Once I tired of the countless tests that fate had thrown my way Each time I rose up, I was tossed back down until finally, I began to understand that existence was not enough and so I began to live and to create a life developing the skills I needed My earliest efforts were shitful at best yet with time, the quality of my art improved as did the quality of the artist. Soon enough, I decided to take the leap and live as my art dictated The anguishing joy that comes from committing to something you love The quality of my work improved and slowly garnered some attention Now that I had journeyed through inner fire I could share my efforts outward not for the praise of critics but out of a longing to share what I had learned Could I balance my need to grow along with my need to communicate? Add to that a life becoming fuller as a family built up around me How could I find that middle point and best serve the shifting balance? I could only succeed by grabbing the reigns taking full responsibility for what was to come That was the point at which my journey truly began

Che un nuovo viaggio abbia inizio! Chi mi segue sa bene come di solito storco il naso davanti a mazzi di tarocchi con illustrazioni situazionali, stile Rider-Waite-Smith (eppure cominciai a studiare proprio su quelli, agli inizi!). Preferisco i cosiddetti tarocchi marsigliesi e italiani, dove non c’è nulla di superfluo. Questo mazzo, l’Aquarian Tarot dell’artista italo-americano David Palladini, però, nonostante sia un clone RWS, ha uno spirito diverso. Mi ha sempre affascinato particolarmente. Lo sento più “vivo”. I volti pallidi ed eterei e il cielo bianco sullo sfondo, che a volte prende tinte di viola… non so spiegarlo ma tutto ciò mi suona molto “Aquarian”. Ho intenzione di usare questo mazzo in futuro. Ho intenzione di prendere di nuovo in mano cose che avevo lasciato in sospeso. Ho intenzione di ritornare a fare letture per clienti - troverò il tempo per farlo; e forse anche qualcosa di più. I smolder, another wilted light, -lost. Relief, silence, death. I awaken, a new child, -found. Breath, laughter, life. Two ends, both beginnings. With a glimmer, the ebb continues. Quietly, the water pours into nothing, forever. This, magnificence, floods us all.

The Cunning Woman by GAR I was lost in the woods of my life walking endlessly seeking my way when her light drew me. It was this eerie red glow coming from the odd clearing up ahead You would think I'd be wiser yet I was weary and anything would be better than wandering aimlessly As I approached I saw her From the back, she appeared beautiful thin, sleek, youthful and dark and then she turned An old crone stared back at me I was horrified and yet oddly still aroused as if the youthful apparition still gripped me despite the apparent reality I couldn't meet her gaze as if her very presence discomforted me as if my very being was called into question without her saying a word She beckoned and I followed her in I cannot say whether I stayed a day, a month or even a year in that timeless time as she taught me things about myself and how life worked that somehow I had never learned Indeed the mysteries of existence otherwise known as self-understanding became clear beneath her tutelage as I came to understanding. her gaze became easier to fathom. Was she what I had been looking for or was it myself in her young old reflection as she weaved me into her web? When I awoke she was gone She had taken away the luxury of feeling lost as now I knew my way and took full responsibility for my own timeless nature.
