One last little run of classic games consoles? These are all 80s and early 90s machines, so we're coming into the era of things I was actually playing with first time round.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
The Sega Master System of 1986, the western version of the Sega Mark III, and below, the somewhat cheaper 1990 Master System II. In my day, you were either a Sega or Nintendo household. We were resolutely Nintendo, but we played the Master System II at our neighbour's (that was permitted by the terms of rivalry).
Tumblr media
The 1987 European model Atari 7800. Never used the Atari, they were waning by the time I was playing, but I love the design. They had backwards compatibility, which it took forever for the others to catch onto.
Tumblr media
The Casio P1000. Short-lived, Japan only, but God, isn't it gorgeous? From 1983. I feel like you could climb inside and live TRON.
Tumblr media
The Action Max by WoW from 1987. Beautiful looking bit of kit, but it played games on VHS tapes! You had to plug the Action Max into a VCR and the VCR into the TV. Some games were based on movies which must have led to some error purchases.
Tumblr media
The Amstrad GX-4000, a British console released in 1990. Cheap but with great graphics, but the games were crap so it flopped.
Tumblr media
VTech Socrates from 1988. Known in European markets as translations of Professor Know-It-All. This was an educational system with limited games but it's a lovely design.
Tumblr media
The Systema TV Boy Mk. II (1992 I think). I had one of these, it was terrible. It had over 100 games programmed in, but they were shoddily ported knock-offs of Atari games.
Tumblr media
The Sega Mega Drive, or the Genesis if you're American. The original version came out in Japan in 1988, we got it in 1990. I played a lot on these at friends' places after they upgraded from the Master System, until we got:
Tumblr media
The Super Nintendo Entertainment System, 1992 UK edition. Abbreviated lots of ways, we always called it the SNES. In Japan it was the Super Famicom, released 1990. The Mega Drive might have looked cooler, but the SNES had the very best games - OK, half of them were the same, but Sega didn't have Mario or Donkey Kong.

Call of Duty Headcanons
Summary: Ivanova Twin headcanons. For some sweet new future things with these two. These are based on their background. More coming in the future.
Content Warning: Dark themes. Mature Themes. Trauma. Violence.
Potential triggers: Violence, themes of war, trauma, and implied child neglect/abuse (due to the mention of a turbulent household).
If any of those things bother you. I suggest you click off this as soon as possible. Only you, and you alone, are responsible for the intake of media, with that being said. I hope you enjoy.
Masterlist / dividers / Credit (Dividers)
[Part One] [Part Two] [Part 3]
Tumblr media
One) Oksana Ivanova, born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She has an identical twin named Katya Ivanova. Despite their incredibly, possibly unsettlingly identical appearance, they could not be any more different from each other in terms of their personality.
Two) Oksana’s personality is far more unsettling in terms of her  perceived cold, calculating demeanour. She is known for her ruthless efficiency and an almost eerie calmness under pressure. Her eyes, often described as icy blue, seem to pierce through anyone who dares to challenge her. Oksana is a master strategist, always thinking several steps ahead, and she has a reputation for being utterly relentless in achieving her goals. However, this is brought on because she is the older twin by five minutes, and she felt entirely responsible for her siblings after their home life fell apart.
In contrast, Katya is a warm, compassionate individual and approachable, with a natural ability to connect with people. She is empathetic and often serves as the moral compass for those around her. Katya’s kindness and compassion make her a beloved figure among her peers, and she is often the one to mediate conflicts and offer support.
Three) This sense of responsibility has shaped Oksana into the formidable figure she is today. Her upbringing in a turbulent household forced her to develop a tough exterior and a sharp mind, traits that have served her well in her military career. Oksana’s dedication to her mission and her team is unwavering, and she often puts the needs of others before her own, even if it means making difficult decisions.
Four) Katya, on the other hand, took on the role of the nurturer in their fractured family. She became the emotional anchor for her siblings, always offering a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear. Katya’s warmth and empathy have made her an invaluable asset in her own right, as she excels in roles that require diplomacy and human connection. Her ability to understand and relate to others often helps her defuse tense situations and build strong alliances.
