The Young Lord's Bride (Part 2)
Part 1
Tahomaru brought you, Sesshomaru, and Jaken up a small hill and across some paths running parallel to a river.
"Some people say this river is haunted, but I don't believe them," Tahomaru said.
You looked to the river. You couldn't sense any demonic presence around it, and as you glanced to your older brother, you could tell that he also sensed nothing.
"All that child does is babble, babble babble," Jaken complained as he rode attached to Sesshomaru's fluff.
"If you continue to babble yourself, I will slay you," Sesshomaru said flatly and moved in such a way to shake his fluff.
Jaken screamed. "I'm sorry, Sesshomaru-sama! Please don't throw me offf and leave me behind!"
You were glad that you were riding on the horse with Tahomaru, as it gave you some distance from the circus of your brother and Jaken that you had to put up with all the time. It made you smirk a little too how Sesshomaru's eyes constantly glared disapprovingly at you for sharing a horse ride with an unfamiliar human boy.
Tahomaru led you to the gates of a large fortress. The guards, recognising him, allowed him entry. Upon hearing that you, Sesshomaru, and Jaken were his guests, the guards did not protest for all of you to pass through the gates, though they did look at you with suspicious eyes. It was no surprise and you were not offended. It wasn't every day that the human guards would see a pair of silver haired demons dressed in elaborate armour and fur. And then there was Jaken ...
"Don't mind them," Tahomaru said as you passed by the guards. He then rode over to the stables to return the horse you two were riding. The stableman also gave an odd look to you, to which Tahomaru raised an eyebrow, as if to say that he had no right to comment on who his guests were.
As Tahomaru handed over the reigns to his horse, Sesshomaru silently came behind you and grabbed your arm.
"We are not here to have fun, y/n," he said in a low voice.
"I know, Aniue. Calm down."
Sesshomaru stared at you, about to say something more, before Tahomaru's perky voice broke the silence.
"Follow me, and we'll have ourselves something good to eat!" He smiled and proudly led you inside.
Tahomaru brought the three of you to large dining area. "Make yourselves comfortable. The staff has already told my father that we have some unexpected guests." He turned around to glance back at Jaken. Not wanting to see the unfamiliar creature in his eyesight for too long, he rose his gaze to you. "Does that little demon normally dine with you and your brother?"
"No," Sesshomaru gave his unsolicited answer on your behalf
Jaken squawked and dropped his jaw.
Tahomaru raised an eyebrow. "I was asking y/n, but thanks."
Sesshomaru glared at him.
Tahomaru turned back to you. "Well, I guess it can't be helped. We'll have to dine with your little companion. I don't really want to ask any of the guards to babysit it, so it's probably best to keep it around and let your brother tend to it."
You smiled a little. "That sounds good."
Sesshomaru hummed disapprovingly under his breath. It was getting more and more difficult for him to keep his tongue at bay. However, at least Jaken was remaining silent, which was a miraculous feat onto itself.
All of you sat down at the table, Tahomaru assigning the seating positions. He wanted you beside him and Sesshomaru by the edge of the table next to a corner, so that the Demon Lord could keep an eye on Jaken, who was to remain more or less unseen and unheard at the corner. Sesshomaru was obviously very displeased with the placement and kept a sharp stare towards you that was basically saying "you will pay for this" in the gleam of his eyes.
Before you knew it, various servants came in to fill the table with food. Per your request, there was plenty of raw meat, as well as other cooked options and vegetable-based options that Tahomaru reminded you that you could try if you wanted to. He added with a laugh that he really liked food and could give some recommendations, and proceeded to talk about the farms that the stir-fried vegetables came from.
"You wouldn't believe it, y/n, but before I was born, we never had the vegetable harvests that we do today," Tahomaru ranted on. "Our land used to flood all the time and we suffered from major crop deaths --"
The door to the dining room slid open. Sesshomaru's gaze shot out of the corners of his eyes in the direction of the entrance.
"But my father, Daigo Kagemitsu, changed everything and saved the land --" Tahomaru continued proudly.
"Tahomaru, are you already bragging about that story?" the voice of Tahomaru's father asked from the door. He smirked a little, obviously enjoying the praise he was getting even though he socially had to pretend that it was unnecessary.
Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed very slightly at the sight of the middle-aged man. There was something not right about his aura. It wasn't demonic, but it also wasn't that of a typical human. Sesshomaru didn't know "what" he could call him, and that made him frustrated.
Tahomaru snickered a little. "I'm not really bragging, Chichiue. I'm just trying to tell our guests the truth." He proceeded to introduce you and Sesshomaru to his father.
Daigo Kagemitsu seemed to catch on to Sesshomaru's suspicious eye towards him. His face hardened very slightly before he sat down. "I must say, I've never found myself dining with demons before."
"They're not like those demons that cause trouble," Tahomaru said. "They're different, more elegant kinds of demons --"
"Don't rant so much, Tahomaru," Daigo said. His sharp, dark eyes looked towards you and then to Sesshomaru. "There's no need to be wearing armour. No battles are about to happen here."
"It's what I always wear," Sesshomaru said cooly.
Daigo straightened his shoulders some. "Very well. It's your decision," he said, taking one last look at you before he began to eat.

Humanity (Hyakkimaru x Reader) [Soulmate AU]
Friendly reminder that English is not my first language. You can check my Masterlists both in English and Polish here. Consider supporting me on Ko-fi. You can also check out my commissions if you’re interested.
Other oneshots can be found here.
ᴀᴅᴅɪᴛɪᴏɴᴀʟ ɪɴꜰᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ: 1. ᴛʜᴇ ꜱʜᴏᴛ ɪꜱ ʙᴀꜱᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴇᴘɪꜱᴏᴅᴇ 23 ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀɴɪᴍᴇ, ꜱᴏ ꜱᴘᴏɪʟᴇʀꜱ ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴏꜱꜱɪʙʟᴇ. 2. ɪᴛ'ꜱ ᴀ ꜱᴏᴜʟᴍᴀᴛᴇ ᴀᴜ ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ꜰᴇᴇʟ ꜱᴏᴍᴇ ᴏꜰ ʏᴏᴜʀ ꜱᴏᴜʟᴍᴀᴛᴇ'ꜱ ᴘʜʏꜱɪᴄᴀʟ ᴘᴀɪɴ.
The villagers were preparing to face Daigo's army. The women hugged their children while the men tried to figure out where to go. Everyone was feeling nervous. They turned their heads every now and then, as if listening for the sound of hooves announcing the arrival of the samurai.
