It was hot. Mikayla knew she was moving to the desert when she'd moved to Tonopah Valley, but she wasn't convinced that anything could be hotter than NYC in the summer. How wrong she'd been. She and Emiri had found shade beneath a large tree which helped shield them from some heat, but she was beginning to regret her choice of ensemble. "Do you think I'll get judgmental looks if I took off my shirt?" she asked with a small laugh at how ridiculous it sounded. "It's basically the same thing as if I were wearing a bikini top, but you never know how people will react."

"Emiri!" Mikayla slowed as she approached the other woman, pulling her into a hug in greeting. "Feels like it's been forever since I last saw you. I love this look, by the way. It's really working for you." She smiled and pulled out of the hug. "I assume you've been to these before, so is there anything in particular I absolutely must do that's unique to the area?"

Mikayla wasn't expecting absolution for what she had done by any means, but Emiri's words brought a sense of peace she hadn't felt in what felt like years. She didn't hate her for what she'd done, even if she had every right to do so. Maybe this was what unconditional love was really supposed to be. Reaching over, she took Emiri's hand and gave it a squeeze. "He did, but I'm okay now," she said, "Thankfully Niko found me pretty quickly. I guess it sometimes pays to be as paranoid as he is." She let out a soft laugh, knowing Emiri would understand what she meant about her cousin. "And he's going to go away for a really long time for what he did to your dad. I'll do whatever I can to make sure that happens."

Emiri’s lips part briefly with intentions of wanting to tell Mikki that she should always worry the people that cared about her, instead she managed to respect her friend’s space and listen, she couldn’t even begin to comprehend what she had been through and no, she didn’t feel she could relate to providing information to evil sources, but what she could do was understand from Mikki’s point of view and the way she must have felt like she didn’t have a choice. Emiri nodded lightly, unable to shake that what if thought that was circling her mind - would have dad have still been alive? She could toy on that forever, yet accepting the response she had gotten provided more stability. “I— I think…” she wiped her eyes again, trying to force the pools of water circling her eyes to remain exactly where they were, “I think you did what you thought was right at the time.” Emiri moved over towards her friend, reaching for her hand, tears glazing her eyes as she focused her attention of Mikki, “Are you okay? Did he.. did he hurt you?”

Chapter seven.

I fiddled with my hands nervously in my lap as I looked out the car window, watching my surroundings pass by.

Ino seemed to notice this while he was driving, a soft smile on his face.

"Don't worry, if I like being around you, then so will my family." He said.

"I know, I know... But still." I huffed.

Why was I so nervous?? It wasn't like we were dating or anything.

Ino pulled up to a nice suburban home, parking the car next to the curb and removing the keys from the ignition.

"Whenever you're ready." He said.

I nod and unbuckled my seatbelt.

With that, we walked over to the door and Ino knocked.

The door swung open and a woman who looked around our age, maybe a bit older stood there. She had brown hair as well that reached past her shoulder blades, and looked a lot like Ino, the two having similar facial features. Except her eyes were like a Hazel green. She smiled.

"Takuma! Hey lil' bro, good to see you!" She said.

Ohh this was his older sister.

Ino smiled sheepishly as he stepped inside, gesturing for me to follow. And I did.

"Nice to see you too, Emiri." He said with a smile before turning to me. "This is my friend I mentioned, Y/n L/n." He said.

Emiri looked at me and smiled brightly, shaking my hand excitedly. "Hi!! I'm so excited to finally meet you!"

Finally meet me?

"I'm Emiri Ino, Takuma's older sister." She said smugly.

"Only by four years!" He said defensively.

I snickered quietly before turning to Emiri. "It's a pleasure to meet you." I greeted.

Ino grabbed my arm gently and led me into the next room, which was the living room.

An older man and woman sat on the couch, looking to be in around their 50s.

The woman had brown hair as well, but with gray streaks in it, tied in a bun. She also had glasses and I noticed she had brow eyes like Ino.

