I'm currently using the iPad to finish up old pieces, I mean like 2-3 year old ones.

This sketch, for example, I don't even remember how old, but probably around 2. It was good practice, and I'm really happy that Procreate is perfectly compatible with my mixed media style (traditional pencil sketch with digital coloring), because it's one of my favourite ways to draw outfits. The only thing I have to get used to is that there is a difference between the displays: the iPad has a much more vibrant display than any other non-Apple product. I finally realized what the clipping mask is good for and how incredibly fast it is to progress without having to erase around every single shading layer. The textured brushes are really great. I can't believe that the time for each of my drawings has been cut in half.

You said in your Jane Eyre answer that Jensen has an “emotional depth” but I am mostly if not only see emotional immaturity. The way he talks about being a father, comparing hos feeling for his own kids, rolling eyes to Elta and mostly the fact he is still with her in this f-ed up marriage… I like her and big SupNat fan (1-5season) but I think his emotional intelligence is not good. I would love to hear your opinion on that.

Thank you for the great question, anon. To answer it, I must make a clarification: I was referring to Jensen's acting strictly. While playing Dean Winchester, Jensen has proven emotional depth. Meaning he is an actor that can access deep emotional states. Does he use that ability? Often not, especially nowadays. As for real life, he does come off tone deaf on a lot of topics and he definitely doesn't exercise emotional intelligence when it comes to his audience and the way he portrays himself. He hides behind a carefully crafted persona but due to conflicting feelings he ends up coming off as passive-aggressive towards his own family. He seems to be in the dark about his own self. I hope he finds happiness, in whatever form that may come in. An actor's real-life persona can be extremely different from his celebrity persona as well as from his acting persona. Some of the shittiest people on this earth are some of the most talented actors who are also revered because people don't know their real life personalities. My point is, don't mistake someone's real life personality for their acting range. As humans we can explore many depths of our psyche, we just have to be willing to do the inner work required. The stage or the set are often cathartic to actors precisely because they get to play out aspects of themselves they don't get to express in real life. Someone completely shy and reserved could be a firebomb on set just as someone extremely charismatic in real life might not translate well on screen and come off as unlikeable. It all depends on how the camera sees you and what type of inner work you've done. Some people pierce the screen and then seem completely anonymous when you met them in real life, to the point where you fail to recognize them. Jensen belongs to that kind of category of actor, as far as I'm concerned. Meaning that his onscreen charisma and flair have zero to do with his presence in real life and that his magnetism does not translate in person. It's definitely a case of the camera adding a new dimension to his overall look. That's just my opinion, of course, and I am strictly viewing him through an acting lens. They say Marilyn Monroe could turn off her charisma and become anonymous when she wanted, she had full control of her presence as a performer and actor. That was a result of years of study, years during which she developed a persona that to this day fascinates. Jensen didn't study much as an actor so whatever charisma the camera gives him fades away as soon as the cameras stop rolling. That's because as an actor you have to develop your charisma, culture has a lot to do with it but so do many other things an actor can pick up. People superficially view Jensen as "hot" and know nothing about him beyond that and that's because he has no branding. The persona he's developed is entirely superficial. I would really LOVE to see him embody that iconic man he sometimes brings to life on screen. There is no one who believes more in his potential but all of my believing has to be matched by profound inner work on his side.

New followers of your blog! Love your posts and deep answers. SupNat was part of my younger years when it was aired originally. I stopped watching after the 5th season and I will never rewatch past that but I am here for the tee. Especially about the personal connections because I love to try to understand human emotions and the reasons behind their actions. What do you think about the fact that Jensen went behind Jared’s back with The Winchesters? (a show shouldn’t be exist at the first place)

Can I just say though? You're missing some gems in season 6 and beyond of Supernatural. (One favorite? The French Mistake. I still can't stop cackling over that one. Sam and Dean find themselves in an alternative universe as actors, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.)

