Taurus x aquarius relationship compatibility?

typical disclaimer: i'm assuming you meant sun signs; this interpretation can change heavily based on the individual's other placements/natal chart as a whole

personally i love this pairing! i find taureans and aquarians tend to date each other like... surprisingly often, and it tends to last a while too. you would think they shouldn't ever work together, but they can! the fixed signs in general are very drawn to one another; tendency to ~fixate~ on one another and be completely enamored. i will say, though, if the taurus and aquarius aren't developed, or they don't have other favorable/harmonious synastry aspects, this will be a tough, tough relationship to make work.

additionally, if we were talking, say, taurus x aquarius venus, my answer would be a LOT different and way more unfavorable/negative.

here's why they work:

LOGICAL & INTELLIGENT | Both signs are very, very logical and straight-forward. They're blunt, say what's on their mind at all times, and think things through clearly + go over all possible options before forming their opinions. They can easily make decisions together, given they're on the same page, as they have similar thought processes and logical natures. Neither are extremely emotional, which they will appreciate about one another, especially when it comes to potential disagreements, planning life together, and so forth.

INTENSITY | Two fixed signs always brings a lot of intensity in a relationship. They are stubborn, intense and thoughtful. When they really, really like someone and commit, it is a serious, life-long thing for them. Fixed signs (esp Taurus/Scorpio) tend to have a "date to marry" mindset, so when two of them fall for one another, the relationship is very close-knit and the love is intense! These two can match one another's intensity when it comes to commitment and love. As fixed signs, there's a mutual intense fixation on one another.

EXPANDING HORIZONS | Because these two can be so opposite, it's part of why they can work well! They lack in some areas the other thrives in, and are able to learn from one-another a lot. Taurus teaches Aquarius the importance of being grounded, and paying attention to practical, material matters. Often a bit chaotic and scattered, Taurus brings Aquarius down to Earth and provides structure in their lives. On the other hand, Aquarius helps stubborn, scared-of-change Taurus embrace and explore new ideas and takes on life - opening up their mental spheres to new concepts they may have never considered before. here's why they don't:

VALUE MIS-ALIGNMENT | This is the biggest reason why this relationship could fail. Taurus and Aquarius are on completely different ends of the spectrum when it comes to values. Taurus generally honors tradition and is strong in their values, whatever those values may be. Aquarius hates tradition and does everything possible to go against the grain. It's very, very likely that they will have different and wildly mismatched views on commitment, relationships, home-life, etc. On top of that, Taurus might frequently feel embarrassed by how Aquarius acts in public; they may also not understand their rants/rambles/views in general and get annoyed at a lot of what they say; it will be frustrating and non-sensical to them; too idealistic and dreamer-like. On the other hand, Aquarius may find Taurus too stagnant and change-resistant (not that Aquarians are /that/ amazing with change, but better than Taurus, lol); they may also struggle having conversations with Taurus due to their slower speaking style and "dated" opinions/values. They may find Taurus too behind, and close-minded/stubborn compared to them.

STUBBORN & OPINIONATED | We have two fixed signs. They're both extremely stubborn, and both of these signs are very opinionated - and they don't hide that, either. There can end up being a lot of fights between these two because of their stubborn natures. Aquarius will likely get most annoyed; they'll feel like arguing with Taurus is like talking to a brick wall. Meanwhile Taurus will feel cornered and upset that Aquarius challenges their long-standing, grounded views.

FREE-SPIRIT VS SET IN STONE | Pretty self-explanatory, but Aquarius is free-spirited and often extroverted/outgoing. Taureans are grounded and generally introverted/homebodies. Aquarians generally enjoy going out and exploring the world - especially alone. This can trigger Taurus' jealous/possessive nature when it's happening so often - and can often make them feel deprived of the attention and quality time they need in a relationship. Taurus needs security and routine, Aquarius is unpredictable and spontaneous; there is a lot of clashing here. Aquarius may feel held back, judged or even manipulated by Taurus, whereas Taurus may end up feeling ignored, misunderstood and unloved by Aquarius.

🪐 No one seems to fully understand how Aquarius Moons work, including Aquarius Moons themselves.

🪐 I love how heavy Mars influence shows up in people's physical appearance! I’ve always noticed that people with a lot of mars dominance in their chart have a big forehead and/or a widows peak, as well as rosy cheeks or a naturally reddish/pinkish undertone to their skin.

