Can. Can you please do #11 with the Fang AU?
11. "Just keep breathing. In and out. You're doing great." (Minor warning for blood and injury).
Hamato Leonardo knew himself to be a turtle of many enviable talents. Out-of-this-world charisma, rugged good looks, hilarious, a tactical mind, and a resourceful field medic. The whole package. Except, he was not a scientist. He'd never had the patience or the attention span for fiddly formulas, obsessive note-taking, and tedious repetition needed for an experiment to be successful. As the team’s leader and face man, Leo thrived in the gray, mixing information and spontaneity, tweaking and twisting to ensure the outcome he wanted came to pass. Science was Donnie's world. His egg-headed twin thrived in black and white; relying on repetition, craved clearly defined variables, delighting in percentiles and predictability. That was what balanced them in the end, what made them tick as twins. Brainiac and face man, street smarts and book smarts, innovation and invention.
And maybe that was why he was struggling now, sitting hunched over his secret pile of medical books, scowling as he compared them to the ones April had brought from the library. Squinting at tiny, cramped print as his head pounded, forcing eyes crusted from lack of sleep to open to absorb the paragraphs detailing anatomy, herpetology, and epidemiology, alongside pictures that were various degrees of uselessness. This was Donnie’s world, and maybe he would have enjoyed this torment. Maybe, his twin could make sense of these "viral counts" and "impact percentiles ". Maybe, if his twin weren't strapped to the bed behind him, delirious and writhing in pain, they could have already fixed whatever this thing was.
"Shell," Leo groaned, throwing down his pencil as one hand rose to rub his tired eyes.
He was going to get crow's feet and fine lines from glaring at these useless books, things he could (loudly) tolerate if they were to result in a solution to whatever plaguing their purple brother. But they hadn’t so far. Days of effort, nights of burning well past the midnight oil, and all he had to show for his efforts was a splitting headache and a massive collection of unwashed tea mugs. None of Donnie's symptoms matched with anything detailed in the textbooks, or CDC and WHO websites. Given the creepy level of the lab they'd wreaked, it wasn’t truly that surprising, even if it was frustrating. There was, shockingly, not a lot of published research on mutants, let alone their illnesses or immune systems. But, illnesses didn't just come out of nowhere! He didn't need a fancy piece of paper or a Donnie-level IQ to know that. Whatever was ailing Donnie had to be documented somewhere. But he was a field medic for pizza's sake! He knew how to set bones, sew up cuts, and head off infections. Not cellular biology!
Throwing his hands up in defeat, he slouched back into his desk chair. Maybe Mikey was right. Maybe it was time to call in Draxum, much as Leo would rather eat a bucket of nails or light fire to all his limited-edition JJ comics than say it out loud. Mad scientist psycho or not, the Yokai understood a lot more than Leo did, in this one area anyway. And while they were at it, maybe they’d been looking at things all wrong. If a science-based solution wasn’t available, maybe a mystic solution could help? It would be the most delicious kind of irony, given Donnie’s historic skepticism of anything mystical or magical. Maybe their father could take a trip to the mystic library, or they could send one of the Casey’s to Witch Town. So long as they didn't drop Donnie's name in any conversations it would probably be...
A pained snarl cut through his thoughts, and he whirled the chair around to find Donnie bucking against his restraints, head thrown back in a terrible arc as he gasped for air.
"Whoa! Easy D!" Leo exclaimed, jumping out of his seat to reach for the oxygen mask and tank that April and Casey Jr had kindly "liberated" from April's school following the Krang invasion. "Just keep breathing Dontron, in and out."
His twin hissed in response, pants deepening to a guttural growl as Leo approached and attempted to press the mask over Donnie's nose and mouth.
"Come on man, you're doing great. This is going to help you do even better, so chill out a little and I'll-"
Faster than lightning Donnie struck, neck muscles stretched and strained as he ducked around the mask and sunk his teeth deep into the flesh of Leo's forearm.
"OW!" Leo yelled, the oxygen mask slipping from his fingers as they spasmed open in shock. "Dee, let go!"
Donatello snarled in reply, sharp teeth sinking and shredding as his jaws clamped down on Leo's limb.
"Get OFF!" Leo bellowed, jamming the thumb of his free hand into the pressure point just behind the soft shell’s jaw. It took way longer than it should have for Donatello’s teeth to release him, too many long, painful seconds before Leo could pull his arm away and stumble back a step from the bed, cradling his injured limb close. Torn flesh burned against the open air, pain licking out from fingertip to elbow while small crimson streams braided into rivers as they raced across his skin to follow gravity to the floor.
“What the shell?!” Leo snapped, free hand clamping down over the injury as he stumbled towards the cabinet that held their stock of bandages.
Donnie hissed again in reply, and Leo had to fight the urge to cringe away from the way his blood smeared across his brothers lips and chin, the way it painted his sharp teeth when said lips peeled back in a snarl. Dark eyes followed every jerky move as he fumbled with trying to disinfect and wrap the wound with one hand, breaths hitching as the pain in his arm built, creeping like the most agonizing ivy towards his shoulder. Slitted predator pupils zeroed in one the…wait…Donnie didn’t have slitted pupils. None of them did. Their eyes had always been human…
“What the…”
He didn’t get the chance to finish the sentence. Between one breath and the next the pain exploded, lancing up his neck and spearing deep into his chest. His jaw snapped shut around a cry as every nerve in his body seemed to simultaneously go up in flames, numb and useless legs folding like a house of cards as he hit the concrete floor of the med bay. He tried to break his fall, but his body failed to respond to any desperate command his brain tried to send. He tried to call for help, or maybe just scream, but his lungs couldn’t pull in the air he needed. He was trapped, a silently writhing vessel slowly filling up with pain.

MINORS DO NOT READ!
He watched through the window of Jaehyun's study. It was around six o'clock in the morning when you lay your head. You had paced back and forth in your bedroom all night. Soaked from the rain you showered and changed into more comfortable clothes. You continued to pace the room making your way downstairs to check the lock. Doyoung knew it would be hard gaining your trust but he had to try. You were his last hope.
He tapped his finger on his chin as he paced the empty study. Different potions in vials and bottles on selves. The easiest solution to this plan would be to have you drink a love potion and you'd become so in love with him that you'd become obsessed. But he'd never do that. He wanted you to love him for who he is and what he is. Of course, you couldn't love a monster, no one could. But maybe you could learn to like him, and maybe just maybe fall in love with him if he did his best.
He had spent the whole night coming up with different plans to woah you. When his fingers tapped his lips he remembered the brief kiss you two shared before he told you what he is. He smiled feeling the softness of his lips letting his eyes shut for a moment as he pictured your lips on his. It was truly magical. No spell in the world could give him the euphoric feeling you gave him yesterday after the kiss you shared. He knew you had only done it because of what he is. Naturally, like everyone else, you were drawn to him, a symptom of the disease he carried in his body. But he'd like to think you did it because he desired him.
"That's it." he snapped his fingers. He had finally come up with a plan to gain your trust. It may not work but he had to try. His efforts would certainly not go to waste. He collected his things and marched out of Jaehyun's study. He continued marching down the hall to the large steps leading to the main floor. He skipped down the stairs watching as two staff walked over to him. One opened a case of sunglasses putting them on Doyoung's head shielding his eyes. The other put on his jacket fixing it as rolled up his sleeves. Then Irene appeared from the corner holding a black umbrella. Doyoung smiled as he fixed the front of his jacket. "This plan will work. I know it will," He said taking the umbrella from Irene. She widened her eyes rarely ever showing emotions but the sudden act caught her off guard.
"Do not fret my dear Irene. I will handle myself and follow through with my plan alone. It would be better that way I assumed," he said walking past her to the large doors of the manor. Two staff opened them exposing the sun that began to rise in the West. He hummed opening the umbrella and stepping outside. It wasn't a long walk to your house and surely you were up by now.
You were beginning to wake up at the sound of your cat, Lucy meowing. Her tiny paws patted your face lightly hitting your skin. She meowed getting louder each time waking you up. You squinted your eyes at the sunlight that appeared through your window. You jolted awake looking around to see that you were safe in your bedroom. You stood up pulling your curtains shut just before checking seeing nobody watching you from the window. You sighed in contempt and made your way to the bathroom. Just as you finished brushing your teeth your doorbell rang. The small ring makes you jump. Ever since last night, you've been completely on edge, and rightfully so. You had survived a trio of vampires in less than an hour, the timing was pretty impressive the situation not so much, at least to you.