[Reader] promised to stay with the people, meanwhile Dororo will try to help Hyakkimaru. However, the plans quickly changed.
— On the left! — the girl screamed when she saw the rearing horse.
The boy failed to hold the rope. The horse raised his front hooves up. Before it could escape, the girl grabbed it tightly by the mane and jumped on its back. It kicked and then ran in a direction known only to it.
The girl felt pain. The branches lashed her face and she clung to the animal's neck. She drove half-blindly through the forest, hoping to find the source of the commotion.
It only took her a few minutes.
In the middle of the clearing she saw a huge mare. Her mane and tail seemed to be like fire and emitted a strange light. She looked like the embodiment of fury. She must have been the demon that people in the village were talking about.
[Reader] jumped off the ridge and into the tall grass. She failed to completely cushion her fall, which resulted in pain in her left arm. As soon as she stood up, she saw Tahomaru's bodyguards stabbing the huge horse with their blades. The gore-dripping animal did not remain obedient and, in a final act of despair, bit off Hyogo's head and attacked Mutsu. Within a few seconds, all three of them were lying motionless in a large pool of blood, to which the grey-haired boy quickly ran, followed by Dororo.
The girl felt terrible pain in her hands. She guessed that Hyakkimaru had regained new body parts. As soulmates, they shared suffering. She knew he must have been close. So she looked up and saw him nearby, kneeling in a strange position. She managed to get up and walked towards him on wobbly legs.
— Hyakkimaru!
He didn't turn around.
He didn't react to seeing her.
He ran away, with Tahomaru following him.
She knew her soulmate wasn't quite himself but it still hurt her. She didn't know for sure if he cared. Their relationship seemed to be pure chance and not the will of the gods, as the monk had sometimes presented to her. It was difficult to read the boy's signs and intentions. This caused her particular problems at the beginning, when he couldn't even hear her. Over time, however, she learned to see the care and straightforwardness in his actions. She just wasn't sure if it was enough for her.
— How can we stop them? — Dororo asked.
— Perhaps one of them will simply have to die — said the monk standing nearby.
— Listen, it's either your brother or us — interjected a man who had come from the village to check the situation.
— Say it again...
— It wasn't supposed to last forever. Peace built on the sacrifice of one person... We cannot defend what we have not earned with our own hands — said Lady Nui. — I don't have the strength to stop my own children.
— We spent our whole lives complaining about samurai, hoping that they would do something for us. You have to act like Hyakkimaru and snatch happiness from the gods with your own hands. — [Reader] clenched her fists.
— Then we have to be stronger — the girl said.
— But also careful. You saw how they fought. Too much force can make you lose your humanity — the monk added.
— Strength alone is no threat if you have a heart. And my brother has it! We have to start taking action.
The girl recalled the image of the carnage he had caused a few months earlier and wasn't sure if she should nod.
— I think we all agree.
— The hill is on fire! — Someone shouted from the small crowd.
Everyone turned their heads as if on cue. Flames consuming the palace could be seen nearby. Clouds of smoke rose up and from behind them, silhouettes of people running away in panic could be seen.
— Let's go!
— Don't lose your humanity. Let them take away your eyes, ears and hands. You don't need them. We will be your eyes, ears and hands if necessary. Don't become a demon, Hyakkimaru — [Reader] prayed.
— Who do I look like, Hyakkimaru? — [Reader] asked jokingly, trying on a kimono at one of the stalls.
— Mom — he replied, pointing at her.
— Mother? — she sighed indignantly. — I'm not old! How dare you...
— Dororo. Told. Mom. Cooking. Washing. Hugging. Warmth. Love.
— After all, I'm not yours... Anyway, it doesn't matter. — She waved her hand.
However, a gentle smile appeared on her face.

Tahomaru x Sibiling Reader (Platonic)
Warnings: mentions of depression (Nui), Daigo and Nui being neglectful parents, Fluff and Angst, Sick Reader, Tahomaru being the Best older brother, slight changes to the main story (for my heart's sake).
Fem and male Reader
It's My firts publication, so, sorry if it's a bit ooc.
____
+ Tahomaru didn't expect his father to want another child, as much as it wasn't necessary and because of his mother's already distant behavior, so when you were born it was a surprise, but a welcome surprise.
+or so he wanted to believe, the birth was very complicated, his mother was giving birth for more than a day and a half, but when they finally announced that you were born, he felt as if a burden that he didn't know he had had been lifted, he was relieved.
+ but his father rather seemed disappointed in more ways than one, not only had you had a difficult delivery, but you were an extremely weak baby, if you are a girl, it is even worse, it is the Sengoku era, no matter how powerful Daigo had, It wasn't in his plans to keep a daughter, if you're a boy, it's the same, he didn't need a weak boy when he already had Tahomaru, a healthy and strong boy.
+now...his rejection also has to do with the fact that you remind him of Hyakkymaru...but that's another topic
+ Anyway, despite being weak, Daigo decides that you will stay in the "family", both for Tahomaru and because he doesn't know what to do with you and he can't give you to the demons because you have nothing to offer, according to him.
+during your first days of life you are visited by doctors and maids every day in your room next to your mother's to be able to feed you, but they do not let him in immediately to ensure that you do not die upon contact with him, since he is a child at that time he does not understand it, but he really wants to meet you, you are his little sibiling, after all.
+ he is very anxious and happy when they finally tell him that they will let him see you, he practically jumps to your room and when he enters there you are, half sitting on a large futon in the middle of the floor, you look a lot like his mother, dark hair and eyes, you are super small, even as a baby, you would already be completing the first weeks of life and you still look pale and skinny. Being the first baby he sees, you are too adorable for him.
+I have a feeling that your name as well as that of your brothers would end with Maru, maybe Sakimaru being a girl and Tomaru being a boy, but it's just something self-indulgent.
+ your intentions with Tahomaru as children are quite limited by your fragile state, they don't take many years, maybe 4 or 3 years maximum. But that doesn't stop Tahomaru from wanting to spend his rare free-for-alls with you, be it playing games, drawing, or just trying to get you to say your first words.
"Come on! Ta-Ho-Maru! Try it!" -
"Ba-Bho"-.
"Close enough! Well done!"-
-Tahomaru ends up being your main source of inspiration and compliments, especially when you grow up and your limitations due to illness become more complicated, Daigo hardly speaks to you and Nui seems even distant with you than with Tahomaru, at least she recognized from time to time its existence, but you....it's like seeing a ghost.
