Since PEAK (Epic Mickey) is being mentioned bc of the Public Domain Mickey design comin out, I cleaned up some old designs of Oswald if he was in Kingdom Hearts (per request of my brother ofc) but I didn’t know much about the lore or fashion at the time.

But NOW… I know alittle more lmfao, maybe I might just redo these and fix up the black coat and inverted key, shmaybe.

Extra photos of the pizza box doodle since I’m indecisive on figuring out what good angle & lighting looks like. The cardboard ridges are visible in these ones (as too the inconvenient grease stains). Plus wanted to give some sense of scale with my hand included lol. I still have quite a bit of empty space I could leverage! Maybe more doodles could be placed there in the future. It’s from a lunch gathering today

You’d think I would be smart enough to order a kid’s size or individual pizza instead of the “small” option (which is actually a rather big whole pizza for my tiny stomach to consume). But as usual, my eyes deceived me and I wound up only eating a few slices. At least I get to carry a bunch of leftovers, which will be my midnight snack during nightly animating

do you have specific species of moth in mind when you think of the main pines family and friends?

the pines family is a mix of cecropia, atlas, and creatonotos gangis moth, with an extra thrown in for each one. mabel’s extra is the rosy maple moth, and it’s dominant over the other species in her genes. in other words, she still has features of the other three, but she looks primarily like a rosy maple moth! dipper’s extra is a luna moth, with it mostly coming out in his wings, antennae, and pale speckles on his forehead, making up his birthmark

the stan twins, being identical, both have cinnabar moths as their extra. stan’s taken to flaunting this part of them, annoyed to no end by the amount of people claiming their mix is a death omen. ford just wants to be left alone, and is more reserved, keeping his arms and wings tucked close.

fiddleford is a mix of chestnut moth, hummingbird moth, yellow barred longhorn moth, and silk moth. in the moth world, his appearance stood out, especially with his long antennae, inability to fly, and the hummingbird moth coming out so much. he took to being fast friends with ford, them both finally finding someone that wouldn’t judge them for their appearance

gideon is a blue morpho butterfly masquerading as a moth. bud is also a blue morpho, though his colors have dulled considerably, and Gideon’s mother is a tolype moth

wendy is part io moth. the other part could have been a winter moth if it didn’t trigger our entomophobia so bad. so instead her other part is a december moth

soos is a mix of oleander hawk-moth and green sphinx moth (look these up, they are. so incredibly beautiful). he also has a tiny bit of peppered moth in him. this causes him to have black freckles

pacifica is part imperial moth and part flannel moth (which kind? yes). her parents, of course, prized “purity” and thus she was made to feel insecure about the brown patches from the imperial moth and the extra fuzz and fluff from the flannel moths. it takes a long time, but meeting and becoming friends with mabel has helped her heal a lot. nowadays, though she still feels the need to hide them at times, she has become fond of the unique pattern dancing across her wings, and mabel has convinced her that the extra floof just means she’s better for hugging

that’s everyone we’ve got so far!

note: we did not take where the moths actually live into account at all, whatsoever, in any way

all of these have meaning to them, they weren’t just chosen for no reason. which is kinda the reason these are all we have so far ^^’’ still, it’s a pretty good chunk of the cast!