Five) Despite their contrasting personalities, Oksana and Katya share a deep, unbreakable bond. They have an unspoken understanding and an innate ability to communicate without words. This connection allows them to work seamlessly together, each complementing the other’s strengths and compensating for their weaknesses. Their unique dynamic makes them a powerful force, both on and off the battlefield.
Six) Oksana with her ten years of Spetsnaz as a sniper and dealing with anti-material sniper rifles, training in Russian martial arts of Systema and Sambo, training in close-quarters combat and her extensive experience in high-stakes operations. A force of nature, stewed within a familial background that would have suggested the opposite about her nature.
Oksana's ability to remain calm under pressure and make split-second decisions is unparalleled, unsettling and terrifying to her enemies. A master of disguise, able to blend and adapt to different environments seamlessly. Her observation skills make her an expert information gatherer. Oksana's ruthlessness is often mistaken for cruelty, but it's actually a cold, calculated strategy designed to achieve maximum efficiency.
Seven) Katya, while not as combat focused as her sister, has her own set of impressive skills. She has trained in various forms of self-defence and is proficient in close-quarters combat. Katya’s true strength, however, lies in her ability to read people and situations. Her background in psychology and negotiation has made her an expert in conflict resolution and intelligence gathering. Katya’s empathetic nature allows her to build trust quickly, making her an effective interrogator and diplomat.
Eight) Together, Oksana and Katya form a dynamic duo that is both feared and respected by their allies and enemies alike. Their complementary skill sets and deep bond enable them to tackle missions that others would deem impossible. Whether it’s a high-stakes infiltration or a delicate negotiation, the Ivanova twins are always up to the challenge, relying on their unique strengths and unbreakable connection to see them through.

What is Artificial Intelligence and its Future Scope?
Artificial intelligence is one of the foremost chop-chop developing fields within the technology business. AI is currently employed in a range of areas, as well as aid, transportation, and security. Multiple sectors demand the information of tough AI specialists as a result of this increase.
As a result, B.Tech specializing in computer science is well-liked and features a wide selection of applications. Students could use computer science to find out about Machine Learning and automation and build smarter choices. Students can gain a summary of essential machine-learning algorithms and commonplace methodologies.
Artificial intelligence is the science and engineering of teaching computers to try to do activities that need human intellect, like perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and language translation. it’s a discipline of technology dedicated to developing intelligent systems.
Scope of Artificial Intelligence
The goal is to form laptop intelligence programs that will handle periods of time issues and facilitate organizations and everyday folks to win their goals. Machine games, speech recognition, language detection, laptop vision, knowledgeable systems, robotics, and alternative fields have potential. The additional you perceive machine learning sciences, like physics or biology, the better.

The Absolute Worst Video Game Consoles of All-Time (Part 2)
Description: This list will rundown the worst home gaming & portable devices of all time. Some you may have played, many you i’m sure you have not because either they were complete market failures or they folded under the weight of other much better products at the time.
10. MGA Game Wizard-The MGA Game Wizard is another one of these handhelds that the distributor thought would sell more for the gimmick of what it was, as opposed to what you could actually play on it, which you will see over the course of this list is the trend with most of these failed consoles.
All it was, was one of those cheap ass LCD devices that Tiger used to make except it looked like a Nintendo Gameboy and the game cartridges came with their own LCD screen. There was a limited number of titles it offered and they weren't even fun. The popular properties such as, Star Wars, Power Rangers, VR Troopers & Goosebumps that they acquired went to waste because they didn't put much thought into the games they made with them. Some of them are so poorly designed that it's almost hard to call them games at all.
9. Gamate-The Gamate is probably the best of these cheap Asian alternative handhelds and it actually did very well commercially, but since i'm American and had access to better technology it just never made sense to own one of these. Like the others, it has it's own library of games and they are all of course generic versions of much more popular titles except with a lot more ghosting and less style.
