In some ways there was a part of you that both loved him and envied him, you were both born with talent but he was also born with the blood right to rule. You were the humble son of a drunk and a simple arborist that hailed from the Skjaldwood. You shouldn’t have been anything, but still, being nothing was enough to save his life before the conflict came to an end. When he returned home he denoted you Kingsguard upon his ascension, and then Orhan looked at you, he smiled, and he called you Huscarl. King Orhan Gökhan was your friend, which would only make what was to come harder. The King was a man of Iskaran honor, so what did it say about you that you helped his changeling child and disregarded daughter poison the mind of the man you loved? Maybe, had the King been well, Aetheron would not have advanced so quickly. Now, on the road, it will take time for Orhan to recover, but you know that it is only a matter of time until he does.

BIOGRAPHY:
Ever since Freya was a little girl she knew that she wanted to travel the world, see everything that it had to offer. Though her parents didn’t seem too up for her just going off all willie-nillie and to strange places, her parents believed that being in one place would be much better; especially when your family was there around you. Freya loved her folks but they suffocated her too much as if the small town they lived in wasn’t doing that already. Living in the highlands had its perks of seeing new people every holiday but there was no way that she would be able to leave.
Things finally changed on her Twenty-first birthday her parents gave her the dream that she had been itching for, freedom in the envelope of Fifty thousand pounds. What she didn’t know is that they had been saving up for her ever since she had expressed that wish, though what she didn’t know was future events would stall that dream even longer. On a casual ride home from the market, their vehicle was struck un-expectantly by another vehicle; her parents were killed upon impact while Freya only sustained a couple broken bones. It took her months to recuperate and the trip was far from her mind till that envelope fell out when she began packing her parent’s things.
In a heartbeat Freya was on a flight heading to France, to live the dream that she had since she was a child and knew that her folks would want her to be doing this. Instead of taking planes to each place she back tracked on the back roads and the few trains that graced the country sides. The experience was much better than she ever expected and part of herself didn’t want it to end; why should it? That decision was made when she met a certain man.
Philip Markos. She had accidentally ran into him at a small café in Rome and she was instantly smitten by his dark gaze and his charming behavior. He was a part of a traveling band and were making their trek throughout Europe when he offered her a trip with them she couldn’t say no. The days were ones that she would remember forever and as each one went by she grew closer and closer to Philip till the hot gazes turned into fevered touches. For the first time, she could actually say that she had fallen in love. But like all things in her life, it quickly came to an end.
Freya had been sleeping in the bed that she had shared with Philip when rough hands grasped her and pulled her from the bed, holding onto her as she kicked and fought to get free. The men who grabbed her were unknown to her but then she saw Philip and thought she would be free but it was just the opposite. Seeing the money in his hand bells went off in her head and she knew exactly what he was; slave trafficker. Even though she knew her fate she never stopped fighting the men, even as they abused her body and tried to train her into the life style. Her spirit was strong and there was no way that she was going to let them break her, she even had managed to escape a few times but never was able to get away. Instead of toying with her they decided to shove her on a plane heading for Florida; to Adalento City. A place where they think would be the place to break her but she would continue to put up a fight, with creatures that haunt her nights; but she refused to let them break her.

