Doing an assignment on femslash fic for a class

Hi folks, I'm working on a research assignment for my Master's on how we can encourage deeper engagement between fic writers and readers, focusing specifically on femslash fic writers who write omegaverse or A/B/O fic. I'm looking for: a) fic writers who have been writing femslash fic for at least 1-2 years and have written an omegaverse fic and published on AO3; b) fic readers who have been reading fic for at least one year and have read an omegaverse fic; c) fic readers who have never read an omegaverse fic (if you have strong feelings about this subgenre, even better!) I'll be doing video, email, and chat interviews for the next two weeks. (They only gave us a month for this assignment!) Potential Plotline:

Every time person A posts an update the city holds its breath whilst person b holds person a and comments on such a wonderful update to person A's story creation all the while knowing that should someone else slip up in also commenting on said update in any negative way they might just be the next dead body found ripped apart come dinner time the same day.

It was the pattern the last few months. A pattern that person A is determined to end with one last click of the keys...

A's been on to this 'mysterious person c' for a while now but hasn't let on but when it seems Person C has decided to start targeting person b in the hopes of driving the couple apart by linking B to the crimes A's had enough.

I think one of my favourite things about warrior nun is that it’s brought the old Clexa fandom back together. Like I see all the same accounts who used to make candle jokes and invented a different metric system making gif sets and art about Avatrice now and it was ridiculous but it brought me so much joy and I thought I’d lost that forever. the energy right now feels like 2015 on tumblr but we’ve all grown up

(I think most of us were in the Supercorp fandom but after that everyone kind of split off into smaller fandoms and I haven’t felt the sapphic internet this united in a very long time)

Fanfic Crossover Prompt?

I noticed there are way too few Clexa and Supercorp Crossover Fics...

Just hear me out, k?

Supergirl /DCTV has established parallel worlds and plenty (accidental) ways to end up in an alternative world. Time travel is also very much established (kinda sorta in both shows)

The 100 canonically even has aliens (but this would be better!)

Each ship has a "blue-eyed blonde that came from the sky (from a more scientifically advanced world)" and an "ambitious and revolutionary green('ish)-eyed brunette in a powerful position"

...with the blondes being artistically inclined and the brunettes educated strategists

Lena and Lexa may have a secret hand-shake over the whole "love is weakness" mantra (or just cooly blank-faced share a nod of mutual understanding)

Kara's cousin is named Clark and Lena's brother is named Lex (Clexa: "Oh, are they close?" - SC: "...well, they are constantly at each other's throats?")

Nia would be very confusing - especially if she's still alive, bc seeing her may give Lena a mini heart-attack

Jackson may also look vaguely familiar to Kara...

(Charlotte would prolly already be "gone"...)

There is fun to be had with the character dynamics, Lexa and Kara being the heart-eyes ones, Clarke and Lena (whilst just as infatuated) try to play things cool

Lena would have a field day with the night blood (actually, she'd need a fix to survive in the radioactive world of The 100, unless she has a magical solution at hand)

Kara could single-handedly fix the 2nd Praimfaya situation (with some guidance by Lena)

Raven and Lena prolly would hit it off rather well

by the power of fanfic even the age difference between the characters can be either reduced or ignored

or Lena and Kara become sort of mentors / advisors to Heda and Wanheda

Lexa having a sparring session with "Olympics level fencer" Lena

Kara and Clarke ooh'ing and aaah'ing at Earth's nature together

Kara getting roped into beer-pong and owning it even without using her powers, not for her skills but bc she can't get drunk

Clexa may even help a canonically supposedly "best friends" Supercorp to "see the light" (Clexa: "Uhm, guys? That is not really what best friends are for...")

Play with Lena struggling in the forest or prove herself to be actually pretty apt in her survival skills

Lena coming into Polis being all like "I can fix this up. Someone give me some paper. Kara, time to flex those muscles of yours."

Kara "accidentally" sneezing too hard and freeze-breath scaring the daylights out of Titus before baldie can screw things up

Katie Lena in a more medieval leathery get-up!!!!

