988 968 words! My goal this year is to crack the million xD

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Fun fact, this top has not changed in years and my more recent writing habits mean it's unlikely to ever change at this point xD

S.O.S. Ecrits Avec De L’Air (aka SEADLA) an unfinished Tony Stark/Loki fic in which everything starts because Loki stops Tony from commiting suicide.

 We Shall Have Peace, a fic in which Steve Rogers comes out of an 80+ years long captivity to discover Loki turned the earth into a utopia.

Dots: 2-4, 1-2-3, 1-3-6. A fic in which Tony Stark is a university student, and Loki is his blind teacher, and they fall in love.

Wooer Wooed. A fic in which Tony Stark tries to teach Loki how to woo someone and ends up surprised by the results.

Corny Lines For Thanksgiving A fic in which Tony Stark sees Loki iand Thor interact from his office window and mistakes them for a couple.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes! I like showing my appreciation and it feels more polite :D

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Say it three times and it will be done, in which Loki sends Tony Stark a very sad letter to tell him he's giving up on him and their not-relationship.

What the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

Oh shit, I've written so many of these xD But I guess I'll go with a top 3:

Clark Kent, of Krypton because it's one of the ones where the protagonist's situation changes the most drastically.

Once more, with kissing because the protag ends in what would probably be my dream configuration for any kind of romantic relationship.

All on my own because it's probably one of the more hopeful endings I have.

Honorable mention to A summer evening in Philly. for being the most recent :P

Do you write crossovers?

Rarely. I did write a Battlestar Galactica x The Walking Dead crossover once for a friend, but that's about it. When I mix fandom, I gravitate more towards fusions :P

The fic is called Killing zombies (and other fun activities), if you're curious.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I think I got maybe...three angry comments on AO3 so far? One was pissed because the protag hated his stepmother, another was angry that I'd posted negative meta on a ship, and iirc the last one accused me of making a character stupid because they didn't understand a word as a little kid who was communicating in a language that wasn't his first language.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I try my hand at it on occasion x) It's probably not the greatest but so far no one told me it sucked so we'll see how it goes in the future xD

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

If I rememeber correctly there were projects of translation into Chinese and Russian for some of my fics, but I can't recall if they were completed or not xD

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No. I toyed at the idea but it fizzled out, mostly because of me.

What's your all-time favorite ship?

I honestly have never thought of it that way tbh xD

But my two oldest ships are Taichi/Yamato from Digimon Adventure and Hyoga/Shun from Saint Seiya. I've liked those since I was a kid. As in, I first discovered Hyoga/Shun when I was under 10 so.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

I'm not going to answer that one, I don't want to jinx it xD

What are your writing strengths?

I think I'm good at dialogue and worldbuilding.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I struggle a little more with description, and also The Doing Of The Sex. Also I sometimes worry that I do the writing equivalent of same-facing my characters, but I guess it might also be because I have A Type.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

More often than not, saying "[x] said in German" or "[x] switched to Italian" is more than enough. It's clear, concise and avoids the two main risks of foreign dialogues: losing the readers who don't understand the target language and (if you're not fluent yourself) making a grammar mistake that takes readers who are more fluent than you out of the story. (Example: I've recently stumbled across a Band of Brothers fic where Liebgott used Sie to address Webster. Sie is a formal form of address, which I guarantee Lieb wouldn't use for his fellow soldiers, especially not Web, and so seeing it made be tick hard even if I didn't spontaneously understand the rest of the sentence.)

That being said! All rules are made to be broken, and I've written a fic that was intentionally in 3 different languages and another where a significant chunk of the dialogue is just em dashes with footnotes. In the first case, I used the script format and the language juxtaposition to mimick the sort of humor you'd get from a more fast-pace, visual medium like a movie or show (and also because I enjoyed the idea of a fic that was a bit of an in-joke with readers who mostly understood all three languages).

In the second case, I used the em-dashes (intersped with the few words the POV character understands) to force the reader into the protagonist' shoes, because the whole plot revolves around her distress and frustration about being unable to understand the language her family speak.

