a nor-easterly.
She was not allowed any books about weather while growing up (despite requests), in case it 'gave her ideas'. She has made up for lost time by devouring every book she can about cloud and weather patterns and the like, though she does not talk about it much, partly because of it still feeling like 'forbidden knowledge,' partly because she kept her sorcery secret and unused for 30 years and feared slipping up and telling people about her power by accident.
When she and El escaped the wizards and lived with Mystrans for a while, the Mystran family had children she became enormously fond of. She fast became a trusted babysitter for the family and a letter of recommendation from them opened doors to babysit for other families during the early period after their escape.
Florwyn has less than warm feelings about Mystra, feeling aggrieved that she forgot her own cleric (El) and they had to make their escape without any help, after such a long confinement.
Nansi Gretta at the Bibliophile (bookshop in Baldur's Gate) has a crush on Florwyn that has made book browsing and buying awkward. There is a "deleted scene" where Florwyn and Shadowheart went into the bookshop together and Nansi is less than thrilled to see her favourite customer together with her worst customer (Shadowheart used to visit the shop regularly and never buy anything. But did she steal anything? Oh yes she did. The D'vanya Mettle book display was of particular interest).

My first Durge: Dana R'Whaal (hehe 🐳)
Allignement: Chaotic Neutral - Resist Bhaal
Class: Sorcerer (Wild Magic)
Love Interest: Gale Dekarios (God of Ambition - partnered in pantheon)
Likes: Alchemy, The smell of damp earth, Sahuagin tail stew
Hates: Children, Licorice, Elminster
Tumblr media
Backstory:
Dana is a High Elf sorcerer. She used to work for Enver Gortash; she was a prolific assassin, specialized in poison and necromancy. Together they cooked up the idea around the cult of the Absolute. She had an affair with Gortash (she'll insist they only did hand stuff while he claims that they were engaged. Who's to say who is telling the truth (Gortash. Gortash is telling the truth.)).
Dana started the adventure with a fake moustache glued on her face (a little practical joke from Kressa Bonedaughter) but due to memory loss, thought it was real. All 6 companions immediately saw that it was fake but none dared to say anything due to her unstability and blood lust. After the revelation in the mind flayer colony Dana decided to change hair and finally got rid of her "moustache". She sometimes has the reflex to try and twirl it when she ponders, alas it is long gone...
When Gale Dekarios claimed the crown of Karsus, he ascended with her; she became the Goddess of Confidence and Scheming.
My one shot chapter A wild Magic you Cast and the beautiful fic King and Lionheart by @alpydk are based on her adventures.

Overall warnings for the fic: Graphic warning (i.e. gore, canon-level violence to BG3/DND), religious themes, sensitive topics (i.e. homelessness, mental health, bullying, etc), toxic relationships, and a bunch of angst MDNI with this fic. This story is meant to be slightly concerning and disturbing. This does not mean I approve topics and contents of what I write.
Please be patient with me if updates are few and far apart, my life gets busy at time and writer's block is a problem I am working to solve.
General context for readers: This fic is a dedicated written form of my BG3 tav's backstory. A half-elf warlock with an urchin background, Muriel Rivvikyn is a complicated, closed-off, and cold companion to have in your party. . . but why is that? This story explains everything.
Intro to Muriel
Status: In Progress

Hi! I hope it's okay to ask about your Tav? I'd love to know more about them! 😁
Hi!
At the moment I only have one Tav (and one Durge).. but I'll gladly tell you about her!
Aster is an halfling bard. Born and raised in a small isolated village that doesn't accept outsiders. She always wanted to see the world, but her community was strictly against it. That's why she mostly used to make friends with animals rather than other halflings.
One day she decides to leave for good and to bring her music (she plays the lute) around the world. She ends up in Baldurs'Gate where she gets approached by a group of criminals who's boss, thinking that she might be very useful as a distraction for their crimes, decides to recruit her. She would have had to play and distract the victims, while the others would empty their pockets. Aster being very lonely decides to accepted the job.
Years go by and Aster feels like she has found a family with this group of criminals, till the day their boss betrays her. One thing lead to another, she ends up killing some important dude end ends up in prison. That's where she meets Zorba, a rogue tiefling, that will help her escape and that will then become her new partner in crime.
The two gets separated when Aster gets abducted by the mind flayers.. You know how the rest of the story goes.
At the moment Aster is happy to say that she has a new found family with all of her companions, and she's proud of every one of them. She's particularly close to Karlach and Gale.. and she's looking to find a cure for vampirism so that her boyfriend can finally enjoy the sun once more.
About her personality... Aster has a good heart and she likes to help people, but she also enjoys a bit of chaos. She can be blunt at times (She loved making fun of Raphael in particular).