The toothbrush still hung in your mouth as the doorbell rang again. You shut the water off and placed your toothbrush inside the container near your sink. You dried off your mouth and hands exiting the bathroom. Wearing your slippers you walked downstairs quietly making sure to not make a sound. What if one of them came back? What if they can hear you breathing? You asked yourself. You covered your hand over your mouth and made your way to your peephole. Your eyes widened in fear seeing a man standing outside carrying an umbrella. It has to be one of them. You looked again seeing him reach for the doorbell. He let out a sigh.
"Y/n I know you behind the door. Please do not be afraid," He said placing a hand on the door but didn't knock. "I just want to explain myself to you, but first I really want you to trust me," He said letting his head fall. The sun began to rise higher in the sky. Doyoung was running out of time. The umbrella wouldn't protect his whole body for long. He began to panic his leg shaking as he turned to the door.
"Y/n I know you are frightened by us, but please let me make sense of this," He said a slight plea in his tone. You gulped holding your hand above the lock. "How can I trust you?" you asked. His head perked up at the sound of your voice. "If I wanted to cause you harm don't you think I would have done it when I saw you two years ago? Or when we were alone in the garden?" He asked eyes on your door. He could feel the sun starting to rise but he held on. He needed you to trust him, even in the slightest.
"Y/n I know you do not trust us now. You have every right to. I deceived you long enough and I chose to not do so anymore. You deserve the truth and I want to give that to you," He said honestly. He looked towards the sun that sat brightly in the sky. "Also if you do not open the door I will burn," He said. You chew your lip. Can you trust him? He had a point he would have killed you if he wanted to. But maybe he just liked toying with his food. While that didn't seem like Doyoung you also just found out he's a vampire, so most things didn't seem like Doyoung anymore. Lucy rested at your ankles rubbing her head against you. Usually, if Lucy sensed danger she'd hiss but she was perfectly fine. You trusted her and her sense. With a final breath, you opened the door exposing an exhausted Doyoung who collapsed the minute the door swung open.
Pieces of his jacket burned through and red patches on his skin. You gasped holding your hand over your mouth. Doyoung had fallen to the side on his face. His foot tripped over a rock placed near your door as he went to turn to leave. You reached down pulling him inside with all the strength you had. You gritted your teeth as you pulled him inside and brought him to your well-cleaned first-floor bathroom.
You couldn't believe this. Carrying a weak vampire through your living room into your bathroom. You placed him on the ground gently sure to not hit his head. You opened the bathroom door dragging him inside. He grunted opening his eyes slightly. "Y/n…?" he asked adjusting to the room. You placed your hands on your hips. "I don't exactly know how to help you. I've never dealt with this kind of issue b before," Your eyes followed down his face to his legs then back up. He shook his head standing up. He waved his hand and then dusted himself off the floor. "I'll be fine," He went to walk out, and you winched seeing the burns on his back.
"Doyoung your back is…" The words died on your tongue as the marks began to heal. You shook your head following him out to the living room. He sat on a nearby chair letting out a huff. "Your back is healed," You said wide eyes standing behind him to see the wounds that hadn't even left a scar. You reached out to touch his back but pulled your hand back. "It is alright. You can touch me," He said. You chewed your lip slowly letting your hand draw closer. The tips of your fingers hovered over a spot on his lower back where one of the larger burns used to be. Your warm fingers touched it feeling the coolness of his back.
"It doesn't hurt, right?" you asked touching his cold back. He shook his head not moving an inch away from you. "Not at all," he responded enjoying your warm touch on his back. You pulled your hand back moving to stand in front of him. He fixed his posture no longer slouching in his seat. "You wanted to explain everything to me, so go ahead. But I can't promise I won't freak out or ask a lot of questions," you said avoiding his eyes. He smiled nodding his head pieces of his dark hair falling. He removed his sunglasses to get a better look at your face still swollen from the early morning. You rubbed your eyes still trying to function after a few hours of sleep.
"I fully understand," he said. "I do not wish to scare you with my explanation, please feel free to stop me when you need a break," He said. His words made you nervous. How intense was his story that it might scare you? You sat down next to him your body facing his. Your arm landed on the table leaning on it. You sighed nodding ready for him to explain.
"So you are a prince?" you asked. He nodded, "Yes. Well maybe not anymore, it's been quite a long time," he said. You nodded poking the inside of your mouth with your tongue. You were taking in every detail you could get. "Why did you move next door to me?" You asked. "It can't be because you're a fan. I didn't see my book in your manor," You said proud of yourself for having such a sharp eye. He chuckled ruffling his hair. "I suppose I will be honest with you if I want you to trust me," he said. "Me and my brothers having been searching for a cure," he said. You squinted your eyes, your brows furrowed. "A cure? You're sick? How you're a vampire," You asked.
He sighed "This is a disease that we have. It's a curse in disguise of a blessing. Its saved many lives including my own but only temporarily. What we become when we drink the blood of the infected human is evil. A monster in human disguise. I mean we can live forever, indeed. However we die every day we can not live or die," he said his teeth gritting. His head fell remembering all the pain he's been through and caused in his long empty life. "We will forever appear young too and healthy too. We can not catch any illness, not even a common cold. We can not freeze or burn unless we are in the sun. Only the moon knows what I've done," he said the last part to himself.
"What does that have to do with me? I don't have a cure to reverse you if that's what you're looking for," you said beginning to feel comfortable with the way Doyoung was not only staring at you but hinting you were a 'cure' to a disease he and his brothers shared. He shook his head taking your hands in his. "But you do dear Y/n. You hold rare blood in your veins. Blood purer than a virgin in a white dress," he said a hungry look in his eyes. You quickly pulled your hands away from his cold grip. He realized his aggressiveness and placed his hands on his lap.
He bowed his head to you. "Forgive me, please. I have gotten a little too excited," he said keeping his head down to you. You rubbed your hands together to keep warm. You nodded watching as he slowly picked his head back up. "It's alright just control yourself," he nodded fixing his jacket. "Yes my apologize I seem to have forgotten myself," he apologized again. Silence fell upon the two of you. Doyoung waiting for you to speak so that he could speak. "About the cure," You said waiting for him to get to the point. You were starting to become frustrated with the lack of explanation he was giving. He nodded, "Right right, I'm sorry," he apologized again.
"Stop apologizing," you said stopping him with your hand.
"I'm sorry- I mean," he huffed collecting his thoughts. "I wasn't lying when I said we were fans. We went to New York when you held a book signing. He each purchased a book, you probably don't remember us. You sighed mine first, then Jaehyun's and lastly you had signed Yuta's. He was the one that smelled you, accidentally sometimes we can't help ourselves. He told us your scent was different, one he had only smelled once before in his life," he said. You became a lot more interested in what he was saying really paying attention to each detail.
"He spoke of a friend who bit the neck of a woman one late night outside of a pub. The pub had fallen silent at the sight of her body falling to the hard ground. The next morning he become a mortal man again," He said hopeful. "He died only a few short years after and never walked the Earth again," he said. Your eyes widened shaking your head. "So not only do you want to die. You want to bite me?!" you said stepping out of your chair and back from him. He shook his head coming towards you. "No no, do not be mistaken," he said pausing his steps. "We do not want to bite you, I mean if you'd let us we would but we will not. Just a drop of your blood will turn us mortal again," he said in an attempt to persuade you. You shook your head still confused. "And then you die?" you asked.
"Only of natural causes," he said. You let out a sigh, "And you want my help," He nodded biting the side of his lip, "More than anything," he said.
"You are our last hope," he said a plea in his tone this time.
"Just a drop of blood?" you asked. He nodded the feeling of hope bubbling up through his throat. “Well yes but you can not just pour it for us to drink,” he said. “Then how does it work?” You asked. “There is an incantation that must be said in order for the transition to work,” he said tapping the table. “Jaehyun knows the spell. He will be the one to perform the transition,” he said. “And all I have to do is give some blood?” You asked again just to make sure. He nodded “Precisely,” he responded. “And this transition will make you human,” you said and he nodded again. “From monster to man,” he said.
He had waited decades, centuries for this moment. Finding a person who smelled of the purest blood gifted by God herself. You were the key to their life. The completion of a never-ending cycle, to live and die. The disease had disobeyed the rules of God and Doyoung no longer wanted to go against her rules and instead live like a man and die like one, like his brothers.
