Red Winter is Coming!

Day 15 of @tacom-literatureu-blog’s TACOMTober! The Red King is one of my fav characters in this series, and this drawing has been my favorite so far!

there’s an issue in the timing of mcc. i’m trying to stay at least somewhat realtime-compliant but mcc is one of those things i’m happy to move around a bit because it happens so often and its place as ‘dubiously canon’ in every smp. the only place i can think of where it’s proven canon is third life; the red king’s crown is meant to be an mcc crown (this one’s got many implications in the tacomlu which i came up with and might borrow adapt for this - i came up with the bulk of that lore anyway) but other than that.. they mention it a few times on dsmp, every now and then on hermitcraft, scar likes wearing his mcc skin on hc after he’s participated, but that’s all really kinda dubiously canon. just the red king thing. and that’s got good timing anyway we’re in the clear there (third life was roughly between s7 and s8 and this stuff happens while s7’s still going pretty strong)

Bc I'm in a TACOMLU mood, here's two songs that just fit characters from those fics

This one just screams TACOMLU!Grian or Jimmy. Listen to it and try to tell me wrong. It fits either or both of them and if I had the tools to make an animatic I would.

Twin Sized Mattress - The Front Bottems

This just fits the over all plot in so many ways- Here's parts of one verse:

'For the friends I've made' - Martyn vibes, fight me.

'For the sleepless nights' - Gem, Grian, Ranboo, Red, Eret, so many characters

'For the warning signs I completely ignored' - Jimmy or Grian or anyone talking about events!!

'It's no big surprise you turned out this way' - I feel like this is something Scar or Mumbo would say to Grian during one of their fights-

I've been thinking of reading the tacomlu! What was your thoughts on it? Ive seen good things about it

tacomlu… there’s more letters there than i remember there being. take a chance on me… lu? i’m realizing this is not relevant uhh anyway,

i’ll admit “dsmp person gets isekai’d to hermitcraft for therapy” isn’t a preferred trope of mine, so i don’t think i’d have picked it up were it not recommended to me / were i not told the red king is somewhere in one of the sequels, cuz i love him. i’ve also only read the first one so i can’t speak for the later two

since it’s not a trope i pick up to read on my own, it’s not one id think of if you asked me to recommend dsmp fics i liked off the top of my head, but if you like that trope and these characters, you’d probably enjoy it. it has a lot of interesting concepts plus a generally compassionate read on the sympathetic characters

The TACOMLU Hermit Tattoo post!

Have you ever wondered if the TACOMLU Hermits have tattoos? Well, wonder no longer! - Patton

Bdubs- a clock on his right shoulder (because 'it looked cool')

Cub- the concorp logo on his right peck, the pattern of Scar's wings across his neck

Doc- Tommy’s full birthday in binary code around the bicep of his lower right arm. If anyone asks, he says it's a recipe for pasta sauce

Etho- none (that anyone knows about)

False- eagle wings across the nape of her neck(was inspired by Cub's tattoo)

Gem- none (yet)

Grian-  the L'manburg flag on his ankle. It's rarely seen, and only Wilbur knows it's there

Hypno- a pocket watch sleeve up his arm

Impulse- the date he met Skizz across his collar bone

Iskall- a blooming rose matching with Stress on her shoulder

Jevin- you can't tattoo goop

Joe- Beetlejhost took over last time he tried to get a tattoo, so she's opting out for now

Keralis- xB's name in a heart on his bicep, Xisuma’s name in a heart on his hip

Mumbo- none but Niki is talking everyone in the Syndicate into getting matching tattoos

Pearl- half of a sunflower that matches with Sausage

Ren- Womb tattoo that says 'Papa K', Tramp stamp that says 'Docm77, a crescent moon over his heart, 'Season 4' in cursive across his arm

Scar- the concorp logo on his left thigh, Tommy’s birthday and the day Tommy disappeared on his right

Skizz- the date he met Impulse across his wrist above the 3 hearts every player has

Joel- none because he's a weenie who hates pain

Stress- at this point what part of her ISN'T tattooed. An entire sleeve of vines, roses, tulips, etc up both her arms, an Iskallium stone on the back of her left hand, her favorite constellation on her ankle, a heart on her cheek, the Hermitcraft logo across her tummy

