manami x kisame?
she's a nice girl she can't be the only single one in the family it's horrible. 😭so I propose ✨Kisame✨she likes men naturally and mature
I mean, he does fit her type, so if he would have lived;
The look Kakashi would give his cousin for dating an ex akatsuki member that can also easily crush her 😑
Megumi would joke that they both got “dangerous lovers”, but Mana has her beat 😆
Michiko would giggle and say if she knew she liked big boys, she could’ve introduced her to some single Akimichis 😏
Michiyo would tell her that that giant blue man(?) is a criminal. Why are her younger sisters into criminals!? 💀
Suzaku and Erika “he’s blue..” 👀👀
Aja would be excited for her if he’s changed his ways ☺️
Botan and Akihito (her older Hoshigaki cousins) would raise a toast to having more Hoshigaki’s in their family 🍻

I think if I said who my favorite characters in media were, it wouldn't surprise anyone here. Instead it'd be like that explains so fucking much while saying nothing. So fuck it.
A list of favorite characters from every hyper fixation I've ever had.
YuYu Hakusho (I would recommend both the manga and anime bpth are very good times.)
Yusuke Urameshi Keiko Yukimura Kazuma Kuwabara (I love Kuwabara he's great- He's amazing good guy.).
Since we're on Yoshiro Togashi's work anyway-
Hunter x Hunter
Killua Zoldyck Leorio Paladiknight Knuckle Bine
Detective Conan
Shinichi Kudo (I too am irresponsible and full of hubris I would have followed that criminal too at his age.) Ran Mori Heiji Hattori
Shaman King
Yoh Hao Asakura
It's equal but I lean more favorably towards Yoh. Favorite Yu-gi-oh series and protagonist
Yu-Gi-Oh GX
Judai Yuki (I don't think this says anything. I'm just correct, actually.)
Bleach
Orihime Inoue (Always forever sweet lady amazing girl.) Captain Unohana Oldman Yamamoto Toshiro Hitsugaya Kenpachi and Ichigo (I like them both to about the same degree.)
Naruto
Naruto Hinata Neji Shikamaru Sakura Ino Tamari
Oh, wait Akamaru. Yep that's every- oh and Shino! Wait and Choji. Probably Tamari's entire team, too, and can't forget Neji. In fact there we go he's up where he belongs. Naruto has a huge fucking cast. Most of them are interesting chaaracters. Bleach has a fucking huge cast as well.
Code Geass
Lelouch Euphemia Suzaku Akito from Akito the exiled (this is also correct).
Boruto
I'm committed to what I like-
Boruto Shikadai Chocho (this is just correct too actually I don't look in this fandom so fuck it I make this rule now) Himawari Inojin.
One Punch Man
Garo (I said he could beat Saitama in the manga and my nephews made fun of me because he's never won anywhere else. But that shit was a fight in the manga instead of a one hit out.) Metal Bat (I have a character type leave me alone. Yes, I recognize having Kuwabara, Knuckle Brine, and then him here sets a pattern. But I'd argue it's a good one.)
Chainsaw Man
Denji Makima Nayuta Kobeni Asa
Pandora Hearts
Oswald Gilbert Oz Elliot Marie Ada Sharron Lily
Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning (Spiral Suri no Kizuna)(read this in middle school sooo this is going off memory.)
Ayumu Narumi Hizumi Mizushiro
Nabari No Ou (read this in middle school sooo this is going off memory.)
Tobari Kazuhiko Miharu Yoite Kouichi
Kagerou Days
Shintaro Ayano Seto Konoha Hibiya
Kingdom Hearts
Terra Roxas Axel (Lea) Xion Vanitas Ventus Xemnas (Look my first game was days and he was a decent boss). Larxene Sora
Oshi No Ko
Aqua Hoshino Akane Kurokawa Taiki Himekawa Kana Arima Frill Shiranui Shun Yoshizumi
Batman comics and animated series
Harley Quinn (since batman the animated series) Damian Wayne (since Son of Batman movie) Bruce Wayne (Yes, Bruce is below his son. I'm not sorry.) Poison Ivy (since Batman the animated series.).
Spider-man
Peter Parker Mile's Morales (from the films).
Calvin and Hobbes
It was the first thing I enjoyed reading. I don't think I have to explain this but I liked everyone that appeared frequently in this.
Deadpool (mostly due to the Spider-man team up comics and the movies.)
W.I.T.C.H
Irma Hay Lin Will Taranee Cornelia Elyon
Totally Spies
Alex Clover Sam
Martin Mystery (A show nobody knows)
Martin
Invader Zim
Dib Gaz Tak
Gravity Falls
Dipper Pines Pacifica Mabel Stanley
I was typing this up during that whole other thing people may have seen. I don't know what this list can tell anyone about me. It is funny to go over for me personally because a lot of the characterization stuff I like from Milgram can be found in most of these series. Which is proably why I have trouble actually picking favorites in regards to Milgram since all of the characters have traits I enjoy.
But yeah that's a little bit about me I guess. I do enjoy a lot of the characterization I see in Milgram. This is much more casual and generally being written up to give some idea of my likes. Though most of these are good watches, reads, or plays. Most are pretty well known but I would recommend Spiral since it's not that talked about in general.
Well, that's it.

Witches (Yakuza X Magia Record AU) - Nishiki/Haruka/Akiyama
This is the continuation of my Yakuza X Magia Record AU, Witch form! Previously, I wrote Kiryu and Majima, now it’s Nishiki, Akiyama, and Haruka’s turn!
Witch name: Darren Type: Koi witch Nature: Distrust Magical boy: Akira Nishikiyama
Information The koi Witch, his nature is distrust. He expands all of his power for the sake of a perfect plan and have full control of his aquatic labyrinth. His fortune only turns under the weight of memories and no longer moves toward the future. Nothing will reach him any longer. He will trust no one.
Witch's minions Name: Werner Type: Koi witch minions Duty: Drown
Information The koi witch's minions. Their duty is to drown. When they found a human trying to approach the labyrinth, they will drown them without hesitation. They try to attract the Witch's attention by swimming around him and attempting please him. They are nothing more than objects of disgust to the Witch.
Additional information:
His Labyrinth is aquatic-based and I imagined the place resembles an aquarium or sea (other suggestions are greatly appreciated!).
Damn, basically Nishiki endured one hell of a trauma conga line. I took some inspiration from Sayaka’s Witch, Oktavia von Seckendorff for this. He’s basically scary when you piss him off, that’s why his minion desc ‘they are nothing more than objects of disgust to the Witch’.
His nature, distrust, is based on his Kiwami transformation, from carefree guy for Kiryu, to a vengeful and callous person.
Witch name: Luciana Type: Rabbit witch Nature: Loving Magical girl: Haruka Sawamura
Information The rabbit Witch, her nature is loving. This Witch desires to help and protect people impartially. She is a strange Witch, because she treats humans who wanders into her labyrinth without malice. However, she can't stand them leaving her and lets out a weep.
Witch's minions Name: Sophia Type: Rabbit witch minions Duty: Take care
Information The rabbit witch's minions. Their duty is to take care humans and reassure that they are in a safe place. They constantly seek out companions.
Additional information:
Her nature, loving, is based on her role as the big sis in the Morning Glory Orphanage.
I imagined her Labyrinth is filled with cute stuffs, musical beats, marble floors, and star-shaped decorations dangling above. However, if you try to escape her Labyrinth, things slowly to get ugly and dark.
Her Witch form has the remnants of her costume as a magical girl.
Witch name: Galliano Type: Bird witch Nature: Guilt Magical boy: Shun Akiyama
Information The bird Witch, his nature is guilt. With his wings radiating flames, he rules the skies while repressing the accusations from the past. This Witch won't stop rising even when he is at his limit. Anyone killed in his labyrinth will have their body parts placed into his familiars.
Witch's minions Name: Sayuri Type: Bird witch minions Duty: Companion
Information The bird witch's minions. Their duty is to be his companions. Once they encounter a human, they will attack and slice their body apart in order to be placed as their own. The human's disfigured body will be decorated with lilies and cremated by the Witch.
Additional information:
His Labyrinth, befitting with his symbolism as the vermilion bird (Suzaku) is the vast skies with lilies and embers flying in the air. This also refers to Akiyama’s loan company, Sky Finance.
His minions name, Sayuri, means lily. According to the language of flowers (hanakotoba), lilies represent hatred or revenge, which explains their cruel nature.
His nature, guilt, is a reference of Akiyama being fired from his previous job as a banker and turned homeless. In addition, his minions represents his fellow homeless.