I wrote a little backstory for my Roguish Tav from Baldur's Gate 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Asma hailed from Baldur’s Gate’s Outer City; born to a pair of needy guild agents, who schooled them in the ways of the blade and bow from a tender age. A failed Counting House heist, however, landed Asma’s parents behind bars, and the fifteen year-old Asma turned to picking pockets, running cons, and burgling Upper City houses to scrape by and pay off their parents’ bail. With skills they were honing showing more promise than any coin, Asma would stage a dramatic prison break that freed their parents and thirty-two other prisoners from the depths of the barracks, though at the cost of their own freedom. This was the last they ever saw or heard from their parents; something that wounded them more than their three years of imprisonment ever could. However, word of the fateful escape operation travelled down the River Chionthar, and Asma would find unlikely saviors in the Purple Masks; a thieves’ guild from Iriaebor who’d seen potential in the young rogue. Under the guidance of the guild, Asma left Baldur’s Gate behind and began leading the mercenary’s life; following not a path of justice or heroism but a solitary path of survival in an unforgiving world. With nearly a decade of guild assignments under their belt, the arts of infiltration, manipulation, and assassination have become second nature to Asma. They have even earned themselves a hefty bounty on their head across the Sunset Vale under the moniker of the Wolf’s Bane; reportedly because catching a glimpse of their violet hair was just as deadly as handling the poisonous flower. Fiercely independent— armed with a silver tongue and the piercing silver of their blades— Asma can squeeze an advantage out of the most desperate of situations; if not over, then through.
Name: Asma (discarded surname)
Alias: Wolf’s Bane (in the Sunset Vale)
Pronouns: They/Them
Race: Human (Variant)
Class: Rogue (Assassin) Lvl 12 🗝️🗡️💀
Background: Criminal

Feats: Sharpshooter and Mobile
Born: 1st Nightal, 1466 DR, Stonyeyes, Baldur’s Gate
Age: 25 during the Absolute Crisis (Eleasis & Eleint, 1492 DR) & 26 during the Reunion (Alturiak, 1493 DR)
Height: 5’7” (169 cm)

