Storytime...

So I literally got into The Mindy Project about 3 months ago (there were about 3 episodes of season 6 on Hulu already), and I watched the series finale about 12ish hours ago and I just keep circling back to thinking about it and the more I think about it the more I love the finale so much.

When I first got into The Mindy Project, I (naturally) asked everyone I knew if they watched it and one friend of mine had started it and then stopped because, and I quote, "Once Danny and Mindy got together and Danny started being a jerk, I got annoyed and stopped watching." This baffled me not only because I tend to stick with shows through even the worst storylines (with some exceptions of course), but also because I couldn't grasp the concept that since a character changed - or rather, showed his true colors - my friend couldn't watch it anymore. Like, yeah, we all stop watching shows for our own reasons, but it was just interesting that once Danny and Mindy's relationship got more complicated my friend backed out.

Anyway, the really wasn't the point of this whole thing. Once I found out that season 6 was the last and that I was once again starting a new show just as it was going off the air, I read my fair share of articles on what this season would be. I distinctly remember an interview with Mindy Kaling where she stated something to the effect that it wouldn't fully wrap everything up into a neat little bow but it would showcase just how everyone has changed and grown. This finale was that and more. I gotta be honest, I was definitely a bit antsy when they (spoiler) introduced Annette's cancer storyline during the last 3-4 episodes. I was curious to know how they would wrap up such a seemingly last-second story in just a few episodes, but they did!

Not to mention all those beautiful references to Episode One, and just showing how things come full circle and how much Mindy Lahiri has grown in 6 years/seasons.

Needless to say, in summation of my thoughts on the series finale (and the series as a whole): I laughed, I cried, I rolled my eyes. But most of all, I fell in love with Mindy Lahiri and everyone else at the practice. And please, if anyone wants to hmu and laugh/cry/discuss, DO NOT HESITATE!!! I already miss this show and I have no one to talk to about it...

Is Morgan The Father of Tamra’s Baby?

As soon as I figured out that they wrote Xosha’s pregnancy into the final season of the Mindy Project I immediately got the idea that somehow Morgan would unintentionally become the father of Tamra’s baby and it looks like the writers are heading in that direction. I assumed he would either be revealed as having donated sperm before or a situation like in the movie The Switch but it looks like they’re just going with the hookup gone wrong trope. Either way I always liked Tamra and Morgan together so this should be really amusing.