Tango- a ravager head across his pelvis (yes it hurt like a bitch but Zed said it'd be cool)

Beef- none, but he will get one to commemorate TCG

Wels- none

xB- Papa K womb tattoo, guardian spikes down his spine

Xisuma- all the Hermits names across his back in cogs like a machine, a tramp stamp but only Keralis knows about it

Zedaph- a trophy to represent his Zedvancments

Cleo- they used to have SO MANY, and her favorite was a little ghostie on her wrist representing Joe, but after XD turned her into a gorgon they all disappeared

Lyarrah- a candle up her arm and a pair of goggles across her ankle

Zloy- a red feather on his wrist and a candle on his hip

Pix- the coordinates of The Vigil above his heart, a half burning candle up his leg, a hard-core heart to represent Phil on his right ankle, his parents and sisters names in candlescon his back, a red feather and a pair of goggles on each of his shoulders

Right. So. We have a google slide for this but the list of characters is Very Long because we’ve listed Basically Every Character In Every SMP Even Slightly Related To The TACOMLU Ever. You’re not getting that today. Also the google slides is formatted Not Great so you’re not getting the raw material. I think I quoted like half of ‘Diabolical’ on Wels’ slide and he’s only been mentioned like, once in passing. We do have lots of Wels lore though lol. Maybe next book wink

So today we’re just gonna focus on major characters! Starting with the time quartet.

Grian- previously a Parrot Avian, forced into being a Watcher. Now he’s both.

Mumbo- Netherborn Enderman that was taken at a young age to participate in the Blood God Arena. Managed to survive long enough to get out with Blood God status. Stole part of Grian’s soul and inherited wings and Watcher magic from that.

Martyn- Elf/Fae that became a champion of the Listeners. I am so sorry Martyn we’ll get more lore for you soon.

Jimmy- Born on Hardcore mode with sea monster genes that gave him cod-like features. After dying for the first time, became an omen, harbinger and angel of Lady Death, gaining canary wings around death or disaster. Ever since Grian and Wilbur’s deaths, the wings have not gone away. Also a champion of the Listeners, has different powers to Martyn.

The Red King- A Blood God that, instead of wandering the worlds like his peers, is summoned. The pledge he made in Third Life gave him a presence in the new Renchanting on the DSMP, and Niki willingly gave up one of her lives to give him a physical body. Usually takes the form of Rendog, a wolf hybrid, but can change at will to any of his other forms.

Tommy- fucked up little code creature Scar made accidentally back in season 6. This is the best and only way to describe Tommy.

Tubbo- Goat hybrid [REDACTED] Captain Sparklez, [REDACTED] and unknown, who we know is [REDACTED].

Ranboo- Ok I know this isn’t super relevant but like. When I asked this question to Patton the formula he came up with gave me 150% of a person. First draft of this guy’s heritage and he is 1.5 people. So that’s fun. Explains a few things about Ranboo. I’m just gonna stick with ‘a mix of a bunch of different Enderman heritages rolled into one person’ for now and we’ll see what happens.

Wilbur- Patton’s the Wilbur enjoyer not me so I honestly have no idea. Bird-Fridge-Demigod baby. Trans of gender. Human somehow. Ha! Everyone point and laugh at the human! The only human in the active TACOMLU apart from [REDACTED]! Ok I asked and apparently he ‘evolved like a pokemon’ and now he is an Avian. Elytrian > Human > Avian

Phil- Corvid Avian and angel of death. Also husband of death so that’s extra cool points. Born on Hardcore mode like Jimmy (who is older than him btw)

Techno- Piglin, Blood God, you know the usual stuff.

Quackity- Duck Avian that had his wings clipped at a young age.

Scar- Vex hybrid that was raised by Sirens.

Impulse- Netherborn Demon

Pearl- Patron of Gilded Helianthia, Moth hybrid, there’s something going on with the moon there too. Memories of Evo were removed to protect her. - Chambers

To answer your question.

Red himself is almost always tits out. All his shirts have boob windows. They have either been pre ripped, or conveniently ripped. This man has TITS.

The number one qualifier to being a father figure of Tommy Innit is you have to have massive knockers. Phil, Red, Doc, Scar, Jimmy. They've all got big bazongas. Titties. Cleavage for days.