The woman turned to Ino and smiled. "Takuma! Welcome home dear!" She said, walking over and giving him a hug.

"Hi Ma." He said in a softer tone.

The older man stood up, approaching as well. He had black hair with gray streaks as well, and those hazel Green eyes Emiri had.

"How's it going, son?" He asked, patting Ino's shoulder.

"It's going fine, dad." Ino replied.

Once they pulled away, he stepped aside to introduce me. "This is my friend I was telling you about.. Y/n L/n." He said.

I smiled sweetly at the older couple, bowing my head slightly. "It's a pleasure to meet you both. And thank you for having me." I said before raising my head back up.

"Ah, it's not problem at all. Takuma wouldn't shut up about your situation." His dad chuckled.

"Takuma, you didn't say she'd be this pretty." His mom said.

Ino coughed in embarrassment.

I laughed, obviously flattered.

"I'm Reiko Ino." Ino's mom introduced herself. "This is my husband, Hiroki Ino."

I nod in acknowledgement. "Y/n L/n."

Dinner went smoothly, the food was delicious and everyone was laughing and having a good time.

"So, L/n, how'd you and Takuma meet?" Hiroki asked.

"Please, call me Y/n." I said with a small smile. "And we met at college. We share a couple classes together and met at the beginning of this semester." I explained.

"Well, I can certainly tell you that you make him very happy." Reiko said. "He loves talking about you."

"Mom!" Ino groaned in embarrassment.

I laughed again.

"I'm glad I can make him happy, because hanging out with him makes me happy too." I said.

Ino visibly blushed a bit at that.

"You're the first girl he brought over since Akari... Thank god they broke up, I had a bad feeling about her." Emiri said.

I shrugged sheepishly. "Well then, I'm honored to be here." I said.

The rest of the night was a blast, honestly. We went from eating dinner to playing a game of charades in the living room.

While Emiri was acting something out, me, Ino and his parents sat back on the sofa, making guesses as to what she was acting out. In the midst of the laughter and excited guesses, I felt something touch my hand. Looking down, I saw Ino's hand, in mine. Our fingers intertwined.

I felt a fluttery feeling in my chest, a small blush appearing on my face this time as I locked our hands together before turning back to the game.

After saying goodbye to his family and driving off, Ino was dropping me off at my dorm building.

I smiled softly, unbuckling my seatbelt.

"Thank you... For taking me to meet your family, Ino-"

"--Takuma." He corrected.

"What?" I responded, caught a bit off guard.

"You can call me Takuma." He said with a soft smile.

I hummed quietly. "Well, thank you, again... Takuma." I said.

"Before you go..." He started, catching my attention.

"Yes?"

There was a long pause. He was clearly contemplating something.

Letting out a soft sigh, he spoke up.

"I'm glad you came. They really liked you."

Again, that fluttery feeling in my chest came back.

"I'm glad... The last thing I want is your family to not like me..." I mumbled sheepishly.

I gripped the steering wheel tightly. Goddamnit, I was so close to saying it...

I watched as she laughed softly. Her laughter was so sweet to my ears. And it made it better knowing I made her laugh. God, she looked so pretty.

"Alright, well... You're probably exhausted so, I'll let you get going." I started. "Text me when you get inside safely, yeah?" I said.

She smiled at me. "I will, bye Takuma." She said before getting out of the car.

That damn smile. It made me weak in the knees. What I'd give to kiss all over her face and hold her close and cuddle her and have cute little dates with her and-

'Get it together, Takuma' I mentally scold myself.

I can't help it though, she was like a rain of sunshine on a cloudy day.

Fuck. I'm so in love.

[S] She swallows nervously. “Sure? Just-” She looks around. One of Dazai’s bandage rolls dropped out of Ranpo’s pocket as they were leaving earlier, so she left it on an unoccupied table to return it later, but oh well, Dazai probably has a million of these anyway. She goes and picks it up, tossing it to them. “Just don’t bleed out in my workspace.”