Custom Toonami Block Week 87 Rundown
Code Geass: We’re down to the last few episodes and we’re still in the middle of Lelouch and Schnizel’s weird dick measuring contest. Turns out Cornelia’s alive though she’s out of commission and FUCKING GILFORD SURVIVED, THAT NUKE LITERALLY KILLED NO ONE. I honestly forgot he survived but damn they just went out of their way for that to kill no main characters even though Gilford was right in the middle of it holy shit. Anyway Schnizel’s ship has an Infinity+1 Barrier except it can’t fire nukes while it has it up because, you know, shooting a nuke to bounce off your unbreakable barrier is a weird move. Kallen busts in to break up Lelouch and CC doing weird shit and CC briefly fights her in her Barbie Pink Gundam with a shield they make a big deal of but Kallen absolutely wrecks her shit because she’s the best damn pilot in this show and CC’s main power is being too apathetic to die. So yeah Lelouch is able to cancel the nuke by typing really fast and getting Suzaku to thrust the numbers he typed really fast into the nuke even faster and it’s just as ridiculous as it sounds but it gives them a hole to get like five ships into Schnizel’s Death Star Gino fights Suzaku and gets his ass kicked but turns out the only reason he was fighting at all was to… bring down the barrier? Like yeah that lets Kallen fight Suzaku and she’s the only one that stands a chance against his bullshit but that still opens of Damocles to be attacked by Lelouch’s entire army which is probably not what they want. Meanwhile Lelouch uses the recording trick he used on Mao to fuck Schnizel up and make him work for Zero forever because dying is easy but living is harder. Also Diethard gets killed or something who cares. Lelouch goes to confront Nunnally who has her finger on the nuke button but turns out she got so stressed out she just isn’t blind anymore because I guess that’s how that works. Like yeah it was psychosomatic because of Charles’s Geass but you’re telling me there’s never been a time she’s been really stressed out and wanted to see until now? Idk, but it’s pretty badass for her to stare her brother in the eyes for the first time and be vulnerable to his Geass if he chooses.
Inuyasha: We’re going to be in filler town for a long time but at least this is a good one. Like this episode with Sota’s love confession is peak comedy and has a lot of fun with the Isekai elements, there’s so much fun character interaction with Sota and Inuyasha and fish out of water stuff with Inuyasha going shopping with Kagome. This episode is completely meaningless in the overall plot, like the girl he confesses to isn’t even who he ends up with in Yashahime which is weird because Yashahime seems to want to canonize as much filler as possible but also makes sense that you’re probably not going to marry your third grade crush. Still is a horrendous amount of fun and made me laugh out loud quite a bit.
Yu Yu Hakusho: It’s the conclusion of the Dr. Ichigaki fight and Not!Genaki decides “Ehhh Yusuke got his powerup for this fight, okay let’s end it” which implies she was just dragging out the fight and letting Kuwabara get beat up and prolonging the Ichigaki Fighters’ torment to create a Super Saiyan moment for Yusuke which if memory serves won’t be the last time. So yeah, she Spirit Waves everyone to paralyze them and it… purifies them or some shit I guess and blows the headcrabs off their back/purifies their blood… sounds convenient. Yusuke thinks she killed them though and she just kind of… lets Yusuke think that so he can beat up Monster!Ichigaki with just his fists. It’s ironic the buildup for this fight was “Oh no, Yusuke can’t use his Spirit Gun” and he recovers it during this fight but he never really gets to USE it, so I guess that was just for show or something. Anyway, the totally impartial judges are like “Cool fight Yusuke, do it again” and line up the next fight right away while Not!Genkai is wiped, Kuwabara’s literally half dead, Hiei’s down an arm and Yusuke’s probably not feeling great. Honestly Kurama’s in the best shape here since he only fought a giant machine for a few minutes today so it makes sense that they go with him for the next episode but damn this is a heck of a boss rush.
Fate Zero: Okay so this show about historical figures murdering each other to satisfy the shapeless greed of humanity has gotten kinda dark. Turns out is was Lanc-I mean the Masked Berserker that abducted Iris last time and disguised himself as Iskandar for… reasons. Like I guess it was to make them fight each other but even when Saber finds out Iris isn’t with them she found them pretty easy and they just kinda fight anyway because they have egos the size of skyscrapers and no one wants to go home without crossing their giant sword dicks. Luckily they don’t murder each other, Saber Getsuga Tenshos them and Iskandar just kinda… drives into it? I mean I don’t really know what the plan was but now he’s down one set of wheels and only has one more use on Unlimited Dude Works. (speaking of which for as much strain the other Noble Phantasms put on the other Servants, Saber’s Getsuga Tensho doesn’t seem to tire her out all that much it just takes some time to charge up so idk why she’s not spamming that more often). Anyway Priest Alucard has set up the Aburame Clan dude making it look like he killed Rin’s dad (which he was gonna do anyway, like it’s supposed to be a tragic misunderstanding that he didn’t actually do it but honestly if he wasn’t already dead we’d be in the same situation because he’d have done it anyway so there’s no real point for him feeling bad about it or being framed) right as Rin’s mom (I don’t remember her name and I don’t remember if she has one) walks in. I like that Kirei was like “yo don’t be late bitch” because apparently he was planning this meetup to the minute which is kind of amusingly crafty for his first villain scheme but I’d laugh if Kariya just had to pee or puke bugs or something and missed the timing. Anyway Rin’s mom is kinda understandably upset that her dickhead husband is dead before he could continue emotionally destroying both their daughters and is like “Oh Kariya you bug-filled bitch, get the bugs out of your ears and go away” and he’s like “I LOVE YOU BITCH THAT’S WHY I’M CURRENTLY CHOKING YOU TO DEATH” which is… a reason I guess? Like that’s not a normal reaction to that, like yeah Kariya’s got bugs up his urethra and shit but that’s just kind of a weird take dude. It’s like he went “Oh well, might as well murder my only love too, it’s sadder that way” Speaking of which for a guy filled with bugs that can barely walk he sure has a lot of hand strength to choke a bitch with but what do I know. Meanwhile Gilgamesh and Kirei are up on the balcony like Statler and Waldorf going “There’s nothing like a good show… and that was nothing like a good show, DOHOHOHO!”
Konosuba: We’re up to the season finale! (There’s one more episode listed on Crunchyroll but I think it’s an OVA or something but we’ll tackle that next week) Turns out Aqua’s totally made up bullshit conspiracy was right and fucking Rimiru Slime is poisoning the water supply pf this crazy town and Wiz is having none of his Reincarnated as a Poison Slime and eating people for power bullshit. Though now he’s in his final form and Kazuma has to think of a Macguyver plan to somehow tie the one thing each of his friends can do into a god-killing weapon… and he does, and it’s kind of amazing honestly. Like the group gets to take down a giant monster they technically aren’t responsible for for once, and Kazuma gives a heroic sacrifice, putting the chips down when it counts and Aqua gets to Falcon Punch Rimiru thanks to the faith her self-serving bullshit has genuinely instilled in the people of the town. It’s one of those “most religions are bullshit anyway so if it helps, it helps” moments and I’m always a sucker for that. Of course they get no reward because Aqua fucked over the town on accident anyway but at least they’re not in more trouble than before. And they get to return home and get a warm welcome and Kazuma gets to reflect on his new life and give it some begrudging gratitude for once without being immediately undercut by something horrible. What a nice ending, that’s a really great season finale and I wish they did some more of this stuff that plays things a little straighter while keeping the mildly cynical edge of the show. Who knows, maybe next season will be more like that now that the group is genuinely getting stronger.
Sailor Moon Crystal: So we get the backstory of the Black Moon and it’s basically “being immortal sucks so everyone should die” which is… you know, fair point, immortality probably sucks, Chibi-Usa is a 900 year old loli and they go into what a fucking nightmare that is. But their prince is like “Oh no she’s hot” when he sees Future Usgai which means he kidnaps Past Usagi (probably his whole reason for doing this since they basically already won before time travel got involved) and now has her in a Fifty Shades of Gray situation where she can technically go anywhere but she can’t do her shojo power shit anywhere on this planet, even pulls a Dio on her which is kind of fucked up. Usagi pictures everyone which… wakes up the three formerly kidnapped Guardians somehow because sure why not (also when she thinks about Mamoru he’s shirtless which just throws fuel on the idea they fucked a few episodes ago. Also Chibi Usa proves she is her mother’s daughter by getting irrationally upset that her lesbian time god isn’t solely dependent on her just like Usagi got mad for Mamoru having concern for THEIR OWN FUCKING DAUGHTER. Anyway Chibi-Usa is having her fucking meltdown in the nexus of all time and Dark Sage is like “yo, heard you were having shojo problems, lemme throw fuel on the fire.”
Durararax2: (TBA Because of my cable going out, I’ll definitely get to it before next week and update)

Arle Nadja for Smash Bros. 4: We’re going for Spiritual Classics
Behold. Even when there’s chaos and disorder, we’re near the spooky day, and so, it’s time to talk about the Spirit Battles that I plan to bring into Smash Bros. Ultimate!
I did warn you last time we had this kerkuffle, that long texts awaited thee for this instance. You have been warned tremendously. Let us begin the last part!
Número 3: Spirit Battles!
Spirits are these jolly-good .png files that, when equipped, give you power, make you stronger, give you buffs, etc., etc. Puyo Puyo-based Spirits will consist of 11 of those little fellas, with 9 of those having a battle via the (hypothetical) DLC Spirit Board.

Amitie’s Spirit Battle has to take place at a magical place! Taking her spot is Zelda, who’s known for having Fire and Wind-based magic, much like our lovely protagonist herself. And joining her are Corrin and Villager mimicking Sig and Raffina! By leveling up, she turns into Red Amitie, but how exactly is a thing we don’t exactly know.
4. Ringo Ando

Joining Robin with her thunder attacks is Richter, jumping in as Maguro, the bear himself, Banjo, as Risukuma, and a surprise guest: Ecolo, as Dark Samus! Stamina Battle

7. Cool Schezo
Class: Ace ☆☆☆
Spirit Stats:
Power: 3041 [ATK 1761 DEF 1280]
Slots: 3
Sword Attack ↑
It’s the one who commands the dark magic, Schezo! Seemed kind of obvious for him to be portrayed by Robin himself, in a magical, distant land. His fight makes it seem like he’s hella powerful, so getting him AND getting his Spirit to become Cool Schezo feels even more rewarding. Just look at that pristine white cape of power, so cool!
8. Rulue
Class: Advanced ☆☆

