Well, that was a first. I just checked my email and i got 4 alerts from AO3 about comments on my Sons of Anarchy story. Saying that Ryder (my oc) was pathetic and shame to women for having a moment of weakness and sleeping with Jax.

Is it wrong for a wife to have a moment of weakness and have a moment with her husband? who yes did cheat on her and move her former friend into their house after Ryder left him for cheating in the first place?

The one review said that Ryder was pathetic for doing that.

Her sister blushed, twirling in her dress. “Thanks, Sam. I think blue is my color,”.

Sam smiled tightly, trying to hide her annoyance. Tara was going out on a dinner date with this douchey frat boy she matched on Tinder. And it was safe to say Sam wasn’t a fan.

For the last two days, Sam had been following the boy. His name was Ryder, the youngest child trying to get a finance degree. She had taken off two days of work to watch this boy be a raging misogynist in class and racist with his friends.

He wasn’t good enough for Tara. Nowhere near it. And Sam wouldn’t allow this fledgling romance to continue past date number one.

But Mindy wasn’t on the same page with Sam. Nowhere near. The three girls went dress shopping four days ago to find Tara's new clothes. She had helped her baby sister buy three different options. And today was the day Tara was going on the date, so the three girls gathered and voted on the best one for Tara.

Sam did her best to act excited, but Mindy was ecstatic for Tara. The girl had even gone as far as to give Tara money for the date. It blew Sam’s mind that she was the only one against this boy.

As Tara headed to the bathroom to work on her hair, Sam turned to Mindy, fuming a bit.

“What the hell is wrong with you? This date is a bad idea. You’re not stupid, Min,” she hissed, staring daggers at the girl.

Mindy rolled her eyes back, placing a hand on Sam’s. “Sam, do I look like a fucking idiot? Of course, this is a bad idea. We can’t let this happen!”

Taken aback, Sam blinked in confusion. “Uh, what?”

Standing up, Mindy started pacing, signaling that she was about to monologue. “Okay, obviously this is a bad idea, we know this. But we also know that if I come off too strong about being against this, Tara might go anyway. And we also know that if you come off too strong about being against this, Tara will 100% go anyway. But here’s the kicker- we can reverse-psychology her.”

Sam raised an eyebrow, signaling the girl to continue.

Mindy grins, her eyes ablaze. “We play chicken. We throw our full support into this horrible idea. And we force her to come back to us without her knowing that this was our idea!” she floats, pumping a fist into the air.

Frowning, Sam crossed her arms. “Okay. It sounds like lying, though. Tara and-”

“- and you both had agreed to be honest about everything. I know. We’ve been over this. Just trust me, okay? We can do this!” Mindy said, cutting Sam off in her tracks.

Rolling her eyes, Sam nodded. “Fine. Let's do it.”

“Why did you let her go? Who knows what that creep wants from her? That’s my baby sister! I know I can’t control what she does and who she sees- but god, this was the wrong decision!”

Mindy looked back at Sam with shocked eyes. “I didn’t think she’d go through with it, Sam! I thought this would work, I did!” she stammered.

Sam threw her hands in the air in frustration. “This whole plan was based on what you thought? Fuck!”.

“Sam,” Mindy said quietly, her eyes wide.

Sam shook her head vigorously. “No, I’m going after her. This game of chicken might work for you, but it doesn’t work for me. That’s my little girl,” she spat, turning around to chase after her sister.

But instead, she was smothered by a hug. It was Tara, holding her around the waist.

“What’s this?” she asked, confused by the way Tara clung to her middle. She eventually loosened up, hugging Tara back. Her sister was shaking against her middle, crying a bit.

Finally, her sister spoke, her eyes filled with anger. “How could you do that? You’re supposed to protect me and prevent me from doing stupid things! What the hell was that!” she cursed pulling back from Sam.

Taken aback, Sam stared at her blankly. This wasn’t what was supposed to happen. There was no script for this.

“I- I guess I thought we could reverse-psychology you. It’s Mindy’s idea,” Sam stuttered, pointing at the other girl.

Mindy threw her hands up in frustration. “Dude!”

Tara looked at the girl, shushing her. “Not now. I’m mad at Sam for not being mi guardiana. That’s your job!” she groaned, clearly frustrated.

Sam smiled, her eyes shining with unshed tears. “Oh Mi Amor, if that’s what you wanted I would’ve done that. I just want to give you space to do your thing and make your own choices,” she softly said, tucking a lock of Tara’s hair behind her ear.

His sister’s eyes softened, gazing up at Sam with such bright adoration. “I just need you. I always just need you. You can make my choices any day. As long as I have you by my side,”.

Sam wrapped her sister in a hug, kissing her cheek. Tara hugged her back just as fiercely.

“Te quiero mi cielo,” she whispered, rocking the pair back and forth.