[T] They swallow down grief and put their hand in its. Its skin–though Gin doesn’t know if that’s really something it has–is warm in the way a fresh cup of tea is. Not burning, just enough to soothe, to spread heat through Gin’s body in turn.

[A] And it does not show its face all day. Lucy clocks out before closing time, and she knows it won’t visit while anyone else is on shift. She doesn’t go straight to Emiri and Kichi’s apartment today, instead just meandering down the streets, looking at the shops and restaurants and everything else Yokohama has to offer.

[R] Rashomon is a snarling, snapping thing, even at her calmest. There is always a part of her that must be sharp, for Ryuu needed her to be so. But now she is here and he is not, and perhaps it's foolish, but she is the only thing they leave the door unlocked for at night.

As the day drew to a close, the sky became a canvas of vibrant hues, painted with the soft strokes of the setting sun. The bustling energy of the day gradually mellowed into a tranquil serenity as the world around began to wind down. Shadows lengthened, casting a gentle veil over the landscape, while the air became infused with a sense of calm.

Emiri led the way following Seven while he trailed the pink-haired boy through Sendai City to a local hospital. The sky was bright hues of red and orange as half of the sun had disappeared. Emiri released Seven then lounged in one of the chairs in the waiting room as Megumi paced in a dark hall. The boy had entered a room and was yet to come out.

“Yuji Itadori,” Megumi stated, which caused Emiri to glance at him.

“You figured out his name,” Emiri chuckled before she continued tauntingly. “Good for you, Megumi!”

He huffed at her comment before she withdrew her attention from him. The two sat silently for an hour until the boy wandered into the waiting room. He conversed softly with the nurse behind the counter as he filled out papers. Emiri pushed herself to a stand as Megumi lingered behind her. The boy slowly turned as he noticed the two staring at him.

“Yuji Itadori,” Megumi repeated with a menacing tone towards the boy.

The boy hummed in confusion as the two neared him.

“I’m Fushiguro from Jujutsu High,” he gestured to the girl next to him. “This is Hara,”

“We’d like to have a word with you,” Emiri kindly stated as she broke her stance.

“Now,” Megumi urged, partially cutting her off.

“Um,” Yuji stuttered at the sudden confrontation. “I’m, uh, in mourning…right now.”

“Who passed away?” Emiri stepped towards the boy in a comforting manner.

“Emiri…” Megumi growled under his breath as she drew the conversation away from the Curse Object. Emiri waved her hand at him urging him to shut his mouth.

“My grandfather,” Yuji stated reluctantly. “But he was more like a father to me.”

“I’m sorry it had to happen at a time like this and…” she continued as the boy looked over at her.  “I understand, but this can’t wait. The cursed object you possess is very dangerous.”

“I need you to hand it over,” Megumi continued with his cold demeanor.

“Cursed object?” Yuji questioned as he gawked at Megumi. 

Megumi reached into his pocket and grabbed his phone. He unlocked it and held up the photo of the cursed object, a small circular object wrapped in cloth and placed in a sliding box. Yuji leaned toward the photo.

“Oh, yeah, that,” he responded casually as he leaned against the couch. “I found that. I didn’t think much of it, but my friends were totally into it. What’s dangerous about it?”

Emiri sighed as she listened to Yuji talk. Megumi sighed as he looked up at the boy.

“Every year there are more than ten thousand unexplained deaths and missing persons in Japan. And most of those are the result of curses.” Megumi informed stoically.

“Curses?!” Yuji spat in disbelief. 

“I don’t care if you believe in them or not, the fact is they exist.” Megumi continued gruffly. 

Emiri watched as Yuji contorted his face in confusion at Megumi.

“Just listen,” she sighed as she neared the boy who had assumed a lying position on the couch. “Large pools of energy form easily in schools, hospitals, and so on. Hardship, regret, shame, these emotions become the source of curses.” 