"You do not have to rush," He said reassuring you of a decision you hadn't even made yet. "Besides I want you to hear their stories before you gift me anything," he said bowing his head to you. Still at a loss for words you stuttered. Your mind went blank for a moment. Something still felt off, a missing piece to this puzzle. But you couldn't bring yourself to ask any questions. Your mind is foggy and your train of thought is lost. You decided against it for the time being and continued to ask Doyoung questions that didn't regard blood-sucking or biting. Instead of learning about different parts of history.
Doyoung was more than pleased to answer all of your questions.
-------
Weeks Later…
You had began to spend more time with Doyoung not as afraid of him anymore. He had turned out to be a real gentleman and was treated like a princess. Which could be because of his past or your magic blood. Whatever the case was it didn't bother you. It was nice to have someone treat you the way you deserve.
"So tell me again, what does this do?" he asked pointing to your microwave. You chuckled snorting in the mix. Embarrassed you covered your face with your hand. You had never done that but his question seemed too silly to you. The man has been around for more decades than the Revolutionary War and didn't know what a microwave was. He laughed beside you dressed down for the first time since you've begun spending time together. He always wore slacks and dress shoes. Nice blazers with a black undershirt. He also smelled amazing (Which hasn't changed). Now he wore jeans for the first time ever since you bought them for him after celebrating the launch of your second book. You had a party for the release and wanted him to dress more casually which he complied to do, his brothers teasing him in the mix.
"Okay okay," you calmed yourself down. "It heats up your food faster than a stove," you said walking off to grab a bag of popcorn. "Watch," you said placing the bag inside and clicking the popcorn button. He watched in amazement. He couldn't believe such a small machine could possibly cook anything, but it did. He jumped at the small pops of kernels that became popcorn. "How peculiar," he said as the beep went off indicating the time had ended. You pulled the bag out of the microwave careful not to burn yourself. You poured it into a nearby bowl. Doyoung watched with wide eyes as popcorn began to spill into the bowl.
"So," you began as you threw away the empty bag. "How come you don't know about a microwave or toaster ovens?" you asked walking into the living room. Doyoung followed behind you. You sat on the couch pouring two glasses of wine. The bottle sat on the coffee table with two wine glasses. Doyoung sat down beside you. "Well, the eras ended for me when we reached the forties. I traveled more than anyone and decided it was time to rest. I guess I was resting for too long," he said. "Jaehyun a sorcerer, a much more modern term would be a scientist. My brother never grew tired of exploring. He would tell Yuta and I of the new trinkets he'd find in his searches," He smiled at the memories of him and his brothers using Jaehyun's findings throughout their lives.
"Wait wait wait" you paused Doyoung whose smile began to fade from the happy memories. He returned back to reality at the sound of your voice. He turned his face to you slightly craning his neck. "Yes?" he asked you. "Jaehyun is a wizard?" you had to make sure you had heard that clearly. A sorcerer on a mission around the world. Doyoung chuckled shaking his head. He fixed his body to face yours. Your elbow held your head up, leaning on the couch. Doyoung picked one leg up laying it flat on your couch relaxing in his seat. "Jaehyun is a scientist to today's standards. He's a brilliant man with decades of work to prove it. He's been to many different colleges as well, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Stanford, Columbia, Cambridge, Oxford, and so many others. He's changed his identity many times to attend so many different schools," he said sounding proud of his young brother.
"And what about you?" you asked. Doyoung had talked about his brothers most of the time. You were curious about him. You had only known of his transformation but nothing of his past, before he became what he is and what he did after. "Me?" he questioned. Doyoung had never been asked about himself. His past didn't allow him to be in a position of weakness. "Yes, you. I'd like to know more about you," you said lightly touching his arm. He blushed at the light, warm touch of your fingers.
He cleared his throat feeling a small pit form in his stomach. What was this feeling? He had never felt this kind of knot in his throat and a ball in his stomach. He stood up clenching his throat with his hand. "If you excuse me, I must use the restroom," he said excusing himself and walking towards your bathroom not too far from the living room.
Odd you thought. How odd Doyoung is sometimes. Maybe he had gotten nervous to speak to you. You thought as you waited for him to come back. You smiled playing with the ends of your shirt. You knew Doyoung liked you. It was obvious, practically written on his face. When you heard the sink turn off you looked away from the bathroom door you didn't know you were watching. Doyoung returned taking a sip of his wine once he sat down. "I apologize Y/n, I didn't mean to be so abrupt with my exit," he said fixing his shirt. You shook your head, "It's alright. But I want you to know you do not have to be nervous," you said placing your hand over his. He looked down at your hand then glanced up looking into your eyes.
You felt the same feeling again that you had felt the night before. The night you kissed Doyoung with no thought of consequence in mind. You felt that same feeling rising in you again. Your hand slowly creeps up his forearm. Doyoung gulped watching your hand crawl gently up his skin. "Y/n," he tried to call, to warn you of the dangers of this leading any further. He tried to warn himself as well to control his body and mind. He smells enticing, sweet, and nostalgic. And you to him smelled fresh and young, your blood sweet. He knew he couldn't have you that way. The power you held over his body, he'd lose his mind in a matter of seconds. He touched your hands pulling you back. "Y/n," he warned himself again. He sighed slightly squeezing your hands in his grip. "I haven't…" he let the words fall off his tongue. "Nevermind," he shook his head. He turned away from you embarrassed. You followed him touching his shoulders. "What's wrong?" you asked concerned for him. His face turned red from what you could see.
"You asked me about me and I'd like to tell you," he said sending you a smile. You nodded sitting back in your seat. He followed your body and relaxed next to yours. "As you know I was a prince for a large part of my life. I was taught how to fight, serve and protect so that I could become king. The woman I married I had never met before. I did not love her, but the throne needed an air. I was convinced the late queen and she gave birth to a son. I grew ill shortly after his birth of a cold my body not yet advanced enough to fight. Yuta as you know transitioned me. Years later I searched for my son. The throne no longer mattered it me, honestly it never did. I just wanted to make sure he was taken care of. The queen had passed on and my son was alone. I felt sorry for him until I saw the beautiful woman on his arm. He became king and found his queen. Having many children surrounding them," He smiled a tear forming in his eye. You handed him a tissue to wipe his tears. "He had a love match and I couldn't be more happy for him. My son didn't need me and even though I watched him from afar, I knew he was okay,"
"Is that why death doesn't bother you?" you asked. "Not only was your son taken care of. Through him you can still live forever," Doyoung smiled nodding his head. You understood him better than his brothers did at this moment. "Before you passed you had a son. he carried out your line passing it on through his children and their children. As long as the Kim line lives, you live forever," you said feeling hopeful for Doyoung. "Precisely," he said a smile evident on his face.
"Why were you so nervous before?" you asked. He sighed, "I never shy away from speaking of my son. Most women do not want to date a man with a child," he said. You didn't mind even if his son was with him. Doyoung was a good man and that's what mattered most to you. He is sweet, such a gentleman, and nice to look at. Doyoung smiled, he could hear the thoughts in your mind. He decided not to tell you so as to not ruin the moment. "Doyoung," you said just above a whisper touching his hand. "Yes?" he asked his voice beginning to fall. "Do you remember the night before when I kissed you," you asked a teasing undertone in your voice. You batted your eyelashes at him. "Yes," he responded swallowing hard. That same lingering feeling appeared in your mind and stomach. Doyoung holding you in a trance like Yuta had the night you danced at the ball for hours. Why couldn't your mind calm when they were around you? They hadn't cast a love spell on you. So why was he so enticing? You were losing sense in his presence.
"Y/n before we continue I must warn you of something," he said his eyes falling shut. You kissed his neck and jaw slowly letting your tongue longer over his sweet spot. He let out an earthy moan as your lips touched and sucked on his skin. He warned himself to be gentle with you. He was much more powerful than you were and could kill you if he wasn't careful about his strength. If he were a mortal man he could have let you do your worse with him. Use his body in any way you desired, to please yourself. But being a vampire created a much more intense scene for the two of you. "I am very, uh…" You sucked a little harder on his skin. "Stronger than the average man and I know you desire men because of what I am but I do not think I can continue. I would be more than angry with myself If I hurt you-" He was hushed by you. Doyoung's eyes were still fluttered shut. Long lash faintly resting on his flushed cheeks.