So, you know. Do what you want x)

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

It was a very, very intense plagiaristic fic for Lord of the Rings but with Harry Potter style wizards. I don't think it was very good, but I rememeber having fun with it.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

For a long time, that fandom was Digimon Adventure but I've done it now so... non, for now, I think x)

I know i've said this on countless accounts but, I have little to zero knowledge of the American dub, so my portrayal/answers/headcanons/etc are all based on the original Japanese version and sometimes stuff borrowed from the BRPT dub (which is mostly the same as the original JP for most of the series -- except Fusion). So please, don't assume that I had watched the US dub or that I am American.

My stance on the digimon (monsters) are that there's more than one of each species within the multiverse. So, Daisuke's V-mon/Magnamon, OG & Reboot Taichis' Agumon/Omegamon and Takato's Guilmon/Dukemon are not related to the Royal Knights.

I will follow all canon material if possible when working with canon versions of the characters, BUT only what i can work with. If something gets in conflict with the main TV series (Adv99-02-Tamers-Frontier-Savers-XW-Appmon-Adv2020-GG) i will reject the contradictions and use only the stuff not affected or influenced by it. Basically playing with the idea the events we know in certain media are played differently in-universe, adopted from Pixiv Dictionary. Explained better by Shiha in this post here.

Moving is scary. It always has been for Makoto. He was afraid when he moved to the city for university, afraid when he moved again for work… and now that he’s moving to the middle of nowhere, to the quaint little town he’s only visited a few times in his life, he’s not just afraid, in fact, he’s terrified.

He and Komaru’s grandparents owned a farm out on the southern coast before they passed on. First, it was their grandmother a few years ago, and now their grandfather just last month… there was nobody left to take care of the place. So the Naegi siblings stepped up.

And they’re on their way there now.

The purr of the engine is the only thing louder than Makoto’s own heartbeat in his ears. Komaru is driving the car, and since they got back on the road this morning, neither of them have said a word to each other. (It was a long trip; they were coming from the midwest, after all. They were bound to make a few pit stops, and neither one of them were particularly keen on driving all night.)

But they’d be arriving today, in less than 30 minutes, somewhere they hadn’t been since they were kids: Stardew Valley.

quick info about the muse (tw for mentions of familial/child abuse + child injury):

this is a blog for the original greymon that taichi and hikari raised as children in the original adventure series + the digimon movie. her name is officially "koromon," koro for short.

in the events of the original encounter, koro had lost her memories of her original tamer until she was a greymon.

koro's original tamer was a young girl named lily, who was raised in an abusive household. the reason why koro grew so big as an agumon and greymon as opposed to taichi's greymon, was purely due to holding an inherent need to protect her tamer.

when living with lily, koro was kept secret and lived in an apartment with her as a koromon. she was to be seen as a stuffed animal.

however, as abuse grew worse, this triggered digivolution in koro, who eventually became greymon. however, due to living in an apartment, this caused the apartment building to collapse on itself due to being unable to support koro's weight. this resulted in her tamer and koro becoming severely injured, and thus, koro returned to the digital world as a digiegg (to be discovered by hikari and taichi later, with no memory of the incident until she once again became a greymon).

koro behaves much differently to taichi's agumon. she is territorial and aggressive, and viciously protective of those she loves. she is hardly upbeat, often succumbing to episodes of deep depression, grieving, and anger.

she also does not naturally digivolve into metalgreymon or wargreymon, due to the state of her tamer being unable to support digivolution. if she's able to digivolve at all (which is very rare) she becomes skulgreymon.

Sequel to that one smut fic I wrote that I'm ashamed that I posted. But here we are. Anyways–

This is just mainly angsty fluff. Takaaki is trans btw and Taichi's pull out game is weak :p it was originally supposed to be a crack fic, but I accidentally made it angsty. Yeah–

Feeling sick when waking up wasn't so bad. Takaaki usually got nauseous when he woke up, whether it be from not having eaten at all due to his parents not feeding him much. Or it would be from his period. But it wasn't supposed to happen until a few weeks. It had just finished the week before.