“That’s why most schools secretly keep a cursed object to serve as a protective talisman.” Megumi offered, only to receive a glare from Emiri. 

“Just like the one you found,” Emiri continued in a welcoming tone in contrast to Megumi’s blunt attitude.

“If it protects us then shouldn’t we be grateful for it?” Yuji questioned only to have Megumi snap at him.

“Let her finish,” Megumi’s words hung in the air as he let Emiri continue.

“The cursed object needs to be incredibly evil to keep lesser evil curses away, but the protection isn’t permanent.” Emiri sighed as Yuji listened intently. “The problem is the seals weaken overtime, then objects serve as a lure to attract and strengthen other curses.”

“The object you found is a dangerous one,” Megumi warned. “Classified as Special Grade. Now hand it over before people start dying.”

Megumi stuck his hand out roughly and Yuji groaned as he stood.

“I told you that I don’t have it anymore,” he reached into his pocket and threw the small box at Megumi’s chest. “Here’s the box.”

Megumi caught the box and slid the lid open. He shuddered at the sight of the empty box, the indent of where the finger used to be. This whole time they had been following a trace left by the object. Yuji turned to leave the group, but Emiri reached out and gripped his shoulder. He winced at her sudden change in demeanor.

“Hold it! Where is it?!” she growled as Yuji pushed her hand off his shoulder.

“Knock it off,” he sighed. “See, my friends were planning to, uhh…”

“To do what?” Megumi asked sternly.

“Well, they were saying let’s open it up to see what’s inside it…tonight.”

Megumi and Emiri both gasped as they backed away from Yuji. He took note of their horrified expression.

“Uh, why? Is that bad?” he questioned.

“It’s much more than bad,” Megumi stated curtly. “You’re friends…are going to die.”

Yuji’s breath quickened at the statement. He stood in a state of panic for a moment, but he looked up at the two sorcerers and declared he would take him to them. Megumi and Emiri followed Yuji from the hospital, through Senai, and back to the school. The sun had set and the city was left in darkness, only with subtly slivers of moonlight.

“Are talismans that easy to open up?” Yuji questioned as he led them across a bridge.

“No, it’s impossible for those without cursed energy,” Megumi informed as he followed Yuji closely.

“Normally,” Emiri huffed between pants. 

“Go right here!” Yuji announced as he took a sharp turn into the trees. “Shortcut!”

“This time the object itself is too strong,” Emiri continued as they shifted directions and the silhouette of the school came into view. “And the seal is ancient, it might as well be plain paper.”

“I still don’t get all this curse stuff,” Yuji sighed.

“Is that the building?” Megumi questioned as they began upstairs. “Where are they?”

“Fourth floor!” Yuji announced as they stopped in front of a gate.

Yuji groaned as he ran into a sort of invisible wall. The building in front of them was crawling with cursed energy, seeping out the windows. The cursed energy had created a sort of barrier of pressure around the building.

“What is this pressure?” Yuji questioned as he looked up.

Megumi and Emiri pushed past him. 

“We’ll handle this,” she stated as she began to climb the gate.

“Oh, no way!” Yuji objected as Megumi followed Emiri. “I’m coming!”

Emiri jumped off the top of the gate and Megumi stopped at the top. He looked back at Yuji with a heartless, gruff tone.

“You’re staying here.”

Megumi launched off the gate and followed Emiri into the dimly lit building. She raced up the stairs a few feet ahead of him. The cursed spirit had already been released, and both of them could feel the energy engulfing them as they proceeded further into the building.

“Emiri!” Megumi called after her.

“The curse had been unleashed,” Emiri informed as she continued her rapid pace up the stairs. “It’s presence is everywhere!”

The determination washed over, Gojo’s words repeating in her mind. She could use her power as she pleased, she could use her power to save Yuji’s friends. As Emiri ran up the stairs she folded her hands together. She folded her fingers, leaving her pointers out as she muttered. A pool of purple murkiness appeared by her side and crept into the air.