🪐 Undeveloped Virgo and Sagittarius placements absolutely do not give a fuck about your feelings. They can be extremely self centred I've noticed to almost a dangerous detriment.

🪐 A lot of people give Scorpio women the Mean Girl rep, but honestly I think that title should be lent to Virgo women too 😭 They tend to have this hangup about perfection, and I think when undeveloped it shows more as an aversion to anything 'weird' or against the status quo.

🪐 Cardinal Mars signs (that's Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) reallyyyyy can't hide their dislike for things 😅 people, food, celebrities, whatever. If they don't announce it verbally then you can at least tell by their face lmao.

🪐 Scorpio placements can dish it but can't take it. Cancer placements will sneakily dish it under the guise of a joke and then start crying if you try to dish it back.

🪐 People with Leo Moon tend to 'perform' their activism a lot. That's not to say that they don't practice what they preach, but I think when they do speak up their image has something to do with it

🪐 If you were born under a Mercury Retrograde it might feel like you were destined to be misunderstood no matter how well articulated you are 🙃 I don't think it's a problem with yourself as much as it is with the people you encounter through your life though. Your biggest 'ops' might be people who are very particular and specific about word choice - think Gemini and Virgo Placements (if you are a Gemini/Virgo yourself, this may manifest for you as harbouring some self-hatred or significant self-consciousness).

His father used to be a Baptist speaker. The ruler of the 9th house of religion (Mercury, natural speech imdicator) is very close to the ic (family). His parents were both activists for African American rights and instilled the black pride in their children while upbringing them. Mercury near the ic sextiles Mars which rules the 11th house of collective groups.

When he was 6 his father d!ed supposedly of a car accident but there are theories that a white racist group is responsible for that. Malcolm X was in a Cancer year which activated his Mars. Mars rules his 4h of family and home and it is in a poor condition. I mean it's in its own bound and triplicity but still...also his 4h moon is maltreated by an out of sign opposition from the out of sect malefic saturn. Also the 4h moon is applying to Mercury which rules 6h of enemies and injuries. I usually don't consider out of sign aspects but this one was too stark to ignore 🤔 . When counting from the sect light he was in a Libra year ruled by 6h Venus- back to the 6h . And libra is on his 10 which also rules parental figures.

When he was 13 years old his mother suffered a nervous breakdown and was admitted to a hospital. Fallen Jupiter Ruling 12h of hospitals is squaring his natal Moon (mother) in 4h of family. He was in an Aquarius year which contains his Lot of Mother ruled by the out of sect malefic saturn. It's also conjunct the South Node (decrease). He spent some time in prison , Jupiter - ruler of 12h of prisons - in 1h, and in prison he joined a group called the Nation of Islam. That Jupiter is also rx, fallen, and the out of sect malefic saturn rules it by sign and bound , so it shows suffering from 12h matters such as prison. Jupiter is also a significator of religion so he was involved in a religious organization (Nation of Islam) and became one of its leaders after his parole.

Jupiter also rules his Lot of Spirit in Sagittarius in the 12h so it shows how he decided to join the Nation of Islam in prison. His Jupiter and Lot of Spirit are in antiscia (symmetrical relation similar to conjunction in effect).

So later he got disillusioned by the Nation of Islam and left them , he went to Islamic Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca), and changed his name to El Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. The twelvth part of his Jupiter is next to the twelvth part of his midheaven and they fall into his natal 9h.

Jupiter and 9h show religion and also 9th house is the house of pilgrimage to sacred sites. Midheaven is leadership. The 9th part of his moon is also in Sagittarius and the 12th part of his moon is also in Pisces. Both ruled by Jupiter signifying religion.

The 12th part of his midheaven is in 9h which also rules law. He wanted to be a lawyer as a child and he excelled at school but a white teacher crushed his hope and told him that it's impossible for a black man to practice law.

His Lot of Exaltation is in Capricorn and his Lot of Fortune is in Aquarius. Both ruled by saturn in Scorpio. Saturn in Scorpio is 10th from Fortune. Lot of Exaltation ruler being 10th from Fortune shows prominence. Now it's ruled by the out of sect malefic so of course his leadership was faced with challenges. Is it possible to find relevant correlations between one's MBTI and one's birth chart? It's like guessing one's MBTI type simply by reading one's complete birth chart.