Could it have been…?

No.

Takaaki was so nauseous he couldn't stand it. He quickly got up and grabbed the small garbage bin he had in his room. He threw up in it. He hated the feeling of being sick, he couldn't even throw up anything but his stomach acids. He felt so terrible.

It'd been like that for a week. Ever since his…little moment of passion with Taichi, he'd been so sick. And not that either, he'd been having some moments of fatigue and cramping. Which made him believe for a second his menstrual cycle started. But it hadn't been that. It was impossible, anyways.

His breasts felt a little tender. His mood swings were terrible. It was awful. It got in the way of his duties. He couldn't even show up to kendo practices or student council meetings. All of his other activities couldn't be done because of all these feelings.

He saw himself lashing out at people and yelling at them angrily. And needing to pee frequently made him even more upset. And he felt emotional as well.

Another week went by and everything got worse. He felt like his whole body was aching. His breasts were sore and swollen. He hated it.

He's heard of these symptoms. But…he didn't believe it. It couldn't be. He was just a bit tired and he was a little sick. And all the aches and pains were probably due to stress or something. But it irritated him. He checked some books and it was the same things for him. But he couldn't believe it.

It couldn't be.

'Aki, it's okay. It's not this. It can't be…what would your parents think?' Takaaki breathed in and decided to purchase a pregnancy test with Mariana. His best friend held his hand throughout the entire thing. Walking to the aisle with the tests, taking two boxes in case one didn't work, buying the tests and heading home. He gave her hand a light squeeze, he was scared. Mariana just smiled at him, it was soft and warm. Comforting.

"It's okay, Aki. You'll be fine. If anything, I can help you take care of that little bundle of joy! That's what friends are for!" Mariana said happily, hugging him. She'd always been supportive and caring of him. They'd been friends since they were small, he was so glad she stuck around.

"Okay…" Takaaki nodded.

Takaaki looked at her, face soaked in tears. He handed her the test and she saw the two lines, symbolizing that he was in fact, pregnant. "I-I wa–as careful. S-So careful…I ca–an't even…h-how?!" Takaaki choked out between his sobs. He was so scared of what his parents would think. How was he going to prove himself now? To show his father how wrong he always was…

But now…now he couldn't. He was going to be thrown out from his home or maybe beat again for the day. He'd rather be beat than thrown out.

Mariana hugged him and he hugged her back, holding her so tightly. "I'll always be here, Aki." Mariana said softly. Takaaki nodded as he continued to cry.

Taichi sat on his bed, nervously watching Takaaki pace around the room. Takaaki called him frantically, asking if he could come over. It sounded urgent. "Aki, you alright? You're just pacing around." Taichi pointed out. Takaaki looked at him, large eyebrows furrowed. "I'm not okay, Taichi. There's…it's just– there's just something that has been really eating away at me." Takaaki answered and continued to pace.

Taichi sat up and stopped his friend by grabbing his arms. "Takaaki, please. Just tell me what's happening." Taichi said in concern. Takaaki just looked at him, tears pricking the corners of his eyes. Takaaki crashed his lips onto Taichi's, cupping his cheek. "Would you leave me if I told you?" He murmured.

"Of course not." Taichi murmured back, wrapping his arms around Takaaki's neck and kissed him again. "I'm pregnant." Takaaki murmured before kissing Taichi. Taichi broke the kiss, their lips lingering near each other, his eyes were wide. "Y-You're what?" He stammered.

Takaaki breathed in. "Can we…sit down?" Takaaki requested. Taichi nodded and they both sat down on his bed. "…It's been going on for almost 3 weeks, I've been feeling odd. And I wasn't sure what it was. But it had symptoms of…pregnancy. But I wasn't sure. I knew we were careful and everything when we had sex. And so were all the other people I've slept with. But you were the recent one and…" Takaaki sighed, putting his head in his hands.