Power: 4300
Stamina Battle

The lady who kicks into scene takes form into a Puyo SUN-inspired battle! At the shores of the beautiful Tortimer Island, Wii Fit Trainer posing as Rulue will take you on with powerful kicks and twists. The skill you get, which is Energy Shot Attack/Resistance, is a testament to her strength and training against magical arts.
9. Dark Prince
Class: Ace ☆☆☆
Type: (Primary) Shield
Power: 9300
Team Stock Battle
Vs. Ganondorf (Brown) & Bunny Kirby (Yellow)
Stage: Dark Prince Castle (hazards off)
Music: Final of Puyo Puyo
Hazard: Screen Flip
Conditions:
The screen will suddenly flip.
Defeat the main fighter to win.
The enemy starts the fight with a Black Hole.
The enemy favors special attacks.
Acquired Spirit Stats:
Power: 3148 [ATK 1882 DEF 1266]
Slots: 3
The Dark Prince himself, mwah ha ha! To be quite fair, the only character who was able to fit this awesome robe was Ganondorf himself. I know there’s a joke there trying to have Joker take his place but, well, Voice Actor jokes only work when they’re, well... global? For this fight, it’s all about manipulation and trying to outdo your rival to get your hands on that powerhouse of his Spirit.
10. Puyo Puyo
Class: Novice ☆
Type: (Support) Neutral
Power: 1600
Team Stamina Battle
Vs. Team Kirby (Red ×4, Green ×4, Yellow ×4, Blue ×4, Purple ×4)
Stage: Distant Planet (Ω)
Music: Theme of Puyo Puyo
Conditions:
Reinforcements will appear after an enemy is KO'd.
The enemy falls slowly.
Acquired Spirit Stats:
Ability: Instadrop
Cost: 2
Before we move onto the last Spirit, we have to do this... fun Puyo hell! It’s the Puyos, in their... most interesting form. Represented by colored Kirby fighters, these fall slowly into the field and have low energy. When you beat them, you earn the Instadrop ability, kinda like if they gave you the ability to Hard Drop.
11. Doppelganger Arle
Class: Legend ☆☆☆☆
Type: (Primary) Attack
Power: 13500
Stamina Battle
Vs. Arle (Dark Red)
Stage: Dracula’s Castle (Ω)
Music: Dark Arle’s Insanity
Conditions:
Take your strongest team into this no-frills battle.
Acquired Spirit Stats:
Power: 4842 [ATK 2659 DEF 2183]
Slots: 2
Magic Attack ↑
The final battle for all of us is supposed to be against ourselves. Same goes for Arle, who you get to battle into these Spirit Battles as her doppelganger! Or is it the other way around? Defeating this incredibly powerful Spirit will grant you a Spirit that’s either too powerful, or that’s way too powerful.
Número 4: Classic Mode!
Lastly! We journey through her Classic Mode run and all that implies! Discounting the Bonus Stage, this would be her journey through Classic Mode (as envisioned by yours truly)!
Puzzling Magic Fun!
Puzzling Magic Fun! ( パズルの楽しみ旅 , lit. “Puzzle Fun Trip”) is all about exploring the history of puzzle games that are currently represented in Smash Bros. in one way or another, and Arle having some crazy stock battles against all of their protagonists! All stages have music from the Puyo game closest to that release.
STAGE 1
Vs. Yoshi
Stage: Yoshi’s Island (Melee)
Music: Theme of Puyo Puyo
The first fight is against the least alike of the puzzle games: Yoshi’s Cookie, from 1992! Yoshi’s Cookie is a fun title with an interesting sliding mechanic, but it’s far from being similar to Puyo Puyo, yes.
STAGE 2
Vs. Mii Swordfighter
Stage: Super Happy Tree
Music: Area A
Our second fight is against Panel de Pon, from 1995, with Mii Swordfighter cosplaying as Lip! Panel de Pon, localized as Puzzle League, is an interesting match-3 puzzle game where you have all your pieces on the board at all times, and you line up your strategy to let gravity take its course and do crazy chains!
STAGE 3
Vs. Ryu & Ken
Stage: Suzaku Castle
Music: Request from Puyo Puyo
Wait, Ryu and Ken!? Well, wouldn’t you know, they starred in their own puzzle game, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. This 1996 puzzle game mimicked Puyo Puyo in that pieces fall in pairs and you line them up on your board, but you can’t erase your blocks without using colored Power Gems, which shakes things up plenty. This frantic puzzle game saw a soft re-release in 2017 for mobile devices, too, although it had a short run.
STAGE 4
Vs. Kirby & King Dedede
Stage: Dream Land GB (Ω)
Music: NORMAL MODE
KIRBY’S AVALANCHE WASN’T REAL AND IT NEVER EXISTED. Now that THAT is out of the way, Kirby and the Dream Land 2 crew starred in their own puzzle game in 1997 with Kirby’s Star Stacker. In this game, pieces fell in pairs, and you lined them up on your board to get Star Blocks in-between the same Animal Buddies to start a combo, which would make stars fall on the board and fill in the empty spaces. If you knew how to line stuff up on the board, you could rack up some insanely crazy combos!
STAGE 5
Vs. Pikachu & Jigglypuff & Pokémon Trainer
Stage: Pokémon Stadium
Music: Puyo Puyo FUNderworld!
Pokémon’s first original incursion in the puzzle game world was with 2005′s Pokémon Trozei! (or Pokémon Link! for the Eurobuddies) This game followed through with gameplay similar to that of Yoshi’s Cookie, but taking the advantage of both screens for some really fast gameplay. You also had to line them up in a straight line, but how you did it was up to you.
... wait a minute, don’t you think we’re forgetting something important?
STAGE 6
Vs. Dr. Mario & Peach (White)
Stage: 75m (Ω)
Music: The Puyo Puyo Song - In-Game Version
The original, colored reference for Puyo Puyo lies within Dr. Mario, of course! The NES 1990 classic which slowly evolved through time, and the one puzzle game that’s almost too similar to Puyo Puyo. You line up colors to form a straight line of four between viruses and pills, to erase those critters from your bottle. In VS mode, this actually means trouble for your foe, as randomly colored balls will fall on their field!
And, finally...
BOSS STAGE
Vs. Dracula
Music: Final of Puyo Puyo / Double Trouble Finale!
And for the last stage we beat Satan himself! Well, the one that was the closest, to be honest. We’re still fighting the final battle in a castle, against a devilish character with one cool cape with strong connections to Satan himself. And while Castlevania did have a puzzle game in the form of Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night in 2010 for mobile devices, I still believe that playing make-believe with Dracula portraying as the Dark Prince is a better way to go.
Número 5: Anything else I forgot across all entries?
Entrance animation: appearing from a light portal, similar to how she gets transported into Grimp in Puyo Puyo Chronicle.
Taunts:
Up Taunt: her victory pose from Madou: Saturn.
Side Taunt: a half-flip, ending with a V-sign, with Carbuncle bouncing.
Down Taunt: Carbuncle running around Arle with her following him as she spins.
Victory screen:
Theme: Final Results! (Story Clear) [Remix]
Carbuncle hops on Arle’s back as she does a V-sign, saying “We’re number one!”, recreating their victory pose from 15th Anniversary. This one also doubles as her Team Battle victory pose when she’s a team member.
Carbuncle bounces around Arle, up until she catches him mid-air as she says “We did it, Carby!”, mimicking their art from Puyo Puyo Quest’s Arle & Carbuncle card.
A dramatic zoom-in, as she enthusiastically raises her arm, vigorously, recreating her pose in the final screen of the original Puyo Puyo. Here, she can say either “Yes!” or “Big victory!”.
Mii Costumes:
Rulue’s Hat & Rulue’s Cape (Mii Brawler)
Schezo’s Hat & Schezo’s Outfit (Mii Swordfighter)
Puyo Hat
Sig’s Hat & Sig’s Outfit (Mii Gunner): The gun would be the red arm.
AND THUS I HAVE COMPLETED THE GLORY OF ARLE IN SMASH, how I think her content would be, which Spirits would be featured, which music would be included, and just how much content would be packed with her inclusion. I have to say, it feels incredible to finally have it all out of my chest, it feels hella relieving. If anyone wants to use this whole series as a basis for their own character requests, feel free to do so.
As of this post, this marks the last time, for real, that I’ll write about Arle in Smash Bros., because it has been a fun ride playing make-believe. But the truth is, she’s not in the game, thus the only thing we can do, is dream. And dream, I did. This is a testament of my love to the character herself, to the franchise, and to everyone who also wanted her in the game. If anyone involved in Smash Bros. reads this, know that while this is my utmost wish, I’d be happy with any representation of the Puyo series proper in Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Special thanks, once again, to everyone from the Puyo for Smash Discord, to my friends at the Edge of Forever, to everyone who read and shared this nonsense, and to everyone who helped with this massive creation by adding their own inputs from time to time.
And of course, to Masahiro Sakurai and Satoru Iwata, creators of Super Smash Bros., and to Mizuki Hosoyamada, current director of the Puyo Puyo franchise.
Making a little reference to SEGA themselves, if you count her, the Carby cameo in her taunts and victory screens, her stage, the tracks, and the Spirits from the Spirit Board, all of that adds up to 24! Don’t ask how, really.