- and it's heartbreaking for Tahomaru as you get older to see how you try to have even a minimum of attention from her, he had given up a long time ago, and it hurts him a lot to see when you finally decide to do the same, you don't even want to look at her anymore , at least he had a modicum of attention from his father, but you...were completely ignored by both of them.
+now, going to the most recurring things, Tahomaru continues to spend much of his free time with you, if he can't be in town for some reason, he will ask Mustu and Hyogo to keep you company, you get along with them By the way , just as they took on the task of protecting Tahomaru, they implicitly agreed to protect you as well.
- if you're a girl, maybe Tahomaru buys you from time to time hairpins or kimonos of the time, he thought for a while about giving you his mother's, but even those were too big for you, so all your kimonos are bought and / or are loaned by Mustu (I think she might have a very nice kimono or two that she would lend you from time to time).
+also makes sure that Daigo doesn't even think about putting you in an arranged marriage under any circumstances, not only because the vast majority of "suitors" would be much older than you, but because even if they were your age he wouldn't want to use you as "medium" for alliances, you are your own person and deserve to be treated as such, not as an object.
+ On the other hand, if you're a boy, he'd tell you a lot about the fights he has or his training, if you're good of healt enough, he'd teach you how to hold the sword! A wooden one, sure, your arms are too skinny to hold a real sword, but I'd be happy to teach you without Daigo knowing.
+ he would still be very careful with the girls who approach you, he wouldn't be rude but he would definitely be skeptical about it, although if you introduce him to some candidate that you especially like, he would try to make a good impression and see if she is sincere or not.
+if you have any ESPECIALLY bad disease outbreaks he would want to be constantly updated and would look for ways to spend more time with you, that and pamper you once you recover.
+ although it sounds strange, he admires you for how much you resist despite your constant sick state, you go through horrible outbreaks and still remain a ray of sunshine, you have a lot of internal strength that compensates for the little external strength.
+so he decided that YOU would be his inner strength and HE would be your outer strength, he would keep you safe and happy, you would not have to feel rejected and alone, not while he had something to say about it.
+ is your BIG BROTHER after all.

I really write a Lot jajaja

Hyakkimaru x Female! Reader
Request: Hiya! Love your work! May I request a one-shot please? with Hyakkimaru finally getting his eyes back and seeing this really pretty girl and its not until she starts talking that he realize that its his S/o. just imagine Hyakkimaru being like " shitshitshit shes gorgeous" to "oh my god its my wife! she's BEAUTIFUL!" with Dororo all the while laughing his head off. Thanks!
---
A/n: Ah, this is really cute! I enjoyed writing this! Warning: Dororo 2019 spoilers!!
---
Genre: Humor, Romance, Hurt/Comfort Rated: Everyone Warning: Fluffy af, Blood Mention
---
Author: Dororo-Imagines
---
It was over. It was all finally over. Hyakkimaru had gotten all of his body parts back, and the painful journey that had been filled with spilled blood and tears was over. You were bloodied and battered from fighting, trying to get your way to the Castle of Daigo where Hyakkimaru and Dororo were at. When you had gotten there, you had been surprised to see the Empress of the Daigo homestead, Hyakkimaru’s mother, and Biwamaru.
When you got close to them, Nui hadn’t recognized you from the amount of blood covering you, but Biwamaru instantly knew you.
“(Y/n), Hyakkimaru is inside with Tahomaru.”
You immediately unsheathed your katana, but Nui exclaimed.
“No. You must let me handle this…they are my sons.”
You were quiet. You wanted to help Hyakkimaru, but a mother’s heart was much stronger than an ordinary woman’s. You relented, sheathing your sword, and Nui disappeared into the secret passage within the well just a ways out from the burning castle. Biwamaru mumbled.
“If he is not careful, Hyakkimaru risks becoming a demon himself.”
“Hyakkimaru wouldn’t do that. His heart is human, and his heart is strong. He’s going to be okay.”
You replied. Biwamaru smiled lightly.
“Yes, it is love that will truly save him. You should clean yourself off or the blood will become hard to wash off. You have earned your rest.”
You nodded and sat down, rubbing a cloth against your face to clear it of any blood. Once your face was cleaned, a small cut revealing itself on your cheek from all the blood, you stood up, tucking the bloodied rag into your obi. The sound of Dororo’s voice coming from the well made you perk up, and you helped Biwamaru pull the two up. When you got the two of them up, your breath was taken away from the sheer brightness of Hyakkimaru’s eyes.
His eyes were on you, taking in your face in, and his cheeks tainted pink slightly. Dororo panted and cried out, making Hyakkimaru tilt his head in confusion.
“(Y/n)!”
He ran to you, and you hugged Dororo tightly, sighing in relief.
“I was so scared you wouldn’t get here!”
You smiled at him, and you murmured.
“I told you that I was gonna be here, didn’t I?”
Hyakkimaru’s eyes widened and he asked.
“(Y/n)?”
You stood up and clenched your jaw lightly, almost nervous and feeling exposed now that Hyakkimaru could see.
“Hyakkimaru…you’re okay.”
Hykkarimu’s face broke out into a deep blush, and you were surprised. Dororo’s own eyes widened, and Hyakkimaru said shyly.
“You are very beautiful.”
Hyakkimaru turned to Dororo, asking.
“Are you sure that’s (Y/n)?”
Dororo began to laugh, and you covered your face, embarrassed. Biwamaru chuckled, and Dororo slapped his knee, saying.
“Hyakkimaru, you’re so funny! Of course, that’s (Y/n)! What, can’t believe someone as gorgeous as her is your girlfriend?”
Hyakkimaru shook his head and Dororo laughed harder, falling to the ground. You laughed lightly yourself, rubbing your bloody arm in embarrassment.
“Please, I’m covered in blood and guts, I cant possibly be so gorgeous right now.”
Hyakkimaru answered honestly, taking your hand within his own.
“I have never lied to you. You are very beautiful.”
You looked back into his eyes, taking in their beautiful chestnut color. You mumbled softly, placing a clean hand on his cheek, rubbing your thumb back and forth.
“You’ve always been beautiful to me…and your eyes are very pretty too. I hope you can see yourself soon.”
Hyakkimaru’s eyes softened lightly, and you smiled.
“Even when you couldn’t see, your eyes were always expressive in a way…but now they are incredibly intense. It makes me embarrassed to be within your gaze.”