He slowly opened his eyes lips pursed. "Y/n…I want to, I really do but I would feel better if you were my lady before we moved forward," he confessed. You thought about it, about him. You nodded sending him a gorgeous smile. "If you want me to be yours, I will. I like you a lot Doyoung, even if I'm still shocked about you being a vampire. I would not mind spending time with you," you responded to his confession. You aspected him to be thrilled, to kiss you even. Instead, he stood up shaking his head. You stood up beside him touching his shoulder. He brushed you off taking your hands and gently placing them back down. "Y/n I am not the only one to desire you," he said his head facing down. You raised a brow pulling your hands away from him.
"What are you talking about?" you asked. He sighed shameful in his confession. He had never shared a woman with his brothers. They had never even spoken about it until now. "My brothers they have their hearts set on you as well," he said the truth spilling from his tongue. You shook your head but were not surprised by his words. Instead, you chuckled "I had my suspicions Doyoung," you said. he lifted his head raising his brows. "What?" he questioned. You picked up your glass of wine taking a sip. You sat back on the couch Lucy jumping into your lap. She curled up as you pet her softly, purring against your stomach.
"I'm not stupid Doyoung. I knew your brothers were into me the minute I saw you all watching me through the window," you said. Doyoung turned to face you still shocked by your words. "You knew of us?" he asked. You shook your head. "I knew someone was watching me, I didn't know who and when you showed up to my door to deliver one mask on the night of the ball I knew," Doyoung scoffed rubbing his temples. He blushed chuckling to himself. He covered his lips his smile only peering through when his hands would move. "Was I that obvious?" he asked. He didn't even try to hide it. There was no point in doing so. You already knew of his and his brother's feelings for you. There so no point in hiding or holding back anymore.
He sat down on the couch beside you his eyes on you. "Doyoung I want you and if you want me you can have me too," the tone in your voice had changed. Your words lingered with a hint of tease. Doyoung no longer wanted to be held under control. The temptation that flowed through the room he could no longer withstand. He is whole life followed the orders of others, including his older brothers. Tonight he no longer wanted to follow his rules and decided he even wanted to break his own. "Y/n" he called. "May I kiss you?" he asked. You smiled leaning closer to him. "You may do more than just kiss me," you responded. Doyoung wasted no time capturing his lips with yours. His hand find the back of your head holding you in his arm. The other lay on you respectively on the couch. You sighed pulling him closer to you wrapping your arms around his neck drawing his lips as close as you could. Your tongue poked his lips and he moved his mouth your tongue slipping past his heart-shaped lips. “Doyoung don’t be afraid I can handle it,” you said against his lips. You looked deeply into his eyes his lips coded with a shade of red. “Are you sure?” He had to ask just to make sure you didn’t change your mind.
You nodded biting your lip. Your eyes move away from his and to his lips. He growled lifting you off the couch and carrying you in his lean arms. “Where is your bedroom?” He asked lips dangerously close to yours. Man, you smelled so sweet to him. He wanted to rip you apart right there, so he did. He placed you down pushing you up against the wall. Your head fell rather hard from his force. You didn’t mind though to lose in the moment to break away.
He kissed your lips roughly, kissing down your jaw and neck. Your blood ran slightly cold when his tongue licked over your neck. Doyoung sensed it immediately and stepped back. “Y/n I promise I will not bite you,” he said sternly but a calm undertone in his voice. You nodded deciding to trust him. “You can bite me, just don’t take too much,” you said. Doyoung’s eyes glowed at the thought of sucking his teeth into you. He licked his lips, he wondered if you tasted as sweet as you smelled.
“You wouldn’t mind?” He asked wanting to hear your words of consent again. You nodded tilting your head to the side. He leaned forward lips hovering over your sweetest spot. “I must warn you Y/n,” his voice had dropped a couple of octaves. His eyes changed color as your scent grew lingering under his nose. He was so close he could practically taste you. His brothers would envy him if they knew what he was about to do to you. “It is very intimate. It will hurt at first for you but it will soon become pleasurable. It will feel good for us both just differently,” he said. “How so?” You asked. He chuckled darkly. “Well you’d be feeding me,” he licked his lips. He brought his index finger from your neck drawing small circles on the spot and moved down your chest. “You feel a shock throughout your body and you're a tickle in your nerves, including,” his hand palmed you outside your leggings. You moaned still staring at him, his eyes a normal brown.
“Here,” he said licking his teeth like a hungry dog. His eyes had changed to black. “I promise you I will be gentle,” He launched forward kissing you again, and moved his way down to your neck. His fangs spurted out as he sank them inside you. Your head fell back eyes falling shut. You felt the pinch in your neck, similar to when you move your head the wrong way and your nerve pinches you. You squeezed your eyes shut fists forming into small balls. Your knuckles turned white from the grip you held.
Then it changed. Your fist fell and your mouth fell open. Your eyes fluttered open to see Doyoung launched into your neck. You turned away closing your eyes again letting out an earthy moan. A sound you had never made before. You no longer felt his teeth, your mind falling into pure bliss. You felt the shock and then the tickle throughout your body. He groaned repeatedly against your skin. His hips rutted into the air. Your blood is a true delicacy. It was more than sweet it was gratifying. He felt drunk off your blood, especially when you began to moan above him once the pinch had faded away.
You started to feel tired. Doyoung was still sucking you below. “Doyoung,” you whispered patting his shoulder. You had, had enough of this and started to feel doozy. “Doyoung!” You said a little louder. He was instantly pulled off by the sound of your voice. Your blood was evident on the sides of his mouth. He wiped his lips with his tongue humming at the taste of you. He stepped away handing you a glass of water. You drank the entire thing feeling your body return to its normal state. He hadn’t taken too much so your recovery was short-lived.
“Apologies if I hurt you. Here,” he placed a bandage on your neck. “Will I be like you?” You asked. He shook his head, “No I only took but did not give,” he said smiling. You nodded smiling as well.
“Now let me give you what you deserve,” he said catching your attention. He picked you up again smiling as he looked into your eyes. “Your bedroom?” You pointed to the stairs and he effortlessly carried you up to your bedroom. (His strength on of his abilities as a vampire). He kicked open the door placing you on your bed. He removed his jacket from his arms placing it on a nearby reading chair. You smiled seeing his lean arms on display. The black t-shirt is tight around his biceps. The veins on his forearm are displayed to you as well. He stepped closer kneeling on your bed. His hands formed two fists on either side of your body. He leaned down kissing you and you held his face kissing him back.
You sat up pulling over a shirt over his head. His eyes widened at your chest, even though covered with a bra he couldn’t help but blush. “You are beautiful,” he compliments eyes moving your body to your eyes. He leaned forward capturing your lips. “Wait,” he said. “What?” You asked. He stood up walking over to the window. He shut the curtain making sure his brothers could not see you like this. You chuckled rolling your eyes playfully.
He walked back pulling his shirt over his head. Your fingers danced on his chest smiling as you leaned in for another heated kiss. He pulled you closer kissing down your neck. He kissed the bandaid on your neck softly then moved to your collarbone. His skillful fingers found the back of your bra removing it from your skin. He placed it on the side moving to your leggings. During your heated kiss, you bit his button lip pulling it with your teeth when he tried to pull away. Doyoung growled an animal-like growl. His hands were on either side of your leggings as he stopped them apart. Your eyes widened seeing the black fabric in his hands. He blinked a couple of times lost. “Doyoung-“
“I am sorry. I don’t know what came over me,” he said. You shook your head feeling the wetness pool in your panties. His chest heaved up and down as he looked over at you. You pulled your panties down and he dropped the ripped fabric to the side. He licked his lips taking hold of your underwear and ripping those too. He threw them away roughly spreading your legs open. He licked a long stride on your slit. You moaned watching as he tasted you. He made another lick and then another seeing you frustrated from the teasing. He could not have you unsatisfied now. He used his fingers to spread your lips. His mouth finds your clit sucking and licking on the bundle of nerves.
Your head fell back hand reaching down to grip onto his long black hair. He brought his other arm around your waist holding you down so you wouldn’t squirm away like you had. He pulled you back down forcefully holding you still. “Fuck,” you cursed at his abuse. His head shook vigorously his tongue flicking the nub. His tongue inching closer to your wet dripping hole. His tongue was at your entrance licking around the hole as his fingers played with your clit. “Fuck Doyoung please,” you begged. He chuckled a smirk on his face. His tongue moved inside your hole fucking you with the wet organ.