Code Geass: Paladins of Voltron Chapter 25: Battle Plan
There was complete silence on the bridge as the video message closed. The Paladins stood still, watching Lelouch closely. It was clear that Nunnally was now a captive of Britannia, one of the things that Lelouch feared the most. They all knew that when it came to his sister, Lelouch could act purely on his emotions, barely thinking things through.
However, that was when Lelouch was alone. He had support now. Friends and allies that he could rely on to help him.
A good thing too, as the next thing they knew, Lelouch had spun around and tried to make a beeline for the Black Lion's elevator.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Lelouch, where do you think you're going?!" Kallen shouted, grabbing onto his wrist tightly.
"What does it look like?" Lelouch snarled and fiercely tried to free his arm, but the Red Paladin held firm.
"You-you're not just going to go barging in there without a plan, are you?!" Rivalz exclaimed, wide-eyed.
"Every second Nunnally's, there is a second far too long!" Lelouch shouted, still struggling vainly against the Kallen, C.C., and even Coran's holds.
Then abruptly, Suzaku stepped directly in front of Lelouch and placed his hands on his shoulders. He looked the Black Paladin dead in the eye. "Lelouch! You need to calm down! We'll rescue her! But you running in there like a psycho isn't going to make her condition better!"
"Suzaku's right Lelouch," Milly agreed with a determined frown, "First, we should find out where she is. Rai, see if you can track that signal. Maybe we can pinpoint where that broadcast was!"
"Already on it!" Rai growled as he practically flung himself into his chair, barely waiting for the screen to load correctly before getting to work.
"I know I likely don't need to point this out," C.C. said, calmly releasing Lelouch after she ensured he wouldn't run again, "but we could be walking headfirst into a trap. Nunnally is the perfect bait for it."
"What makes you think that?" Shirley asked nervously, eyes shifting back and forth between Lelouch and the witch.
C.C. hummed thoughtfully, "What I mean is that it is likely that Charles either knows or strongly suspects that Lelouch is a part of Voltron. Hell, for all we know, he may have figured out that Lelouch is Zero too. He knows Lelouch and knows that he loves Nunnally, and will do anything for her safety. Therefore, Nunnally becomes the perfect bait to try and keep Lelouch, and by extension, Voltron in check."
"Whoa, time out!" Rivalz exclaimed, his hands making the 't' sign, "If the Emperor already knows that Lelouch is Zero, why didn't he just say so in that broadcast? If you ask me, that could've been the perfect time to expose his identity."
"Best guess? He likely kept the information to himself because if word got out that a member of the Royal Family was openly opposing Britannia, other nations like the EU and the Chinese Federation could start to believe that the Emperor is losing control of his Empire. This would only encourage them to fight back against Britannia even harder," C.C. theorized.
"That makes sense," Milly nodded, "I know there was a bit of contention between Britannia and the Chinese Federation as of late. So caution is understandable."
"So then… what do we do?" Shirley asked, looking around nervously.
"We won't be able to do anything without more information," Suzaku quickly said, "it's just like with the Balmera. We can't just start shooting down the Viceroy's Palace. Until we locate Nunnally, we're stuck."
Lelouch, having been quiet for a majority of the conversation, could still feel panic bubbling in the pit of his stomach. He knew what Suzaku said was the most logical, but his instincts to protect his sister were waging war within him right now.
He suddenly felt a weight against his leg and looked down to see that Kaguya had hugged him again, "Don't worry Lelouch, Nunnally will be okay! And you'll definitely get her back, now that you have the Goddess of Victory on your side!"
The group chuckled at Kaguya's declaration, but only a tiny curve shook Lelouch's lips, his own heart still pounding in his ears.
A hand on his shoulder made him jump. Turning to the source, he saw Rai looking at him, having gotten up from his Paladin seat.
"Lelouch, I can't read minds, but I believe I know what you're thinking. And… I understand. I feel the same way about Sophie and my mom. Ever since I discovered that they're still alive, I've wanted to find them. But I know I can't just fly out blindly into the next galaxy we come across. That won't get me anywhere. Until I know for sure where they are, all I can do is keep looking. So I promise, once I find where Nunnally is, you'll be the first to know."
"Rai…" Lelouch murmured, staring back at the Green Paladin. Another hand suddenly jerked him forward a little.
"You want Nunnally back, right?" Kallen asked, a stern frown on her face. She continued before Lelouch could answer honestly, "Then you need to be Zero right now. Nunnally needs Zero right now. So use that big, scary, strategic brain of yours that I know you have and figure out how to save her!"
Kallen's statement was the last bullet needed to break through Lelouch's wall of despair and panic. He straightened himself, eyes set, and determined.
"I will do everything to help as well," Sayoko said, giving a short bow, though her eyes and posture were heavy with regret, "It's my fault that Lady Nunnally was captured after all."
Lelouch hated to put Sayoko on the spot, but he had to know, "How did this happen?"
He hoped his voice didn't sound harsh, but if it did, Sayoko paid it no mind.
"I don't know how, but Lady Nunnally and I were tracked to the safe house that you had set up. When I found out that we'd been discovered, I quickly made arrangements to leave. But it seems I wasn't fast enough. Forces led by your brother, Schneizel, surrounded us. I held back as many as possible, but at one point, when I was fleeing with your sister, I was knocked unconscious and fell into a pit. Whether it was a trap set prior or not, I don't know. By the time I woke up, I was alone, and Lady Nunnally was gone."
Then, to Lelouch's shock, Sayoko collapsed to her knees and bowed to Lelouch deeply, "I'm sorry, my Lord, I failed you."
It took a couple of seconds for Lelouch to shake himself from his shock, but he quickly knelt next to the kunoichi. "You're not to blame for this, Sayoko," he gently lifted the maid up, "I was a fool. I should've suspected that Schneizel would figure it out. He always has, and likely always will be, the worst foe I've faced. Minus Zarkon, of course."
"'Your worst foe'?" Shirley said, "What do you mean, Lulu?"
"Let me put it this way," Lelouch said, turning to face them again, "We used to play chess together when I was still living in Aries Villa, and he was the one person I could never beat."
Various reactions erupted from everyone in the room, gasps of shock or wide eyes, and Rai paused from his rapid typing. Coran and Allura, in particular, looked stunned. They still remembered when Lelouch and Coran played their first chess match against each other back on Arus, and Coran had commented to Allura later that Lelouch was likely on par with King Alfor in skill, maybe even more so. So to hear that there was someone that not even Lelouch could beat was both shocking and terrifying.
"Wait... wait... hold on a second!" Rivalz sputtered after picking his jaw up off the floor, "Your brother, actually beat you. At chess. I've seen you take on pretty much every kind of noble out there, and you always total them in ten minutes or less! And you're saying that there's someone that you could never beat!?"
"Yes," Lelouch replied quite bluntly.
Stunned silence followed as everyone digested this new information.
"Okay… that's a little terrifying," Shirley said, voicing everyone's thoughts at that moment.
"Anyway, that's a topic for another time," Lelouch said, waving his hand in dismissal, "Rai, make sure to scan every Britannian communications link that you can to track Nunnally. When you do, inform me immediately."
"You'll be the first to know," Rai nodded before practically diving back into his seat.
"Anything I can do, Lelouch?" Kaguya asked, smiling kindly. Lelouch smiled back at the young woman. He remembered that Kaguya had been one of the few people at the Kururugi Shrine to be kind to him and his sister. He remembered the two girls becoming close friends. Therefore, he knew precisely what Kaguya could do.
"All I can ask of you right now, Kaguya, is to be a friend for Nunnally when rescue her. Can you do that?" Lelouch asked, bending down to Kaguya's eye level.
Kaguya nodded happily, "Of course I can do that!"
Lelouch nodded before straightening again, "All of you be ready to leave at any time. The second Rai locates Nunnally; we're moving out." He then swiftly turned to leave the bridge, "C.C., come with me."
"Where are you going?" Kallen asked as she and the others watched him leave.
Lelouch stalled for a moment, looking over his shoulder, "I'm gathering the Black Knights. It's time that they know the truth about me… and about Geass," everyone's eyes widened at this proclamation, "Best to get this out of the way."
o~o
"Schneizel, what is the meaning of this?!" Cornelia roared as her brother calmly walked into the Viceroy's throne room. The moment that the broadcast had ended, Cornelia had requested… no… demanded that her brother come to the Viceroy's Palace immediately. Standing close by her were Nonette and Euphemia, as well as Guilford and Darlton. The two knights were positioned closer to the walls while her sister and the knight stood side-by-side with her. Cornelia's eyes glared angrily towards the Prime Minister as he approached with his own loyal subordinate, Earl Kanon Maldini.
"If you knew that Nunnally was alive all this time, and had her with you, why weren't we informed of this immediately?!" Cornelia shouted again.
"Your reaction is understandable dear sister," Schneizel answered calmly, "but please think rationally for a moment."
"RATIONALLY?!" Cornelia shrieked and nearly drew her sword from her waist.
"Viceroy!" Darlton gasped, stepping forward for a moment, "Please, we must hear him out before any rash actions are taken!"
Cornelia growled before forcing herself to calm down, as she knew he was correct. Despite his protest, though, Darlton and Guilford looked less than pleased with the Prime Minister too.
"Thank you, Lord Darlton," Schneizel nodded, "I do apologize for my actions as of late. However, you must first understand when I found Nunnally, I was given direct orders from the Emperor himself to not reveal her presence until deemed necessary."
This statement only further confused the group rather than calm them down. Why on Earth would the Emperor want Nunnally's presence hidden? He could have at least told them about it.
"What about Prince Lelouch?" Guilford cautiously asked, "Have you been able to find him yet? Or any of the students from Ashford Academy?"
"Unfortunately, we haven't found any new information regarding Prince Lelouch, or any of the other Ashford Academy students," Kanon answered with a shake of his head. Though the Ashford students were not top of the priority list, everyone also knew that if they could track and find even one of the students, that could lead them to find Prince Lelouch.
"Can… we see Nunnally right now?" Euphemia timidly asked.
"We apologize, Princess Euphemia, but that is not possible at this time," Kanon answered with a sad expression.
"What?! Why?" Euphie gasped, tears gathering in her eyes.
Cornelia scowled angrily, not liking the answer either, "Yes, why the hell can't we see our own sister?!"
"I'm truly sorry, Cornelia," Schneizel said, his tone pacifying as he held his hands up in emphasis, "but Nunnally is in a very fragile and emotional state. We don't want to add any more stress than she's already experiencing."
This response didn't seem to dull Cornelia's ire even slightly as she shot her brother an almost murderous glare, "Schneizel… if you do anything to her…"
"Cornelia, do you truly believe that I would harm our own sister?" he asked plainly.
The Viceroy scoffed, "To be honest… I really don't know what to think of you right now, brother."
Schneizel frowned, "That hurts. Truly, it does. But I can understand that. Our family is quite broken, isn't it?"
Though she didn't voice it aloud, Euphemia immediately agreed with that statement. It had been for a long time. Perhaps longer than before she had been born. What happened to Lelouch and Nunnally did little to nothing to repair it and only spread the rift among the Royal Family broader. A tear escaped Euphie's eye.
With this statement, Schneizel turned to leave, but Maldini stalled and turned back to the trio, "Princess Nunnally is scheduled to be transported back to the homeland before day's end. Prince Schneizel and I can pull some strings to have your unit serve as her protection, Viceroy."
"Indeed," Schneizel glanced over his shoulder again, "Don't worry, once Nunnally is home, you'll all be seeing her again very soon."
With these final words, the Prime Minister and his escort left the throne room, the door closing behind them. Cornelia's scowl never left her face.
Guilford sent his princess a wary look, "Viceroy, pardon my ignorance, but how could you distrust the Prime Minister. He's your own brother."
Cornelia rolled her eyes before addressing him with a sigh, "Guliford, if you grew up with a man like him, you would have some trust issues yourself. I promise you that."
Meanwhile, as Schneizel and Maldini continued their walk away from the throne room, Maldini turned to the prince, "Are you sure you know what you're doing, Prime Minister?"
Schneizel turned to his subordinate with a small smile, "Kanon, do you trust me?"
His answer was immediate, "Of course, my Prince," he said with a small bow.
"Then rest assured, I have everything under control."
As the two exited the palace, Schneizel remained deep in thought. There were very few things in this world that would make him lose his composure. However, he could certainly add the arrival of that Voltron machine to the list of things that did. Though he would never admit this aloud to anyone, when he saw the footage of Voltron for the first time, he had nearly fallen out of his office chair. After a brief discussion with Earl Asplund, Schneizel agreed with the scientist that the machine, mainly the Lions that made it up, couldn't possibly be of Earth origin. Otherwise, he was sure they would have discovered the Blue Lion long before its debut two months prior.
That brought him to his second line of inquiry. According to confirmed reports, Zero, as well as the seven Ashford students, disappeared around the same time that the Blue Lion showed itself. He already had strong suspicions that Zero and Lelouch were one and the same. As it was true that Lelouch had been one of the seven missing students, not to mention that there were, conveniently, seven Lions that made up the machine, it was likely that his brother hadn't been found yet because he was off with the other teenagers with Voltron.
His thoughts eventually led Schneizel to think about their father, the Emperor. Was he aware of this as well? And if so, that would undoubtedly complicate some of Schneizel's plans.
The Emperor's order to transport Nunnally to the homeland was no doubt a ploy to try and lure Zero, a.k.a. Lelouch, out. She was the perfect bait for it, after all.
If his brother was to come for Nunnally, and Schneizel had little doubt that he would, he hoped to at least have a talk with him to resolve all this violence peacefully, if not for Nunnally's sake, then the world's as well.
o~o
Lelouch and C.C., along with the space mice that were perched calmly on her shoulders, carefully watched to gauge the reactions of the Black Knights as they all sat in one of the castle lounges. Lelouch had just finished telling them his history, his current mission, and finally about the Geass power that he, along with three other Paladins, now wielded, though he didn't mention which ones.
From what they could see, the group's initial reaction was one of stunned shock, though he did spot Inoue and Minami shooting him looks of pity and sympathy.
"And that's everything?" Ohgi eventually asked as he was still trying to process not only the information given to them but also the fact that they were being trusted with it as well.
"Yes, that's everything," Lelouch nodded, "Now, you all know."
"Damn…" Tamaki murmured with an expression that Lelouch couldn't quite identify.
"Heh, our mysterious, masked leader is a Prince of Britannia? Who knew?" Inoue chuckled in disbelief.
Lelouch bowed his head slightly with a pained expression, "I do apologize for hiding my identity from you, but I'm sure if you knew who I initially was, you wouldn't have been as inclined to join me."
Ohgi waved the apology off, "Don't worry, we get it."
"So… this Geass thing, what exactly does it do?" Sugiyama asked cautiously from the back.
C.C. shrugged slightly, "It depends on the user. No Geass given out by people like me is the same as any other. It can be anything from reading minds to turning invisible. The particular one that Lelouch has is called Absolute Obedience. If it's activated and he makes direct eye contact with you, he can order you to do anything he wants, and you'll have no choice but to obey him no matter how outrageous the order. The drawback that we've noticed so far is that it only works once per person. In other words, once he gives you an order using Geass, he can't do it a second time."
C.C. then smirked playfully, "So, anyone of you want to form a contract with me? Get some mysterious, supernatural power?"
A couple of the Black Knights couldn't tell if she was serious or not as Ohgi smiled nervously and scratched the back of his neck, "Uh… no thanks. Maybe some other time?"
C.C. didn't seem offended by the statement. Only more amused as she chuckled.
"I have a question," Tamaki said, raising his hand, "What's with the rats?"
To the surprise of the Black Knights, the mice seemed to actually take offense to that comment. All four of them simultaneously turned and glared at the red-head. The skinny light blue one started hissing at him, its hackles raised.
"They are not rats, they're Altean mice," Lelouch emphasized, "They somehow managed to sneak into Princess Allura's cryopod and were asleep inside it with her for the last 10,000 years. Due to that, she somehow developed a telepathic link with them. Basically, she can understand them, and they can understand her."
Tamaki shrugged and nodded, apparently accepting the answer.
Despite that pleasant interruption though, Lelouch still had a serious question for the Black Knights, "Anyway, now that you know who I am, and why I'm doing this, I'll understand if you don't want to work with me anymore. After all, I'm the prince of a nation that you all hate so much, so if you want to leave, I won't stop you."
"Well, even if we did want to leave, you could just use that Geass thing to make us stay," Inoue pointed out matter-of-factly.
"I won't do that," Lelouch answered immediately and folded his arms, "That's one of the few things I'll never do. Otherwise, I'm no different from that man I have to call a father."
Ohgi stood up from his spot on the couch, "You saved all of our lives in Shinjuku, and showed us that we're more than just simple rebels. You proved that we can stand up to Britannia. You've given us hope when we thought we'd lost it. And if what you've told us about the Galra is true too, that they're more dangerous than Britannia, you're going to need all the help you can get. You're our leader, and the fact that you willingly revealed not only your history but your power to us means that you trust us. We trust you, and we're with you."
"Heh, yeah, you're stuck with us, kid," Tamaki smirked as the rest of the Black Knights smiled and nodded in agreement.
Lelouch couldn't help but smile in relief as he looked at all of the Black Knights. He was extremely grateful that they were willing to put their faith in him, and he was going to do everything he could to not let them down.
"I thank you all," he said with a nod.
"So…" Yoshida started, "Sorry, but what exactly do we call you now?"
"Hm? Oh!" Lelouch gasped when he realized what Yoshida meant, "Well, out on the field and on missions, you'll address me as either Zero or the Black Paladin. It'll depend on the situation. Otherwise, when we're just in the Castle like this, just calling me Lelouch is fine."
"Alright," Ohgi nodded, grateful that Yoshida had thought to ask, "Also, Lelouch, we were all wondering... Do you have any plans yet regarding your sister? And if you do, is there anything you need us to do?"
"...We're currently trying to gather information regarding Nunnally," he told them after a moment, "but as of right now, I can't think of anything where I'll need your assistance yet. I do not doubt anyone here, but as of right now, we simply lack the resources we need for you all in a fight."
"Coran and Allura are currently making arrangements with Lady Kaguya and the other heads of Kyoto to have some Knightmares brought up to the Castle," C.C. added. "Coran is going to try and see if he equip them properly for space use, as well as prepare the needed equipment you'll need for your own use. If his modifications are successful, the Black Knights will be the owners of likely the most advanced Knightmare frames on the entire planet."
This statement sent a wave of excitement through the Black Knights. They all looked at one another with broad smiles on their faces. Even Ohgi's eyes sparkled excitedly.
"Ha! I'm really starting to dig this whole 'teaming up with aliens' gig we've got going on!" Tamaki grinned.
Before any other comments could be made, the intercom crackled to life.
"Lelouch. We need you on the bridge immediately!"
o~o
After a quick farewell to the Black Knights, Lelouch practically sprinted to the bridge with C.C. hot on his trail. The other Paladins, as well as Coran, Sayoko, and Kaguya, were already there waiting for him.
"Did you-?"
Before the Black Paladin could finish his sentence, Rai pulled up a radio message that he managed to intercept. On it, they could hear the voices of several officers discussing Nunnally's transportation from Area 11 to Pendragon, Britannia's capital.
"Have you managed to trace it at all?" Lelouch asked Rai urgently.
"Already have coordinates," the Green Paladin promptly answered.
"You have a plan, Lulu?" Milly asked, turning to him.
"Yes," he nodded, "if everything goes according to plan, we should be able to get in, get Nunnally, and get out fairly quickly. However, I want to make one thing clear. And that is that Voltron is not going to be used for this mission, not if we can help it. Any objections?"
All of the Paladins shook their heads. They didn't need an explanation. Not only could using Voltron make it more challenging to rescue Nunnally, but from the beginning, the goal was to keep Britannian casualties to a minimum. They were going to need those soldiers after all, once the Galra caught up to them.
"Good. Alright, this is our plan of attack," Lelouch typed into the computer, bringing up an image of the transport, the Avalon, that Nunnally would be escorted in. "We need to wait until the transport that has Nunnally is in the air. This will allow us not only more room to maneuver, but will also allow us to inflict as little damage to the transport as possible. We can also avoid combat with any Knightmare frames. We'll have Zen, Zerith, and Zinnia stationed underwater in the Pacific Ocean until further notice. Meanwhile, Aka, Yoru, Polaris, and Maeraka will fly in the air and keep any Britannian aircraft at bay, as well as drop off myself, Sayoko, Rai, and Shirley at these three points of the ship," three parts of the Avalon highlighted in red. "Rai and Shirley will take port and starboard and sabotage the engines. While they're doing that, Sayoko and I will search for Nunnally. Once we have her, you'll pick us up. Worst case scenario, though, the Paladins that are on the Avalon can use the bonds we have with our Lions to call them to us. After that, we return to the Castle. Any questions?"
Most of the Paladins shook their heads, but Suzaku, surprisingly, raised his hand slightly, "Lelouch, I...I was wondering. Could I somehow come with you to get Nunnally? She's my friend too, and I want to help more."
Lelouch smiled but shook his head, "I appreciate it, Suzaku, but we can't risk Britannia learning your identity, and you already know why."
Suzaku grimaced, but nodded, "Yeah, got it."
"Alright, we leave in half a varga. Be ready!"
As everyone scrambled to prepare for departure, Lelouch managed to snag Sayoko's arm.
"Sayoko, may we speak in private?" he asked politely.
The maid nodded, and Lelouch led them down the hall, not too far from the bridge.
"Do you have it with you?" he asked urgently once he was sure they were alone.
Sayoko immediately reached into her pocket and pulled out an object wrapped in fabric. She handed it to him without protest.
Lelouch took the object and carefully unwrapped the cloth. Underneath it was a knife. But not just any knife. The metal of the blade was a purple color and had a familiar symbol engraved at the bottom of the hilt.
Lelouch bit his lip. Theories and possibilities all pooled within his mind, some making more or less sense than the last.
"Master, if I may ask, what exactly is this? How did you get it?" Sayoko asked.
Lelouch took a breath before answering... "...It belonged to my mother. I came across it completely by accident. Details aren't needed, but let's just say that the noble I was playing against that day bit off a little more than he could chew with the gamble. In exchange for keeping half of the money, he offered this knife as a replacement. He told me it was one of a kind and that it didn't need much maintenance. I was feeling generous that day, so I agreed. I will admit, though… the second I touched the knife, I felt some sort of… connection to it… does that sound strange?"
"Not at all," Sayoko shook her head.
"Anyway, a couple days later, when I was taking a closer look at it, I found a note hidden in the knife's sheath. That's when I found out it belonged to my mom. I also learned the name of her father this way. How that nobleman got it, I don't know, but I was actually able to learn a lot about my mom's family because of this. My mom was born a civilian, and her father, my grandfather, was a fireman, and he died like one too. Lost his own life in a house fire while he was trying to save a little girl..." he smiled sadly. When he learned about the man he would've called grandfather, he was sad that he hadn't been able to meet him. He seemed like a good man to have raised a woman as wonderful as his mother.
"...Is there another reason you're so interested in this knife, my lord?" Sayoko asked.
Lelouch's face went from a whimsical smile to severe and determined again, "Before we arrived back here, we, Voltron, ran into a Galra operative who was working against the Empire. He apparently was a member of a Galra resistance group. They call themselves 'The Blade of Marmora.'" Lelouch tightly held the knife by the hilt, "All of their operatives apparently carried blades just like this. Though the one that Ulaz was carrying was much bigger than this one…"
"...What does this mean then?" Sayoko asked, her face looking troubled.
Lelouch shook his head, "That can wait for now. Nunnally needs us."
Sayoko nodded and bowed, "Of course."
Before she could leave to prepare herself, Lelouch grabbed her arm again, "Wait… Sayoko. I just wanted to tell you, I'm thankful for everything you've done for Nunnally and me all these years. You know who we are, and yet you've stayed by our side through everything. I don't think I can thank you enough for that."
Sayoko smiled and placed a hand on Lelouch's shoulder. He looked up at as Sayoko caught his eyes with her own, "Lelouch. You and Lady Nunnally are both precious to me. I think of you as my own. And I want to promise you right now, if I ever meet that monster that you call your father, the only thing he will get from me is a knife between his eyes."
Lelouch's eyes widened. He knew that Sayoko was dedicated to her work, but to hear her say that she would kill someone so willingly aloud took him by surprise.
Before he could think, he pulled Sayoko into a hug. The ninja stiffened for a moment before quickly returning it.
As they pulled away, Sayoko smirked at her young lord, "Now, let's go get your sister."
Lelouch smirked back, "Right."

