I finished my 150th kdrama, Move to Heaven! It's about an young autistic man whose wayward uncle is roped into becoming his new guardian after the tragic death of his father. This has long been on my watchlist due to the Lee Je Hoon and Lee Jae Wook and all the good things I've heard about it. (Also, this was won my recent what-to-watch-next poll that you all voted in. Thanks.)

All the praise was warranted. This was such a well-told story. They really honored the lives of everyday people who are often left unnoticed by the world. The way the mysteries build keep you intrigued and the slow character reveals leave you satisfied. I really loved the whole cast. Lee Je Hoon was excellent as always but Tang Jun Sang was fantastic as Geuru, conveying a ray of feeling through actions versus typical emotional responses. I recently watched him in Racket Boys and I'm really impressed with his range. This drama is a must watch.

Posters for the new KBS drama "The History of Us" are def giving BL vibes. According to Soompi, "The History of Us" follows a young inspector determined to preserve history and a crown prince who seeks to erase it to become king as they clash over their beliefs. Tang Jun Sang" from "Crash Landing on You" and "Move to Heaven" is the young inspector while Nam Da Reum (who's claim to fame so far has been playing the younger version of the male lead in every K-Drama LOL) is the crown prince.

OOh can't wait to see Tang Jun Sang and Nam Da Reum in a Sageuk, even if it is just a special 60 min episode. I've been watching these kids act for awhile and now they're grown.

OOOH a shamed prince and an upright historian face off regarding the accuracy of royal records? Let's go! I've always been pleased with the history of Korea's historians.

I hope this is going to be like watching the young cast of Queen Seon Deok grow up and become acting power houses and nothing like an idol historical kdrama. Come on KBS don't let me down.

Mau nulis unpopular opinion tentang drakor yang lagi ditonton, yaitu Cinderella at 2 AM. Sebenernya lagi nonton itu sama No Gain No Love sih, tapi karena udah banyak yang nge-rave jadi aku nulis tentang yang satu itu aja haha.

Cinderella at 2 AM ini kan adaptasi dari Webtoon ya, meskipun baru baca sekilas webtoonnya (masih chapter 1 hahaha). Emang si plot-nya teh kerasa loncat-loncat. Kayaknya memang ga mudah juga sih menyesuaikan antara webtoon sama live action drama.

Tapi ini ratingnya kebangetan euy, mentok di nol koma berapa gitu yaa lupa.. terus sempet merhatiin beberapa komen netizen juga katanya keliatan banget age gap antara FL sama ML nya dan FL nya tuh kurang badass cenah.

Pas aku udah nonton, duh ini mah bukan kurang badass, tapi FL nya tuh punya trauma yang berlapis-lapis lebih dari wafer tang* 😫

Bayangin aja, dari kecil udah dipukulin terus sama ayahnya yang pemabuk. Belum lagi dia punya adik kecil yang harus dia lindungi. Mamahnya juga malah ikut marah-marah dan nyiksa anak-anaknya. Gila sih.. kalo aku ada di drama itu mungkin aku bakal ngajak dia ke psikolog 🥲

Setelah nonton ya ngerti sih, ini mah not your typical romance antara si kaya dan si miskin/rakyat biasa aja. Beda sama Business Proposal ataupun King The Land yang cewenya walaupun bukan dari keluarga kaya raya tapi ga pernah kekurangan kasih sayang karena punya keluarga cemara.

Sikap-sikap FL di Cinderella ini sewajarnya begitu, karena itu sebagai coping mechanism-nya dia yang punya lapisan trauma tebel banget dan seumur hidup berada di survival mode, huhu *peluk Ha Yoon Seo 🥹

ML nya juga bukan tipe chaebol yang manja kayak Gu Jun Pyo atau Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho perasaan dapet peran anak manja mulu, hahaha). Entah kenapa, menurut aku dia udah tergolong dewasa dan bijak meskipun lebih muda dari FL nya. Aku gatau ceritanya mereka beda berapa taun, tapi aslinya beda 14 taun dong, ga keliatan 😫

Moon Sang-min berhasil bawain karakter Seo Joo Won yang terus berprogress jadi pemimpin muda yang bijak, ga gampang kepancing emosi, visioner, ngerti kerjaan bawahannya (karena dia emang mulai dari bawah dulu kerjanya), dan ganteng, hahaha..

Liat gestur dan ekspresinya tuh entah kenapa jadi inget sama Mario Maurer waktu jadi P'Shone 😆 Progress yang dia tunjukkan juga sedikit banyak terinspirasi dari Ha Yoon-seo alias sang FL yang udah duluan jadi leader, sehingga dia bisa belajar banyak dari FL nya.

Well, kalo buat aku sih drama ini YES ya, aku kasih rating 9,2/10, hihi..

Sekarang lagi masanya ML drakor pada lebih muda dari FL ya. Meskipun real age gap nya pada jauh, tapi pada bisa balance sih chemistry-nya. Hebat 👏 menyala para berondong 🔥🤣

After years i finally caved in and watched Crash Landing On You, and even then its because of Tang Jun Sang… i finished all 16 episodes and i find it okay only 😐 it didnt live up to how everyone was hyping up about it. it was very cliche, and sure Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin made a very good looking couple and the Switzerland scenes were stunning but… they didnt sell it for me. The it-must-be-fate thing didnt work. The star crossed lovers thing didnt work. the we-actually-crossed-paths thing before… 😐 i watched a majority of their scenes at 1.25x speed and skipped 10s continuously AND THEY NEVER SEEM TO END GOOD LORD. the Seo Dan and Gu Seung Jun pairing had more appeal. The comrades storyline and their relationship with Ri Jeong Hyuk and Seri was cute, and basically the only reason i powered through. the ahjummas bond also. But the rest of it… i could have done without. And seri’s characterisation at times… sighs. the happily ever after ending they got also made no sense. Idk im so mad after all that time spent watching this so-called best kdrama ever!!! all it did was annoy me ive watched way better dramas and right now i would like to delete it from my brain.