Answering the Baldur's Gate 3 Character Development questions I previously reblogged for Lo below the “read more” 🤭
1: Where in the Faerûn is your Tav from?
She was born and raised in Heapside Strand, Lower City, Baldur's Gate. She left the Strand when she moved in with her mentor, Judd, however they still lived in the Lower City. She moved back to the Strand after they defeated the Netherbrain.
2: What is your character's alignment?
Chaotic good
3: Race and subclass?
High Elf, Black Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer
4: If your Tav was a companion, where would they be found?
She would be found somewhere in the Lower City. She lived there all of her life and never traveled out of it. When she was abducted on the nautiloid, it was the first time that she had been out of the city/traveling around Faerûn.
5: Dark Urge or no?
No
6: What companion are you platonically close with?
Karlach. Her and Lo's friendship is super cute, wholesome, and supportive. They are pretty alike in some ways, yet very different in others. I think that they compliment each other nicely. Karlach is a person that Lo goes to whenever she has a problem/wants to gossip/just to hang out. She is her go-to-girl and is her first true, best friend in a long time.
7: Romantically close with?
Astarion
8: Who are they suspicious of?
A specific character or a specific type of person? I think that she is suspicious of everyone quite honestly. She is not easy to trust and is constantly considering ulterior motives due to her street urchin/charlatan background. Lo has a good sense if someone is being truthful or not, yet actions speak louder to her than words. She has to be around someone and see how they interact with her for her to be able to get a good gauge on them. But she 100% was running around Faerûn not wanting to tell anybody about her tadpole because she was so suspicious of how they were going to treat her/what they would do because of it.
9: Is your Tav from Baldur's Gate? Why are they travelling there?
Yes, born and raised in Heapside Strand!
10: Are they proficient in playing any instruments?
No, she does not have a musical bone in her body. Music is one of her favorite things in the entire world. She often would go to taverns just to listen to music and hang out, but she cannot play any herself.
11: Weapon of choice?
Quarterstaff & short bow. However, she does not become especially good with the shortbow until after the Netherbrain is defeated. Astarion teaches her how to get better post game.
12: What is their orientation?
Bisexual
13: What are their thoughts on killing? Is it a necessary evil or do they enjoy it?
She can sometimes be both. Most of the time, she does not enjoy killing and sees it as a necessary evil, but she also believes heavily in karma and if someone is a bad person and has done unspeakable horrors unto others and "deserves to die" in her eyes, then yes, she is going to enjoy it. She is someone who wants to see the balance in the world restored by getting rid of as many "bad people" as possible.
14: What hobbies does your Tav have?
Her guilty pleasure is reading cheesy romance novels & smut. She enjoys reading in general like she is very interested in history and difficult cultures, but especially enjoys the romance novels. She also considers bed rotting a hobby. She also enjoys swimming and being around water in general. One of her favorite things to do is sit on the dock down past the Strand and watch the boats go by.
15: What NPC's do they like? Which one's do they dislike?
She is very fond of children. One of her favorites was Mol because she saw a lot of herself in her. She tends to gravitate towards people who are "rough around the edges". She liked Rugan and Hoots Hooligan right upon meeting them. Also to a similar effect, she likes Nine-Fingers. Lastly, her favorite tavern in the city is the Singing Lute. Due to how many times she has been there, she has developed a soft spot for Tender Henk even though he does not say much to her at all. Maybe she just likes her because he serves her alcohol. She does not like people that are inherently hateful for no reason, people who turn those in need away, those who have a "holier than though" air about them, or those who are unappreciative when she goes out of her way to help them as she seldomly does that, save for those in need like children as I mentioned above. For those reasons, she disliked Orin, Kagha, Gortash, and Mayrina. She eventually came around to liking Mayrina when she remet her in the city, but upon first meeting, she did not like her very much.
16: Do they have a favorite creature in the Faerûn?
Owl bears for sure. And I wanted to mention that she was fond of the Kuo-Toa people even though they are not considered "creatures" as they are a race of people. She found them to be amusing and interesting. Just thought I would mention them since they are not considered humanoid.
17: Do they enjoy life as an adventurer?
At first, no, not at all. At the beginning of her journey, she was amidst mourning the death of her mentor and chosen family member, Judd. She had a very hard time coming to terms with his death. She also someone who is known for throwing pity parties for herself, so she was very "why me" at the beginning of it all. As time went on and she grew closer to her companions, she enjoyed it thoroughly. She felt like she had finally found her tribe because after all, one of the things that she had been chasing her entire life was a sense of belonging, and she found that with her companions.
18: What would your Tav be doing if they weren't kidnapped on the Nautiloid?
She would have been mourning the loss of her mentor, holed up in their house in the Lower City. Then, she would be going through his stuff to see what to keep and what to get rid of. She would probably still be working at Sorcerous Sundries if they decided to take her back after missing so much work from grieving. She would still be working there because she did not have a strong sense of direction in life. Judd was always someone who helped her with that, so she often just followed his lead. He was like a father to her. She would also be seeing Tender Henk every night as the Singing Lute is her favorite haunt in the city.
19: How do you think they'll meet their end?
Well I have been developing her post game story through a series that I have posted on AO3 called "Indomitable" that discusses her adventures with Astarion post game. In some of those stories, I detail how Lo becomes a vampire, so she becomes immortal. I don't forsee her getting killed or anything like that, so I think that she is just going to continue living in the city with Astarion as they live out their days together.
20: Would they destroy the elder brain or control it?
She would destroy it, although she can completely see the argument for taking control of it as it did tempt her, but when she gets to thinking about all of the awesome people that she met, and the lengths that she went to get where she was when she comes face-to-face with the Netherbrain, she ultimately decides to destroy it.
21: What is your Tav's favorite spell?
Disintegrate—although the success rate isn't as high as some other spells, she appreciates the power of it and finds beauty in that when it is able to be executed. She also is very fond of Misty Step for the advantages that it serves in battle, but she also just loves the feeling that it brings.
22: What languages is your character fluent in?
She is fluent in Common, Elvish, and Draconic. She can pick up a few bits and pieces of Thieves Cant, however she is far from fluent in it.
23: What do they do after the absolute crisis?
She and Astarion find a place in the Strand as a home base and set out on a mission to find a cure to help him walk in the sun. Finding a cure for Astarion is very important to Lo because although, he is just happy to be alive and free, she can see that sometimes he is upset that he no longer is able to walk in the sun. Something that she remembers vividly is the look in Astarion's eyes when he saw the city for the first time in hundreds of years in the light of day. She wanted to be able to return that feeling to him.
24: Does your character believe in the afterlife?
Yes
25: What arcana major best represents your Tav?
Is this referring to tarot? I would say the Hermit as it represents introspection, spiritual enlightenment, and inner guidance. She learns a lot about herself through her journey and comes to terms with things that she did not bother delving into before like trauma.
26: What animal best represents your Tav?
A crow. Crows are known for their adaptability and intelligence. She isn't incredibly intelligent traditionally speaking, but she is street smart/very observant for sure. Crows also are solitary creatures sometimes, but when they do travel in groups, they are very close to those they associate with.
27: What was their life like before the events of BG3?
She grew up very poor in Heapside Strand, and she did not have a good relationship with her parents. She learned how to survive from her friend Zeva who taught her ways to get money from people. It began with simple ruses when she was a child, and as she got older, they graduated to things like pickpocketing and breaking and entering. Long story short, her parents are out of the picture, and she is alone. She meets Judd and grows closer to him as he assumes the role of her mentor. They become very close, and life is simple and enjoyable with him. She found it to be monotonous at times since he would not allow her to default to her thieving ways, but she enjoyed it nonetheless.
28: Is your character the de facto leader of the party? Or do they consider someone else to be the leader?
At first, she looks towards the other to lead the group. She considers that Wyll would a good suit as the leader of the group because he is well trained in battle, but he is also morally sound. She eventually ends up assuming the role despite this.
29: Does your Tav want to utilize the tadpole powers or not?
She uses them to get an upper hand. When an opportunity for an upper hand is given, she takes it. She stopped questioning hand outs a long time ago. She is someone who takes what she can get. All of that to say, she does not unlock the tadpole abilities above 2-3 levels as she does not want to get too deep into something that she does not understand, but yes, she does use it to an extent to have an advantage on her foes.
30: What's your favorite thing about your Tav?
My favorite thing about her is that she is scrappy. She is also somewhat of an underdog. She will claw and fight tooth and nail to survive. She does have a few shaky moments from time to time, but all in all, she is almost willing to do whatever it takes—some things she cannot bring herself to do as they will compromise her "moral" character. She has some questionable morals, but deep down, she is a kind and loving person who just wants somewhere to belong. I also like that she is somewhat of a fashionista when she is able to afford nicer things that she was not able to afford earlier in life. She is a person that feels good when they look good. She is an enjoyer of fine clothes as that is not a luxury that she was often afforded. There are a few other things that I could mention, but that is just to name a few.