"Attention all personnel. The Avalon is scheduled for departure in ten minutes," a voice announced over the radio.
Sitting alongside the massive ship that her brother was currently prepping, Cornelia sat impatiently within her newly repaired Gloucester within an escort ship. Nonette was stationed in a separate ship on the other side, with the Lancelot and Schneizel's research team as well. As Kanon and Schneizel promised, they managed to make arrangements for Cornelia to be with the group that would escort Nunnally back to the homeland. While she still wasn't allowed to see her sister, much to her great annoyance, she was at least grateful that she would know Nunnally was safe. And once she finished officially cleaning up the terrorism in Area 11 and left it to her sister, Euphemia, the first thing she planned to do was visit Pendragon to see Nunnally. She would assure her that she nor Lelouch had been abandoned, that she had secretly never stopped looking, and wouldn't until she had physical evidence of their deaths.
Being unable to save them during Japan's conquest was a regret that weighed heavily on her shoulders, and she planned to do everything in her power to make up for it in the future.
Meanwhile, at the ground level, Jeremiah Gottwald and a small squadron of soldiers, including Villetta, were standing guard on the runway. They watched as the last of the supplies was loaded into the Avalon.
The soldier couldn't help but frown with frustration, "This is unacceptable… I should be on that ship, protecting Princess Nunnally personally!"
His radio wasn't on, so he received no response to his lament. Thinking of the young princess, though, his mind soon wandered to darker, more painful thoughts. He remembered being there on the day that Lady Marianne had been cruelly shot down. And he had been on his first assignment as a guard as well. It had been his chance to prove his loyalty to Lady Marianne and the Empire!
But he failed. His loyalty didn't carry through. And now, the woman that he loved and respected was gone, and her children followed shortly after.
Then, just over two weeks ago, he received the news that nearly had him fall to his knees with joy. Prince Lelouch and Princess Nunnally were alive! And in good health from what he could tell. Once the Viceroy learned of this, she had all units, all units, out searching for clues on where to find her brother and sister.
Jeremiah had leaped on the opportunity to prove himself once more. It had to be him that found them. Not only could it repair his reputation and honor that he had lost due to the 'Orange' incident (he grit his teeth just thinking about it), but also redeem himself from his failure eight years prior. And once Prince Lelouch and Princess Nunnally were safe once more with the Royal Family, he would never leave their side again. He would do everything in his power to keep them safe and happy.
Due to his prior history with Lady Marianne, he was one of the first to piece together Ashford Academy's connection with vi Britannia siblings. He felt like an absolute fool for not thinking about it before, either! The Ashford family had been one of Lady Marianne's top supporters. They had lost nearly everything when she had died, so it would make sense, therefore, for that same family to provide the vi Britannians with refuge.
But when they finally had been given the okay to infiltrate the school, they were once again too late.
The clubhouse that they found out the vi Britannians had been living in was deserted. There were no signs of life, and the home appeared to have been uninhabited for a week at the most. When he heard Villetta recheck the school attendance, his heart gave another pang of despair when she told him that their names, Lamperouge, had been removed from the school.
This discovery only proved to Jeremiah another horrifying revelation. The vi Britannia children weren't being held captive like some conspiracy theorists thought, but it was more likely that the children were purposefully hiding from Britannia. The more he thought about it though, the more it made sense.
The day that Prince Lelouch confronted his father was a harrowing one. Jeremiah's loyalty was only to his Lady Marianne, and being one of the ones there to witness the Emperor openly saying that his son was nothing to him had made his blood boil. To this day, he wondered why he didn't act differently. If he had defended the prince in that throne room, or at the very least insisted on going with them to Japan, things likely could've ended up differently.
Jeremiah was shaken from his thoughts, though, when the ground beneath his Knightmare rattled. Sirens and warning sounds rang wildly throughout the base. Knightmares scrambled into defensive positions, and soldiers rushed to finish the Avalon's preparations.
Then with a fantastic boom, three of the Voltron Lions, the black, green, and orange one, landed hard right in the middle of the base, tails thrashing, and teeth bared.
Jeremiah had been unable to get a good look at the Lions when they had first appeared at Narita. Now that he was practically standing in front of them, he could understand the panic that they seemed to inflict on many of the soldiers that day.
However, this didn't deter Jeremiah. If the Lions were here than that had to mean-
"ZERO!" Jeremiah shouted as he raced towards the Lions in his Knightmare.
"Lord Jeremiah, wait!" Villetta shouted after him.
"Zero! If you're here, come out and face me!" he shouted, "Come and face Jeremiah Gottwald!"
"Well, well," a voice came from the Black Lion, "it's been a while, Jeremiah. So, you're still in the army? I'd love to stay and catch up, but I'm afraid I don't have time right this minute, Orange boy."
There it was. That name. The name that now made Jeremiah a near pariah among the rest of the soldiers. Red slowly bled into Jeremiah's vision.
"Orange?!" he howled in rage as he stared at the Black Lion, and he could swear the Lion itself was smirking at him as it waved its tail haughtily, "DIE!"
Jeremiah charged forward in a fury with his Sutherland. Before he could land a single blow though, the Black Lion's mouth opened, and a single laser blast collided with his Knightmare, throwing it backward in pieces as it erupted in flames.
"Lord Jeremiah!" Villetta gasped in horror as she watched another soldier and comrade meet his end right in front of her eyes. Looking behind the Lions, Villetta noticed the Avalon finally beginning to take off, along with the other escort ships. Thinking fast, she raced around the Lions and leaped onto the Avalon just as the loading doors closed. Jeremiah died trying to protect Princess Nunnally. The least she could do was honor his death by doing the same thing in his stead.
As Lelouch watched the Avalon take off, he smirked, "Just as planned. Now!"
Zen, Zerith, and Zinnia all leaped into the air, pointing their heads downward, and began blasting at the ground below, blowing dust and debris up everywhere, making a makeshift smokescreen for their escape.
As the dust finally cleared around the remaining Britannian forces, they were shocked to see the lions had vanished.
o~o
"Alright, phase one complete," Lelouch reported through the comms as the Lions dove underwater, "the Avalon is now airborne. Meet at the rendezvous point."
"Understood!" a chorus of voices responded. It was music to Lelouch's ears. Even now, he was amazed at the support and assistance he was receiving from his fellow Ashford Academy peers.
As the three Lions descended to the seafloor, a reasonable distance ahead of the Avalon's current location, Lelouch spotted the other four Lions gliding towards them. Waiting for them within the other Lions would be Sayoko and C.C., who insisted on accompanying the infiltration team onto the Avalon ship as well.
The trio gently set their Lions down on the ocean floor, before their helmet shields automatically pulled up. They then quickly left the cockpits of each Lion and were soon submerged into the depths of the sea. Using their jetpacks, the three effortlessly glided through the water to the four Lions waiting for them. Lelouch swam into Yoru's mouth, Rai into Polaris, and Shirley into Maeraka.
As Lelouch emerged and entered Yoru's cockpit, Sayoko and Suzaku greeted him with a nod and smile. The maid was now wearing an outfit nearly identical to Allura's and C.C.'s, only hers was red and light blue.
Same with Rivalz when Rai arrived. The two shared a fist bump before bracing for action.
Shirley also made it safely to Maeraka's cockpit, with Milly and C.C. waiting for her.
"I thought you would be with Lulu, C.C.," Shirley said when she got there.
"I decided that I'm going with you at the last minute, Shirley Fennete," the immortal answered.
"Oh… okay," she said awkwardly.
"I probably don't need to remind you, Shirley, but there won't be Galran sentries up there this time. The soldiers we'll be fighting will be real-life people. Are you willing to do what it takes to complete the mission? Are you willing… to kill to do so?"
Milly looked warily between the two women. She had thought about this too and turned her concerned face towards her friend.
"Th-that won't happen!" Shirley stuttered, "I-I'll just use my Geass and sneak past them. I don't have to kill anyone!"
C.C. sighed, "You realize you can't solely rely on your Geass forever. Sooner or later, you'll have to fight and possibly kill, to survive."
Shirley didn't answer. How could she respond to that appropriately?
Turns out, she didn't need to, as the shadow of the Avalon finally fell over them.
"Kallen, use your Geass to check the ship for Nunnally. Is she on there?" Lelouch asked urgently.
Kallen promptly activated her Geass, and her vision zoomed in on the ship. She scanned the interior before her eyes fell on a room near the center of the Avalon. In the middle of the platform, she spotted a familiar figure.
"Yep, she's there. This definitely isn't a decoy!" Kallen confirmed.
"Good! Alright, commence phase two of the operation!"