Biography:
Parker was born just outside Kyoto, Japan, to Mako Morimoto and Jenny Patrick. The two had met at the Kyoto University, where Jenny was an exchange student, and had quickly fallen in love. After Parker was born, both her parents dropped out of school to raise her, but a year later, her mother left and moved back to the US. Still, her dad did his best to raise her on his own. Using the skills he’d learned in college, Mako was able to work as a freelance programmer. Even though it didn’t pay much, it was enough for the two of them to live off. As a kid, Parker was very close to her dad. They did almost everything together, from taking the train to school to sharing a bowl of ramen while Mako worked late. As she got older, things began to change. Although she couldn’t understand why, her father became more tense, more worried about her going out at night. More than once, she overheard the elders on her street whispering about people with impossible powers and unexplainable crimes. Parker’s father did his best to protect her from the rumors, but he couldn’t shield her forever.
When Parker was eight, a new yakuza group emerged from the outer reaches of Kyoto. They hit Parker’s neighborhood first, demanding payment for protection. Mako refused to pay, and threatened to call the police. The yakuza didn’t take kindly to the threat. One of them stepped forward, and as Parker watched, his hands ignited into flames. The next thing Parker knew, Mako was surrounded by fire. The yakuza made quick work of the rest of the house, and Parker just barely got out before it was completely engulfed. She ran from the house, terrified and alone. At first, she was tempted to go to the police, but rumors were spreading that the new, powered yakuza had already infiltrated the police. If Parker tried to get help, she would be risking her life. To her, it seemed she had no choice but to stay on the streets, where she could at least have a fighting chance.
Fortunately, Parker was a resourceful girl. Most of the time, she was able to swipe food for herself and set up small time scams to get money. These scams eventually caught the attention of a boss named Gomon-sama who controlled the bay area of Kyoto. He offered her a job running numbers and collecting bets in exchange for money and a place to stay, both of which Parker gladly accepted. Although she proved to be a quick runner, Parker quickly found that she had an even more valuable gift; computers. Using what her father had taught her, Parker started navigating the web, learning everything she could about coding. Soon, she was able hack into almost anywhere.
As she got older, Parker become more independent- and more ambitious. By the time she was 13, she was hacking politicians, corporations, whatever she got paid for. She eventually split off from Gomon-sama, although she still worked with him from time to time. By then, metas had been fully exposed, and Kyoto seemed on the brink of war. More and more, Parker found herself hacking meta-based gangs, yakuza, and meta-supporters. In retaliation, many of her allies found themselves in the middle of turf wars or taken out completely. When Parker was 16, the conflict finally came to a head. The same yakuza that had come after her father, the Four Deaths, was now coming after her. Her apartment was raided, and her entire network was shut down.
With nowhere else to go, Parker fled to the US. After travelling the west coast, she eventually settled in Pansaw, where she started rebuilding her network. This time, she was even more ambitious with her targets. There was no one and nothing she wouldn’t hack for the right price. Parker also started taking more dangerous jobs- ones that took her into the real world. Using her skills, Parker was able to break into almost anywhere to steal or sabotage whatever her client needed. These jobs made her a target, and a valuable one at that. When she was 18, Parker’s activities finally caught up with her. She was on a seemingly small mission- break into a warehouse, grab some tech, and get out. Just as Parker reached her target, she was confronted by another thief going after the same target. The two fought, which quickly turned out to be a mistake. The thief was a meta who was determined to leave with both the tech and Parker herself, who would fetch a good price from any number of meta gangs. During the fight, the meta lost control of their powers and caused a massive explosion, with Parker right in the middle.
Afterward, in the hospital, Parker was told that by all means, she should’ve died. Legally, she actually had died twice, but she was revived by paramedics. In the end, the one thing that saved her was CARMA. They’d been keeping an eye on her, and when the moment arrived, they stepped in to help. Most of Parker’s organs had been badly damaged in the explosion, but CARMA’s latest tech was able to replace what she needed. When she woke up, they offered her even more; they could give her state of the art prosthetics, blended in seamlessly with what was left of her body. In exchange, Parker would use her skills for the government, as well as acting as an agent when needed. Parker accepted without hesitation, and began training with her new tech as soon as she was discharged. Finally, it seemed, she’d be in the perfect position to get the metas under control once and for all.

Only one person saw you, a woman with a kind smile and ears that made her stand out from the rest that passed through. No one else would’ve noticed you, in fact, no one usually did. But that coin got you a meal that night and you never forgot about it. Iskaldrik was built for your kind, not hers, but you kept her secret as she left, and you grew up with fondness in your heart for magic in a place that only held hatred for it. Your curiosity only made you smarter as you grew, and when the woman returned one day, seemingly having not aged, she offered you a choice. She told you to hold your breath, and you’d find the way. So you followed, you dove beneath waves and emerged someone new. Pledging yourself to Boethiah you held no regrets, but you also knew you needed to return home. And as your home country crumbled around you, you did what others could not. You planned escape routes, whispered in ears false tales of refugees going elsewhere, and ran with those who had nothing but the cloaks upon their backs.

Unbroken in the barren fields, the Iskaran plains are a brutal proving ground for youth, but you grew to be more so. He laughed, they all laughed, a shieldmaiden from nothing but dirt and sticks - they said you were nothing, and they shattered your shield, so you used the splinters to gouge out their eyes. Then they called you Jarl. Icefang the undefeated and unbowed. When they challenged you, the girl from nowhere, it was your turn to laugh, your turn to rule, and your turn to be cruel.