You rutted your hips against your face when his tongue moved to your clit again fingers finding their way inside you. Pumping in and out of you at an unholy speed. Fingers curved gracing your Gspot over and over. He was eating deliciously and it made you think you should have let him do it sooner. The man had many gifts and this was definitely one of them. Doyoung smirked at your thoughts. He was more than pleased to make you feel the utmost deserved pleasure. He wondered if Jeno could have made you feel this good then maybe you wouldn’t have gotten bored of him.
You felt your climax approaching. Your pussy clenching around Doyoung’s fingers. He couldn’t wait for you to clench around his cock like that. His hips fucking into your mattress. He felt himself grow hard the minute you let him bite you. The moment was very pleasurable for him. He groaned again thinking of your sweet taste. “Baby cum for me please so that I may taste you again,” he said bringing you to your end. You came all over his mouth feeling his tongue lick you up dry. He licked his lips and sucked on his fingers. He removed his jeans tossing them away. He pulled his boxer slightly down to pull out his dick. He gathered some of your wetness in his hand fisting himself with your juice.
The sight was dirty and hot. You brought your fingers down your clit as you watched him please himself with your cum mixing with his pre cum. Doyoung was never like this in bed. He was a gentle lover, never fucking just making love. But with you, he wanted to do everything. He wanted to make love to you just as much as he wanted to fuck you. You didn’t care what he did as long as he fucked you. You thought for a moment about Jeno. Jeno never made you feel this good. At the beginning of your relationship, he had. He was a good lover until you both started to slip away. He became lazy and bored. You were desperate for release but couldn’t cum when he touched you. It was truly horrible.
“Don’t think of him,” Doyoung said catching you off guard. “What?” You asked. He crawled towards you hovering tall above you. He shook his head slowly. “Do not think of him,” he said a hint of anger in his tone. He wasn’t mad at you, he was annoyed with Jeno. Such a sorry excuse for a man he thought. He hated he didn’t treat you well, the way you deserved to be treated, not worshipped. He also didn’t want you to think of him when he was about to fuck you. “How did you,”
“I can hear you, my love. I’ve always heard you,” he said coming closer to your lips. You knew vampires held abilities but you had only seen a few vampire movies and in the movies, not all could read minds! I guess the movies lied to you. You shook your head thinking of all the things Doyoung has probably heard. “Don’t worry I don’t listen to everything. Just right now I could hear you,” he said finishing his journey. “Desire me Y/n and I can give you the world,” he said. “Think of me and I can promise you the stars,” he said looking deeply into your eyes. His eyes began to turn yellow. You looked deeply into it and nodded.
“Doyoung I desire you,” you said and he smiled. He blinked and his eyes turned back to brown. You shook your head blinking a couple of times. You looked up seeing him again. He grabbed the back of your head kissing you passionately. He pulled his boxers all the way down aligning himself at your entrance. You didn’t have to worry about a condom. Doyoung can not get you pregnant and he also can not carry any disease. You are clean but even if you did have something he could not carry it. (You should still be clean though & him). He inched himself inside you looking into your irises.
He moaned as he looked down seeing himself inch further inside you. Once he sat comfortably in your velvet walls he waited for you to be ready. You tapped his shoulder and he began to move ding ding a rhythm that was perfect for the two of you. Once you both found it he thrust harder. You moaned aloud holding onto his biceps that flex under your grasp. His eyes looked back into yours as he fucked into you. Groans and cursing slipped from his lips his jaw slack. You squeezed around him arching your back off the bed. He gritted his teeth squeezing his eyes shut.
“Fuck Doyoung,” you moaned as he pulled you forward. You sat on his dick riding him chasing your own high. His hands found their way from your breast to your hips. He grinds you again with this cock. He couldn’t believe the sight in front of him. You looked so powerful so glorious sitting so high above him. He looked at you like you were his queen. He would do anything you asked. He would bow to you with the utmost respect and would feel his heart leap if all you did was spare him a glance because a glance in his direction let him believe he was important. But now seeing you use him for your own pleasure riding him to your liking all he could do was enjoy. So thankful to be in your presence. Thankful that you desire him just as much as he desires you.
“Fuck,” you cursed again. Doyoung sat forward molding your bodies together. You could feel the sweat beads form on your forehead falling down your body. Doyoung’s cool body helped with the added heat to yours. He hadn’t broken a sweat. “Doyoung please,” you begged. He was still being too sweet, like you’d break. He shook his head, he couldn’t let himself go. “Doyoung,” you begged again. You squeezed around him and he choked on a moan throwing your body down. Your head hit the pillow and he pulled out.
He pumped it into his hand. “You want me to he rough? Find I’ll give it to you,” he said ramming himself into at an incredible speed. The headboard slammed against the wall hard. The bed creaked so loud poor Lucy became worried downstairs. He fucked your hard and fast his hips slapping against yours. The sound of skin slapping and wet sounds filled the room. He brought his hands to your hips drilling into you. “Cum for me love. Show me how good I make you feel,” he groaned feeling you squeeze again. Just as you neared your climax you felt the bed fall from underneath you. Your body jerked eyes widened but the shock went away replaced with sweet release.
“That’s it, my love. Cum for me,” he coaxed rubbing circles around your clit with his fingers. Doyoung’s orgasm not far from yours he fucked into you harder. Picture frames on the wall began to fall to the ground. Your phone fell off the bedside table. He fucked you deeper into the mattress, your head pressing into the pillow. Your back began to hurt but you felt your third orgasm approaching and had no strength to tell him to stop. He leaned forward so hovering against yours. His brown but quick to black with a blink of an eye.
“Can I release in you?” He still had to ask you. After all, he’s still a gentleman. You nodded furiously holding onto his arm. He rubbed your clit again knowing how close you were. He released inside you painting your insides white. He slipped out of you falling onto the bed. He laid flat and forcefully pulled you closer spreading your legs. He fucked you with his tongue wasting no time with teasing. He made sure you were going to cum. He continued his assault while you raised from the bed. The pleasure is too much to handle, especially with Doyoung’s eagerness to get you off. Once you finally came Doyoung slipped out of your chest heaving.
Your chest heaved too. So exhausted you passed out. When you finally woke you noticed the change of scene. You rubbed your eyes adjusting to the darkness. You were in Doyoung’s bedroom alone. When you looked down you noticed you were wearing a shirt that wasn’t yours. You felt around looking for your phone. You found it on the bedroom nightstand. When you picked it up you saw it was the next day, the middle of the night. You sat up eyes widened in the slightest. Doyoung wasn’t in his room. You stood up feeling a pair of socks on your feet. You looked down, they were yours. You went to walk towards the door but fell.
“What the?…” you questioned. You tried to lift yourself from the ground but failed. You looked towards the open window seeing the night sky. You had also seen a chair. You dragged yourself to the chair allowing it to help you up. During your mission to stand you hadn’t heard the door open then close. Footsteps however caught your attention. The steps belonged to Doyoung who held a glass in his hand. He smiled placing it down then came to your side. He was dressed in a silk robe with slippers on his feet. He sat you down on his bed rubbing the small of your back.
He leaned forward handing you the hot cup of tea. “How are you feeling?” He asked watching as you sipped the tea. “Tired,” you said chuckling. Your half-opened eyes looked over at Doyoung. He had a glow to him, and it wasn’t just from the fire. He looked different, more alive. “What?” He questioned when your stares lingered for longer than you hoped. You shook your head, “Nothing I just think you're pretty,” you said. He gushed turning away. He cleared his throat fixing himself. “You are pretty. I am not pretty,” he said but you turned him to face you. “You are Doyoung. You are pretty,” you said sincerely Doyoung went to speak but was cut off.
“How cute,” Yuta said by the door. He stepped inside causing Doyoung to sigh. Yuta sat on the cause near the window close to Doyoung’s bed holding his own glass in his hand. “Relax brother I won’t be long just to send our dear Y/n the news,” he said smirking at his brother than you.
“What news?” You asked looking from Doyoung to him. He shrugged playing with the rim of the glass. “Your bed is broken thanks to Doyoung so we are letting you stay with us,” he said sipping the glass. You sat back placing the tea down. “You just assumed I’d stay here?” You questioned Yuta. He brought the tea down nodding. “I mean yes we can provide you with anything you need. Besides everyone else you know is too far,” he said. You glared at him. He was right. Everyone else was too far away from you and everything you needed was right across the street. Even though you could just sleep on your couch or the guest bedroom it would be nice to spend more time with Doyoung and maybe even his other brothers.