You flushed, rubbing the back of your head, and Hyakkimaru smiled lightly at you. Dororo got up, asking.
“Does this mean that we can finally be a family?”
You asked, your free hand on your hip now, tightening your hold on Hyakkimaru’s warm hand.
“When haven’t we been a family, Dororo?”
Dororo smiled widely, and you chuckled when he ran into your legs, hugging you. You bent down, hugging Dororo back, and you mumbled into his ear.
“We’re going to be alright.”
Dororo nuzzled your chest, and you stood up, pushing him back a bit.
“But you really shouldn’t hug me, Dororo. I’m covered in blood.”
Hyakkimaru asked, his hands running over your shoulders and trying to inspect you for wounds.
“You’re not hurt, are you?”
You flushed and mumbled, taking his hands within your own.
“Shouldn’t it be me asking you that?”
Hyakkimaru sighed lightly, and you smiled lightly.
“I promise, I’m okay.”
Hyakkimaru nodded and you began to speak to Biwamaru. About what, Hyakkimaru didn’t know. All Hyakkimaru knew was that you were incredibly beautiful, and that he was truly lucky to have you in his life.
Yes, he was indeed lucky.
Hyakkimaru smiled when you ran your hand through his hair, flashed him a beautiful smile, and began to walk with Biwamaru and Dororo to the village below, beginning his new path to humanity.

Dororo is an amazing story! What a thought provoking and dark show, that asks the question: what would people sacrifice for their own survival? Sure, this theme plays out in zombie films, but the question posed is often answered in an individualistic manner (what will X do when X life is at stake, or their family's).
Dororo has such an interesting premise based on more collectivist views. Both the "good" and the "bad" characters are all trying to survive in some way. Is the sacrifice of one, no matter how immoral or horrible, justified to save the greater good? Or is it alright just to want to live, even if it may be seen as selfish?
The premise also reminds me a bit of Berserk, but Berserk shows alot more that the demons that the antagonist has bargained with have clearly dark intentions. Dororo's demons are more insidious - they demand sacrifice, but the audience sees them sometimes holding their end up of their bargain well enough to support "peace". We don't see as much repercussions of what the demons do (except what they've already done to Hyakkimaru), even though there are hints that they continue to terrorise the common folk (but not the majority).
Is it right to sacrifice the minority for the majority? I think this show presses hard enough to make one think if one is placed in this era of war and despair, can one still cling on to morals? Tahomaru shows that he could not. Even Hyakkimaru, our other protagonist, walks a thin line while focusing on his own survival and at times paying no heed to others' suffering.
It reminds me of Armin's quote in SNK:
“I don't like the terms "good person" or "bad person" because it is impossible to be entirely good to everyone. To some, you are a good person, while to others, you are a bad person.”

if you want: beautiful animation / historical japan / feels?
1969 (x)
Alright, first I’m going to taék about this adaptation of Dororo by itself, then compare it to the original 1969 version.
The story takes place during the Sengoku period which was a bloody and violent time in Japan’s history. With no main governing body, the Lords of each land waged constant battles and wars with each other for territory.
Daigo Kagemitsu, the Lord of Ishikawa, sought to save his land by making a pact with 12 demons. He told them to take whatever they want from him and so they stole various body parts of his first son. Daigo ordered a midwife to get rid of the body of the boy but instead she put him on a small boat and sent him away. This is how his was found by Jukai, a doctor, who created artificial limbs and body parts for the boy, whom he named Hyakkimaru.
When he grew older, Hyakkimaru set out on a journey to kill demons and get his body parts back from them. This is when he meets Dororo, an orphan. Dororo takes an interest in him and thus they journey together and grow closer throughout the show.
Exposition ends here as I don’t really wanna spoil. The episodes are a bit fast paced in the beginning but they quickly create a good balance between slaying demons and character development. The animation is gorgeous throughout the entire show and the music is as well. Simply, if anything mentioned interests you, I’d urge you to check this show out.
Now for the comparisons, which may contain spoilers.
First the good: cutting down the number of demons from 48 to 12 was a very good decision and allowed the showmakers to show us Hyakkimaru getting back each of his body parts piece by piece. It also helped them not fall into a “monster-of-the-week” format as the 1969 one did and let us have more time with the characters. Making Tahomaru a central character was also something I liked as in the original he gets killed by Hyakkimaru like 3 episodes after meeting him. The best change however was actually showing Hyakkimaru’s lack of senses and not just saying. It was quite comical when halfway through the 1969 season he “gets his voice back” and is ecstatic about it and when Dororo tells him “but you’ve been speaking to me this entire time” he says something like “I was projecting my thoughts into your brain”....what??? I mean, considering the lack of resources back then, making a silent protagonist probably would’ve been pretty difficult but Hyakkimaru not saying a single word for half the show was a real plus. Also that getting back his senses took him some time to get used to.
The neutral: Dororo and Hyakkimaru’s relationship was very different compared to the original one. Hyakkimaru was solely focused on his journey, sometimes even just walked off and left Dororo behind when he felt like it. He is much more attached to Dororo here.
The “bad”: First a short one: Dororo’s personality. He was a thief in the original but here he is much more mature which I didn’t like. Coming to like Dororo despite his childish and selfish antics was one of the charms of the original show. Anyway, onto my main problem...
I ended my review of the 1969 series with “I’m not looking forward to seeing some of these modernized cause they’ll break my heart”. Well, I shouldn’t have worried about that. This modern version is much more “cartoon-ish” and lacks the despair and hopelessness I got from the original. There are almost no “bad” characters, everyone seemingly has some redeeming qualities. Which wasn’t really my biggest gripe with the show but the portrayal of the era. There are a few shots that really show the atrocities of what happened but it’s not prevalent throughout the entire show like in the original. In the 1969 show, everywhere they went there were corpses, starving people and general unease. The best portrayal of what I mean is the episode(s) with the Banmon
The Banmon is the remains of a wall erected between Daigo’s and Asakura’s territory. In this version we don’t see this wall until the end of the first episode and we only find out that it’s haunted by demons. The 2 also randomly run into a kid who tells them that his family is on the other side of the Banmon but he can’t get over cause Asakura spies are watching the wall. Him and Dororo get over there but they both get captured. Sukeroku tells Dororo in tears that he couldn’t find his family and where they lived was all burnt down, assuming that they’re dead. Later on, the Asakura lead the prisoners to the Banmon to execute them when Hyakkimaru saves them. At the end, surprise, surprise, Sukeroku’s mom and other villagers come running out of the woods saying that they hid and he is happily reunited with his family.
