legitimately though nothing will be funnier than being on tumblr in 2017 when my mutuals were posting about taz balance, specifically during the reunion tour/stolen century/story&song era, and hearing everyone talk about "lup this" and "lup that." then a year later i start listening to taz balance and i'm like "wow i'm so excited to meet this lup character everyone loves so much :)" and then the story starts and i'm like "wow this is so fun i wonder when lup will show up :)"

i dont know how taako got pigeonholed as the bottles up their feelings twin when taako after reaching a certain point of stress will just start shouting an emotional monologue about how upset he is, and lup was in love with someone she saw on a daily basis for several decades before saying anything about it and got lost in a cave for years because she didnt want to tell anyone about an extremely dangerous plan she made that concerned the fate of the entire world, for which her backup plan seemed to be "itll be fine dont even worry about it"

I love how you can hear the exact moment that Justin figures out who Taako is. He's trying to do the "Taako's an idiot" thing at the beginning of Rockport and you can tell it's not working for him. Then in that first interaction with Graham, he refers to himself as "Taako from TV" for the first time. His voice deepens just a bit and he calls Graham "my man" and it's like, yep, there he is. There's America's Favorite Wizard.
