Thought of a funny way to introduce Movie Mario to the HMG Arc.

It’s WOTFI time again, but there’s a problem: SMG4 is no longer Italian, so the name doesn’t quite work, since every previous WOTFI has had at least one Fat Italian on each side but this one can’t unless they invite Wario or something. Salvation comes in the form of Movie Mario, who’s showed up for revenge and hasn’t met Susie yet, and they basically confuse him into participating Bugs Bunny style. He doesn’t come to his senses and remember he’s here to kill his counterpart until partway through the Rap Battle, and by then Meme Mario has too much momentum and manages to win so hard that Movie Mario gets blasted across the Kingdom. Then he gets recruited by Susie.

I watch a lot of old films and there’s something so attractive about women with a cigarette. Its use as a prop, as a means of characterisation, as an innuendo. My friends and I often joke “if smoking bad, why sexy.”

However I have no intention of ever smoking. It repulses me and I know for certain that there are people who would get really angry with me if I started. I don’t want to put myself at any risk.

At least for me, it feels similar to how I feel about guns. It can be fun onscreen, fun to play at having or holding, but the idea of using it in real life is repulsive

Literally started this blog just to say how hypocritical F1 – both the people working in it, and the sport itself – is becoming. The main 3 things I want to address is: no.1 women in motorsport, no2 the ongoing genocide in palestine and no3 F1's disallowance of anything political, yet enabling the absolute political shitshow that was the 2024 miami gp.

Numéro 1: I just think its absolute bullshit that the FIA genuinely created a whole ‘Women in Motorsport Commission’, assigned SIX STRONG ambassadors to it, and THEN proceeded (come 2023) to launch a wholeass unfair investigation onto one of them, based on the MOST groundless claims?? Like wtf?? (Talking abt Susie Wolff here). Also, the whole Cristian Horner situation really showed just how much they care about women working under them, bc tell me why the possible victim in his situation was the one getting SUSPENDED, while this possible filth of a man is still parading shamelessly around the paddock?? Like??? AND SOME OF THE DRIVERS COMMENTS ON THE SIRUATION?? pissed me off so much u dont even understand. Anyway, my last point on this convo is how women should ALSO be taken accountable of their actions, and not just glossed over because they’re ‘women’, over here im specifically talking abt Bianca Bustamante and her liked tweet which calls lance stroll autistic… girl :| and her apology was so atrocious as well. T-T

Lando can genuinely go f himself, bc as much as i used to adore him there’s no way he did NOT know abt the atrocities happening in Palestine, no way he did not know abt the company boycott when he decided to fully display that Starbucks logo on his little reel. And IF (literally a 0.0000001% chance, bc by then a 1000 articles were already written on it and the WHOLE world was aware) he genuinely didn’t know, then that is just ignorant as fuck. Icel. Dustin regrets getting excited when they start hanging out after spring break because now, not only do they bond over what a little shit he can be. . .they'll complain about him when he's in the room.

"God, he's been here for hours," Eddie said rolling his eyes.

"Okay. We're definitely going to be talking about that later. . .," Eddie said.

"Dustin, we're on a date," Steve said.

Disclaimer: Cubans are not a monolith so when we say ‘Cuban Folk Magic’ its like saying ‘American Folk Magic’ in the sense that it is a BROAD term that includes multiple different cultural threads and traditions. Start by researching your ancestors and where they were from as a jumping off point.

Guide to researching based on your ancestry:

If your family has African roots, you can seek Ocha/Lukumi, Palo, Arara, Cuban Vodou and other African Traditional Religions and Practices. Please approach elders within these respective practices to further your connection to them, rather than using books to create a practice for yourself. These are ancient, community based and are lifelong commitments, not just trendy powerful spells for you to get what you want.

If your family has indigenous roots, research Taino spirituality and modern practices , but also know that there were other tribes in the western and centeral parts of Cuba, with their own languages and traditions you can still learn about like the Guanahatabey. You may also consider joining a Yukayeke, but this isn’t required. Reconnecting and decolonizing is a separate and important topic that is not inherently witchcraft or folk magick-y… HOWEVER, researching and informing yourself with these practices can help you to see their influence within modern folk practices.

If your family has Asian roots, research the buddhist cults and folk practices throughout Cuba! Believe it or not, we also have people of Middle Eastern descent in Cuba who brought with them their own Hindu and Arabic Folk Traditions, which can be found throughout Cuba and the Caribbean as a whole.

If your family has Spanish roots, research some open practices like Espiritismo and Folk Catholicism! Look into the Patron Saints of Cuba, La Virgen de La Caridad del Cobre and San Lazaro. These also tie in to many of the other cultures who were forced to adopt certain elements to ensure survival of their traditions! You can also look into Brujería. Much like modern witchcraft, modern brujería has been commodified to hell and back, but there is still some great knowledge and power to be found there.

The fact of the matter is, that most of us can fit ourselves into two or more of these categories, and this crossover is where Folk Magic is often born. Its also important to note, in alot of these traditions you shouldn’t learn or share certain things at certain times, so some sources who share too much about Ocha and other ATRs should be avoided. Also, I can’t stress how important it is to talk to your family! Ask them about folklore or legends and stories! Also research history and folkore of the specific areas in Cuba your family is from. A-lot of folk magic is incorporated into stories.

