DAY TWENTY-SIX: Favorite Sad Scene

These scenes always make me cry. Todd and Blair are *sooooooooooo* in love here and happy, waiting for their little Starr to be born. Major props to KDP for expertly playing Blair’s underlying fear and grief as if she already knew something was going to happen and they would never be the same again. Of course Todd had to leave her the day after their wedding for *sigh* Marty because he lives in self-loathing and guilt over what he did to her. It is a shame that his decision this day forever affected their love story. Both characters would go on to say this was the last time things were perfect between them, that they were a family. And the decades that followed showed both characters desperately trying to recapture what they had in these scenes. They were even mentioned in the finale on ABC as “things were never the same.” We never did get to see Todd and Blair actually together, happy, LIE-FREE as a family with their children and we never got to see TnB ever go on a honeymoon they deserved. Everything about this was tragic. But god, were they beautiful.

A new fanfic challenge for soap fans!

Hello, Soap Fans!

What if Maxie Jones fell in love with Harrison Chase? What if Sonny Corinthos finally got a vasectomy? What if Steffy Forrester opened her own fashion house? What if Kate Roberts met Victor Newman and was determined to become his next wife, consequences be damned? What if...?

Yes, there are so many storyline possibilities on the soaps. This is, after all, a genre where literally anything can happen: aliens come down to Earth, people return from the dead, the devil possesses the sainted town matriarch, and more than one family relative suffers from multiple personalities.

And if you're like me, then you have probably imagined a hundred and one different storylines you would love to see play out on your favorite show. Well, now is your chance to share some of those ideas while spreading some much-needed positivity in the fanbase too!

I am inviting all soap fans to check out Soap Drabbles, a new fanfiction challenge where you get to decide what happens on your favorite show! Will you reunite your favorite couple, break up another one, kill off someone in a tragic car accident, and reveal it was the evil twin whodunnit? You have the storytelling power in your pen - or should I say, laptop, phone, etc.?

Spencer's making a lot of good points about everything Trina has endured because of Esme and himself and him being angry with himself over his behavior is wonderful

BUT

Him acting like it's too late to even attempt to make peace with Trina, especially after she offered a chance and was fixated on him when he appeared at the PC Grill, is ridiculous. I should see Spencer fighting for Trina, proving to her that he loves her and that he is making up for the lying, not drowning his sorrows because someone told her they loved her (and she didn't respond in kind). All it says to me is that this cycle of standoffish behavior and deceit is going to continue and Sprina will fall victim to the BS other couples are stuck with. It's much too good for that.

Victor is right - Cassadines don't quit - and Spencer needs to take that to heart.
