Original t-neu ask for context.

My understanding of t- terms is that they are both a shortening/alt to trans terms, can represent other terms starting with t (ask here), as well as be their own standalone terms (which makes sense, sometimes people feel described by one term, but not another, even if they are for the same definition).

Just wanted to state my ideas behind these terms. I mean for these flags to be inclusive, so if anyone connects to this in a way not really included by the definitions I listed, I think you can still use them.

Also, I wrote all the names with a dash, but they can be used without the dash, or different capitalisations too.

The flag formats are based off of @revenant-coining's tfem & tmasc flags. Which I assume are based off these trans flags, going by the colours. So I took various trans-gender-quality flags, without the white stripe, and mirrored them across the middle. (The removal of the white stripe is just for aesthetic/formatting purposes, not to take away from any meaning.)

Also, only t-neu was originally requested, but I saw the flag format, and it just works so well. I do really like making sets of flags.

This is niche (maybe) but please share more about ice and mav at Oshkosh!! Do they go yearly? Or just the one time? Are they part of any aviation enthusiast communities???

yes yes yes!!! going to air shows is 100% a date for both of them. i feel like: a couple things:

- they’ve both probably seen the blue angels so many times it’s not super exciting anymore, and until they retire & become private citizens it’s also too big of a Thing for them to go, so they try to go to civilian/private air shows if they can

- one exception is fleet week for obvious rzns. They both probably have to do shit for fleet week on the reg. Ice especially

- i do keep thinking it would be funny for mav to do like a two year tour with the BAs at some point but there wasn’t room for that in the narrative so it’s Schrödinger’s headcanon

- before they retire their schedules are super crazy packed & don’t always line up, even if they request certain dates (like each other’s birthdays, Xmas, thanksgiving, Oshkosh etc) off in advance, so Oshkosh specifically doesn’t become yearly until after they retire. But after they retire they do annually fly in to Oshkosh in their p-51. lots of picnic lunch breaks in Reno/Omaha/Boise etc

- theyve been to the big international air shows (farnborough, Paris, NOT dubai for security/gay people issues, etc) together a couple times when they can swing it. (Me looking for any excuse to send them back to europe on vacation) but before they retire it’s also probably a Thing. So Thing-ness (public & Navy engagement etc) has to be accounted for when they’re planning their trip. they do have a responsibility to rep the Navy as best as they can etc etc

- Thing-ness also has to be accounted for when joining aviation enthusiast groups… after they retire & get married hell yes!!! they probably have a ton of civilian aviation friends & are pretty involved. not before their marriage though. It takes a while for them to come out of the hidden little shell they’ve been living in for thirty years & make friends as a real couple. but they do eventually.

The bed is particularly soft under his back, and even with his arms outside the comforter, the temperature under the blankets is exactly what he hopes for every morning. He's still half asleep when he shifts from one position to the other, snuggling against something even warmer and softer, and oh, he finds himself thinking, he's really dreaming because what could be warmer and softer than the amazing comforter that's already warming him? He knows the answer is half a step away if only he would wake up, but he doesn't feel like he needs to be somewhere else or that he forgot something pressing. So he just let sleep take him back under, in that peaceful and blessedly quiet state that he was enjoying until not longer than a few minutes ago. The very warm and very soft thing - person?- that -who?- is occupying the bed with him moves, and Mav finds himself being lulled by a heartbeat just under his ears.

Thursdays have never been Mav's favourites, but this one feels like a new kind of day he could start to love.

Sorry I haven’t been very active y’all. A lot of stuff happened recently. A family member passed away, my grandpa got sick and went to the hospital, then I got sick too and the medicine I took made me so sleepy that I’d pass out for most of the afternoon. But I’m better now (as is my grandpa), so hopefully I’ll be able to share more art soon!

Do you have any opinions on what kind of music mav and ice like? I’m just curious as someone who has motorcycle riding 80s navy dad whose favorite two artists were Madonna and Bruce Springsteen if you think the answer would surprise us? Or if they’d be as predictable as always

Yeah nothing crazy. kinda predictable i guess. classic rock, country rock, classic blues, nostalgic 60s folk, contemporary stuff when it comes on the radio and isn’t unlistenable by their middle-aged-white-man standards.