In the 1969 version, we immediately begin with the complete opposite portrayal of the 2 sides. The 2 just found the Banmon and are wondering what it is when men approach. But not the Asakura. It’s Daigo. They tie the prisoners to the Banmon, one of whom isn’t even guilty, and kill them in cold blood. Dororo and Hyakkimaru reveal themselves and this is the first time Daigo sees his son, Hyakkimaru. The 2 get seperated, Hyakkimaru basically goes on a journey to find out about his past while Dororo is almost drowned but is saved by Sukeroku who lives under a bridge. He tells Dororo that he always came over here to fish and when he was doing that one day, they erected the Banmon. No matter how much he struggled, they wouldn’t let him back over and now he is stuck in this village by himself. Dororo convinces him to try to make a run for it anyway so Sukeroku can see his momma. They do so but they’re found. Dororo buys time for Sukeroku to run off and find his family. After a while we’re back at the Banmon, where Dororo is tied up. Daigo’s forces bring prisoners for execution from the Asakura territory...and Sukeroku is among them. Dororo asks him if he found his momma and after some silence Sukeroku cries that everything has been burnt down by Daigo’s army...everyone is dead. As Dororo stands there in shock, the execution begins. The archers raise their arrows and fire, despite Dororo’s pleas. Hyakkimaru appears just in time to save him but nobody else survives. Sukeroku was also shot dead by an arrow.
And that was Sukeroku’s story. Needless to say, the modern version barely had any effect on me, while the 1969 one genuinly made me tear up but that tragedy was part of the era and part of the story. Multiple characters and stories have been altered, like Daigo personally offering his son to the demons in exchange for power, whereas here he doesn’t know what they’ll take from him in this version until Hyakkimaru is born. That’s the only reason I’m not giving this a higher score. I feel, making the show more lighthearted took away something important.
[7/10] (x)
Recommend: HELL Yeah! | Yes | Eh??? | Nope | This anime killed my parents

Trying real hard not to break out the X-Men quotes regarding Daigo (and Tahomaru a bit as well, but still) and their continued justification for the sacrifice of an unwilling victim in exchange for prosperity and whatnot. Like, sure, people were suffering, but you’ve also both made it fairly clear you aren’t willing to give up the same as you’ve asked others to give up.
Ultimately, to give in and use the X-Men quote, “You’re so full of shit! If you’re so righteous, it’d be you in that thing!”
That’s not to ignore some of the concerning imagery in the past few episodes, and certainly, it isn’t ideal for anyone to have to be eaten alive so that everyone else (in a relatively small territory) can be comfortable, but the attitude from those demanding a sacrifice in-universe seems to be, “Someone else should do it. If it’s not me, it’s 100% the only way, and that’s just the way it’s going to have to be.”
But if they aren’t willing to make the sacrifice themselves, they shouldn’t be surprised when they people they throw under the proverbial bus object to being run over.

The Young Lord's Bride (Part 1)
(a Dororo x Inuyasha crossover)
Tahomaru x f!Reader (romantic, non-smut) | Sesshomaru x sister!Reader (platonic) Summary: While on the search for Naraku with your older brother, Sesshomaru, a strange demonic energy brings you to an abandoned village in the Land of Daigo. There, you meet the Lord's son, Tahomaru, with whom you begin to foster a forbidden bond.
A/N: Ages -- Sesshomaru and Reader are both many hundreds of years old (as demons). Physically Sesshomaru is 19, Reader 17. There will NOT be smut or sexual content in the story
"Aniue."
Sesshomaru didn't respond. He kept on walking ahead of you down the path, deep in his own silent thoughts.
"Aniue."
Typical to his character, he still didn't respond.
You sighed and ran to catch up with him. "Aniue, I'm talking to you! Hey!"
Without looking back, Sesshomaru replied, "Y/n, I am not in the mood to talk. Heed your older brother's will and be silent."
"That's right, y/n-sama!" Jaken piped up, waving his staff of three heads in a scolding manner. "You must obey Sesshomaru-sama and stop your babbling at once!"
You glared at the loudmouthed imp. "Who says you can tell me what to do?"
"Jaken," Sesshomaru said calmly, without emotion in his voice. "If you give another scolding to my sister, I will kill you."
Jaken cowered and made many quick steps backwards.
You looked at your brother as he continued on ahead.
"Aniue. Will you let this gripe with Inuyasha over the Tetsusaiga go?"
Sesshomaru slowed down a bit in pace. "You do not understand the blow to my pride Chichiue gave me by leaving me nothing but this sword that cannot cut," he said with bitterness in his voice, his eyes refusing to glimpse at you.
You sighed. "Yeah, well he left me the So'unga, which I can't even use."
Sesshomaru's eyebrows furrowed very slightly. "That is your weakness if you cannot use it."
You folded your arms over your chest. "Then why don't you help teach me how to overcome its aura, Anieue? It's too much for you, too."
Sesshomaru was silent for several steps.
"Still, y/n, Chichiue was willing to leave you with something of value."
There was no point continuing to argue with him. You stayed behind him, watching as the fluffy piece of his armour seemed to wave behind him like a tail.
But then, suddenly, he stopped and put his arm out in front of him. "Do you sense it?"
You concentrated more. "It's very weak. Do you think it's Naraku?"
Sesshomaru took off at full speed.
"Aniue!" you call as went after him. You hated how he had the habit of sprinting away without warning.
"Sesshomaru-sama! Y/n-sama! Please don't leave me behind!" Jaken's squeaky voice shot into your ears before you disappeared into the distance.
You and Sesshomaru followed the faint demonic energy until you reached an area where you were surrounded by it. The two of you both elegantly came to a stop, finding yourselves in a damaged village. The demonic energy was lightly pulsing under the ground like the echo of an earthquake.
Somehow, despite being left far enough behind that you would think he would be lost for good, Jaken always catches up to you. After you and Sesshomaru took a moment to survey the area, searching for the core of the demonic energy, you heard Jaken panting, completely out of breath. The small creature then collapsed to the ground behind you.
"This human village is a mess," you said as you looked around. The place was deserted, with no people to be seen and X markings on most of the houses.
Jaken, having taken in large inhales of air, cringed from the stench. "It smells like decaying bodies over here! Fuu! There must have been a human plague here. What do you think, Sesshomaru-sama?"