Tell us more about your Tav! You said she's followed you for 10 years?
First of all, thanks for askin’! I quite never got the chance to talk so much about Rey <3 So here’s a quick explanation about her origins, and under cut for more background stuff, may someone be interested.
Back in 2013, I started to play Neverwinter online. It was 22nd December when I created her as my first character in the game. An elf mage, as usual (there’s not the sorcerer class). A bit later I got the Knight of the Feywildpack, that allowed me to choose a specific sub-race, the Moon Elf. I had fun with this character, I completed as many modules as I could.
Tumblr media
Then in 2015 they released the Underdark module – the first one written by R.A. Salvatore himself.
Until then, Farelya – Rey – was just a character I played in a game. Then I started writing fanfics, based on quests of the  Mage Engine campaign (tied to the Underdark one) – the longer one from a quest in particular, “A view of Menzoberranzan”, where you’ve to disguise yourself as a Lolth priestess, followed by Drizzt as your “prisoner”, and retrieve Gromph Baenre's Grimoire from a drow outpost.
Slowly, I started to add details to details. Her wicked amulet, that holds the soul of a black dragon, eager to be fed of her fears and terrors – eager to indeed consume her and wholly possess her body, destroying her soul and mind; her over-protective pseudodragon, Vulthuryol (name I chose from one of the secret dragons in Skyrim), her familiar – and details of her past, why she’s afraid of her own amulet, and why her eyes have two different colors.
I wrote 30+ pages just for THAT oneshot and I’ve yet to finish it.
But yep, I’m currently playing her adventures in the Sword Coast – and in Space now, as well (the new module is named Spelljammer. Not really my cup of tea, honestly, I prefer the classic fantasy to the science one) xD
Here we go with some background stuff, then :D Be careful, there are some gruesome parts
She was born in the Moonwood, as an only child. Magic flows in the female part of her family, indeed both her mother and grandma are sorceresses – while her father is a ranger. She started to practice very early to gain more and more control over her powers, all while occasionally wearing magic-repression cuffs to keep her wild magic at bay. She feared she may hurt others, but yet she was eager to learn.
Later in her life, she often visited Silverymoon and the libraries of the Lady’s College, at least before starting her life as an adventurer – Moon elves have a great wanderlust, after all.
She was in reverie, after a long journey, when she got kidnapped by a group of young (and crazy) Red Wizards apprentices, who had fun using her basically as guinea pig – that’s how she lost her right eye. They tried to break her. Left her to starve, drugg*d her, and pulled her eye off while she was still conscious (totally groggy due to all the alcohol they gave her to drink, obviously against her will. That’s why she doesn’t drink alcohol at all, since then. Not to mention Volo's attempt to "help" her - attempt that triggered her so badly that it resolved in his face being almost burn to crisp.)
Thanks to an amulet her master gave her years prior, she managed to (barely) escape, get found and healed by Mielikki's priests. Unknowing to her, that same necklace held the soul of a black dragon (not really a phylactery, tho) that actually could help her increasing her powers, but at the cost of little pieces of her humanity.
That’s when she got to know the creature that, later on, would become her familiar and closer confidant – a pseudodragon that she’d name Vulthuryol.
She went back to find those mages and got a (quite) gruesome revenge, taking one of the most beautiful eyes of them to replace the one she lost (the now-gold one).
Since then, Vul vigils over her reverie, allowing her to rest when she needs (this, until she got closer to Halsin).
Aaand that’s all, guys! If you want to know something more about my Moon baby, please let me know <3