Today was the day your husband came home. You had gotten a call from him after his mission was done and he was doing a small celebration at a bar with his teammates saying that he was going to be home a little earlier than expected. To your excitement, you had gotten things ready for when he came home.

Simon opened the front door before dropping his bag onto the ground. Before he walked in, he made sure to take off the heavy gear knowing that-

"Daddy!" He heard his twins yell out excitedly.

Simon took off his mask as his son and daughter rush over to him before jumping onto him. Simon kneeled down on the floor to hug his kids.

"Hey, kids," Simon smiled before kissing their heads.

"We missed you!" His son, Nate, said as he held onto his father's arm.

"Mom said you'll be coming home and we got the house cleaned up!" His daughter, Susie, excitedly told him.

"Simon!" You smiled as you rushed over to your husband. Simon stood up before wrapping his arms around your waist and giving you a passionate kiss.

"Ew!"

"You're not under any mistletoe!"

You giggled into your kiss before pulling away.

"I'm glad you're home in one piece," you tell him.

"Me too. I'm going to take a quick shower," Simon tells you. You nodded as your kids rushed off to finish the Christmas decorations they were doing before Simon came back home.

After a dinner together, you helped the kids pack up an overnight bag so you could spend the night with your husband alone without any interruptions.

"Are we going on a vacation?" Simon asked you as he stood by the doorway.

"Grandma and grandpa are picking us up!" Nate told him.

"Your parents are coming over?" Simon asked.

"The kids are going to spend the night with them," you said, winking at him.

"It's okay daddy. We can get our Christmas tree tomorrow!" Susie told him.

"I like that idea," Simon told her.

"Oh, your grandparents are here! Come on!" You tell the kids.

Once you bid your goodbyes to your children and your parents, you and Simon headed back inside before closing the door and locking it.

"Now that we're alone," Simon said as he towered over you.

"Not yet, lieutenant. I have a surprise for you," you tell him.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah. You stay out here while I get our bedroom ready," you tell him.

"Can't I join you?"

"No! It'll ruin the surprise," you whined a little.

"Oh fine."

You laughed a little before giving him a quick kiss. You quickly hurried over to your bedroom to change into your outfit and get the bedroom ready.

You dimmed the lights a little after you changed into your outfit before getting on your bed. You called Simon over before pressing play on your phone the moment you heard him walk over.

Simon opened the door to reveal you lying on your side on the bed in a Santa dress with fishnet stockings and a matching Santa hat. You smiled at him as Santa Baby from Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies played through your speakers.

"Is this my early Christmas gift?" Simon asked you.

"Maybe. You like?" You asked him.

"Coming back home to you is always a gift. However, I think I would like to unwrap this one," Ghost said.

"Well, you're lucky you've been on my nice list," you tell him.

"Thank you, Santa," Simon smiled before getting on the bed and climbing on top of you.

"Glad you're home with us for the holidays," you smiled.

"Me too," Simon agreed before kissing you hard on the mouth.

"Now, let's enjoy this while we can without the kids yeah?"

"Want to give me another kid?"

"Let's hope it's not twins again," Simon joked. You giggled a little before kissing him again.

Free Black History, Palestine, Socialism (and other) books on Haymarket

So, HaymarketBooks is a cool online bookstore that, while it does sell physical and digital books, it also offers a lot of free ebooks on subjects it thinks the public should be aware of.

Two categories I know of are Black History, after some racist law in the US that banned Black History resources

“Toto, could you help me try out some of this pasta sauce that I've made? It's the recipe from your nonnie’s recipe book, she told me about it the other day,” You asked across the kitchen also whispering under your breath “I should probably have some fun pranking you while I’m cooking too.” Laughing quietly.

The kitchen led to the living room, where the man you loved for years had been sitting, laptop on his lap and legs sprawled on the couch. Along with the little furry cat that had found its way into both of your lives, purring every time she had her ears scratched by the busy Austrian.

“Coming, Schatzi,” he replied. “One second, just let me finish this email.” as he typed quick and swiftly with those thick and lengthy fingers which also happen to have a gold band on it while yours had a nicely sized diamond on it. Finding this as the perfect time to quickly add the salt to the spoonful of pasta sauce before blowing on it to ensure it won't burn his mouth. Upon hearing footsteps thumping into the lively abode, you gave a quick peck to his cheek before he slithered his hands around your waist and rested his head on top of yours.

“The sauce remember?” you chuckled. Nodding his head, the smell of the pasta sauce hit his nose when you opened the pot of bubbling nostalgia. “Smells the exact same as how my nonna would have made it.” Grinning proudly at his response, you gave the spoonful of sauce a nudge at his lips before he slurped it up, not knowing what's going to happen next.

Trying his best to not choke over the sodium-loaded sauce and keep a poker face, he barely choked out “Schatz, I think it’s a little salty, maybe add a little more water?” Not being able to handle it anymore, you burst into laughter as his face contorts into a sour expression. After regaining his posture, he asked “What’s so funny?” He asked as he grabs a glass of water to sip on after the unpleasant ordeal that he had to face. “Nothing, maybe just a small salt prank?” You replied while bursting into laughter, feigning offense, he pretended to faint, which failed miserably as it just looked like he slipped on ice.
