Man I've been having a lot of inspiration lately! I found these two recently. They're so cute and they just seem like so much fun, Melody is especially fun to draw, idk why lol

I wish I found these two sooner! I always seem to be late when it comes to finding cool things ^^'

Drifter Revolver: Songs and Mishaps Part 3

After escaping from Nightmare. The group finds themselves falling into a cold lake. Melody swims to the lake's surface. "Is everyone okay?" Rhythm emerges and looks at his sister. "I'm okay. I don't know the other two." Redrix emerges with Samantha on Lilly's back. "We are okay." He looks at the sky and sees dark clouds. "We need to find shelter quickly." Rhythm glances at Redrix. "Why should we listen to you?" Redrix swims past the twins with Lilly. "A storm is brewing. If you two want to be swept by it, be my guest." Melody looks at her brother. "We should go with them, brother. It's the least we can do after he saved me." Rhythm looks at the sky then at his sister. "Fine. Only because we owe him, not like I like the idea of being indebted to someone." Melody smiles and swims after Redrix with Rhythm.

Reaching the shores, Redrix looks at Samantha. "Are you okay, Samantha?" Samantha nods, and her wings disappear. "I'm okay. Thanks." She gets off Lilly and pats her. "Thank you as well." Lilly nuzzles Samantha. Redrix looks at the twins. "Do one of you know where are we?" Melody squeezes the water out of her hair. "I don't know. It's my first coming here." Rhythm walks past Redrix. "Follow me." The group follows Rhythm.

Some time passes with heavy rain. The group arrives at a cabin. Rhythm takes a key from under the welcome mat and opens the door. "Let's go inside before the weather worsens." Samantha gets off Lilly. "How do you know about this place?" Rhythm glances at Samantha. "I come here whenever I need to train." Redrix helps Melody get off Lilly. "You seem to be training a lot." He grabs his and Samantha's bags from Lilly's mouth. "Good girl. Go rest with your siblings." Lilly barks and disappears.

Melody walks to her brother. "Is coming here what you do when I'm with Dream and Ink?" Rhythm glances at his sister. "Yes. At least you were with trustworthy people." He looks at Samantha and Redrix. "Unlike those two." Redrix hands Samantha her bag and slings his over his shoulder as he glances at Rhythm. "How many rooms are there, boy?" Rhythm takes Melody's hand. "2 bedrooms, a living room, 2 two restrooms, and a kitchen." He goes inside and takes his sister with him.

Samantha walks to the cabin. "What's his problem?" Redrix follows her. "Lack of trust. I don't blame him. We are essentially strangers to them." Samantha sighs. "I guess you are right." She closes the door behind Redrix. "Rhythm, how about we split the rooms between us? Melody and I take a room while you and Redrix take the other room." Melody tugs Rhythm's hand. "It's a good idea besides we could bond together." Rhythm stares at Samantha. "Suuuuure." Samantha pulls two towels from her bag and hands one to Melody. "Well, I will change out of my wet clothes." She walks past Rhythm and looks at Melody. "Are you coming, Melody?" Melody nods and follows Samantha to their shared room.

Redrix takes two sets of clothes out of his bag. "You need to cut your sister some slack, boy." Rhythm crosses his arms. "Why, so Nightmare can corrupt and use her for his own twisted plans? Over my dusts." Redrix tosses a towel at Rhythm. "What or who is this Nightmare fellow?" Rhythm catches the towel and sits down. "Nightmare comes from an AU called Dreamtale, at least the 2nd AU with the same name." Redrix raises a brow. "Go on." Rhythm drys his face. "He is a self-proclaimed God who feeds off negative emotions and the sorts. He is after Melody because she can bring out positive emotions similar to his twin brother Dream but through songs." Redrix takes a piece of cloth and cleans his revolvers. "I assume this twin sibling of his can harm him? Considering, he spit out one of my bullets." Rhythm nods. "Yeah. Despite this, Dream doesn't want to end his brother." Redrix sets his guns on the table. "That's wishful thinking. And the whole positive emotions thing revolts him, right?" Rhythm takes his overcoat off. "That's the jist of it." He rubs his face. Redrix gives Rhythm a set of clothes. "Worry about that later. Right now, change your clothes so you don't catch a cold." He leaves Rhythm alone to change.

We have lost yet another legend.