Sesshomaru didn't answer him. Instead he moved closer to you and put a hand on your shoulder. "Y/n, let's go. We do not want this smell to contaminate us."
You nodded in agreement, and were about to leave with your brother, when a young man's voice called over to you.
"Who goes there!?"
You could see in Sesshomaru's jaw that he was gritting his teeth at the sound of the voice. From what you could sense, it was obviously coming from a human, and an uppity one at that.
You turned in the direction of the voice to see a young man dressed in samurai attire. He had a harsh expression on his face, as if he was pressing his muscles into a scowl to try to make himself look tougher. His slanted eyebrows dug into his brow as his glare pierced heavily towards you. You couldn't help but bring your attention to his right eye. It was closed with a vertical scar going through the middle, as if he had been slashed in the eye. It was rather shocking. He looked like he was only around Inuyasha's age.
Jaken started to shake his staff at the young samurai. "How dare you talk to my Lord and Lady with that insolent mouth, human! If you value your life you will get on your knees right now and show some respect --!" His squawking speech was silenced with a kick from Sesshomaru's feet as he calmly and deliberately stepped closer to the young man.
The young man seemed to be made uncomfortable by Sesshomaru's presence, but he stood his ground. "Who are you and where do you come from? This is Daigo Land!"
You heard Sesshomaru growl quietly under his breath and wondered if the young samurai would end up soiling himself out of fear.
"Daigo Land?" you ask and step forward, moving between Sesshomaru and the stranger. "Some land you've got here. This village seems to have fallen to its death."
"Y/n. I will speak with this human," Sesshomaru said.
"Let me take care of it, Aniue. You're too annoyed right now."
"Y/n ..."
"Aniue, just let me handle him."
The bickering seemed to relax the young man. The muscles in his face stopped squeezing together so roughly, and he looked at you with a gaze of curiosity.
"Do you know of a demon named Naraku?" Sesshomaru asked in a stern voice.
The young man looked confused. "Naraku?"
"That's right!" piped up Jaken. "Have you no ears!?"
"Silence, Jaken!"
"Y-Yes, Sesshomaru-sama."
You rubbed your forehead. "My brother is really focused on the mission we've got. But it seems you don't know anything."
"Mission?" the young samurai asked.
"Y/n, we will be going," Sesshomaru said.
You looked at the young samurai. He was kind of cute, now that he wasn't trying to look as angry and authoritative as before. "Aniue, I think I'd like to talk to him more. Maybe he knows more than he lets on."
"I --" the young man began.
"Y/n," Sesshomaru said with an underlying harshness in his voice. "We will be going. I desire to investigate the demonic energy in this region. We will not be wasting our time here."
"Demonic energy?" the stranger asked. He stepped closer to you. "What demonic energy?"
"You don't sense it?" you asked.
He shook his head.
"It is because he is a useless human, y/n. We are going." Sesshomaru started to walk away.
"There is ... a place around here that concerns demons," the young man said.
Sesshomaru stopped.
"Can you bring us to it?" you asked.
"I ..." He seemed to not really want to, but felt very pressured by Sesshomaru's threatening eye. He didn't appear to catch on to the fact that you and your brother were demons, but it was clear that you were both very powerful and in the strange company of your imp servant. "Yes. I can. If you will allow me."
"Well then, let's go, since we found ourselves here!" you say before your brother can utter a word. You look to the young man. "We'll be following you then. Or at least I will." You look to Sesshomaru, who gives you a glare.
"Yes," the stranger seemed to be nervous. "Follow me." He cleared his throat. "The place I'll bring you to is a bit of a distance. I have my horse tied at the edge of the village, but there aren't any others around. We'll have to ride to the Castle to secure some for you."
"Castle?" Sesshomaru asked.
The young man nodded. "Yes. I'm Lord Daigo's son, Tahomaru."
Sesshomaru appeared to take him slightly more seriously after hearing his pedigree, although at the end of the day he was still a human.
"My sister and I do not require horses. You will point us in the direction we are to meet you at."
"I'd like to ride a horse," you say. "It's something new."
"Y/n, this is not a time for adventure."
"Why not?"
"This is a serious matter."
You sigh. "I still want to ride a horse. So, Tahomaru can point you and Jaken in the direction to go, and I'll go back to the Castle with him and get a horse."
"You will not be going alone over there."
"Then come with me, Aniue."
It was all too overwhelming for Tahomaru. He cleared his throat and tried to stand straighter. "Please, if you come to my Castle, I will treat you to some tea."
"We do not eat human food," Sesshomaru said, almost in a snarl.
Tahomaru froze. "Human food?"
"We're demons," you say. "Couldn't you tell?"
Tahomaru just stared, his eye popping open wider.
You sighed. "No, no, we aren't those kind of monster demons that are overly aggressive and kind of stupid. We're more sophisticated demons."
"That's right!" came Jaken's voice. "You should know better just by looking at my Lord and Lady!"
"Jaken." Sesshomaru sounded like he was coming close to losing his patience.
You look back to Tahomaru. "Don't listen to my brother. We can eat human food. He's just being difficult. But we prefer raw meat, if you can arrange that."
Tahomaru stuck his nose into the air a bit. "Well, we do have plenty of high-quality raw fish at the Castle. There's more than enough that can be arranged for your liking."
"Sounds good. I'm actually pretty hungry." You look to Sesshomaru. "I'm going with him, Aniue."
Tahomaru straightened his shoulders and started to lead you to the horse. Jaken started to rant again about how you should not defy your older brother's wishes before he was stepped on by Sesshomaru, who reluctantly followed you. He caught up with you in an instant, hovering over your back as you walked.
"I do not like going with him," he said under his breath in a very low voice.
"He might have more information about that demon energy. It's the best lead we've got," you said to him back.
Sesshomaru sneered but agreed, and all of you began to head to the Castle.

Shinkalion (Last: 1): E5 x 500 BROUGHT KAIREN TO HIS KNEES WITH ONE CHOU GRAND CROSS AND THEN SUCCEEDED WITH HAYATO AT 100% COMPATIBILITY AFTER SHASHOT REVEALED THAT HE WAS A LIMITER AND SACRIFICED HIMSELF.
Hinomaru Sumo (Last: 2): Kirihito exceeded 20 seconds against Sawai and had to fight again after a simultaneous landing, but his technique earned a quick win. Yuuma was not as lucky against Yomoda, who endured Yuuma's strikes and outlasted him.
