The Black Knights of Army have been on a stellar run since last season they ended last season with 4 straight victories over #25 Air Force (23-3), Holy Cross (17-14), Coastal Carolina (28-21), and Navy (17-11). They’ve started this season with the same energy and determination to be a top 25 team. So far this season they’ve taken down Leigh (42-7), FL Atlantic (24-7), Rice (37-14), Temple (42-14)…

Nobody knows for sure what the Black Knights are. We know they're not exactly human. We know they're like them though, in most ways that count. They speak a language, even if it's not any that we recognize, and they act vulnerable, not predatory. In fact, we're not even sure they're a direct threat to the people of the Backrooms. But they can and will kill you or anyone else that keeps them from doing what they want. What that is isn't exactly clear.

Shoutout to FROMSOFT making the two coolest knight enemies in the games. Honestly, I love their lore and design so much.
Also, they're both like horror enemies. Cleanrots rising from the swamp while Black Knights are where you least expect them (LOOKING AT YOU BLACK KNIGHT WHO AMBUSHED ME IN TOMB OF THE GIANTS).
#elden ring#dark souls#dark souls 3#black knights#cleanrot knights#i have an unhealthy obsession with black knights though#i have like 3 builds that are just black knight builds#and about to make the discount version in elden ring#their loyalty is impressive aswell#cleanrots taking the rot willingly#black knights following gwyn into the flame

LEGO set Sea Serpent (6057)
Apparently, the dragon sail was only available in this set.
This is one of my all-time favourite LEGO sets. I rebuilt this set a few months ago, after thinking I probably still had all the pieces of the set.

Knights of the Order of the Crescent
Knights of the Order of the Crescent
Knights of the Order of the Crescent is a worthy discussion since we know that the crescent moon is an indigenous symbol from Southern Arabia, aka, Mexico, since Mexico was Southern Arabia and Mexico means, “In the center of the Moon”: https://rb.gy/himgj1. A French Canadian Maur by the name of Ann Marie Bourassa sent me a link to the Armorial Chevaliers (Knights) of the Order of the Crescent…

No Ohgi? I'm surprised, most people always name Ohgi among the characters they don't like.
Yeah, no Ohgi 😅
I assume most people dislike him for betraying Zero and choosing to believe Viletta & Schneizel and the others over Lelouch. But to me, his reasons for betrayal and not trusting Lelouch are pretty valid. 🤷♀️
Lelouch doesn’t trust the Black Knights that much either. And when it came down to it, he does think they’re expendable to a certain degree. He favors a select few people though. If we push it further, all he cares about is Nunnally. His sister sits on a pedestal, and the rest are below her.
As a viewer, I think it’s really easy to forgive Lelouch’s shortcomings because we know his story and why he does what he does. But if we were in the CG world, and we’re Black Knights and we just know Zero based on how much he lets us know, it’s hard to discern his intentions. It’s hard to see the best intentions when so much deceit is layered on top of it.
If I were Ohgi, I would be suspicious about Lelouch too -- especially after all the secrets Lelouch kept.
People can call Ohgi and the rest of the Black Knights stupid all they want for falling for Schneizel’s ploy, but personally, I think it’s genius.
If Lelouch is capable of swaying and attracting the BK with his charisma, his actions, and his “miracles” then the BK is just as susceptible to being victims of Schneizel’s sly manipulation.
I don’t hate (or even dislike) Ohgi. I used to when I was a teenager, but after a rewatch as a young adult, the picture is clearer and one can understand the other side of the story.
To a certain extent, I feel sorry for him -- along with the other BK members. It feels like they traded the lesser evil for the greater one. After that whole revelation with Lelouch on R2 ep 19, they must have felt so used. They do everything in their organizational power to be independent, but Schneizel played them regardless.
It goes to show that the saddest part about being deceived and manipulated, is that you don’t know that you’re being deceived and manipulated until it’s too late.

An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter conducts high-altitude landing training in Inyokern, Calif. by Official U.S. Navy Page Via Flickr: INYOKERN, Calif. (April 1, 2021) An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4, stationed in San Diego, lands in the snow during high-altitude landing training, hosted by Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon, Nev. The Navy Mountain Flying Course trains pilots and aircrew for challenges associated with flying the aircraft to its limitations in higher density altitudes and power management of the aircraft in this environment. The training conducted during Air Wing Fallon drives air wing integration and ensures that all CVW-2 squadrons are ready to conduct the full range of military operations when they deploy later this year. HSC-4 provides vertical lift search and rescue, logistics, anti-surface warfare, special operations forces support, and combat search and rescue capabilities. I don’t understand why the Code Geass fandom is so fucking racist. You all do realise that this was a show about the far-reaching impact of colonialism and manipulation of PoC by white people?
The Black Knights didn’t deserve an iota of the hatred they get. They were literally just an oppressed people misled by white saviour Lelouch who rose up against his manipulations in fury. Admittedly, they turned to another white saviour Schneizel, but they were planning to act independently from him. Their consistent portrayal as incompetent fools who can’t work without a Lelouch or a Schneizel to lead them only perpetuates these racist undertones.
The fury of the Japanese people against Suzaku is more than justified. He’s a fucking class traitor. He allied with the colonists ‘in hopes of creating a better world’: idealistic bullshit that made him feel better about rolling over so the Brits would scratch his belly. I loved him at the start of the show, but he’s a perfect example of how someone can start out kind and earnest and gentle and end up making so many bad choices and acting horribly. Suzaku became selfish at the end of the show, so selfish that I could barely stomach watching him on screen. The fandom hates him because he betrayed your white fave. But he’s terrible because he rolled over and accepted colonialism, even becoming an active agent of it.
Kallen benefits from the oppression of the Japanese people, whether she likes it or not. What makes her an interesting character is her choice to reject that benefit and to ally with her heritage. I feel like her white-passing privilege is what makes her support Zero so staunchly, but her choosing the Black Knights over him was the right decision.
Ougi had every right to be furious at Lelouch’s manipulation. In typical white saviour fashion, our dear princeling used the Black Knights as a pawn - and don’t even start about “he was doing it for Nunnally!” Usage is usage, and Lelouch used an oppressed class.
Cornelia li Britannia is the epitome of white feminism. Feminism when it applies to white women in power who will do anything to oppress PoC.
Let's not even get into how fucked up it was that Lelouch conquered the world. I understand he did it for his idealised version of good, but... It just doesn't sit right with me.
The show tries to make you feel sorry for a bunch of white imperialists while concealing what they've done. The Britannian monarchical system itself is so... single-minded. Not even the greatest of rulers can fix the inherent flaws with a monarchy unless they step down for democratic government. Nunnally may be kind and gentle, but in the end she too benefits from a centric power system.
In conclusion: the Black Knights and the Japanese are the true victims of the oppression in Code Geass. Not Suzaku the damn coon, not Cornelia the coloniser, not Nunnally the ‘poow wittwe white pwincess’, and not His Majesty the White Saviour himself.