Taichi hugged him. Takaaki started to cry softly, "It's hopeless. I'm pregnant, my parents are going to kick me out sooner than they planned, I'm not sure how I'm going to even provide for this little baby…I…there's so much I'm so scared of." Takaaki sobbed. "Takaaki, look at me." Taichi requested of him.

Takaaki looked up from his hands, still crying. Taichi cupped his face and kissed him. They broke the kiss and Taichi grinned. "Even if something happens, I'll help you. I'll-I'll take care of you! You and the baby. I'll…I'll quit school and get a job!" Taichi said happily. "Don't. You don't have to…your studies are important. For your career. You want to get into programming right? So continue going to school." Takaaki said, grinning sadly.

"No! It's okay, I want to. For you. Because I love you, Aki." Taichi told him, a determined look in his eyes. "Oh, Taichi.." Takaaki's expression softened, tears still falling. "I love you, too…" Takaaki said, holding Taichi's hands in his. His grip was sort of feeling like he was terrified. Terrified Taichi will leave him if they let go.

Taichi sighed, climbed onto Takaaki's lap, cupping Takaaki's face again. He kissed him tenderly. "I love you. Don't you worry, I'll take good care of you and our child." Taichi said between kisses. Takaaki sighed as well, closing his eyes and letting Taichi kiss him. They broke apart, staring into each other's eyes.

Takaaki's were still filled with tears, but he seemed to have calmed down a bit. Taichi wrapped his arms around Takaaki and they laid down. Just holding each other. Takaaki placed his hand on his stomach, breathing in deeply. The programmer placed his own hand on his beloved's hand. "What are you hoping for?"

"Not sure. I don't care…just as long as they're healthy and alive. For as long as they can. For…for so many years. And I want them to make better decisions than me, to be smarter. So bright they wow me everyday!" Takaaki said with a fondness on his face. Taichi brushed some of Takaaki's raven black hair away from his face. "That sounds nice…" Taichi leaned his forehead on Takaaki's and closed his eyes. "We should sleep a bit, it'll calm you down more." Said Taichi with a small smile.

"Yes, you're right…" Takaaki agreed.

It depends, some of them take only a couple days, some of them take several months. For chapters, it usually takes 1-2 weeks if I'm consistent (I am not)

Romance is a struggle, but it can also be fun to experiment with. I guess smut if that counts? I'm not doing that.

Like I said in Koushirou's fashion analysis post, some characters really have such interesting developments regarding fashion and Taichi was a reeeeally neat subject to analyze here as well! It's also mostly consistent for him, including the 02 casual outfits - they're basically a natural evolution of his Adventure fit!

I still can't believe the stunt they did with Kizuna's asymmetrical shirt, this is such a sneaky detail, no matter if I overanalyzed it or not. As for the porn thing, me and my friends like to joke about him trying to suppress his redhead kink this way and while I do not doubt that he has natural urges, it STILL felt like the porn itself (just like the beer) was meant to hit you over the head with the idea that he HAD to be an adult that does "adult things". Maybe it's a bit exaggerated on my part, but it was so palpable that he wasn't "happy" at this point in life that I wanted to include it.

@firedragon1321 I didn't plan to write as much a of a meta post for Taichi's fashion evolution through the years, since I don't have the time to collect all the evidence like I did with Koushirou - but I still believe that there is an underlying theme for him too, so I want to briefly summarize it.

Notable themes and reoccurring elements:

Comfort AND function - layered and sporty: There is no exaggeration when I say that Taichi Yagami is a sports nut/nerd. While it was never outright confirmed, I am pretty sure that OG!Taichi is wearing a football jersey, since it HEAVILY reminds me of an Arsenal FC jersey that I used to wear myself. Of course, there are also the headband and the wrist band, which are usually associated with sporty activities. And it makes sense, because he loves football, right? Overall, his style throughout Adventure and 02 in particular can be summarized as depicted above; similarly to Koushirou, he wears wide, comfy clothes that provide him with a lot of space for (adventurous) movement. Our boy also likes to wear layers (two shirts, a shirt and a button-down, a tracksuit and a coat, you name it), which is rather practical when you ARE physically active and have to get rid of a layer. And again, his need for maximum comfort is also displayed in the way he wears his 02 school uniform in a very loose way - shirt tugged out, no tie, blazer open. Then of course there is the fact that he NEVER wears anything other than sneakers through the course of the entire series.