Chad and Ethan had been dating for over 8 months now, They have done everything you can think is possible but always thought they were missing something, that was till they meant you. You saw Tara in the kitchen making dinner, you walked up to her and placed a kiss on her head before heading to the table and sitting down “Where is everyone?” You asked her “ Sam is out with Danny, Chad and Ethan are in their dooms, Mindy is out with Ankia and I’m getting ready for a date.” You raised an eyebrow at her “ A date? With whom?” You notice a blush start to form on her face which causes you to smirk “ It’s with this girl I met at a party…her name is Sydney” You smiled at her “ Well I'm happy for you, she better treat you right tho or she is going have to deal with me and Sam” Tara let out laugh “ Your skinny ass fighting? You have no upper arm strength anyways” Tara teased you “ Okay listen here short-stack” You joke back to her, she let out a gasp through a hand on her heart “ Oh you wound me Y/N” She smiled at you “ But thanks for the warning, But I better get going. Chad and Ethan were asking for you earlier but I told them you were at work. Might want to go see what they want” You gave her a questioning look “ Okay…I'll talk to you later. You decided to go check what the boys needed, you walked to the door and put on your shoes, walking out the door. You got in your car and drove over to the doom the boys lived at, once you arrived to lock the car and headed towards the doom rooms. Once he found the one he wanted he knocked on the door, he waited at the door for a while before a panting Chad unlocked the door. Your eyes widen seeing him shirtless, only in boxers and sweating. Chad smiled when he saw you “ Y/N hey, I didn’t think you would be here this soon, to be honest” At the sound of hearing your name, Ethan pulled his boxers up and walked towards the door. Your eyes widened, even more, seeing Ethan in the same state as Chad “-” You couldn’t speak, your two crushes were standing in front of you shirtless, covered in sweat only in their boxers.

Ethan undid his arms before getting on his knees and pulling your jeans and boxers down, helping you step out of it standing back up throwing the clothes somewhere in the room.

Newish Comics:

Birds of Prey #7: things that make me happy this issue: Barbara is back, she's in Dinah's ear, she's choosing to work from her computers rather than go out in the field herself (but still went to speak to Mari in person! This is a great balance!). The story is immediately digging into Sin's new connection to the Green. Barda and Cass together remains immaculate.

The lineup of Barbara-Dinah-Barda-Cass-Mari-Maps is FAR more my speed than the last one.

Blue Beetle #7: what is really fun about this was depicting time travel via art style, and picking out art styles that DO look like those books. Like, for instance Jaime's third stop is CLEARLY during Blue Beetle #1-25 (2006) because it has the correct weird deformed-people quirks. This storyline feels completely written as a tribute to Keith Giffen himself, given the characters and the periods Jaime visits, and it's sweet.

Shazam! #9: And it's a random appearance of Jack Ryder being as annoying as the Creeper generally is! I did snort at him tricking Billy into transforming, but compared to the rest of Waid's run it just feels like a fill as their changeover dates didn't line up. Excited to have Josie Campbell next month.

The Bat-Man: First Knight #1: Opened this out of curiosity. This is mostly having fun being a period piece with Golden Age of Hollywood aesthetics and intact late 30s politics. It's a Monster Men retelling, which is funny, as it makes the THIRD Monster Men story I've read in a week (it's not explicit on panel yet that it is one...but it's totally one).

The Warlord #42: this week in Skartaris Shamballah is being attacked by the Therans. Travis fights them, first with his sword Hellfire and then with a laser rifle Shakira acquires from...somewhere. Don't ask too many questions of the cat lady who wears a spiked collar at all times.

Shakira then decides to disappear off on her own adventures after handing over the laser rifle, as cat. Possibly because she finally clued into the fact Travis and Tara are A Thing.

Travis then fights his way to the gates of Shamballah to support Tara...only to find she has been captured by the Therans!

(the fine bondage tradition of this comic continues)

This is pretty dull, but fortunately for me, Jennifer Morgan's yacht failed to return to the real world and she's just been swept ashore in a life raft!

now admittedly everything about this panel looks sus as fuck, but I hear great things will eventually result from it. Also the fact that everything Jen wears here is pink remains hilarious to me.

To catch up on: I need to sit down and get up to date with Batman but I'm still taking a break from Joker. Third issue of Power Pack Into the Storm is on my desk and I haven't opened it yet.

Jaina is the name of character from Warcraft. I think Tara was named after Tara Strong.

My bad for not clarifying, I didn’t mean Jaina, I meant Lily’s other Family Guy OC — Mathew Ryder.

Lily originally posted Whispering Illusion on 10/31 in 2008, in it, Mathew Ryder was Meg Griffin’s boyfriend. At that time, there was another ongoing Meg/OC fic being uploaded called The Spellbook, which predated WI by four months. The name of Meg’s boyfriend in this series? Mathew Kennedy. (A coincidence? Maybe. But with Lily’s history of lifting ideas….)

As for Tara and Tanadra, I meant their “real” names, Allison and Liana. 

Liana is the easiest to explain, Lily didn’t even bother concealing who exactly inspired this persona’s name.

Tara’s is a bit more tricky. Allison, or should I say, Alison is more than likely named after another one of Lily’s friends/followers, (the-amazing-Alison/the-amazing-megagirl/Alison-candiloro). It’s important to note, Lily didn’t reveal Tara’s “real” name until 2022, eight years after her supposed arrest. The only bit of evidence I have to support this theory is the fact both Alisons only have the one L in their name — something Lily herself made a point to establish (yet keeps misspelling to this day.)

Yet another wild coincidence? Or is Lily just that bad at coming up with original names.
