Arthur is an experienced, older demon and Alfred is a newly fallen angel-turned demon who has been thrust into an entirely different life and doesn't know how to deal with it.

Arthur hears of this and thinks it might be fun to mess with him, as there hasn't been a fallen angel for quite some time.

He approaches the fallen angel, who is crying because he now has no friends and no home, and unexpectedly, the fallen angel throws himself at Arthur...for a hug.

Thought of a cute AU idea where Gaon has a cooking youtube channel pre-canon where he doesnt show his face but cooks whatever his subscribers ask for/makes on-request step by step tutorials for beginner homecooks and college students. Yohan subscribes to that channel while looking for recipes to make for Elijah after the church fire, trying to replicate dishes from her mother that she liked, hoping to get her to eat again. He anonymously comments and asks Gaon for tutorials on some of those recipes, and while little Elijah doesnt eat everything, the familiar taste comforts her, which Yohan appreciates enormously. He thanks Gaon, reports that the recipes are a success with his niece, and regularly suggests other foods Elijah loved. Gaon obliges and gladly films some more tutorials, keeping this person's niece in mind and wishing her good health.

Then, around the time Gaon gets into law school he becomes really busy and stops updating the channel regularly. Yohan sends kind messages but doesn't get a response bc Gaon has long since logged off and has even forgotten his password. Fast forward to canon, Yohan sees Gaon get really busy in his kitchen, and decides to watch him make one of Elijah's favourites (and maybe gives him one or two details about her preference). Then he notices how the proportions, the way Gaon goes about the different steps and secret ingredients are the same as that youtube channel he used to watch years ago. Yohan off-handedly asks him if he's seen the tutorials from that channel too. It's then that Gaon realises that those heartwarming comment from an uncle cooking for his little niece were from the very family he's inserted himself in

First of all, I would like to tell you that your publications are very interesting, fun and inspiring, I really like the concepts and AU's that you share here.

So, my question is, how different are Vox's..."feelings" or thoughts towards Alastor between "The Devil's Bastard AU" and "Raised Together AU"?, since clearly in one case he later finds out Alastor is Lucifer's son, while in the other he knows it from the beginning, so there are probably differences with the canon.

I mean, from what I've seen here, I think you mentioned that Vox is still obsessed with him, but if you could elaborate a little more on the scope of those complicated feelings I would really appreciate it.

I actually had to go back and reread some of my old posts, because I needed a little refresher on everything I'd already written about Alastor and Vox. For the main Devil's Bastard AU, I would say that Vox's feelings upon learning about Alastor's secret are a mix of shock, fury, and horror. It doesn't really occur to him that Alastor himself didn't know that Lucifer was his father. Vox's first thought is that of course Alastor knew, he just kept it a secret so he could build himself up as a self-made man while secretly being a nepotism Overlord and a hypocrite.

It's one of those things he and Alastor often fought about, right before their friendship dissolved. Alastor coming from a poorer background and being a member of multiple marginalized communities during the days of Jim Crow laws, while Vox was a white, presumably wealthy cult leader who preyed on the disenfranchised, they had wildly different views on things such as class and wealth inequality. So when it comes out that Alastor is Lucifer's son, Vox comes to believe that Alastor was talking out of his ass during every one of those arguments.

At the same time, Vox is seething over the missed opportunity to have someone with Morningstar blood on his side. The royal family isn't well respected (except maybe Lilith, but it's hard to say definitively) but they are undoubtedly powerful. That's why the Vees were so nervous about Alastor making a deal with Charlie. Vox tells himself that if he had known, he would have fought harder to get Alastor either as a business partner or on the end of his chain.

He's right. In the Raised Together AU where Vox knew from the get go who Alastor was, Vox approached him with that knowledge in mind. His friendship with Alastor had a less organic beginning, as he had ulterior motives towards Alastor. However, I do think that he did develop real feelings for Alastor over time. Not necessarily healthy ones, mind you, but real nonetheless. I'm fond of the interpretation that Alastor was Vox's bi awakening and that the two of them had a genuine friendship before whatever incident lead to them becoming bitter rivals. There's also the implication that Alastor may have played a part in Vox's rise to overlord status.

Now, Alastor isn't stupid. He's aware that many of the demons who approach him are looking to improve their social standing. He was less open to Vox in the beginning, but Vox's charisma and honed people-skills did eventually get him into Alastor's good graces, and as Vox's feelings developed, Alastor's walls came down to the point that he willing to call Vox a true friend.

However, Vox didn't let his emotions get in the way of his ambition. If anything, he only became more determined to tie Alastor to him. He started trying to drive a wedge between Alastor and Charlie, encouraging Alastor's worse habits and more ruthless side. He tried appealing to Alastor's ego by saying how the two of them were above the common Sinners and with their powers combined they could control the entire Ring of Pride and blah blah blah. He proposed his alliance and, well...