8. Koei PasoGo-The fact that this came out in 1996 is peculiar because it cost way more than a lot of handhelds at the time and yet offered nothing that would allow it to compete with even the original Gameboy or even those Game & Watch mini-games that Nintendo used to produce as far as gameplay is concerned. It's damn near the size of an iPad and only plays variations of the Asian traditional board game, Go. It's become a collector's Item like many failed consoles, but I wouldn't even want this just to say I own a rare console that most other people don't have.
7. Systema 2000 / Hartung Game Master-You really had to use your imagination to enjoy playing anything on this. The screen on the device is small as hell and the games use incredibly basic shapes that don't really look like much of anything. Some of the games are mildly fun like "Falling Block" which is basically Tetris and Invader which is basically Space Invaders but in 1991 you could have done so much better than this if you wanted a legitimate handheld gaming experience.
6. Arduboy-Considering how well this thing functions you are probably wondering why it's so high on this list and it's because......IT HAS NO REASON TO EXIST! Why would I want a handheld that is the size of a credit card? Why? I'm a grown man, my hands are too big and this screen is too small. It's not fun to play and it's not even a keychain or a watch or something so I could make it an accessory. Why is this a thing!?

Carol Susan Jane Danvers AKA Captain Marvel - #2 hero in America
Past Aliases: Ace, Binary, Carol Daniels, Captain Whiz Bang, Cheeseburger, Major Danvers, Ms. Marvel, Warbird
Carol Danvers was born and raised in a Beverly suburban community to the north of Boston, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of three children after Stevie and Joe, Jr.. Her father was physically abusive to her half-brothers. When her father built their Cape Cod summer home, Carol insisted on working as hard as her two older half-brothers, trying to appear equal in her father's eyes. A voracious reader, she dreamed of becoming an astronaut and traveling to distant planets; as a teen she even hitchhiked to Cape Canaveral to view a launch there. Her father, however, could not accept women as men's equal, and when financial troubles meant he could only send one child to college, he chose Steve despite Carol's superior grades. He also dismissed her need for a college education and wanted her to find a good husband instead.
She turned 18 just a few months later, and the following day she turned her back on her father and joined the Air Force, intending to be a pilot and to get a college degree via the military. Her brother Steve's death in military action would eventually draw Carol back to her family, but she still never felt truly accepted by her father. She quickly rose to the top of her Air Force class, taking the call sign "Cheeseburger". While flying an experimental jet through Arabic air space, however, Carol was shot down and captured by a man named Ghazi Rashid, who tortured her for several days. She managed to escape (despite a broken leg and serious injuries), reach a CIA safe-house in the area, and provide key information to the intelligence community.
The traumatic experience set off a chain reaction and over the next few weeks her quirks manifested. She was sent into intense training to learn how to control her quirks and afterwards joined a group called The Avengers. The military background played a key role in not only her training but her popularity as she quickly rose to the number two spot in America. With the state of the American Hero Systema she’s uprooted herself and moved to Japan to help with the rise of activity there. She’s also taken up a teaching job at U.A. High to help train the next generation of Hero’s. She helps with both combat training and teaching English.
Quirks:
Enhanced Physical Abilities
Superhuman Strength: Carol is super-humanly strong, though her specific level of strength has varied over the years. She is currently listed at a normal level of roughly Class 50, half her original strength as Binary. However, since she is able to absorb and manipulate various types of energy, she can use this redirected energy to temporarily increase her physical strength to near-Binary levels, or Class 100+. Currently, her strength level at its resting rate allows her to support well over 100 tons, as she was able to support the weight of dead Celestial as one fell to Earth.