“Heavenly Hound…”

Beside her, the body of a dog morphed from the darkness of the shadows. First, its glowing green eyes appeared, then the body. Seven howled as his body formed. Megumi caught up to her as he turned the corner and the dog came into view.

His feet slid on the pavement as a small cursed spirit appeared in front of them. It was a small lump of the curse about five feet long with eyes all over its wormy body. Megumi pushed Emiri to the side as he charged the cursed spirit.

“Out of my way!” Megumi shouted as lunged forward. “Demon Dogs!”

He brought his hands together and they slid past each other, his thumb latching with the nook between his pointer and thumb. Next to him two black puddles melted and formed two dogs. One was white with yellow eyes and the other black with red eyes.

“Eat it, boy!” Megumi ordered and the dogs lunged at the curse.

Emiri stood behind with Seven still loyal at her side. The Shikigami she could create were much different than the ones Megumi could. As a descendant of the Zenin Clan, Meguim had inherited the ten Shikigami technique, meaning she could draw forth ten Shikigami from the shadows. When Emiri first summoned Seven it took everything she had, and much more to turn into a real dog, therefore he only attacked when she ordered. To save his strength Emiri used Seven as her last line of defense.

Emir cracked her knuckles before she focused her energy on his palms, her wrists. She could feel the cursed energy flow through her blood as circular handles formed from her wrists and landed in her palms. Then two long, curved, pitch-black katana blades began to reach out in front of her.

“Where are you hiding those?” Megumi chortled as he looked back at her.

Emiri scoffed at Megumi’s comment as she knew he knew how her cursed energy worked. When Emiri was a child, her father pounded nails into her wrists, and to his surprise, her body healed around them. She then used them to draw power off, to create Cursed Tools. Due to the metal embedded in her, Emiri was able to draw her cursed energy towards the metal and form blades.

Megumi took off with his Demon Dogs as Emiri and Seven followed closely. Seven positioned himself at their rear and stood watch at the end of the hall as they turned the corner. As they progressed down the hall the curses grew in number.

“We’re close!” Emiri announced as she slid around another corner.

Megumi stood next to her as the cursed spirit came into view. It was a large lumpy monster with tank skin and janky arms. Its arms were wrapped around a girl as it gnawed on her arm. The creature growled at the sight of Megumi and Emiri.

“There you are,” Megumi growled as his dogs took a stance beside him.

“It’s trying to swallow her and the cursed object!” Emiri announced.

They watched the Cursed Spirit flung around Yuji’s friends. The girl was in its mouth as it tried to swallow her and a man in its arm was screaming. Before Emiri or Megumi could move the window to the left of the spirit shattered. A figure launched through the window and a flash of pink hair.

“Itadori!” Emiri shouted.

The boy ignored her warning as he spun around the cursed spirit. He twisted before he propelled downward and kicked its eyes. The creature howled in pain as Yuji ripped the girl from its mouth, and then grabbed his male friend. Yuji safely landed in the hallway holding his friends tightly.

“This is a curse?” Yuji groaned. “Not what I was expecting.”

Emiri was quick to move as she drew her katana down and lunged for the Curse. She twisted effortlessly as she sliced straight through the monster's thick body. It groaned as it began to disintegrate with purple smoke. Meguim released his dogs and they began to gnaw on the destroyed body of the cursed spirit.

Megumi neared Yuji as Emiri drew her blades down. She flung them around her head until they rested on her back and she released the handle. She brushed off her uniform as she turned to Megumi and Yuji and Seven bounded to her side.

“I should be asking what you’re doing here…but good job.” Megumi groaned.

“You’re pretty smug, aren’t you,” Yuji scoffed.

“See,” Emiri urged as she stood next to Megumi. “You’re a smug bastard.”

Megumi glared at her as Yuji gawked at the dogs.

“Just out of curiosity, what are those things munching on the curse?” he inquired.

