You know what? Over on my A Tennantcy To Act account on Bluesky, I post interesting and/or rare glimpse from my archives - sometimes textual, sometimes audio or visual - which involves our lovely Scot, David Tennant.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was signed in 1948 to declare and protect the rights of all people. To celebrate its 60th, Lincoln Children's Books/Amnesty International published a children's book: We Are All Born Free: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Pictures in 2008.

The book brought together thirty-one world-renowned artists to illustrate each of the declaration's thirty articles.

David was asked to write the forward to the book.

She pretends to be a man to serve in Lord Hater's army and earn money for her not very lucky family (uneducated housewife mother, father who used to serve in the army, but during one operation his legs were torn off and he moves only in a wheelchair, and three younger siblings. Even though Mother Meursault works, it is not enough to pay for her father's treatment, save up for his prosthetics and for living).

YAY!!! MOM!!!!

She lives from paycheck to paycheck and for the sake of a small promotion is ready with a stoic expression on her face to take on such tasks that any normal watchdog under pain of death will not take (for example, to play with Captain Tim /j, who will allow her that).