Run With the Wind (Last: 3): Yuki literally ran a blistering Stage 6 -- he bled through his shoes -- and Nico-senpai followed by proving that you could still enjoy a successful run with a larger body.
The Price of Smiles (Last: 5): Yuki had her army capture the imperial army's attention so her squad could sneak into a Verde facility to shut down the planet's chrars... of course, Stella's squad found them.
Dororo (Last: 6): Hyakkimaru's brother Tahomaru got a focus episode and showed he has the skills to back up his talk by leading an assault on a giant enemy crab, even though Hyakki had to land the final blow.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Last: 4): Getting superior spirits into the kids turned out to be laughably easy, although Chloe got a mysterious and evil Future Plot Monster instead. Rimuru bade them farewell and enjoyed a flashback sequence.

Tahomaru tries to help you
⚠️ this is a dribble stemming from personal issues of being in a very dark place. Mentioning of suicide, social situation problems, depression, minor PTSD attack, poor living conditions. Read only if you're comfortable with these topics. Please do not ask me if I'm ok. I'm struggling but getting through this, and I'm using this piece to try to help myself cope, and who knows, maybe it'll help someone else too. ⚠️
Also sorry in advance for all the pics. It's a bit oversaturated
+ you have been without hot water for 6 days, with outdoor temperatures nearing freezing at night. You find yourself shivering especially on this 6th day after your heated-water-on-the-stove shower, a recent online interaction having sent you spiralling through painful memories.
+ and we won't even go into the communications with the landlord that day
+ you feel that a worthless, incapable piece of shit like yourself does not deserve any happiness or comfort. After all, you're just a lazy, psychotic human who's had so much given to you, right? Maybe your own feelings and perspectives on your struggles are not valid enough
+ you become engulfed in the memories of being isolated, pushed away, unappreciated, unwelcomed in social situations, the heavy pain in your heart and soul eating you up from the inside like a black hole to swallow you up
+ your mind can't stop. You have to keep remembering these times to validate your own incapabilities, your own failures, your own psychological struggles that prevent you from doing what for most people is normal
+ no one is there to help you. You feel so cold, both inside and outside. You wash your hands in the sinks ice cold water as you put on your skincare to try to put something normal into your life
+ how you could have used that warm, purifying shower to wrap you in its embrace. If you couldn't have a person, then you could let your skin pretend that it was feeling such soothing contact from the outside
+ you didn't want to call tahomaru. He was the only one you felt you had, but you didn't want to burden him. What if he also would invalidate you? What if he would also end up sending you both into a fight of a "my life is worse than yours" argument?
+ but you needed him now. How you hoped you wouldn't be seen as a thorn in his side. Sometimes you were afraid to communicate with him. You were starting to get clingy towards him, and whenever you got in a relationship where you really wanted the other person's friendship and attention, they would start to distance themselves from you. Right now, you couldn't bear facing tahomaru do that to you
+ you were on the last string of your rope, you felt. One more smash of pain into you and you might just end yourself
+ no, you would not do that. The risk was too great that you could end up deformed or seriously disabled. You would just maybe mentally burst. "Just" mentally burst.
+ you called tahomaru, who after hearing you weren't feeling well, immediately offered for you to come to Daigo Castle. It was always a strange experience being transported back in time and part way across the globe, but you had gotten used to it
+ tahomaru greeted you with a hug and immediately noticed how cold you were. "Y/n? What happened? You'll get sick this way" He didn't hesitate to take off his haori to put over your shoulders. He ordered mutsu and hyogo to have the staff make some hot tea and brought you to his quarters.
+ he let you change into some of his spare clothes and set up one of those heated table things idk if they were in the sengoku era or not,but they are now. Deal with it
+ you've shivered less since being with him and he has seen how bad you were feeling and did everything he could to make you comfortable
+ but tahomaru is nosy, too, so he asked you what happened. When he heard that you didn't have hot water for 6 days, his jaw dropped not like the average person in the sengoku era had hot water but tahomaru always got a heated bath so he can be like "wtf you're living how?"
+ "why didn't you come sooner? You can't keep living like this, y/n. You deserve better" He gives you some blankets to warm you up more and then decides to sit behind you and embrace you. "Stay here with me. Is this better?"
+ he's so warm and soft behind you, yet he feels strong too. It calms you a bit to feel his strong arms around you. For this moment, you feel like there is someone to fight for you
+ "i didn't want to burden you with my negativity." You hesitate to say the next part, but you do. "When I'm in a bad place, people always leave me"
+ tahomaru holds you tighter. "You mean so much to me. I would never leave you. If you're down, that means you need me more than ever. I promise. As your friend, I'll never let you be forsaken"
+ you find it hard to trust him. You're sure that one day, he'll have had enough of you
+ "y/n..." He notices everything. "Y/n, you don't trust me. Do you..."
+ "I'm afraid you'll hurt me like all the others. Yeah."
+ "I won't. I promise. You mean so much to me, and...you know, I'm lonely too." His voice gets a little sad. "We can be lonely together."
+ you hug his arms that are around you. Tahomaru gets even closer and embraces you tighter, pulling into his soft chest.
+ "I'm going to take care of you. I promise."
+ after all the heartbreak and pain you've experienced with other people, you still don't believe him, but you'll believe him for now. In this moment, he is there to support you and comfort you. Right now, that's what matters
+ when the hot tea comes, he loosens his embrace and sits next to you. He occasionally asks you if you are warm enough.
+ "stay the night. Then tomorrow, I'll go hunt something for you and cook it myself. It'll make you healthy" He's so proud of this idea he has
+ his words bring tears to your eyes. Someone like you doesn't deserve such kindness, yet you crave it from the deepest corners of your soul
+ when tahomaru sees that you're holding back tears, he looks like he is wondering if he did anything wrong. "Hey, y/n, did I make you sad?" He immediately hugs you, almost knocking over the tea
+ you shake your head as he hugs you. When you rest your chin on his shoulder, he puts his hand gently on the back of your head
+ "I'm here for you and I'm going to do my best so you feel better. You're important to me. Can you remember that you're important to me?"
+ you can only wonder for how long tahomaru would feel that about you
+ tahomaru starts to rub your back. "You mean so much to me. I'm here and I'm not leaving. I'm going to make sure you're OK, no matter what it takes"
+ he offers to play a game with you to try to get your mind off of everything that is troubling you. He wants you to know that whenever you are with him, you are safe and you are not alone. He manages to choose some silly game that makes you laugh
+ you fall asleep cuddled with tahomaru under a warm blanket, soothed by his body heat and the kindness he showed you. As long as you were with him, you were protected both physically and psychologically.