Yuta smirked bringing the cup back to his lips. “So it’s settled you’ll stay here until your bed is fixed,” he said. You looked over at Doyoung who smiled. “You may stay in my room if you’d like,” he offered taking your hand in his. He played with your knuckles tickling the skin. You giggled hiding your face. Doyoung chuckled as well, he adored you. “I hope you like it,” Yuta said cutting the moment short.
“Like what?” You asked. Yuta chuckled standing up and walking towards the door. “You're wearing my shirt baby,” he said before walking out and closing the door behind him. You widened your eyes attempting to take the shirt off out of respect for Doyoung. You thought too, if he was the one that put it on you, he probably saw you naked. That made you remove it even faster. Doyoung stopped you shaking his head. “He didn’t see you,” he assured you. “And secondly I thought it was mine, he must have switched them,” he said letting the fabric fall. You sighed rubbing your eyes and letting out a yawn.
You were glad Yuta hadn’t seen you topless but thought it was rude of him to just switch shirts. Did he not respect his brother? Doyoung seemed to always act differently around him. He spoke less and kept his head down. He avoided frustrating or making Yuta angry. Could there be a hidden rivalry between them? Is Jaehyun also sacred of his brother? So many questions with no answers. However, you kept a note in your mind, to watch what you saw around Yuta. You didn’t know what could set him off.
“Are you tired?” Doyoung asked taking you out of your thoughts. You shook your head, “Nope. I feel very well rested just my body aches,” you said rubbing your side. Doyoung blushed bowing his head. “My apologies I was not aware of my own strength,” you brushed him off. “I told you to stop saying your sorry. And besides I liked it,” you said leaning forward. He smiled looking into your eyes. “Yeah?” He asked also leaning forward. You smiled nodding your head, “Yeah,” he closed the gap between you two placing his lips on yours. You pulled him closer to you both of you falling into his bed.
“Maybe we should wait for your body to rest. I don’t want to rush you,” he said. You nodded you felt a pain in your back and decided rest would be best. “How about I run you a warm bath? I cleaned you at your place but a bath is always nice,” he said. You nodded placing your lips on his. “I’d like that thank you,” he said kissing you back. He stood up nodding, “Of course,” he walked off to his bathroom turning on the water. When he came back he lifted you up kissing you all over your face. You giggled trying to turn away. His lips tickled your skin. He closed the bathroom door helping you undress. More giggles coming from behind the door.
In Jaehyun’s passing, he heard them stopping for a moment. Jaehyun was noisy it’s how he knew everything all the time. He listened when people spoke to the very last detail. Even things that were unimportant he still paid attention believing the pieces could be useful later, like an unsolved puzzle. He also listened in when people were unaware of his presents. He smiled at your giggles. He had quickly grown to like you too. Seeing you come to their house more and letting him teach you about different subjects and spells in his room brought so much joy to his day.
Sometimes you’d quiz each other and you’d win. You were so intelligent and bright. You were strong-minded and quick-witted as well. He had gotten his heart broken a long time ago. He swore he’d never love again fearful of being hurt, lied and used like he was before. But you for the first time had come in like a breath of fresh air he so desperately needed. He wouldn’t lie he was scared to trust another with his heart again but with you, he was willing to try no matter how nervous it made it. He knew you were a good person and he trusted you enough to try.
He knew of your relationship with Jeno too. Jeno had hurt, lied, and used you. He understood exactly how you felt.
Which is why he needed you to trust him. Jaehyun walked away back into his room. He looked out the window that faced yours.
“I need you to trust me the way I trust you,” he said looking towards your window. To Be Continued… Bonus Scene I wrote because I like you guys. :) Yuta clicked his teeth with his tongue as he closed Jaehyun’s door. “One down two to go,” he said walking down the hallway. He pressed on a statue which revealed a hidden door. When the door opened he walked inside. The door had led to a flight of stairs that only traveled down. He stepped down the stairs turning on a light once he reached the end. He walked into the cellar down the stairs you had thrown the flashlight at him.
He rubbed his head at the memory. Once he walked down a couple more flights he reached the end the cool becoming warmer. He walked inside the dim room turning on the lights. The room became illuminated with bright lights showcasing a machine Jaehyun had built.
Yuta smirked tapping the cup of blood in his hands. “So close I can almost taste it,” he said bringing the cup to his lips. He eyes the machine like a prize. Licking his lips grabbing any access blood from the sides. “Soon we will finally be mortal. It’s all just a matter of time,” he said to himself. He felt a presence behind him. He turned around seeing Doyoung.
“Shouldn’t you be with her? Resting?” Yuta asked. Doyoung nodded. “She is asleep. She doesn’t know of my absent presence,” he said walking further inside and staring at the large machine.
“Are you sure this plan will work?” He asked. Yuta nodded taking a sip from his glass and then handing it to Doyoung. Doyoung sipped the blood. It tastes nearly as good as yours, not even close. He grimaced at the taste but hid his face from Yuta. He handed the cup back to his brother. “Do not worry I have it all under control,” he said licking his lips.
“Soon we will be human. And she is the price we are going to have to pay,” he said darkly. Doyoung felt his throat dry and his body runs cold. He still didn’t know of Yuta’s plan, only small details he spilled when Jaehyun was around. He wondered now if he could trust Yuta. Would he hurt you to gain his freedom? Maybe he should watch as back. Who knows what Yuta is capable of?
“You will not hurt her? Right?” Doyoung asked a hint of worry in his tone. Yuta chuckled rolling his eyes. He turned placing his hand on his brother's shoulder. “Have I ever lied to you?” He asked. Doyoung gulped but shook his head. Yuta was a very good liar but tended to be honest with his brothers always wanting the best for them. He turned away stepping away from the machine. Doyoung still stood in the room just as the lights went dark.
“Are you coming? She may be cold,” Yuta said. Doyoung nodded following behind his brother.
To Be Continued….

Penguin is looking at him weirdly again. That little scrunch between his eyes and frown means the man is thinking in overdrive
Its been a couple of weeks since Law spat out his first petal, ever since hes been using a mask to cover his face, luckily it didint garner any suspicion because of his work as a doctor, but the coughing surely did
its like a tickle at the back of his throat that he just cant itch, Law knows theres some left over petals down there that cant seem to get out enough fr a free windpipe but damn, sometimes he wishes he could do surgery on himself to take some of it off because its so damn annoying
alas he cant magically conjure up an operating room to do it, so he'll stick to massaging his throat and drinking dry-cough syrup to try easing the pain
does that even work? will it even help his agitated throat or just leave the flowers stuck down there covered in medicine? law does not know nor does he have enough energy to care
but more than that, his friends are starting to worry, well, worry more than usual. Bepo is trying to convince him to go to a doctor, even though technically, they are doctors too, just in a different field. Sachi has been bringing soothing teas and drinks that hes been forcing Law to drink. His favorite seems to be lemon and honey this week. Law cant lie, it does help even if its a short time
Meanwhile Penguin, that annoying perceptive asshole, has been staring at him for the past 20min and not saying a word and Law has a dreaded feeling that the man is connecting outrageous but also accurate thoughts about Laws symptoms
Maybe its because the three were there when Law finally stopped denying himself for having a crush on Luffy (which may or may not be because the three had pointed out all the facts, with a PowerPoint presentation and pictures to showcase his infatuation with the strawhat wearing boy with the last slide saying: 'you deserve to love and be loved idiot!!' in all caps which yes, may have left the four of them in a pile of limbs, hugging and crying at night and waking up to work the next day with red rimmed eyes and smiles, or in Laws case, a smirk)
But yes, it seems that Penguin has been connecting the dots, and as crazy as it may seem hes always been good at giving the most craziest suggestions and ideas that could either be the right deductions or close enough for them to diagnose the right symptoms or solutions they need to help a pateint.
like law said, perceptive asshole.
so its not too far in the realm of reality for Penguin to realize something is wrong, and not in the usual 'you need to eat and sleep more' way but something deeper, and thus the reason why his thinking face is currently on the tired cardiac surgeon and annoying the fuck out of him
But Law isint going to say anything, Penguin can glare all he wants but he is not saying a word. fuck that. and fuck Penguin.
but the world has a funny way to mess up his plans every single time because the moment he tries to stand up and leave, his chest gives a painful clench and a sudden pulsating, stabbing pain overwhelms laws everything.
stumbling, he grabs the closes surface he can find which is luckily part of the table, but which is unluckily, full of books, papers, coffee cups and other shit they were to lazy to clean up, and it all crashes unto the floor, as law wheezes for the breath that he cant seem to get from his lungs. fuck why did it suddenly get so fucking painful??
someone is grabbing him, shit is the world titling? he cant breathe. he needs to breathe. something is stuck in his throat. he needs to fucking breathe. law suddenly feels a pair of hands around his chest and a sudden painful squeeze. A wave of nausea hits him as something forcibly gets spat out of his mouth and unto his mask
its only a few minutes later when the black splotches in his eyesight disappears that law realizes hed fallen over and is now slumped on the ground, with Bepo next to him holding his hand and breathing deeply, trying to make law instinctually copy him, with Sachi holding a pulse ox and is that an oxgyen tank? and Penguin is holding his mask and shirt open- fuck. wait. his mask. fuck. the petals.