The colour "dark blue": I still believe that Tri is the only part of the entire series that broke the pattern, but seriously - can you imagine Taichi Yagami NOT wearing the colour dark blue? Because I can't. There is no doubt that blue is - in complementing contrast to his signature colour orange - his favourite colour and it reflects in +90% of his outfits in Adventure, 02 and Kizuna.

Goggles & stars: The goggles are a given at this point and, unfortunately, Tri onwards didn't really put that much emphasis on it, but from age 7 to 15, you would NOT see the boy wear anything that doesn't include at least ONE star in his ensemble. (Fun fact: Mimi picked that habit up in 02 and Tri too.) He likes arrows too, but those are not as common.

Interesting changes/things to point out:

I don't think anybody would dare calling Taichi fashion-savvy in the usual sense and, honestly speaking, I found the paw/claw print on his 02 coat rather silly when I was a kid... But speaking as an adult from the year 2024, I can now confidently say that this coat was one of the most amazing pieces he has ever worn and I actually miss that kind of extravagant attitude in him in Tri onwards. (Plus, it implies that, just like Hikari, Taichi is a cat enthusiast and I will always support that.)

Speaking of Tri; his general style has not changed, he still likes to wear his layers (which can be seen in his winter uniform in particular, because he is the only male character who wears the blazer AND the vest), but he has at least added a (loosely worn) tie for a glimpse of seriousness. He has added a few more colours to his ensemble (which can be witnessed more in his concept and promotional art, but EVERYBODY is more experimental AND more interesting in promo art!!!). Some notable outfits in Tri include yellow and actual orange, but again, I highly recommend checking out all the promo art, because it's really great.

Then we get to Kizuna - and while I would say that the majority of character designs for Kizuna were rather safe, Taichi is probably one of the biggest offenders there, because - all the sporty swag that was mentioned above has somehow blended into very... Ordinary clothes. And I feel like this was an intentional choice: Yes, I am glad our boy is still wearing layers and that blue is still his favourite colour - and I am pretty sure the blandness of his everyday outfits is meant to reflect his inner turmoil of feeling like he HAS to play a role as a "performative adult" who struggles with uni, hates his part time job (where he also has to wear something that isn't REALLY him), has a tiny flat with only beer in the fridge and bland heteronormative p*rn hidden underneath his bed. I must also say that the short-sleeved hoodie in the final part of the hoodie made him look much younger than he is - which may actually also be a nod to him having to juggle his adult self with his younger self and find an appropriate balance (and if you want to go all out on pretentious symbolism, you'll say that the blue-white-black striped shirt he wore was a metaphor of him trying not to turn to the dark side aka, succumbing to Neverland. I mean, the left side is black, thus basically symbolizing his heart being covered by darkness; while the right side is blue - his favourite colour - and white, the light side so to speak...). So by the end, when he seems to be getting more into politics, I feel like he is already getting back on track (and I only cling to that idea because he is seen wearing his shirt rather casually without a tie - but hey, baby steps are small steps too!)

Last but not least, there is The Beginning: And one thing I immediately want to point out is that I LOVE the colours he chose - because that gives you a hint of him getting back on track. That blue suit is a STRIKING contrast to Koushirou's rather modest grey suit - and I still maintain that the yellow tie was a nod to Agumon as well. @firedragon1321 I also read one of your rambles the other day and part of me really hopes that he actually wore some sneakers there as well - because that would have been very much on brand for (the old) him. So we can only hope that, the next time we see him, he will have found his personal balance some more, merging his own style with a profession style. And I know you don't like the fact that he shortens his hair, but I still feel like he maintains the general spirit even as an adult; it may be more neatly trimmed, but I still see HIM in there - and I am almost sure we will see a more modern version of that in the PV next year.