My first Tiefling (and they are so pretty!!): Zorthos Akognto Yerwitcher
Allignement: Chaotic good
Class: Cleric (Worship of Lathander)
Love Interest: Astarion Ancunin (spawn)
Likes: Sunbathing, Painting, Polishing their horns
Hates: Sound of Violin, Birds, Having their tail being pulled
Tumblr media
Backstory:
Zorthos is a Tiefling of Mephistopheles and a cleric of Lathander. When they woke on the nautiloid, with no memory of their past, they discovered a Lathander precept tome on their person. This lead them to believe that they were a worshipper of Lathander. However their urges and their insticts left them with conflicting opinion towards their supposed faith.
In reality, the tome belonged to the last target they had murdered before their own demise at the hand of Orin. They however decided to keep to this new found faith and to the principles that they did align with, which helped them overcome their dark urges and guide their companion towards a suistainable future.
Their romance with Astarion started on rocky grounds at first, as Zorthos, believing to be a Lathander follower was fighting their attraction to the undead vampire. They eventually decided to do what made them happy believing that they would eventually find a solution to Astarion vampirism and if not that Lathander would probably have better things to do than care about Zorthos' love life.
After settling with Astarion and the spawns in the Underdark they regularly travels above ground to Waterdeep to research a remedy to vampirism alongside Gale.

