Seeing Twitter users recommending the People Make Games documentary as a good way to get insight on the issue is so….

I know, I’m always extremely disappointed whenever I come across someone who thinks it’s the end all be all explanations regarding the Studio ZA/UM situation.

Recommending that video always comes with a heavy caveat from me that the person needs to stop around the 40 minute mark since the interviewer shows a very clear bias that’s unbecoming of a journalist.

Regardless, now that more people are finding out about these layoffs, which might take out members of the studio that have been there since the beginning, it could finally help smack some sense into those Twitter users that actually thought, FOR SOME REASON, Rostov, Kurvitz, and Hindpere were lying for shits and giggles rather than seeing what's ACTUALLY going on which is that the investors have a very obvious agenda against the real wronged party. Hopefully this'll also open their eyes to how the People Make Games video fed into this twisted narrative that Kurvitz was somehow at fault/responsible for the theft of his own IP, but that might be asking too much from their concrete brains. Here's hoping though!

So...I've just discovered this recent manga called The Ayakashi Hunter's Tainted Bride. And it was apparently written by the author of the Kakuriyo Bed and Breakfast for Spirits light novels. And illustrated by the artist of Captive Hearts of Oz and the Alice in the Country of series. It just started last year,but apparently it's already gotten pretty popular. It's being licensed in print in March,and of course,I plan to get it. I hope it gets an anime and I also hope this makes more people check out Kakuriyo Bed and Breakfast for Spirits since the second season is coming next year. So we can maybe get the light novels over here. Here's hoping.

the current one i have is the amount of pure garbage i see in character tags, in particular, the "villains" or what i like to prefer calling the antagonists. i just want to see content of my fav in peace but no, i have see weird ass fanart/fics/headcanons about my favorite character being a r*pist, p*edo, or inc*st stuff because people in the fandom tag it in the character name. i don't mind hate, everyone's entitled to their opinion but goodness, i just want to NOT see weird stuff about my favorites for once but it just comes with the territory i guess *le sigh*

Of course, she was one of those who had to suffer as she walked down the hallways of a towers. Her mind occupied with work, it soon was forced to drift away as soon as she heard Elise's voice.

It took just one look at the cookies to see her life flash right in front of her eyes. Was this was people called of death knocking on one's door? She was pretty sure that, once she'd just take a bite of those, she'd not see tomorrow anymore. Who let the little girl close to an oven anyway, so she could bake those sweets?! It didn't take long for a name to pop up in the head of the mafia executive - their boss of course.

"Did somebody help you with baking them?", she asked with a frown. Trying to think of how to get out of such situation, which was truly laughable to her in this moment. She was able to get out victorious from every battle, no matter how strong the enemies were. But when it came to this little girl's antics she was pretty much stuck, "Have you already offered them to the boss? I'm sure he'd be delighted over those cookies.".

Just don't give them to her, she couldn't stay at home because of food poisoning.

so i don't really talk about what i dub as Da Babby Ships(tm) in this fandom because 1)the older i get the less i focus on romantic ships between teens and 2) frankly all of yall(on both sides) scare me

but i wanna talk abt this constant belief that Kairi never wants Sora to change or is clinging to a past Sora. and i can see why ppl believe that when there's lines like this

she's also said her famous/infamous "never change" thing. but hold on! let's look at the context for this line.

in this scene she is not talking to Sora like the aforementioned famous line. she's using letters to Sora as a journal of sorts.

now it'd be great if we could have a conversation that this kid finds it easier to sort out her feelings on paper to a friend she won't send the letter to. (like it's a normal thing to do. i mean it is, a lot of people find it easier to journal this way, but it also isn't lol even Lea was like 'uh, ok kid') but Kairi literally has said this kinda thing to Sora's face. if this is something she truly believes she'd just say so. however the next time she sees the guy she says

that's...not the lines i'd expect from a character that doesn't want the other to change at all from the trials they are about to face. it sounds like to me that even if he does change, she still wants to be there for him. she doesn't say she wants to marry him, have kids with a white picket fence. she doesn't say 'stay babby Sora forever'. she just wants to keep him literally (not just figuratively) safe in battle. (and she technically does the second time around anyways)

there are many ways to interpret these scenes, but what frustrates me is that very few wanna focus more on the individual characters and instead use them as talking points against ~certain~ ships/shippers. let's go old school reading comp here: why is she using letters to sort out her feelings to an imaginary Sora? what does she expect from their relationship/friendship? what could have happened to make her want to write this stuff down in the first place? *coughit was COMcough* why didn't she just tell him not to change again when she had the chance?

sometimes these made-up people have a better grasp of what is fiction vs what is reality than us fans do because ofc she wouldn't say that 'never change' stuff to Sora again. she's matured! she went to school for an entire year without her closest buds :( so she had the chance to learn history!! ofc battle changes people especially when you're up against one of the most manipulative assholes ever!!!

but she still wants to be there for him. the real him, not some letter-version or past version. no matter what. i think that matters more than her supposed clinging to nostalgia