Superhuman Stamina: Carol's musculature produces considerably fewer fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. As Binary, she could physically exert herself at peak capacity for about 24 hours before fatigue began to impair her. She was reduced to roughly half this capacity after losing her Binary powers. However, she is capable of channeling absorbed energy to further increase her stamina to higher levels
Superhuman Durability: The tissues of her body are considerably harder and more resistant to physical injury than those of an ordinary human. She is capable of withstanding high caliber bullets, great impact forces, falls from great heights, exposure to temperature and pressure extremes, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining any injury. While channeling the energy she has absorbed, her body's resilience is extended to an even greater degree.
Superhuman Agility: As Binary, Carol's agility, balance, and bodily coordination were enhanced to levels significantly beyond the natural limits of the human body.
Superhuman Reflexes: As Binary, Carol's reflexes were heightened to the point of being virtually instantaneous.
Flight  Carol is capable of propelling herself through the air and the vacuum of space at tremendous speeds. Although her top speed is unknown, she flew at three times the speed of sound for several hours, so it is likely she can go much faster.
Space Flight: As Binary, Carol was capable of surviving unaided in the vacuum of space for indefinite periods of time. After first losing her Binary powers, Carol proved incapable of achieving orbit or surviving unaided in space. However, she was highly intoxicated when she attempted to do so, which may have hampered her progress. She has since proved capable of surviving and fighting in the vacuum of space, only requiring an air supply to do so
Flash Precognition (a.k.a. Cosmic Awareness/Hyper-Cosmic Awareness): As Ms. Marvel, Carol was subconsciously able to anticipate the moves of her opponents, though this power activated randomly, making it unreliable. After Rogue robbed her of her powers, she was subsequently transformed into Binary. After her Binary powers faded, it seems that Carol's Seventh Sense returned.
Regenerative Manipulation: Captain Marvel boasts a healing ability which she can consciously push to an extant, boasting a healing factor supplemented by absorbed energy. A facet of which was gifted unto her when part of the central nucleus of a techno-organic alien named Cru had physically merged with her.  This facility also bolsters the potency of her metabolism, allowing her to quickly regenerate from catastrophic wounds such as nuclear detonation, genetic disruption even brood infection. Her newfound recovery abilities had the added bonus of restoring lost biophysical facilities; like her ability to shift between Binary and Carol at will.
Contaminant Immunity: Carol's regenerative powers are so potent that she has a greater degree of immunity to toxins, diseases and/or poisons. Even being able to resist embryonic infection by the brood after a second attempt by one of their queens.
Decelerated Aging/Conventional Immortality: Dr. McCoy brought up how these new healing abilities put those of Wolverine to shame. Stating that her regen powers would keep Ms. Danvers in her prime forever.
Healing: Like her accelerated healing factor, Carol is able to rapidly heal others by focusing different forms of energy into their body, thereby greatly boosting their healing processes.
Energy Manipulation: Much like her namesake predecessor, Captain Marvel can control, absorb, and manipulate various types of energy to be discharged however she sees fit. Over the years, Carol has become an expert at modulating the various aspects of re-purposed energy at her disposal, even learning some new tricks from her alt. counterparts during her life as a super heroine.
Energy Absorption: Her body is capable of absorbing various types of energy for the purpose of temporarily enhancing her own physical attributes. She can augment her strength and energy projection up to the force of an exploding nuclear weapon. If empowered by enough energy, she can assume her Binary form again temporarily.
Photon Blasts: Carol can fire powerful concussion blasts of photon and stellar light energy from her hands and fingertips. As with a doppelganger of hers, Ms. Marvel can potentially discharge her energy from the eyes as well.
Molecular Manipulation: By channeling the absorbed energy, Carol is able to manipulate and alter matter and energy on a molecular level. She can use absorbed energy to transform her regular clothing into her costume and vice-versa. (This is an ability she once possessed as Ms. Marvel. Carol did not demonstrate the ability as Binary, it only resurfaced after her powers were reduced and she began going by Warbird.)
Matter Transmutation: By using her molecular manipulation, She is able to alter and reform matter and energy around her. This allows her to create and absorb matter and energy, shape, and rebuild it into anything of her choosing.
