Here, she uses Makocchan (Makoto), Kiyotan (Kiyotaka), Hifumin (Hifumi), Chiitan (Chihiro), and Oogachin (Oogami).

This is a simple line but the when and where of it speaks volumes. This is before a class trial and Genocide Jack is hyping Makoto up for the upcoming battle they will work together in.

Genocide Jack knows she's innocent and what little information she knows of the double body murder is that Makoto is very likely not the killer, and thus she's putting her trust in Makoto to figure things out and she's going to work with him. The "Let's do it!" she says makes it pretty clear that they are a team.

Now I will clarify that Genocide Jack being a team player doesn't mean she's doing any of the heavy lifting in terms of mystery solving, Kyoko and Byakuya cover that front better than she can. But what Genocide Jack does do during the trial is not interject the discussion with her own theories or throw out accusations left and right. She sits back and supports the discussion that is heading towards the truth. She makes a few jokes here and there but she doesn't try to derail the trial off track that might led everyone to vote the wrong person. Genocide Jack plays support in trials and is happy doing this role as she isn't quite good at mystery solving herself. (I should do a full analysis of Jack in trial 3 to show examples of this.)

What's so interesting about Genocide Jack trusting Makoto now is that it's still only chapter 3. She's only seen Makoto bring a class trial to the right conclusion once, while everyone still alive have seen him do this twice. Genocide Jack trusts Makoto more than Kyoko trusts Makoto at this point in the story.

In love with these two and all the trauma they slog along with them. It's something about how syo's sole aim is to protect toko, and if that means taking the pain, taking the hate, and taking the jobs that need doing, then that is what syo will do. It's something about how toko hates syo, blames syo, hides syo. It's something about how syo accepts it because it's his job after all. I think they both need therapy.

Id like to think that when all is said and done syo gets to experience a life that isn't just brutal erm, "task management" (yk. murder.), and toko gets to live a life that's not just hiding in fear of yourself. They should both get to be happy, I think.

At an impasse because on one hand I like drawing Toko as like, really lanky and scrawny cause the shapes and vibe with her outfit makes my brain itch good. But also i think it'd be really funny if because of Syo and all the stuff she does in UDG, Toko is just really buff, but never shows it because of the way she dresses and presents herself. Like I know i can just draw both but which do i draw first and what do i make my primary headcanon. I'm bad at multitasking in this one specific way.

Like i know DR is not a very realistic series, if the whole everything didn't tip that off. But in my brain it makes the most sense that beyond the eye color change a lot of Toko and Syo's physical traits are shared and it's just a matter of personal presentation. So like if Syo is really physically strong then Toko is also strong but doesn't really make that clear. Same with the teeth, but also that might just be my bias because i think characters with Sharp Teeth are cool, so why not make one of my favorite and most cherished characters of all time also have sharp teeth if there's an excuse kbdkfsdhkdfsbak