"law. youve got a lot of explaining to do, you fucker."
Bepo is silently crying, Sachi's hand that is still holding and oxygen tank which is, what the fuck?? is shaking, and Penguin isnint even shouting as he hissed those words.
he sounds like a person who finally figured out a puzzle piece that was missing but then the finished image is something you hate, so you seethe and burn in anger and frustration and oh fuck.
law is so dead.
#happy belated birthday penguinnn heres my gift la angst uwu#lawlu#lulaw#hanahaki au#fr fics#trafalgar d water law#monkey d luffy

(Not-so) “Whumperless” Whump Event Day 3: Vertigo (kinda) | Struggling to stand
OCs: Haley, Twelve (magic!AU)
written before it was announced that whumpers shouldn’t be implied either,,, so yes, there is a specific whumper who caused this, even if offscreen
——————
Haley knew when he’d gone too far, the way the room seemed to revolve around his being. In fact, he was more than familiar with the symptoms of magic exhaustion. Such was the plight of his current role in the castle.
He nearly toppled over, instinctively wrapping his arms around the concoction to cushion it from any impending falls. He’d tried for days to perfect it, this spell. With the lack of books present, he went through numerous trials and errors to even get to this point.
Right now, he could barely think. What a shame, then. Seemed that the people above wouldn’t be getting their potion today, and he could preserve the good of this world for a while longer. Might as well just get the job over and done with, he thought, pouring another bottle of wispy solution into the vial and chanting a few practiced words.
Almost immediately, he was interrupted by another bout of nausea, clutching his head as his legs gave way and he slid down the wall he was leaning on, sitting awkwardly on the dirty floor. He couldn’t maintain this anymore, despite how much he so desperately wanted to. Something felt empty in him, something ever-yearning for energy. Back home, it would be more than easy to replenish that, yet over here, the usual soups he could make were barred to him.
He crawled his way to the makeshift shelf of ingredients where his bed once used to be, and even that small action made black spots bloom in his vision. He thinks twice before attempting to push himself up. He knows he can’t. Instead, he resolved himself to simply staying stationary, adjusting his position to get comfortable.
The floor was cold. He was cold. His thoughts wandered to the prince that unintentionally led to such a situation. He doubted that the carefree boy from the unimaginable time before would even be aware of such a place, right beneath the floors he walked.
Light permeated the room for the slightest of seconds before another figure was thrown in and the room returned back to darkness.
Almost immediately, he could tell they were not normal: if not for the shock of snow-white hair, then the way his hairs stood on end from the sheer aura radiating off them in waves and waves. His energy levels, though still below average, spared him the pleasure of having a little more than enough strength to stand, cautiously approaching the small boy with a million thoughts rampaging his fatigued mind.
There wouldn’t be a reason for him to slack now. Even before the stranger spoke, he comprehended just how much the task was required of him.

4 REASONS AFRICAN SPIRITUALITY IS GROWING IN POPULARITY
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6327ea940408f9f9544f42e14c8b4133/50e6fa09c73f69e3-36/s540x810/2df8f5c7a7f2ff6ef8d906635fe3ff0ae838d954.jpg)
African spirituality has experienced a major resurgence throughout the African diaspora in recent years. While it is still considered taboo to some, African spirituality is growing in popularity among others, particularly among millennials. In fact, there appears to be a growing trend of people from all walks of life returning to their traditional spiritual practices.
Millennials and younger generations are much less apprehensive about embracing the spirituality of their forefathers. This is in sharp contrast to previous generations who empathically shunned African spiritual systems and their derivatives. These systems were misconstrued as forms of witchcraft or black magic primarily because of the influence of European thought. But now, more people throughout the African diaspora are starting to leave mainstream religious systems in favor of African spirituality.
I think that this shift is occurring as part of a global socio-spiritual awakening. Many refer to this phenomenon as the Age of Aquarius. Regardless of the title, there are definitely events that have been occurring globally that indicate a shift in our collective consciousness.
WHY AFRICAN SPIRITUALITY IS GROWING
In order for these changes to occur, there had to be some form of catalyst or uprising. In the case of increased interest, conversion, and reversion to African spirituality, many factors have spawned this shift. According to my research and experiences, these dynamics include discontentment, the need for healing, decolonization, and social trends.
DISCONTENTMENT
Like many others, people throughout the African diaspora have become disillusioned with the unfilled promises of Christianity and other religions. In their longing to witness the return of a savior, people are starting to become anxious, impatient, and discontent. Many people have simply lost hope in the possibility of this occurring in their lifetime or at all.
Above and beyond waiting for a rapture, people want to see a change in their day-to-day lives. African diaspora youths have watched their parents and grandparents suffer from the strongholds of slavery and its aftermath. They have seen their parents and grandparents struggle to survive while clinging to a savior god who doesn’t appear to be concerned about their hardships. Nor does this savior god seem to care about the global struggles of the African diaspora.
Many of them have become despondent with the status quo. They want to see change, and few believe that a long-awaited savior will initiate it. So, they are searching for answers, and many are finding the answers they seek in traditional African spiritual systems. A number of people who return to their traditions are beginning to experience peace and gain power, which is one reason for the increased growth of African spirituality.
HEALING
Many people throughout the African diaspora are suffering from insurmountable maladies. They have physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and financial issues that modern-day healing modalities can’t seem to address properly. African and African diaspora spiritual systems like Hoodoo, Haitian Vodou, Ifa, and others have historically been known to be beneficial in treating such maladies.
This is why many people are turning to African spirituality as an effective alternative to western religious, healthcare, and economic systems, etc. Individuals throughout the African diaspora are beginning to wake up to the mystical wisdom that their fore-parents possessed. Even other groups of people are seeking help from African spiritual systems for the same reason.
They realize that western modalities are not curative. Instead, they simply cover up symptoms to underlying problems. Conversely, African spirituality has provided effective, permanent solutions to many of the ills faced by people throughout the diaspora. And in turn, it has helped improve their overall well-being.

DECOLONIZATION
This socio-spiritual awakening traverses all aspects of society as people seek ways to decolonize European thought patterns. The black conscious community began to realize this shift in the early 2000s with the second wave of the natural hair movement. This led to many women and men embracing natural hairstyles such as afros, dreadlocks, twists, etc. These hairstyles had been historically frowned upon in westernized societies because they embody the essence of black power and cultural pride.
As such movements continue, the black conscious community likewise continues to grow and gain in momentum. This group has started making tremendous waves in religious and spiritual decolonization as well. Many individuals from this group are waking people up to the reality of spiritual colonization. They expose the insidious role of religions like Christianity and Islam in the enslavement and colonization of black people worldwide.
Such individuals want nothing to do with what they consider to be the “slave master’s religion.” Many from these groups are turning to African spirituality as a means of honoring their ancestral heritage and decolonizing from religious superiority. A number of them have found comfort and solace in returning to their roots and culture for these very reasons.
SOCIAL TRENDS
As with all things in society, trends play an overwhelming role in societal shifts. In modern times, the journeys, lessons, and knowledge of those who have chosen to embrace African spirituality are being cataloged through social media. As more spiritually-curious individuals see this trend introduced through social media, more of them have started embracing African spirituality as well.
However, not everyone involved in this movement will wholeheartedly adopt African spirituality as a way of life. Many onlookers will only engage with African spiritual systems from the periphery.
A number of people may read a few articles or books about the topic, others may attend services in African spiritual circles, and some may even seek out divination services. However, overall everyone who engages with African spirituality will not be a lifelong adherent to such systems.