Energy-Construct Creation: As Captain Marvel, Carol has used her energy powers in more creative ways: She was able to create an energy barrier around a blast cannon which choked up the works until its internal structure violently ruptured from the inside out.She can even shape her stored energy into more practical shapes, like razor blades of pure energy to slice and sear with.
Self Sustenance: Captain Marvel proved time and again she can survive without need for eat, sleep, breath or rest by thriving the ambient energies within her surroundings. Capable of thriving perfectly within the cold recesses of deep space with little to no discomfort at all.
Abilities
Experienced Spy: Carol is an experienced spy, having worked various undercover operations for Air Force Intelligence.
Multilingual: Carol is fluent in English, Russian, Japanese.
Master Pilot: Carol is an accomplished pilot, having extensive experience with USAF planes.
Master Combatant: She is extensively trained in armed and unarmed combat through military combatives.
Talented Journalist: Carol is a talented journalist excelling as a freelance writer and magazine editor

KHR/BNHA Fanfic: OOTW Addition
Here’s the very first snippet I wrote when I was thinking of my BNHA/KHR crossover, back when my plan was a much more straight line ‘follow KHR into another world plot’.  Not adding to AO3 just yet because it’s in KHR pov, and technically happens before the first chapter.  Thinking I might add KHR pov to a seperate fanfic to make it less confusing once I’m done with the BNHA pov.
Quirk Registration
“All right, no more putting it off” Tsuyoshi warns, dumping the forms on the table.  “Quirk registry.  It’s going in tomorrow, so you figure out whatever lie will cover the majority of what you do.”
There’s a collective groan as the teens pass out the papers, while Kyoko and Fuuta give them sheepish looks.  With no active flames Kyoko is quite comfortably listed as Quirkless, while Fuuta had happily scribbled down ‘Ranking’ the day they’d learned about Quirk Registration.
In theory, it should be easy.  Just write down their flame’s attribute and move on.  Except…
“Most quirks seem to be fairly basic” Tsuyoshi warns.  “And your quirk name should describe it’s primary use.  While you hide everything else.”
He’s directing this mostly at Tsuna and Gokudera.  Gokudera, who, armed with five flames, is likely to raise every red flag in the country if he tries to list them all, and Tsuna, because while ‘harmonisation’ might manage to cover his hyper intuition in addition to his little-used ability to convert matter, his tendency to set himself on fire or encase things in impenetrable ice would probably be stretching it.
“I could just write down Hyper Intuition” Tsuna offers.  “It’s not like I’m ever planning to use Dying Will Mode again.”
Kyoko gave a small chuckle.
“True, but given our luck, you’re probably going to have to use it at some point.”
Fuuta was already writing down the statistical likelihood, and Tsuna’s head thumped on the table.
“I’ll just write down disintegration” Gokudera offers, filling out the paper.  “It’s not like I had time to master them all, I really need the Systema C.A.I to use the other ones.”
“That’s handy” Yamamoto laughs.  “Wish I could do that, but I think ‘Tranquillity’ is a little too vague to pass the registration.”
“How about ‘Tranquil Aura?” Fuuta replies, and Yamamoto brightens, while in the corner, Ryohei furiously scratches his scalp as Kyoko looks over his forms.
“I extremely don’t understand why I can’t just write Activation” he says, not for the first time.
“It’s not that you can’t big brother” Kyoko offers.  “I just want to make sure there’s not an...I don’t know, more obvious term for it.  You have better reflexes because of your flames, but you can also heal.”
“Honestly I’d just go with Activation” Tsuyoshi offers, pulling the top off a bottle and taking a long swig.  It’s been a long, illegal day, even for them.  “It’s pretty accurate without going into details.  What about you Chrome?  Any trouble?”
The girl jerks her head up from the paper with a blush.  “Huh?  Oh, no.  I didn’t just want to put ‘Construction, so-”
She lifts it up to reveal the phrase ‘Illusional Construction’ in the Quirk box.