Like I said. Alastor isn't stupid. He'd been fully aware that Vox had been trying to manipulate him for some time by then, but he valued their friendship enough to try to maintain it and arrogant enough to think he could do this while evading Vox's manipulation attempts. And, well, it wasn't like he didn't also use Vox, to an extent. Bridging the gap between himself and the Overlords, getting an in to their meetings and a direct line to some of the technological and social advances taking place in Hell. As long as it was reciprocal, it was fine. But when he turned down Vox's proposal, Vox exploded.

It didn't turn into full on physical fight, not because they weren't willing to hurt each other, but because Vox had enough self-control to remind himself that attacking Lucifer's son might not be the best idea. But their friendship did end messily in that moment, even without the bloodshed. Afterwards, Vox had to tread carefully around Alastor so although their rivalry still exists, it's not quite as public. What he didn't know was that Alastor actually prevented Lucifer from doing anything to Vox after their falling out. Later when asked, Alastor will say that Vox had only ever used him and never actually cared for Alastor, but he won't speak a word on his own feelings about what happened.

Fallen Angel Bradley;

After stealing a lighting bolt and gifting it to humankind (because Bradley has a heart of gold💛) he's banned from heaven and tho he lives between people for many, many years. Until he meets Jake in flight school (being an angel doesn't mean you shouldn't have a job!) Jake who is a little lost demon, banned from Hell because demons born from fire with a burning scar on their body, naming their human mate (isn't that true? Everyone of us has a little evil somewhere hidden inside that sometimes whispers things like; it's OK to eat more cookies right before lunch!🤭) but Jake's mate was an angel.

They become rivals, somewhere in the middle one argument leads to another, turns to yelling that echoes around empty locker room and Bradley rushes in, kisses Jake so hard to shut him up so it's how they start sleeping together ❤. They find out about their true identify but they still love each other!

Finally one day, Gods forgive Bradley for stealing fire and so he's given his wings to return but.. he decides to stay between people on Earth with his demon partner forever💗.

DMC Questions Anon here!

Create a crossover! What is Devil May Cry crossing over with? How does it work? How do the characters from each world interact with the characters from the other?

Look, ya'll see my username, u know I'm gonna go with Pokémon.

specifically I'm thinking about pokemon naturally existing within the human realm, and demons are almost entirely separate from them. So all of the human characters have pokemon partners, with some exceptions.

All of the Spardas have a pseudo-legendary, and Dante specifically has Tyranitar. I wanted this line specifically because this species is known for causing a lot of damage, but have also been shown to be very sweet and protective if need be. It really fits Dante's 'don't come near me, I'm dangerous' mindset until Patty climbs all over it and it utterly adores her. It's also a hugger, so much so that Dante actively lets himself get poked to Hell because it looks sad.

As for Vergil, I'm going with the Salamence line. It's a very interesting line, having a goal-driven lizard eventually achieve that goal in the final stage. Vergil would have a hard time working with his partner, especially in 3 (where it would be a Bagon), because demons don't have pokemon partners. He leaves Bagon with Dante when he falls into Hell, thinking that the pokemon would not be able to survive there. It would stay with Dante for decades after that, until finally reuniting with Vergil as a Shelgon in DMC 5. It would take a bit, but it would eventually evolve after the boys got back from hell. Dante will forever lord the fact that his partner fully evolved before Vergil's (until Salamence smacks him with a Dragon Claw. Vergil approved.)

Nero would definitely have the Dragapult line! A dragon type (like Salamence) that has a large focus on family in its design whist also being completely unique from most other pseudos? Yeah, it's chock full of Nero vibes. The Dragapult evolution definitely only happened at the end of DMC 5, becuase the image of a Dragapult and DT Nero fighting with Silver Bullet in the bg is so fuckin sick. Also he was a Dreepy during DMC 4 and u need to know that he loved to sit on Nero's head or in his hoodie.

Patty next because propaganda. This one's up for grabs, but I think her first partner was a Dratini! Specifically one that kept showing up in the DMC office until Dante shoved it into Patty's arms. She's a Dragonair now, and often flies around the office just to annoy Dante. Also, shoutout to Patty for being the only human to get a pseudo because she's Dante's kid.

Trish didn't have a partner at first, since she was a demon. After going off on her own for a while, she ran into a Wattrel that kept using her motorcycle's wind to glide in the air. She found the little thing tenacious, and now there's a Kilowattrel half the size of Lady that perches in the DMC office rafters. It's high speed nature complements her fighting style rather well, along with the electricity.