The Sacrificial Urchin - Prologue
MASTERLIST
Summary: Introduction of Muriel Rivvikyn's parents, Faera and Igor. Muriel is finally born, and the story begins.
Overall fic warnings: Graphic warning (i.e. gore, canon-level violence to BG3/DND), religious themes, sensitive topics (i.e. homelessness, mental health, bullying, etc), toxic relationships, and a bunch of angst
Chapter warnings: Childbirth, mentions of some medical stuff, but otherwise fluffy
Chapter length: 781
Author's Note: This is the prologue to introduce Muriel! I wanted to ease readers into the story first, and also work on the context of Muriel's parents and background first. A huge thanks to my partner, @lucidz-dreamz and @beedlejoose for beta-reading this and helping with making edits! Comments and reblogs are welcome and encouraged, and I do hope you enjoy this story!
A baby’s cries broke through the otherwise quiet evening, finally signifying the end of a grueling period of pain, overwhelming discomfort, and illness. The two new parents gazed upon the bloodied, squealing babe with a mixture of awe, relief, and overwhelming joy. The father carefully took care of the umbilical cord, uttering words of encouragement to his wife as he wiped his new child clean.
“It’s a girl,” Igor said softly, his tears glimmering in the warm lamplight.  “It’s a little baby girl, my love. . .” he continued, then looked up at his exhausted, sweaty wife. “We have a daughter. . . after so long. . .”
The mother could only laugh tearfully, pain ebbing away as she looked at her baby girl. “Several months and so many tries. . . hah- it’s a miracle. A gift from the gods. . .  a little daughter just for us.” “We’re parents, love.”
“We are. . . we have a little baby girl. . . And it was worth every second of waiting for her to arrive,” Faera said in turn, reaching for her newborn. Igor relented, handing off the infant to her as he tended to the other matters of cleaning up and ensuring Faera’s health was still stable. Faera could only look at her new daughter with joy, having that first moment of skin to skin contact, and wrapping her in a soft, handmade blanket prepared for this very occasion. “Such a tiny, sweet thing,” she commented. “She’s perfect . . . my sweet, sweet little girl.” Wails slowly turned to fussy sounds, then soft coos. Once held close and enveloped in warmth, the babe quieted and relaxed.
“She’s a beauty,” Igor said, smirking up at Faera. He added, “Must be that elven side she inherited.”
“Oh don’t give yourself so little credit. . . I’m sure you influenced her beauty somehow with your human charm.” “Definitely,” Igor replied to her, sarcasm evident. “. . . She’s got my hair at least,” he added, smirking this time.
Faera snorted a laugh, then shook her head at her husband’s comments. “You and your sarcasm,” she muttered. “Maybe I passed that trait on too.” “Oh what a terrible curse that would be. I’d have to deal with two of you.” “You’d love it.” That reply earned another snort of laughter.
Once most of the blood was cleaned away and Igor ensured there were no leftover complications that needed tending to, he moved to wash his hands before lying beside his wife. A few strands of his inky hair fell in front of his face, and tanned freckled skin wrinkled as a smile moved over his bearded face. Faera saw his teary smile and felt her own tears build again; damn Igor for infecting her with overwhelming joy.
“Have you thought of a name, love?” he asked her. He stared down at the pale baby wrapped in green cloth, with a mess of short black hair stuck to her little head and small, steady breaths leaving her chest. “In truth, I’ve struggled on what to name her. She’s two halves combined. . . human and elf. . . She’ll already have the elven last name.” Faera confessed.
“Shall I come up with a name then?” Igor then suggested.
His wife sighed, “That would be a good idea, yes.”
He thought long and hard about what name would suit his new daughter, one of his calloused hands gently petting her head as he pondered it. “How about. . . something to do with nature?” Igor suggested, which earned a nod of approval. He went through all the basic ideas first. Tree and flower names sounded too common and simple. Names like Creek or Brook weren’t fitting either. But after several seconds and much internal debate, Igor found one he liked. . . He just hoped Faera liked it too.
“What about Muriel? Muriel Rivvikyn?” he asked her.
Faera glanced over at him, tilting her head. “What does ‘Muriel’ mean?”
“Translated from one human dialect. . . it means sparkling or shining sea. . .” Igor explained, “The dialect comes from my mother’s side of the family. You’d love them if you ever wanted to visit. They’re very blunt, but loving people.”
Faera seemed to accept the idea, then looked back down at their daughter. “Muriel Rivvikyn,” she whispered with a grin. “Sounds perfect for her. . .”
Muriel blinked open her eyes, cooing softly from her mother’s arms. Igor couldn’t help but cry with overwhelming happiness at this new blessing he’d received. “She has your eyes, love. . .” he whispered through tears, smiling at Faera.
“That she does. . . Hello Muriel,” whispered Faera. Muriel cooed once more, the faintest of grins on her chubby face. Her small hands reached up for her mother, blinking with the same colored gray eyes.
Faera’s smile widened as she spoke, “Welcome to the world, little one.”

I'm pretty sure that the 'swimming lesson' just straight up killed this goofball. Anyway, my favorite thing about patch 6 are the stool lines. Shadowheart calling my Tav 'love' is on par with Jaheira calling him 'cub'. I'm also uploading them without the background so they can sit on my dash.

Elowyn as:
-Color: crimson
she honestly just reminds me of the color
-Flower: poppy
poppies are associated with death and rebirth so it goes along with how her life as she knew it changed forever after being abducted onto the nautiloid.
-Animal: crow
crows are known for their adaptability and intelligence. i wouldn’t say that Lo is incredibly intelligent traditionally speaking, but she is street smart/very observant for sure. crows also are solitary creatures sometimes, but when they do travel in groups, they are very close to those they associate with.
-Scent: cinnamon
i feel like she would def smell warm and earthy!
-Song: The Hell Song by Sum 41
this song just reminds me of coming to terms with horrible things that happen to you and around you
-Feeling: Numb
this girl was numb through the entirety of act 1 let’s be honest