And that’s okay. Speaking as an African American devotee of two African spiritual systems, I know that African spirituality is not for everyone. I believe that people should be led by their intuition. This may mean fully embracing African spirituality for a moderate few, only observing it for some, or being totally repulsed by it for others. Either way, the journey for those who choose to embrace this path will continue.
If you are interested in learning more about African spirituality and why it is growing, check out these resources.

Black and white thinking is reactionary thinking
There is a specific reason why black and white thinking is a symptom of trauma that you will see in disorders and personality disorders caused by trauma. It's not a magical little quirk that exists for no reason, and it's not psychosis, though it's effects can seem very similar to psychosis from an external, and even internal view.
This is what's happening.
It's kind of similar to OCD magical thinking - you are afraid and out of control and want clear answers, you grab the clearest associations you can. You invent answers. And those answers are all you have. It's a fear of the unknown and you are driven to create certainty and simplicity where certainty and simplicity don't exist. It's magical thinking but you don't realize this.
Example
You have seen gender nonconforming men use that to take advantage of women. You might have seen it multiple times. Maybe no one saw it coming but you until it's too late. You now assume that gender nonconforming men as a whole are out to take advantage of you - that's your entire world and nothing else exists, and you have nothing else, to be fair. Yet in reality gender non conforming men are not more likely to be abusive.
If you weren't afraid you wouldn't be thinking in black and white because you wouldn't feel the /need/ to jump to conclusions.
Someone with BPD splits on someone because humans are complex beings and they can't handle that complexity because it doesn't feel safe. They have the overwhelming urge to /decide/ whether someone is safe or not. But they don't realize they're doing that, and generally speaking, neither do you. And by safe, that means 100% safe, so if some small thing happens, that means that person was 100% unsafe.
A racist individual feels uncomfortable with not being the focus and having to interact with people of other races. They feel tension and in service to that discomfort it's easier to see people of color as the enemy across the board to avoid cognitive dissonance.
This isn't coming out as clear and concisely as I wanted but I once literally saw someone arguing that people calling for "nuance" were liberals basically.
Only people who are afraid and in reaction have black and white thinking because it is a on the spot bullshitted replacement for certainty and confidence. People feel a sense of learned helplessness when it comes to understanding the world and they surpress it with deciding how reality is rather than bearing the unbearable discomfort of uncertainty.
The only way to find solutions and actually be right is to not artificially simplify complex systems, and to put in the work to understand the systems, AND understanding there are multiple systems and penomenons at play. This takes study, and to be confident enough and stable enough in yourself to see the full picture without feeling the urge to pressure the strongest associations you have into "facts". But they simply aren't in the same fear state as you. You desperately label things as inherently good and bad when they aren't, and you don't realize that good and bad are thought-terminating cliches. The word "problematic" is actually an accurate word, but it has been redefined to mean "bad" when it doesn't mean that. You see people that don't agree with you to be enemies.
If you feel desperate you need to clue into that.
The complexity of the world is scary but it must be embraced with courage in order to defeat reaction. Until the left addresses it's serious problems with reaction we are not going to even have the capacity to win. Reaction is our enemy, fascism is the end result of reaction. That's literally why we call fascists reactionaries. Fear and reaction is the core of fascism.
Which is why emotional maturity and mental health are so important, and not in a pop culture way.
This was going to be a lot more precise and direct but I feel I failed at that. I might try again later.

🦇 Fly With Me Book Review 🦇
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
❝ They were mirrors in a way. Both of them watching their loved ones suffer. Both unable to help in any meaningful way. Both coping--one with work and the other with a list. Both scared shitless of hurting the other one. ❞
❓ #QOTD What are you afraid of? ❓ ⚠️ Content Warnings: Terminal illness, chronic illness, misogyny, toxic relationship, grief, traumatic brain injury
🦇 ER nurse Olive Murphy's fear of flying doesn't stop her from getting on a plane to honor her brother, but it seems her fear is misplaced. A medical emergency forces Olive to leap out of her seat and into action, only for the flight to get redirected. She would have missed the marathon she was meant to run at Disney if not for Allied Airlines pilot Stella Soriano; a gorgeous, type A woman who captivates Olive with a glance. They share a magical day at Disney together as the video of Olive saving a man's life goes viral (after all, she did TECHNICALLY save Mickey Mouse), prompting an uptick in positive press and sales for the airline. Stella sees it as an opportunity to earn her long-deserved promotion and asks Olive to play the role of her fake girlfriend as they generate more press. Can Olive stand playing a fake role when her heart is already on a one-way flight?
[ Instagram | Literal | Goodreads | StoryGraph ]
My Thoughts:
💜 Get ready for a sassy, steamy, sapphic love story bound to soar into your heart. Andie Burke's debut novel has a little of everything; an insta-crush, fake dating (complete with a binder full of rules and research!), sharp and witty banter, plus some real and raw mental health rep. Between their anxieties, family responsibilities, and messy emotions, both Olive and Stella are relatable main characters you can't help but fall in love with. Sparks fly from the moment Olive and Stella meet, and Olive's mega-crush is adorable without making her seem adolescent. We gain a lot of insight into both characters' lives despite the fact that the story sticks with Olive's POV, which isn't always an easy feat. The prose is descriptive but not overly flowery, but it's the character development that really flies off the page. I absolutely adored Olive's best friend, too (imagine Felix from Orphan Black and get ready for ALL the gay sass).
💜 Burke does a wonderful job of normalizing mental health conditions without banging mental health rep over our heads. Olive's symptoms are as much a part of her as the heart-eyes she wears when Stella is in the room. After her (toxic) ex broke up with Olive because her anxiety disorder and panic attacks were "too much," Olive is afraid her symptoms will eventually scare Stella away. Meanwhile, Stella's responsibilities as her father's caretaker (who has Parkinson's) create the cracks in her type-A facade and show us why she's so committed to earning her promotion. Both characters encounter misogyny as well. While some readers might feel that there's too much going on, Burke carefully stacks these issues atop of one another. That's life; we're all juggling multiple conflicts, both internal and external. Read the quote I selected again. These women are mirror images of one another. Their struggles, while different on the surface, make it all the easier for them to empathize with and support each other. There's also no perfect, easy solution to the problems these women are facing because, again: that's life.
🦇 A part of me does wish this story split the POV, allowing us to see Stella's perspective. Keeping the focus on Olive ensured Stella's feelings for her remained hidden, but...come on. We all know where a sapphic romance novel is bound to end: with a sapphic romance. The "fake dating girlfriends with benefits" situation is where the story really gets messy. It's difficult to believe that Stella doesn't have romantic feelings for Olive at that point. The miscommunication trope is still my least favorite, but it lingers much too long in this one, leading to a not-at-all surprising third-act breakup. Even so, this remains the best sapphic romance I've read so far this year.
🦇 Recommended to fans of the fake dating trope, serious character development, and a heart-eyed, healing MC.

Fang AU: Infection
Sooooo this is yet another extension of scene I wrote for the Fang AU created by @trilobitepunch, based on a request from @psychologicalwarclaire. Its starting to become something of a trend for me. Anyway, hope you all enjoy. Props and thanks, as always, to trilobug for letting me play around with her amazing creation, and curly for enabling me.
Hamato Leonardo knew himself to be a turtle of many enviable talents. Out-of-this-world charisma, rugged good looks, hilarious, a tactical mind and a resourceful field medic.
"Just keep breathing man, in and out."
"Get…OFF!" Leo bellowed, jamming the thumb of his free hand into the pressure point just behind the soft shell’s jaw.
Words dissolved. Not just words, but the very concept of speaking drained away, skewered by pain and caught by an strange continuous croon that kept pulling him in. Dragging him down, down, down, a silent and deadly riptide wrapped around his ankles. It hurt... it hurt...
Hurt. Pain! Painpainpainpain! Scared. Alone. Alonealonealonealon-
Here.
The crooning grew louder, building and rebounding until it vibrated in his bone marrow. It rushed in to smother his scalded tissues, knitting into his nervous system. It was all around him. It was him.
Fear!
Here.
Fearpain!
Comprehend. Herecomfort.
Here? Comfort?
Affirmation. Herecomfort. Heretogether.
Together…
Like a lighthouse in a storm the notion split through the chaos, neatly severing his mind from the inferno still warping his flesh and bones. It reeled him in, no longer a rip tide but a now a much welcomed life line that he clung to. The crooning became a pleasant hum in his mind, stripping away the burden of thought and feeling, wrapping his synapsis in cotton wool before pressing him down, down, down…
He was not alone.