Lady's partner is an extremely violent Scolipede. She really big and very venomous, so most regular people steer clear of her. She is also very tsundere, but actually doesn't mind when Dante or Trish are around. Lady takes great care of her, and often rides her in during jobs. Most people would tell you that's a horrible idea, but DMC employees are not normal people. Also Vergil was shot by one of her needles in DMC 3 when she was a Venipede, and now they are locked in a bitter rivalry. Lady thinks this is hilarious.

Nico is very happy with her Riolu partner, even if it was a gift from her dad when it was an egg. She doted on it very often, and even forced Rock to help her make a special egg warmer. When it did hatch, it quickly shared her interest in the art of metalworking and gunsmithing. Nowadays, he's Nico's assistant. He hasn't evolved yet, but Nico doesn't mind. He will when he's ready.

Kyrie's partner is a Sylveon, and a very caring one at that. Loves the kids, Kyrie, and Nero. Was an Eevee during DMC 4, and refused to leave Nero's side after Kyrie was kidnapped. Because of that, she is actually incredibly strong, so much so that Salamence was immediate put on edge when they met.

Some quick ones! Eva gave Sparda a Dieno when they met, and it was a very affectionate Hydregion during the boys' youth. Eva herself had a Alolan Ninetales, who was very protective of the boys and the baby pseudos. Both of these Pokemon are actually still alive in a rehabilitation center, although the boys don't know that rn. Morrison has an old Stoutland who can surprisingly handle battle quite well. Nina's partner is a very majestic and battle worn Kingdra, who is currently enjoying retirement. V did not have any pokemon, but he does talk about one he regrets leaving behind in the past....

And... that all their main partners! They actually have other pokemon as well, but these were just their first ones. As an example, Dante also has a Houndoom that he befriended in DMC 3 (as a Houndour) that knows a lot of bite moves. Why? King Cerberus rep for the mutual Coverage. Elemental coverage.

Adding more to this post:

Angel Alfred sees demon Arthur and thinks he has it better since he has the freedom to do whatever he wants and judge things how he sees fit.

This results in Alfred being more reckless, as he intervenes to save the human he was merely assigned to observe and it results in him falling. He finds it unfair and rejects his former life, wanting to do things his way without all these frustrating rules.

When he sees Arthur again, he has nothing else and is ready to latch on. He is highly interested in this demon, but doesn't know if he can trust him, so he wants to be underestimated and feigns naivety.

Arthur grows interested in this newly fallen angel in return and decides to show him how life as a demon works. Seeing fallen angels deal with the culture shock is fun, witnessing them gradually grow more corrupted is a fascinating process, and if he lends this one a helping hand then perhaps he could become a good ally in the future.

Firstly, they do NOT get along at the start. Obv obv. Here comes this prodigy jaeger trainee hotshot and he thinks he knows everything and Mark just wants to strangle him because he's cocky and sometimes bats his eyelashes at Mark and Mark can't tell if Seb's mocking him or flirting with him. What Seb makes up for in lack of physical strength he makes up for in pure speed and on the training mats he's a menace and very unashamed about it. Jenson nudges Mark and goes, hey, hey, think you can take him? Mark scoffs in bravado, like duh. Staff whipping toward Seb he stops just short of clocking Seb in the head and Seb stops just shy of jabbing the pointed end of his staff into Mark's belly and they both go, aw shit.

Their first neural handshake goes poorly. Their minds are very closed off from each other, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's a portion of good pilot pairups that manage to keep their minds from drifting even while drifting, and they get the job done. But with Mark and Seb there's a lot of friction in that Mark says go left here and Seb will be like no, go right, and they're so non-communicative inside the robot that they don't actually know why the other wants to do what. They just think the other isn't listening. They step out of the first sync test absolutely loathing it. Mark mouths off to the superiors and says they can go find someone else to pilot with their golden boy and Seb fumes when he hears it because there is no one else. There is no one else who's drift compatible. Oops. Mark doesn't know this.

There's a Kaiju attack that no one saw coming off the coast of Melbourne and fuck, fuck. No one's prepared. Mark's mouth goes dry. That's his home. I'll pilot, he tells the PPDC bosses in desperation. You'll need a partner, they tell him. I'll do it, Seb says, and Mark thinks he might not hate the kid after all.

Their Jaeger is unwieldy and awkward and they're struggling, when Mark realizes that Seb is shaking next to him. Seb is... scared. Kid, Mark hisses, get your head in the game. They barely avoid a swipe of a leathered tail in their direction. For a span of time it's like Mark's trying to pilot the Jaeger by himself, and it pulls brutally at his mind and saps the strength from his limbs. Kid, he tries again. Sebastian. Please. I need you to back me up here.

There's a shift in their neural link and something opens up and Mark feels it, Seb's fear and I'm sorry for being so cocky when I didn't know shit and Mark's like, I don't care about that now. Are we doing this together? You with me?

Seb nods. I'm with you.