Also how does Shadow Futaba break the game?
(sorry for taking so long btw, took awhile to type) Oh geez where to begin… Ok I think I should note I did talk about my issues with Shadow Futaba (or at least how I think saying she’s “P4 dungeons but better” is a vast insult to P4 cause no she is not, as well as what I’m about to go in here too but screw it might as well try to restructure my issue on her as a Shadow Self). And I’m only going to talk about the Shadow Self, not the….wholeass issue with how cognition is kind of inconsistent in her dungeon compared to the rest of the game (nor the fact we 100% didn’t need to face the Spinx, the biggest BS fight we are forced to endure when we didn’t have to, second only all the mid bosses in Shido’s dungeon :/).
So like….S!Futaba makes no sense, not sure if I remember saying “break the game” (I probably did), but she does create issues (in both P5 and other games).
So let’s get some points established. Shadows are usually stuff we reject (usually dark/bad but sometimes light/good, S!Futaba is the latter). S!Futaba is the manifestation of Futaba’s will to live, she wants Futaba to live, she also has the positive memories of her mother in her (this isn’t important tho, we’re gonna just focus on the living part cause that’s where the issues are). S!Futaba has no control of her dungeon (due to Futaba’s unstable state I guess). Other Shadow Selves in P5 are shown to be on the same page as their hosts and to be running the show/dungeon (aka they are acting on their desires).
Ok we got it? Good, so where’s the issue. So Futaba’s suppose to be special, not just cause she has a positive Shadow (but that is one thing), but because she has no control over her Palace. Right? So her not having control, would mean she wouldn’t have any influence on Futaba like the other antagonists (for example: Kamoshida, Kamo is def letting his Shadow run wild, Shadow Kamo thinks he’s a king and can do whatever he wants, Kamo irl does the exact same thing irl albeit it in a way he doesn’t get caught outright).
So explain…..why in the every loving fudge does Futaba’s interest line up with S!Futaba? Both don’t want Futaba to really die, that’s why Futaba got in touch with the PT! To keep her from killing herself! If her Shadow was not in control, why would Futaba do something her Shadow would probably want her to do (aka find some sort of help/activate some kind of living instinct)? And we can’t say “oh she was really in control” cause she states she is not. (Cause I mean, if Shadow Futaba embodies Futaba’s will to live, and if she was in control of the Palace, I don’t think Futaba being suicidal would be the issue. If anything the issue would then be that Futaba wants to live so bad, she doesn’t care who might get in her way and will harm other’s to do it…..not sure how without trying to think up unrelated scenarios, tho Suzaku from Code Geass comes to mind, but that’s probably how the extreme desire to live might manifest in a negative-distorted way).
So basically there’s a big issue with no explanation.
We have a character who is rejecting their will to live, and thus a positive shadow self is created to embody it. But that shadow self can’t control the palace, and thus the will of the host and shadow self shouldn’t align…..but some how they do. But how does that make sense? “I don’t want to live and I want to kill myself….but I’ll somehow have enough self preservation to want to still live?” Like……it’s weird. Chie was jealous of Yukiko, but she denied it, and pushed it down, down down down so that she couldn’t wouldn’t acknowledge it, she rejected it, and did things to try to hide the jealousy she didn’t want to acknowledge herself. And was only confronted with it when she was forced to via P4 means. Futaba doesn’t show the same form of rejection to her own life, which makes it really weird she wants to still live, when we’re suppose to believe she doesn’t and her Shadow is the true embodiment of her will/want to live. Cause then were’s the rejecting going on?
There’s also the fact Futaba believes she killed her mom, and the Shadow is supposed to be a rejection of that falsehood (as Futaba didn’t, and representing the truth instead). But for a good portion of the dungeon Shadow Futaba is like “I killed her, I should die, I must die.” And then later she’s like “Lol jk, you totes didn’t kill your mom.” Like pick a thing gdi. Are you being misleading on purpose? Or did the writers just change what you represented half way through? Or did they not realize the implications of their own dialogue? It’s kind a stupid to mislead tbh (and she’s def not helpful, I get you have no control of your palace but you aren’t exactly helping Futaba when we are legit the people who are trying to help Futaba, and Futaba asked and you know this and WHY DO YOU SUCK SO MUCH??? just be more helpful! freaking Metis had more of a reason, no she stated her reason for not trusting SEES, because technically they were going to screw the world over with their guilt/depression. But there’s no reason to distrust the PT, or at least not at least help them more while keeping an eye on them just…..if you had Futaba’s best interests in mind, you’d take the help that was being given a bit more seriously), anyway, it’d make more sense if Shadow Futaba was like “Futaba thinks she killed her mother” instead of “I killed my mom”.
There’s also the fact we have another character who is suicidal in P5 and the way their shadow acts is…..very….very different. While we never see it, it’s heavily implied by the game that Shiho’s shadow is what drove her to attempted suicide in the beginning. But that’s…..strange….. We have Futaba, who has no will to live (at this point theoretically cause the game’s not backing it up what it’s stating anymore, cause again, her Shadow IS her will to live and Shadows are made by rejecting shit so *flips table*). But Shiho’s seems to be embodied by her rejection to her want for death as a means for escape her pain/prison (as Shiho also stated, she didn’t wish to die she wanted to live but also wanted to escape and rejected the idea of killing herself as a means until it became too much). As she said, it felt like someone was whispering in her ear to just do it. And…..that feels more logical as a Shadow Self tbh, she rejects it, but soon succumbs to the shadow (similar to other Palace owners and Mementos bosses do, they succumb to their desire for something, in this case it was probably Shiho’s desire for escape). But why is it so different? Shiho wants to live and rejects death as a means of escape before giving into that desire like so many other Metaverse Shadows and Hosts (aka their desires line up). But Futaba, who apparently rejects living and has a Palace her Shadow can’t control (and thus doesn’t seem to be able to influence Futaba), yet somehow they are on enough of a page to seek help….despite so much apparently working against them…..and there’s no explanation.
Now if Futaba was similar to Shiho, and she was rejecting the idea of killing herself, but her Shadow was the embodiment of her suicidal tendencies she was ignoring. That’d be one thing. Sure she wouldn’t be a Positive Shadow, but it’d at least make sense without trying to bend itself over backwards at the very best, and at the very worst bending over backwards to just fail and create issues and never fix them (which seems to be the case imo). Or you know, just focus on her mom issues and just……nothing to do with the suicidal bs? That part is a bit cleaner, well on Futaba’s end, Shadow Futaba is being wishy washy with her fudging dialogue so who the fudge knows. Or you know, if they wanted to full lean into the positive shadow thing, have Futaba actually not reaching out for help but someone else (maybe Sojiro, or maybe Tae might even know about her) and asking on the Phansite for help with a suicidal girl. That would mean S!Futaba can still be positive, and it doesn’t cause issues with irl Futaba (and they can keep the rest in the dungeon relatively the same, I mean make S!Futaba not be wishy washy with some of the stuff she says but other than that it’d work out better lore/world building wise).
There’s also the fact she sucks as a positive shadow self. She’s emotionless compared to Metis, and sucks at trying to protect her host unlike Metis. For a Shadow that’s really concerned for her host, she doesn’t really show it, nor does she make too much of an attempt. This isn’t so much game breaking as much of a disappointment character/writing wise she is (as both a positive Shadow Self, and just a Shadow Self in general). Like, shit, tbh Metis is basically Aigis’ will to live too (as well as emotions), since Aigis was basically just going to off herself (well basically, she’s gonna turn herself off) at the end of the day too, with Metis being like “Hell no *ties a bunch of pillows and bubble wrap around Aigis* YOU ARE GONNA LIVE, I’M GONNA PROTECT YOU! AND IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOU, LIKE IF YOU DIE, I’M GOING TO KILL EVERYONE IN THIS ROOM AND THEN MYSELF! BUT THAT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN BECAUSE YOU ARE GONNA LIVE TOASTER-ONEE-CHAN!” Like writing wise, S!Futaba is such a downgrade from Metis, like I’m sure some might find Metis annoying, but god DAMN did that Shadow have conviction. And like while I think it’s just bad character writing on S!Futaba’s end, you could very well make the argument that it might be a world building issue too. Aka, “They’re basically the same kind of shadow but they don’t…….act or react in the same way…” And like when I mean same, I don’t mean they need to be exactly the same beat for beat. S!Futaba could totally be a bit more chill than Metis, but having similar consistency to Metis would….just make more sense than not having similar consistency.
#i dunno if Atlus cleared some stuff up that could help#but it's kind of muddled and that doesn't help