I was introduced to David Lynch through a good friend by way of "Blue Velvet", "Wild at Heart" and "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me".

Even further solidified in the reruns of "Twin Peaks" on Bravo in the 90s when my teenage mind would take me away from home and into the vapor of Lynch's world.

Later another dream pairing when David asked Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails to work on the "Lost Highway" soundtrack.

I scoured the BBS systems and found an early copy of "The Perfect Drug" before the soundtrack had landed or the Radio stations had their promo and dutifully leaked it to the local alternative radio station for bag fulls of free CDs and multiple concert tickets.

I soon later saw "Lost Highway" in theaters... at last 5 times. And even later, wore out the tape on the VHS copy I bought.

And at night I would fall asleep to my VHS copy of "Industrial Symphony #1" with the beautiful lull of Julee Cruise's voice.

My teenage years linked through music and film and the geniuses behind it all.

There will NEVER be another David Lynch.

Nor another "Eraserhead" or "Mulholland Drive"...

And you knew what?

He damn sure made it that way,

by being fuckin' spectacular.

Rest in peace David.

Sable's Stickerbush

Alright, I can't help it - I promised I was going to move on from MAGFest, but it has positively infested my mind. Everyone's sets at Chipspace were absolutely incredible, and I believe I've raved enough about them for a lifetime with Mother, Father, TechnoMan alone. Yet there was something quite magical about eva twin's set in particular. She was not only playing her own rips - she was PERFORMING them.

With a bass in hand and a setlist of rips ready to go, eva twin's 20-minute set of hand-picked rips was one of the most transcendant experiences I've ever had with the SiIvaGunner channel. Maybe it was just a bunch of colliding factors exclusive to my own experience - the live-chat experience, the brand new pair of headphones with an emphasized bass, and the fact that I've only through this blog discovered just how rich of a track record eva twin has with chill, atmospheric yet feel-good rips such as Blessing the Dire, Dire Rains and Mii Favorite Things. Both of these were covered here on the blog before being featured on the Chipspace set, and eva twin was one of the first rippers that I was made aware of having read the blog to begin with, even way back in June and July. I can't help but feel a little touched to think that I may have, through this blog and the word I spread on here, influenced eva twin to chose those two rips in particular for her set. Be that the case or not, I feel obligated to return the favor by covering a third rip from this set - Sable's Stickerbush.

Out of all the rips from the set - at least, the ones I haven't covered yet - I think Sable's Stickerbush mainly just sticks out because I hadn't ever heard it. Sable is a game that sits firmly in my backlog of "it looks interesting I guess"-kinds of games, and with less than 10K views on its YouTube upload Sable's Stickerbush was bound to be a rip I forgot about quite quickly. Yet the absolute vibe captured through using what's perhaps the oldest yet most effective trick in the book - Stickerbush Symphony of Stickerbrush State of Mind (and so many more) fame. Yet paired with the instrumentation and hauntingly beautiful vocals of Sable's Glider theme, it somehow manages to play second fiddle in terms of melody in a way it typically really doesn't do in rips - despite never having heard it before, Glider by Japanese Breakfast captured my imagination right away upon hearing it.

I'll no longer get to have the experience of hearing Glider for the first time within the Sable game itself, yet I can't find it in me to be mad whatsoever when the experience I had listening to Sable's Stickerbush for the first time was just as magical. Even without eva twin's bass performance from Chipspace, the rip stands as an absolutely magical combination of two pitch-perfect sources, a true expression of love toward Sable and its small yet devoted fanbase. And, of course, nothing but another feather in eva twin's cap of excellent sound.

HURRAH BOB GELDOF: Orange Twin, the Elephant 6’s charity branch, recently successfully saved the roof to the Brewer Bell Museum in Canton, TX. The museum, run by and devoted to the hand-painted bells of Virginia Belle Brewer, was hobbled by damage to the roof that pushed it to the verge of collapse. Ms. Brewer began to sell hand-painted bells to raise funds for a repair effort, but the money she raised was not nearly enough to cover expenses. In steps £6. Jeff Mangum drew and Laura Carter painted 40 t-shirts and put them up for sale at $20 a pop on the Orange Twin web site (home.earthlink.net/%7Eorangetwin/). The shirts sold out immediately, helping toward a new roof for the museum.