“Simple and to the point.  That’s why you’re my second favourite Chrome” Tsuyoshi says, and the girl goes beet red.
“What about you Yamamoto?” Kyoko asks.  “Are you going to be okay listed as Quirkless?”
“I should be asking you that question” Tsuyoshi replies.  “I’m an adult, and once we get this place up and running I’ll have a full time career.  You’re going to school in a power-filled world unarmed.  Sure you don’t want Chrome to teach you how to use your flames?”
Chrome immediately looks over.  “I really wouldn’t mind.”
But Kyoko is already shaking her head.
“No.  I never needed them before, and I don’t want to need them now.  Besides, wont it look a little weird if we have the same quirk?”
Gokudera winces.  “Yeah, we’re already pushing it considering they all look alike.  We can’t risk identical quirks with no genetic match.  Not unless you’ve got a secondary sun under that mist.”
“We’ll never know” Kyoko replies, and Ryohei slams his pen down.
“I’m extremely going with ‘Extreme Activation!’” he announces, and Kyoko grabs his paper.
He’s even included the exclamation mark.  His sister mentally debates if it’s worth arguing for less than ten seconds.
“Extreme Activation! It is.”
Tsuyoshi grins, and points his bottle at Tsuna, who is still slumped on the table.
“Okay Tsuna, you’re the last holdout.  What have you got?”
The teen whines as Gokudera and Yamamoto coax him up.
“I don’t KNOW!” he wails.  “There is no possible quirk that will explain fire, ice, hyper intuition and everything else my stupid flames do!”
“You could say your flames are you harmonising with your own will?” Chrome offers.  “While your  intuition is harmonising with everyone else?”
“But what about zero point?” Tsuna asks.
“Forcing yourself out of harmony with the world?” Yamamoto offers with a laugh, and Tsuna slumps.
“Why couldn’t my family have had any other flame. They always make things so complicated.”
Gokudera forehead furrows.
“Family...wait a sec.”
He digs out the his new phone and starts shoving in a web address.
“Hang on, I read something about this when I was researching modern history...here!”
Gokudera happily digs up the quirk page – clearly something to explain to young children and therefore perfect for strangers to this world – and starts reading aloud.
“Although there is also a small possibility of developing a mutated quirk that inherits none of your family line’s previous abilities, most children inherit one of their parent’s quirks.  It is also common to develop a quirk that includes aspects of both parents unique abilities.  In some cases, aspects of quirks from grandparents can also make a reappearance.”
The website goes on to talk about something called quirk marriages, but that’s not really important so Gokudera closes the page.
“Maybe we can still call it a harmony quirk” he suggests.  It’s a quirk that, ‘harmonises’ with other quirks.”
Tsuna’s looking at him in confusion, but Tsuyoshi looks thoughtful, so Gokudera presses on.
“Okay, so, we’ll say your great-grandfather or something inherited the quirk that could harmonise matter, but what he didn’t know was that it mutated so it could fuse with any other quirk brought into the line.  So he married someone with a fire quirk, and had a kid that could harmonise and use fire.  Then there was an intuition quirk, an ice quirk-”
“Oh!” Tsuna gasps.  “So it’s still the one quirk, it just adds things with each generation?”
Tsuyoshi nods.  “And it means you don’t have to explain every aspect of it when people ask” he says.  “Just that it’s stockpiled every generation.  Although if you could just keep to the hyper intuition as much as possible, it would probably help.”
Tsuna nods, but starts to write.
Hayato, Takeshi, you’re going to have to grill him” Tsuyoshi warns.  “You need to be able to explain that as if you’ve known it your whole life.  Same goes for all of you – all things considered, this is not a world you want to get caught out in. Vongola might not exist, but it’s hardly peaceful.”
Everyone nods, and Takeshi takes the forms with ease.
“Okay.  Tomorrow, Chrome and Hayato are going to sneak these into the Quirk Registry office, and then I want you straight back so you can get to school on time.  Not going to let you be late on the first day.”