"Lelouch, I have a present for you, but don't be alarmed..." Suzaku began then took the Prince's left hand gently into his own then took out a ring from his pocket. He slipped the simple piece of jewelery onto Lelouch's ring finger and was thankful it fit nicely. "Merry Christmas, Lelouch. It's a promise ring. Maybe it's too soon for this with us but I do know I don't see myself with anyone else but you. So...even if we don't marry, this is my promise to be with you always."
He’d been calm up until he felt the small object pushed along his finger. He knew what type of item it was, but when Suzaku specified the exact meaning, he felt his heart beat heavily against his ribs. “A...promise...”
“Me-Merr--” he cleared his throat. “Merry Christmas. I...Suzaku, I couldn’t get you anything...” he said quietly.

I watched Code Geass like a year and a half ago. I am now going to summarize the plot based only on what I remember without looking anything up.
There’s a nation called Britannia that’s doing some major colonization, including taking over Japan. Japanese people are now called “elevens” because Japan is the 11th district of Britannia. The emperor is huge and intimidating looking, and he’s got a bunch of children who are varying amounts of evil.
The main character is Lelouch, who is one child of the emperor (?) but he hates Britannia and wants Japan to be free. His best friend is named Suzaku, who ends up on Britannia’s side. I think his motivation is mostly to provide this show with a “rival” type character? Lelouch also has a disabled sister who is just so pure and good that making her happy is Lelouch’s ultimate motivation in life. There’s also a green-haired (?) mystical spirit (?) girl who sticks around with Lelouch to tell him how his supernatural powers work. Finally, Lelouch has some high school friends who have a lot of screen time but I don’t remember what they do. One of them dies, though.
Lelouch is way smarter than everyone else in the world. You can tell because he beats people at chess and his military opponents all say he has really good strategies. He was also near a car crash and because of that one of his eyes gets this weird symbol and when he gives people commands while making eye contact they are compelled to obey. He joins an underground military resistance of elevens and they do some cool giant robot fights. Lelouch has to hide his identity so he wears this cool mask and goes by the name “Zero”. With his help, the resistance grows and they get to the point where Britannia starts taking them seriously and sends by far the least evil of the emperor’s children over there for peace talks.
In the meantime, one of the high school friends rubs her crotch on the corner of a table while thinking of another high school friend (the one who dies?). They also have a pizza party.
Anyway, then Lelouch’s eye starts going out of control and sometimes things he says turn into supernatural orders when he just meant for them to be regular orders. He’s talking to the not-at-all-evil princess and says “sometimes I can’t control what is and isn’t an order, so I need to be really careful and not say things like ‘kill all the japanese’!” and then that last part was an order so she kills a stadium full of japanese people.
Other things happen, and then Lelouch decides to be a heroin addict instead. Someone he cares about finds him in a construction site and convinces him to stop it. Then the resistance wins and they throw Zero a party but Suzaku kills him which it turns out was Lelouch’s plan all along.