“My Shikigami,” Megumi looked back at the dogs. “Wait, you can see them? Normally a curse can’t be seen. Not unless you're on the verge of death or in special places like this.”

“Yeah, that makes more sense. That one too?” Yuji gestured to the black dog at Emiri’s side.

“Yeah,” she whispered as she slightly raised her arm which released Seven from his position.

Seven was extremely similar to a real dog, he had a menacing stance, a killer jaw, and razor-sharp teeth, but he loved people. Everyone, except Gojo, is what Emiri had discovered. He was well trained enough to only greet people when Emiri directed like a service dog. Seven leaped forward at the movement of her arm. Yuji smiled as he leaned down to pet the dog.

“I’ve never seen weird stuff like this.” Yuji sighed as he rubbed the dog.

“Oh,” Emiri sighed at Yuji’s comment. “But you’re not scared?”

“I was, I mean for a little while there,” Yuji admitted softly. “Then I thought…everybody’s gonna die. I might as well give the people I care about a chance at a proper death,” he reached down and pulled the cursed object from his unconscious friend's fingers. “This it?”

“Yeah,” Emiri nodded. “Ryomen Sukana’s finger.”

“It’s a miracle that something didn’t swallow it.” Megumi sighed as she pushed his hair back.

“Why would anyone eat this?” Yuji asked.

“Don’t be dense,” Megumi urged.

“You’d eat it to gain stronger cursed energy.” Emiri offered. “Now, hand it over.”

“Fine,” Yuji sighed as he reached his hand to give her the finger.

As Emiri reached to take the object from Yuji, Megumi looked up. A ginormous blue hand reached out from the ceiling for Emiri as she smiled at Yuji.

“Emi-”

Revue Starlight Sports Festival Draft!

As you know, the big Stage Girl Sports Festival Revival will take place in February - literally just a full day event of the various cast members of Revue Starlight (from anime, game, and stage plays) will participate in a funky pretend-highschool sports festival. Today the full teams were decided via draft stream!

The team leaders had previously been announced:

Koyama Momoyo (Aijo Karen, Seisho) - Yellow Team "ZERO" Tomita Maho (Tendo Maya, Seisho) - Blue Team "This is..." Nomoto Hotaru (Yukishiro Akira, Siegfeld) - Red Team "HOT" Nanaki Kanon (Yanagi Koharu, Seiran) - Green Team "shuThuarunomi" (集中あるのみ; "sTay focused")

Also quite funny to me that 3 of the team leaders (all but Maho) are former Sera Myu performers... the Sailor Moon squad has taken over

As is tradition at this point, ensemble member Jinko Moe is the MC for this stream and explains the rules. In the first two rounds, all leaders are free to pick 1 stage girl of their chosing per round from the roster as their top picks. If any chose the same person, they will have to decide by draft - the loser can then choose freely again. After round 2, all other rounds are chosen by draft completely by luck. We already knew not all cast members are going to be there so not every stage girl is available for chosing. Suzuko Mimori (Hikari), Emiri Kato (Tsukasa) and Shiina Hekiru (Souda-sensei) are going to be the MCs at the event, so they won't be participating as athletes either. Also, Tsukui Minami (Suzu) and Kobayashi Yuka (Yakumo-sensei) are a "2 for 1" deal, as they won't be able to make the whole event (iirc).

Team Zero's name is the most easily explained. Moyo gets a lot of praise from her colleagues and chat for her genius team logo design. The E is a crown with tomato jewels... I'm in awe

Maho explains the pronunciation of her team: The "..." is performed dramatically with the eyes, like the above. Lol

Nossan's design of course features Hot-kun, Akira's favourite food & beloved plushie. The Hot-kun icon is actually the inside of a chili, not a sun. Apparently.

Kanon struggled quite a bit with finding a team name, and after consulting with the other leaders in their Line chat group, she wanted a good Koharu line as the team name. Koharu's "うるさい." ("Shut up.") came to mind, but she thought that was too rude for a team name, so shuchuarunomi it became. She placed a big T (position zero!) for the "ch" sound. Complicated, but clever.