+ maybe you could stay there a few days and hope the hot water is fixed when you return
+ "y/n. I'm coming with you to make sure that thing is working properly."
+ maybe tahomaru can be a little too protective, but you appreciate it because he will stand by your side and fight with you

Tahomaru on a train with you
For ~7 hours to be exact
+ he's not happy obviously
+ he puts on like 3 face masks because of all the people, but then starts to hyperventilate saying he can't breathe
+ his hair gets messed up and that makes him cranky
+ he is shaking his leg and tapping his foot most of the time
+ he keeps looking out the window and then to the table showing the travel information
+ if the train is 1 minute delayed he says we should demand our money back you're in Europe now, taho. Everything is fucking late and they don't care. And no I'm not riding Deutsche Bahn but pretty close 😉
+ seeing the state of some of the abandoned old buildings and soviet looking stuff outside, he wonders if the train will get hijacked and held up
+ he says we can get off at the next stop and he'll use his father's credit card to hire a cab
+ except he sees what it looks at the station at the next stop at every next stop and changes his mind because he thinks he'll get robbed
+ he vomited in his mouth after having to use the train toilet
+ he eats a lot to get his mind off of the travel. It doesn't work
+ he demands to talk to the train staff to find out why we aren't moving faster
+ he complains about the lack of customer service
+ if you're lucky, he will fall asleep so you don't have to watch him and make sure he doesn't do something stupid
+ he is cute when he sleeps, so that's good
+ except it messes up his hair more and he goes hyper trying to fix it when he wakes up and sees his reflection in the window
+ when you get to your home or accommodate he needs to do laundry and bathe immediately
+ later that night you will make fun of the ridiculous humans you saw on the train especially the ones that came in at bratislava and brno

Dango🍡 with Tahomaru
He will do anything except pay
A/N: I know the title sounds spicy, but it is not, and this short fic is completely SFW and with a platonic relationship
You were sad and beaten down by life, so Tahomaru treated you to an evening walk in the town. The two of you led the way through the streets, followed by Mutsu and Hyogo, who remained at a comfortable distance.
"Here, y/n. It's my favourite place to get a snack," Tahomaru says to you, and before you can even respond, he takes your hand and goes into the building. He then proceeds to order multiple dango for himself, and without asking you your preference, says that he'll order one of each for you so you can try everything.
It's all right. You know that if you don't like one of the flavours that Tahomaru will eat it. It would actually probably cause a funny scene. You could imagine Tahomaru eating more than he should, and Hyogo trying to convince the Young Lord to share some, all while Mutsu stands there, staring and annoyed with you all. The image made you snicker a little.
"Hm? What's so funny, y/n?" Tahomaru asks. He gets an awkward expression. "Do I have dirt on my face or something?"
Not with that text, ofc, ignore that
"No," you say and smile at him. "I'm just excited to try the food."
"Ah?" He squeezes your hand and brings you to a bench outside the building to sit down. "Am I lifting your spirits, then?"
You shrug a shoulder. "A little, yeah."
Tahomaru looks really happy. At times like this, he really is filled with an adorable golden retriever energy that makes you feel valued and wanted.
When the dango is brought to you, your eyes widen at how much there is. There's so many that it seems it would be impossible for the two of you to eat it all.
"Are we sharing with Mutsu and Hyogo?" you ask.
"Huh?" He seems to not have thought of that. He glances over at the two standing near the door to the building out of the corner of his eyes and sighs. "I guess I can spare a couple of these."
You're pretty sure that if you weren't there he would have just kept all the dango to himself, but that he doesn't want to appear too greedy and bratty in front of you. You smirk as you watch him wave over Mutsu and Hyogo.
"Just take one for each of you. Okay?" Tahomaru says, getting a little flustered.
"One of these isn't enough for me, Waka," Hyogo says.
Mutsu shakes her head, takes one dango stick, and walks away.
"If there's leftovers, I'll give you those, Hyogo. But now, I said just one." That bratty mood is coming through.
Hyogo looks at you, as if asking for you to convince Tahomaru to share more, but you aren't of any help. He sighs and takes one stick of dango, eyeing it like it's an insultingly meager amount of small change.
"Will you leave us alone now?" Tahomaru asks.
Hyogo shakes his head and walks away.
Tahomaru growls a little under his breath and starts to chow down on the dango.
"Are you ok?" you ask.
"I'm tired of them hovering over me like I'm a child." He eats more of the dango and then looks over to you. Upon seeing your face, his own softens. He loudly gulps down what he had been chewing. "Try some." He pushes the large plate more into your hands.
You take one of the sticks and start to eat it.
"It's good. Isn't it?" He smiles and continues to eat. "Make sure you try every flavour and tell me which one you like best." He continues to talk with his mouth full. "Next time we come, I'll get a big plate of this, all of your favourite."
You smile at him and give him a nudge, eliciting a light giggle. You then try the different flavours and give him your rankings of them. The dango was more delicious than you expected it to be, and you also end up eating more of than you should.
Tahomaru laughs. "See? It's the best place around, didn't I tell you?"
You smile and point to the side of your mouth. "You've got some of the sauce topping right here."
He gets flustered. "I do?" His face suddenly hardens and he turns away. "No, I don't." He wipes his mouth and turns back to you. "See? There's nothing there."
You snicker and give him a one-armed hug.
He blushes a little and smiles shyly. "We should go now. It's getting late." He stands up and pats his stomach. "Ah! And I'm so full!" He stretches his arms and then extends his hand to you. When you take his hand, he helps pull you up from the bench. Not like you needed the help but let him be sweet like that "All right, let's go." He starts to walk off the small engawa and away from the building with you beside him.
Suddenly, the man who runs the dango shop comes out of the building and calls to Tahomaru, "Hey! You have to pay for that!"
As usual, Mutsu gets left covering the bill on Tahomaru's behalf. Hyogo tries to order some more dango, to which Mutsu says no. He sulks. There's nothing he can do, since Mutsu is the one who is in charge of holding the money.
Tahomaru leads you once again through the lit-up streets, proud of himself for making you feel better. Even though the little dango snack trip didn't make your problems go away, it helped you to feel braver for the future, knowing that your friend was by your side. You were not alone, and you had someone who cared for your comfort and well-being. No matter what would come next, you could conquer it, knowing that at the end of the day, you could always have Tahomaru's support to fall back on.
