In a nutshell...

Sari, Sonia and Syrus were the first kids they babysat. They were a bit confused why the professor had some sparklings but figured that they were orphaned during the war.

At least the kind Professor found them.

When they grow older, Sonia visits the daycare when she tries to find her younger siblings. The kids love climbing on her larger frame.

Sari and Syrus are regulars at the day care. The kids love hanging out with Sari and her cool older brother.

There's three girls in Jurai's dorm in Osiris Red in S1, yes, these are Judai's canon roommates, but genderbent.

Jaden Yuki/Yuki Judai ➡️ Yuki Jurai

Jurai is going to be more interested in her studies than canon Judai, purely because she doesn't want to let her mother down. that doesn't mean she tests well in class. I figure she's probably a more active learner than book learner, so she does well in lessons when she can do things, but the lectures bore her and she learns more outside class time. It drives Professors like Crowler/de Medici nuts, because she's awful in class, but keeps getting passing grades in exams which means he can't kick her out.

Syrus Truesdale/Marufuji Sho ➡️ Marufuji Shoko

Shoko is as nervous as canon to start with. Ryu isn't any softer with her than he is with Sho, but Jurai is patient with her and tries to help. She in exchange, helps Jurai with keeping up with classwork. She is SUPER nervous after she finds out Jurai is Yugi's daughter, because she doesn't think she's worthy of hanging out with Yugi's DAUGHTER, also Jurai is a little frustrated by her assumption that of course she's good at dueling, she was taught by her mother, when Jurai was good before she got adopted.

As she gains confidence, she's more solid in herself, more confident, and actually stands up to her brother, who's proud of her for finding her backbone. She also stops fritzing about the Yugi thing when Yugi comes to assist with the Shadow Rider/7 Star Assassin thing and Shoko learns she's a human like them.

Also instead of Aniki, older brother, Shoko calls Jurai, Anesan, older sister.

Chumley Huffington/Maeda Hayato ➡️ Maeda Hayami

A heavier set koala girl with space buns trying to persuade her overbearing mom to let her be an artist. Yes, there is a koala plush on her bed.

I like the idea of Hayami coming to Pegasus's attention because she draws something for Yugi after she learns who Jurai's mom is (she's being infinitely less weird about it than Shoko) and Yugi has it as her phone background and Pegasus harasses her for the name of the artist

That draws him towards Hayami, and then, when she wins the card competition, which isn't biased because he doesn't know she's applied, he decides he needs to have her for I2 because she's an amazing artist.

Also, everyone who likes the Ennead versions of the GX crew, please check out the incredible @gx-gameon whose version of Jaden lives with Yugi is absolutely awesome. I've been planning my version for a while and its quite different, but I very much recommend theirs, and look forward to seeing more.

Sy and the others head to the Bar of all Sanses where we meet em again at the end of the "Jumping Squirrel" Arc (which is the next arc of Jazztale I'm gonna have to upload here x3) and Pans continues to the sequel comic of this and the next part of the Tales of the Underverse Series, The Trial.

Yeah.....I know, I love spinning webs, there is a reason why my mascot literally is a flipping spider ;P

In any way, I'm gonna link to the continuation of those two parties as soon as I upload the comics here. ;)

FINALLY someone said it so i could reblog it

(This is @deck-shuffler ) what do you meeeaaaan people grossly misunderstood Sho/Syrus, I barely interacted to the fanbase yet HELP-

Well I don't wanna give you a bad impression of the fandom, I'm obviously not speaking about everyone and I'm sure this has probably shifted at least somewhat in my time, I've been around the fandom for at least 7 years now and all.

But in my personal experience, what I've observed every so often is people just.... not getting him, to put it very generally. It's weird, Sy's my favorite but I don’t actually talk about him on here too much so it's hard for me to really put words to it in the coherent, somewhat intelligent way I can with some other things but there's of course, the people that I've seen just write him off as annoying, a bad friend, a bad sibling(???? Somehow???), clearly not understanding chracter what arcs are for🤦‍♀️that kinda stuff yknow?

I don't have a lot of time to try to explain my thoughts on why I think that is and such more in depth atm but in the most general way I've just observed people just not really grasping his character very well and yknow... bashing him for stupid things. Like what unfortunately happens to characters that don't really deserve it sometimes, but thankfully it's been fewer and farther between over time.