Time for drawing the teams! In round 1, everyone is asked to present their top picks for their team.

Moyo's is: MATSUZAWA! Aka Matsuzawa Kanon, who plays Shiro from Siegfeld Middle School!

Maho's is the one and only Sato Hinata - student council president of Seisho herself, Hoshimi Junna.

Nossan's top pick is: Ikuta Teru of Futaba fame!! And funnily enough...

Kanon's pick is also Teru!!! She even drew a tiny Ponzu (Teru's dog) to sway the public. The crowd goes wild. They have to let fate decide who wins over Teru for their team, and Nossan comes out on top. So Kanon gets to choose again, and her next free pick is Haruchan! Aka her fellow Photon Maiden bestie, Iwata Haruki of Mahiru fame.

Time for round 2, and last round of free picks! Again, Moyo goes first.

Moyo's second pick is Saeki Iori, who plays Rinmeikan's Yuyuko!

Maho's second pick is Sasaki Mikoi aka Mikoron, Shizuha of Frontier!

Nossan's next pick is Koizumi Moeka aka Moepii, who plays the one and only Banana! Complaints from the other leaders are heard for her making her team too strong. Lol. We'll see about that.

Kanon's pick is Kuge Kokoro of the Siegfeld Middle Schoolers, who plays Minku! No overlaps this time, so everyone gets their first pick!

The next picks are all made by random draft, so it's really just up to luck. Kanon is praying to get at least one other Seiran member for her heart. Everyone is praying not to get Aiai (lmao). Kanon manages to draw Tsumutsumu, another Photon Maiden member, making it a 3/4 for her team (with the fourth PM member, Hinata, sitting in Maho's team). For Nossan, she manages to draw two people very close to her - Ozaki Yuka (Michiru) and Kadoyama Yoko (Hisame), two of Akira's girlfriends. Moyo gets both of the Yumeoji siblings. Maho gets to draw her bestie's wife, KDHR. Kanon's wish is fulfilled by drawing the 2for1 duo of Minami&Kobayashi, her fellow Seirans. The crowd goes wild when Nossan draws Aiai, her team being declared the noisiest for sure (they're not wrong, this will be utter chaos).

Which character outside the SOS Brigade would you like to know more about?

Man, this was such an easy answer before Intuition. Of course, that easy answer would be Tsuruya, but we've received quite a bit of insight into what her life looks like at this point; so it doesn't make sense to say Tsuruya again; and Tsuruya's Challenge also gave us some insight into T as well.

Honestly, though, setting that line of thought aside completely? There is another easy answer, at least for me.

Emiri Kimidori.

We see that Yuki and Asakura both seem to have gained more autonomy and free will/personal desires than they're seemingly supposed to have. But Kimidori is always kind of in the vicinity, and she's literally never been the focus of anything more than a passing scene.

I want to know more about her. I want to see her daily life and know if she has the same unexpected individuality the other two have developed (presumably via proximity to Haruhi and possibly Kyon).

The fact that she works at that café and asks Kyon not talk about it, because she's not supposed to when she's on the student council, stands out to me.

Like. Does she work because she needs to? Does she work because she wants to? Was she only there to serve the purpose her superiors intended?

What exactly is her intended purpose? What does she enjoy? Does she live in the same apartment complex as Yuki, like Asakura? In general, what's her situation? What does she do when she's not working, or doing her student council duties, or bringing problems to someone's attention?

There's a lot of interesting potential there, but we only ever get hints of it.

The Forgers’ fun continues when Loid, Anya, Yor, and Bond return for adventure in SPY x FAMILY Season 2, premiering this October. Streaming only on Crunchyroll, the series will be subtitled and dubbed in all of its territories, with new episodes premiering every week starting on Saturday, October 7 after its broadcast in Japan!