Kara on a horsey!! (or floating next to the group riding, cooing at the animals)

Both Kara and Lena having experience with "adults" and their schemes and politics messing things up, spot signs early and help Clexa take care of Pike et others...

Eventually (after saving their world) Lena finding the energy signatures below polis of the portal-thingy, figuring the puzzle out in 3.7 seconds and rewiring it to send them back home...

I wonder what it says about me that the ships I care about most are the ones the coulda, woulda, shoulda but never really get far off the ground. Like there are so many sapphic couples on shows that get whole relationships that I could ship, and it’s not that I don’t like them, I’m just not as invested, it just seems I lean towards the heartbreak.

Cheerleader Lexa and jock Clarke push baby Kara in her stroller as they walk through the park. They're looking at the other couples playing with their kids in the playground, playing catch, flying a kite, or having a picnic. They get teary eyed when they realize that they'll be enjoying these same things with Kara when she's older

For now, Kara just looks adorable in her raccoon onesie as she coos and reaches for her mommies from her stroller. Clarke picks up her daughter and cradles her in her arms so she can see the sights and sounds of the park. Lexa picks up a dandelion and blows it in Kara's face who giggles when they blow apart

They stop by the pond where the ducks, geese, and pigeons congregate. Lexa pulls out the old bread from her bag and hands a slice to Clarke. Clarke starts tearing out small chunks and hands them to Kara who tosses them at the birds to feed them. She giggles when they all flock to nibble on the bread crumbs

While Clarke and Kara are preoccupied, Lexa spots a vendor selling ice cream so she buys a giant cone to share with everyone. She and Clarke take turns licking the scoop but it's messy and they smile when they help clean up the drippings with a gentle kiss

Kara sees her mommies eating ice cream and babbles because she wants a taste too. Lexa brings the cone close to Kara who sticks out her tiny tongue and softly licks the treat in front of her. Unfortunately, she eats the ice cream too fast and gets a tiny brain freeze so she puckers her lips and squints her eyes. Before she cries, Clarke gently bounces her on her lap and reassures her daughter that she's safe. Lexa makes funny faces in front of her daughter who quickly laughs and forgets about the whole ordeal

After they finish the cone and Kara recovers from her brain freeze, they head to the small playground. Lexa cradles baby Kara on her lap as they go down the slide together. Kara shrieks from the excitement of going down the slide with her mommy. At the bottom, Kara wiggles her butt telling Lexa that she wants to go again. Both Clarke and Lexa take turns sliding down with Kara and they even raise her chubby little arms in the air too

Next they put Kara in the baby swings and gently push her back and forth. Kara is laughing and smiling and having the time of her life the faster and higher she gets. She even kicks her chubby legs to try and help her go faster

Finally, they stop by a bench overlooking the entire park when they sense Kara starting to drift off for her afternoon nap. Soon enough, they hear the adorable tiny snores of Kara who's snuggled peacefully in Lexa's arms. Clarke leans in closer and rests her head into Lexa's shoulders as they both take in the beautiful sight of their daughter napping

It was a perfect and lovely play day for the Griffin-Woods with little Kara 🥹

Oh they are so fucking cute. Wait oh my god I wanna cry 🥹

Baby Kara is too freaking cute 🥺 there's this thing Clarke does where she holds Kara up and pretends she's making her fly that makes Kara giggle uncontrollably. Lexa pushes Kara on the swing, very gently, Clarke seems to always push a little too hard and while Kara adores it, Lexa doesnt, Clarke comments how "now you see how I feel everytime I saw you being thrown in the air in those cheer routines", but while Lexa pushes Kara, Clarke stands in front of her cooing about how high super baby Kara is going and how she's off to save the world and Lexa heart melts hearing them both giggle at one another.

It's a whole fight for them to finally get up from the bench and go back to the car to drive home, the day is so nice and Kara is all cuddled up in Lexa's arms and they just want to stay in that moment forever ☺️

Now if you excuse me I might have a little dust in my eyes thats making me tear up 🥲🥲🥲