Biography:
Riley Filippa Badekker (nee Kjaer) was born to a Danish diplomat, Luna Kjaer, and a Swedish baker, Emil Jessen. Her parents were never on good terms, so although she was named after her father’s father, Riley only has memories of Emil from before she was 9 years old. She was born in Berlin, Germany, where her mother was working at the time, and spent most of her child traveling with Luna. Her mother insisted upon the best international schools, private teachers, and hands-on experience to teach Riley all about the world; by the time she was 14, she had lived in Germany, England, Spain, Mexico, France, Denmark, and Switzerland. Then, once she was old enough, she was sent to the same prestigious British boarding school her mother had attended.
From a young age, her mother had instilled a love of learning and an insatiable curiosity in Riley that blossomed into big dreams as she grew up. She wanted to be an activist, a lawyer, a leader; speak for people who couldn’t speak for themselves. In 2024, Riley attended Northeastern University in Boston for their prized co-op program, offering her a chance to travel the world working with all kinds of agencies promoting human rights, world justice, and fixing any issue she could get her hands on. Her senior year she got a job right out of school in Berlin, and suddenly she felt her life had come full-circle.
Riley was doing the same type of work her mother had loved, fighting injustice and making the world a better place. She was doing work that she loved, but she wasn’t well-liked at work. Even her colleagues felt she was making their jobs harder with her determination to help everyone. Riley was never a person who understood sacrifice. As a result, she was a little lonely. On New Year’s Eve of 2032, she went out, met a guy at a bar, and was never lonely again.
Riley and Karl Badekker were inseparable from that day forward. Karl was heir to a German modern-technology fortune but had aspirations far beyond that. Aspirations Riley believed they could achieve together. By 2034, they were happily married and merely catching a connecting flight in the US when their lives changed in a matter of seconds. It was the first Meta attack in the US that inspired panic among the public, and Riley would forever understand. Her husband was killed right next to her by the uncontrollable power of a Metahuman, and she was powerless to stop it.
She lost her husband in a matter of seconds and spent the next two years trying to escape her sorrow, fear, and loss. She moved back to Denmark with her mother, but when the Meta accidents only grew more frequent, she knew she had to join the cause. She called C.A.R.M.A up and offered to start a branch in Europe, and evidently, her reputation and her convincing speech were enough to impress someone in charge. Riley was part of the introduction of C.A.R.M.A to Germany, a place she called home. She built the base into something she was proud of and felt she was doing good, doing the world a favor even if some people disagreed with her. That was just part of the job, as always. In 2040, Riley heard about some of the research being done in Pansaw and couldn’t stand being so far from it. She transferred almost immediately and left behind a whole world to advance C.A.R.M.A’s progress from the center of the action.

He may have enhanced strengths, but he still has human limitations and the capability to become fatigued, injured, or even killed.

Biography:
Slade was born the only child to a fairly normal set of parents. His mother worked as a paralegal while his father worked his way up from a beat cop to sergeant of the SWAT team. His parents instilled in him the value of hard work and fulfilling one’s duty. It was that work ethic and devotion to duty that helped push Slade to finish college with his degree in criminal justice.
After graduating college, Slade accepted an offer to work for the FBI. The same skills that his father taught him as a child soon brought him to the attention of the leader of the FBI’s HRT (Hostage Rescue Team). Ten years into his career with the FBI, Slade found himself in charge of a joint direct action team composed of agents from the FBI, DEA and ATF along with support from the CIA. This team’s task was to seek out and stop threats to the country no matter where they originated. In June of 2032, Slade’s life took a turn for the strange when the first meta appeared on the streets of Pansaw. The combined task force sent Slade’s team to Pansaw to investigate and assist in the containment of the Meta Incident. The success of Slade’s team when combined with his leadership skills brought him to the attention of what would become CARMA two years later.
Slade was one of the first field agents to join CARMA. Initially on loan from his task force, Slade requested a permanent transfer after a particularly difficult case opened his eyes to the dangers that metas could impose on an unsuspecting populace. Since his transfer, Slade has acted as CARMA’s go to agent whenever hot spots cropped up around the world. The last couple years has saw Slade’s return to CARMA HQ in Pansaw where he was approached by Quinn Parker about joining the Super Soldier program. Seeing this as an opportunity to continue to help protect the people, Slade happily volunteered.