2017-11-12 “Where did you go? Please come back.” Kubo Shiori Blog #28 [ENG]
Hello everyone! Thank you for your continuous hard work every day. I’m Nogizaka46’s 3rd generation member, 1st year high school student, 16-year-old Kubo Shiori. Please take care of me today!
Something I wore at a handshake event. Peace.
That’s right, on the previous blog I wrote that I had no brakes, but I do have brakes after all. So let me correct myself.
The individual handshake event in Kyoto. Thank you very much!!!! There were a lot of people I’ve never met before and we talked about various different things, it was fun. I also received a lot of flowers (´・_・`) I’m always scared that I’ll forget to post pictures of the flowers and I’m sorry that I don’t post them, but this time I checked them over and over again, everything should be here.
They were beautiful. Thank you very much.
There were many people that came to my first time slot that complemented me on my shirt! Even Higuchi-san said that it was cute! I’m glad (´・_・`), , , unfortunately I don’t have a picture…I’ll post it next time. Let’s talk a lot at the next handshake event. Thank you very much. The handshake event in Sendai is quickly approaching, I’m really looking forward to it. When you come, please make sure to get some Kasho Sanzen souvenirs to bring home with you!!
Did I tell you, recently I’ve been addicted to watching dramas and movies. I’ve loved watching dramas for years and I have the tv at home all to myself. Once I’ve fallen in love with a drama I watch it over and over again. Whatever the story, whatever the dialogue I remember it, that’s how many times I watch it (´・_・`) Recently, I’ve been rewatching a drama that I watched when I was in elementary school and as I expected I still love it (´・_・`)
Even after coming this far my hobbies are still increasing! It’s good isn’t it. Let’s keep it up!
November 7th and November 8th, we stood on the stage at Tokyo Dome. “It’s so big” is what I thought, it was even bigger than I imagined it to be.
Being surrounded by that sparkling scenery I truly felt once again that “ahhh standing here is true bliss.” When I felt truly emotional the only words that I could speak were your typical words you speak when describing an event such as this… that’s what I felt.
The stage that the senior members were yearning to achieve for so long, we 3rd generation members barged in halfway through and were also able to stand on that stage as a part of Nogizaka46. The faces of the senior members so radiant and were shinning so brightly. When I looked at the senior members, I thought that it really looked like their dream had come true. Tokyo Dome is the place where Nogizaka46’s dreams came true.
I’ve said this before. I too at this venue, as a member of the group and as an individual, no matter how small, will be a person that makes dreams come true. A person that also gives dreams to others. That’s the resolution I made. What I saw and felt over those 2 days I will make sure to carve them into my memories and never forget them. In the future I will use them to encourage me while I do other activities for Nogizaka46.
I saw many handheld fans, towels and penlights. During the encore I got to ride in one of the carts and I was surprised by how close we got to the fans. “I can see everyone’s faces from this distance,” I thought happily. There’s a lot I want to say but I’m the type of person who can’t properly express their feelings.
I won’t forget that scenery. I’m going to be a person that is suitable for this Nogizaka46. I’m going to exceed everyone’s expectation. Please continue to look after me.
This was the last time I was able to stand on the stage with Himeka-san, and Marika-san. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. That’s what I chanted over and over to myself, and I watched the entire under member corner from backstage. From the first song I couldn’t stop the tears from coming out.
‘Koko ni Iru Riyuu”
The first time I went a Nogizaka46 live concert I didn’t know the calls or anything else but my heart beat after the fans screamed their cheers of encouragement during the line “taiteion ni naru”. Even now I can remember my heart beating in my chest at that moment. In that moment, it is not an exaggeration to say that I was firmly determined. For me “Koko ni Iru Riyuu” is an important song for me. While watching this song performed at Tokyo Dome, I couldn’t help but think that Marika is honestly amazing as a person and as a performer.
“Kimi ha Boku to Awanai Houga Yokatta no kana” is one of my favorite songs. I love watching Himeka-san happily sing it. Watching her walk down the road to the end of her career made me think that she will always be an idol who gave it her all. On the day we first worked together she called out to me unexpectedly. The first time we went out to eat together she was interested in whether or not I was troubled by anything. The smile that she showed me then and the smile she showed upon the stage, were the exact same smile. Himeka-san is always an idol. Even though she has graduated she’ll forever be my idol.
After the performance “Even since Shiichan joined until now I’m glad that you’ve been here. Don’t over do it okay.” Is what she told me. I’ll make sure to treasure those words, I feel like I need to work harder.
Marika-san. Himeka-san. Thank you both so much. I’ll always love you, forever.
The double encore. ‘Kikkake” Himeka-san was side by side with Ikuta-san and Chiharu-san. Watching the original 3rd year middle school trio walking around side by side made me think that one day that would be me. It would be great with the other two good friends’ side by side crying.
Happy birthday Tamami.
This ends the summer of Nogizaka46. This is this hottest and most intense summer I’ve ever had. Momo-chan, Yoda-chan, these two ran through the summer. You two were cool. You’ve both worked really hard.
This may be trivial but, my emojis have been reset. (´・_・`) this little guy doesn’t show up first (´・_・`) please continue to look after me for a long time to come ☺︎
Turn a difficult situation into a chance. These words, right now these are the words I want to hear over and over again. Predicament into chance. Recently there are some lyrics I’ve been hearing over and over again.
Experiences and past data aren’t related. The maximum wind speed in observed history. You can be the first.
‘My past was like this’ or ‘my past was like that’, it’s waste of time to think about. When you think about it, you need to work hard to carve a new path. When you face your weaknesses, I think that you’ll become even stronger than you are now. This is because it’s not easy to face yourself, it’s a challenge. I’ll do my best.
This might be sudden but, I like choir. When I was in middle school, my favorite event was choir. Whether it be singing or listening to a choir I’d cry. Once you sing a song the emotional attachment to it becomes stronger doesn’t it. There are a lot of chorus songs that I like. “anatae-Tabidachi ni Yoseru Message” from ‘the time goddess’. I listen to this song regularly. Everyone, what’s your favorite song?
Suzaku and Shione. I did my own make-up. I think I’ve gotten better.
Joy. Frustration. Sorrow. Pleasure. Everyday these emotions I have inside me make new companions. Recently the number of companions has increased. As expected, they have an important role to play. I think they’re very important. If the day ever comes when they’re comfortable being here I’ll introduce you to them.
Recently there’s been something I’ve been thinking about, I’ve been thinking about making a routine. In order to have a healthier lifestyle and live a more fulfilling life I think it would be good to have a routine. At any rate, I want to get up earlier!!! The early bird catches the worm. ☺︎ Please teach me how to get up earlier. By the way I have three alarm clocks.
Next!
Nogizaka book collection. All 46 members will be on the cover. I did a cover for Ogawa Yoko’s Brahman’s burial. I’m itching to read it. I’m almost done reading all the books I have and so I’ll read it right away when I get it. I want to exchange opinions on it so please make sure to read it ☺︎ Thank you very much. I’ll read it before the next handshake event.
My lovely Ayano-chan series part 2. This is the adorable Ayano-chan with cream around her mouth after eating pancakes. She’s adorable today too. I’ll share more with you in the future.
This is sudden but, the power of words is magnificent isn’t it. You can hear the lip services in my words, there’s no credibility, almost like a lie. That’s what they say. Of course, I kind of understand what they want to say and so I thought I would read through my old blogs. But all the things I felt in my blogs up to now seemed as though I was writing in a diary. I could feel all the emotions that I had at that time; it was my daily diary.
For some reason it seems as though I think too deeply about some things. I see one thing and ten appear in my head (I wonder if this is a good example) therefore I can’t seem to properly structure my words and I end up conveying them in an indirect way. That’s why I think they sound hollow.
And yet there are people that are still reading this blog. The person that is reading this blog right now for example. For your sake, I’m going to continue to write. I want to continue to convey things to you. Thank you for always reading my blogs.
It’d be nice if I could get up early. Everyone do you have work? School? You are all doing your best every day, you’re shinning. I also need to do my best, like everyone else I’m going to work hard. Good night. Please rest well today. Ahh, if you whisper to yourself “you worked hard today” before you sleep do you think you’ll be able to fall asleep? This is for you who worked hard today. I’ll do the same as well. See you tomorrow.
Good night.
I’ll write again soon.
Kubo Shiori.
Timing. It’s something that everyone has. Everyone wants it, but nobody knows when it will come, and so we wait for it. It’s like the lottery isn’t it. Everyone wants to win, but when will it be their time, nobody knows, and everybody is waiting for their time.
Isn’t that why people continue to play? Nobody knows who the winner is going to be, but it is obvious that everyone is equally as likely to win. But when that will be, no one knows. The idea that if you work hard you will win doesn’t apply here. I wonder if anything like that exists in this world.
However, the percentage is the same for everyone. Everyone is equal. Therefore, don’t panic, don’t feel disheartened, hang in there and wait. During that time, I don’t know what kind of change there will be but I want to so see some. During that time, challenge various things, you need to be prepared when that time comes. I too will be moving at that pace.
Don’t work too hard.
With those words in mind, I’ll do my best.

An Interview with Konehead
by Fionn Murray
Ireland’s burgeoning techno scene has seen its fair share of colourful figures drawing influence from the Berlin scene or even Chicago footwork, but Dublin-born Konehead (currently based in London) is one of the more mysterious and enigmatic players in the scene. His lengthy instrumental tracks, as seen on his 2016 EP London, are not based on aggressive, tricksy rhythms and blaring basslines; rather, they are amorphous, soundscaping mood pieces, droning, repetitive and trancelike. We sat down to ask him a few questions about his music and creative process.
How did Konehead come into existence? Is this your first musical project?
Konehead is my first solo project. I have always been interested in producing music, but in the past few years have taken more of an interest in the techno scene. I went through a period of sketching out loads of musical ideas and then took a liking to this to progress with.
How would you describe the Konehead sound? Techno is a very densely populated scene at the moment - what makes Konehead stand out?
I’ve always been focused on keeping the music production sounding solid and organic. I think this helps to keep a sense of space and emotion in the music. A lot of techno artists these days opt for sounding very computerised and foreign, which can sometimes take away from the character of the productions.
What artists have influenced your sound? Do you mainly look to other techno and house artists for inspiration, or do your influences come from further afield?
I have taken influence from all types of music, from techno to heavy metal. Each genre plays its part in the musical spectrum and offers a different take on emotions and feelings. For example, one of my big inspirations is the artist Grimes, who for the most part creates pop music, but has established a very unique sound and style. I think that taking learnings from everything, without pigeonholing yourself to one genre, helps to bring together an original sound.
What's your writing process like? Do you start with a melody, a drumbeat, a bassline? Does it vary from track to track?
It does vary. However, I usually start a track purely from the mood or feeling I’m trying to portray with a song. This could result in starting with either a heavy beat or a bass/synth melody. Typically, all of the ideas would come out at the same time into a mess and would take some time to piece it all together.
Your most recent release was titled London. Was it inspired by living in the city? What were you trying to convey with the release?
Exactly. I started working on the release soon after I moved to the city and it was my way of putting together how I felt at the time.

Does London have an active techno scene at present? Are you involved much, do you go to many techno events?
London has a massive techno scene which seems to ever grow in popularity. I do try to keep up with it, however a weekend doesn’t goes by where I don’t see myself missing multiple big names!
Are you involved with any other musical projects at the moment?
Yes, I’m currently also bassist in an Ireland-based metal band called Suzaku Avenue. We’re currently recording an EP so I’m very excited to get that out there very soon!
What's next for Konehead? Do you have any gigs or releases planned currently?
No gigs planned as of yet, however I have my next release in the works so keep an eye!