As for the tea, well... it's largely centric on Danneel, but you will find some things about Jensen and perhaps others. I hope you, uh, well I can't say "enjoy" regarding emotional abuse, etc, but um, perhaps glean some understanding? There we go.

So... initially, I'll be honest. I believed Jensen's side of things. But as I delved deeper into it, seeing deleted tweets and screenshots and the timing of it all...

I was disappointed. Vastly. Jensen essentially betrayed Jared. He knew Jared was working on Walker, was told of the whole process if I'm not mistaken and yet he couldn't tell Jared that he was thinking of a prequel? That he approached Robbie Thompson about it? Not one word?

No, I don't buy his excuse of being superstitious. He still could've spoken and confided into his longtime friend, his fellow co-star, the person he said was a brother to him? Because even if it "failed", at least he would've had Jared there for support.

Plus, the leak (and there's a popular theory that it was Danneel who prematurely leaked it, but nothing is confirmed) came... and Jensen lied about not having phones while on set of The Boys.

Plus, after all of it... Jensen never formally apologized. He didn't humble himself. Jared sucked it up and took the dive... because he was, sadly, the better man.

I get it. Jensen couldn't let go of Dean. Believe me, I really get it. But there were so many ways he could've done this.

I'm disappointed in him. I feel the fame of his time on Supernatural, the cult following, as it were, got to his head. Jensen started to get too big for his britches. Whether that's Danneel's influence, the c-lister fame, his fan following, or a combination, it got to him.

So yeah. Disappointed. I hope he looks back and humbles himself.

This theory seems to be true, and I also like to pretend that it's true, but it's also in practice - very not true. :D I mean not even the illustration, because as I see there's no really a receipt, the illustration is true for big fandoms, like yeah, SupNat. And there is Lord of the Rings which I love, but I find so perfect and detailed that I can't ship or write or feel the urge to transform it, but it's also just me, because there are a huge amount of LotR fics with several non-canon ships, etc. And I literally know people who are in the Chernobil fandom and are very shippy-thinking. So it doesn't matter what the book/movie/TV show is about there are always people who want to transform the canon into fics, fanarts, etc. These fandoms are just not really big. :)

While I don't have strong feelings about fuck or die, I'm absolutely crazy about heart wrenching time loops. (Like, Groundhog day SupNat style? Or I'm fully aware about the issues around the source, so don't come at me about that, because this happened before, but one of my all time fave fics is Draco stuck in a time loop, trying to fix it and slowly falling in love with Harry while fighting the looming threat of what if he can’t figure out how to get out and his cold little heart breaking every time he has to walk that enemies to lovers path in a single day over and over again. Obviously it’s written beautifully, barely any smut, yet I go back there any time I need my soul to be lovingly shattered.)

So yeah, if this was a democracy, I'd rig the elections. <3

The last page of a sketchbook is somehow always difficult. For practical reasons, I just don’t like drawing on it because there are no other papers behind it and it feels weird; but for sentimental reasons, you end a little piece of your life when you close that sketchbook after you finished drawing. So I wanted to draw something just for the fun of making it.

I am not the most updated with the SupNat fandom (who ship who etc) but I love the Ackles marriage drama. What I don’t understand that based on those kisses he is almost disgusted by her, cannot handle her kisses,clearly not in love with her etc. So why did he pushed her as a producer on Flopchesters? This seems a dick move men do for clueless women they are in love with. But he is clearly not, so I am stunned.

The answer is money, anon. Two Ackles being involved in a project means double the money. Also, Danneel's vapid image needed a rebrand except Ackles didn't do his research and gave her a title she will never be taken seriously for.

Danneel is in the marriage to get a high end agent, a producer title, money, etc. They have an arrangement but he clearly doesn't love her because, if he did, he wouldn't just give her titles on paper. He would, instead, make sure her dreams become a reality. Instead, he lets her waste away at home full knowing her desire was to be a successful actress.