MBTI x Astrology

I'm thinking you might be able to answer that just as well, if not better, than me! Personally, I think that astrology gives you a way more nuanced view of who somebody is because there are so many more combinations of signs that apply to a single person that most people don't know about, which is why they discredit it so often as being fake. The whole "there aren't only 12 kinds of people in the world just because there's 12 signs" argument (which is ironically used for MBTI too) is a pretty bogus argument once you actually learn how much deeper astrology goes than just your sun sign. You've also got your rising sign, moon sign, all the other planets, not to mention aspects between them, or astroids or nodes.

So, in short, I think you can find ways to connect them, although astrology relies on a lot more interpretation that you might find many different birthcharts that can lead to same MBTI types.

But yeah anyway lets skip to the part where I look for an excuse to show you my birthchart so we can talk about it!

Aquarius placements: AC/rising, Uranus, Jupiter

Aquarius being an air sign that's all about new things, new ideas and technology, screams iNtuition in general to me, but especially Ne, because Ne loves novel possibilities. Having 3 unique placements here pretty much triples this energy. The rising sign being Aquarius makes this a key part of who I aspire to be, and having Uranus (a co-ruling planet of Aquarius) conjunct (right now top of) my AC amplifies this quirky energy even more. Then you've got Jupiter, the planet of luck, expansion, and for lack of better words, good vibes lmao, also in Aquarius, which puts an emphasis on the positive attributes of Aquarius. Because Aquarius is also associated with SUDDEN change and revolution, I would say it's more likely someone would be a perceiver, if the have a lot of placements in this sign (unless they lean more into the Saturnian Aquarius energy, instead of the Uranian Aquarius energy like yours truly).

Possible types: xNTP, xNFP

Aries placements: Sun, Saturn, Venus

Aries is a fire sign, and the first sign of the zodiac, so it is often referred to as the sign of self. This is because the first thing we all do when we begin life is become acquainted with ourselves and who we are. I said in a previous post that it actually makes sense that I could be an xxTP as an Aries, because one potential VICE of heavy Aries placements is selfishness, which sounds a lot like low/inferior Fe, which is focused on OTHER people's feelings. Having Venus in Aries also strikes me as being very low Fe, because one of my ways of expression love an affection is actually fighting with you (which Aries loves to do lmao), which can VERY EASILY become toxic (espcially since Venus is in detriment in Aries, ie, it does NOT like being there), but in its best form, it can manifest as being proactive in having difficult conversations with your loved ones because it shows that you're willing to fight with them to reach the resolution on the other side, even if it feels unpleasant in the moment. And lastly, Saturn is the planet of hard work, restrictions, playing the long-game, and NOT cutting corners in order to receive your rewards. It ALSO does not like to be in Aries, because Aries is impatient and wants to take action NOW. This can also imply a perceiving type who prefers to jump into action without a plan.

Possible types: xNTP, xSTP

Taurus placements: Mercury, Moon

Taurus is an Earth sign, and known for being careful, consistent, and sometimes stubborn. Mercury being the planet of communication in Taurus implies very CAREFUL communication. This will be somebody who does not want to speak until they are 100% sure of what they want to convey to other people, and dislike being wrong. This CAN be a judger-sounding trait, and it's definitely a possibility, but I can also see this as an introverted-judging-cognitive-function-thing (Ji), which would actually be high Ti or Fi, bringing us back to a perceiving type. This is because Taurus is generally a pretty introverted sign and can do a lot of subjective deliberating. The moon is exalted in Taurus (it likes being there), and being the planet of your deep emotions in a sign that is not known for being super emotional (like all Earth signs, shout out to your Virgo moon, Suo!), it creates an interesting combination of not FEELING super strong emotions, but being aware and confident of the emotions and opinions you DO have. This can also err on the side of being stubborn in some opinions, once your mind has been made up, which I can definitely be - BUT the catch is that they tend to take their time forming their opinions over a long time. But yeah, once their mind has been made up, it's hard to change it. This sounds a lot like an inferior feeling function to me.

Possible types: ExTJ, IxTP

I could go on with the other placements, but I honestly think this is already an information overload, so I'll just leave it at this for now. We should do more with this kind of stuff, though, it's super interesting!
