okay just finished watching OBX s03 and im sorry, what was that? i would like to pretend this season didn’t happen. like what kind of ending was that? why john b’s dad took most of the screen time his storyline was weak sauce to say the least… he came back from the dead and first thing he does is get back to the treasure hunt that almost killed him and the reason he went to exile? he so self observed he forgot he had a traumatized son lmao i can’t with this man. I found him very very grating. plus why were the pogues always divided into two groups? i blame john b’s dad for ruining the whole dynamic. i miss my pogues getting into messy dangerous situations and getting hurt and stuff. WHERE WAS RAFE? he had less screen time than previous seasons in my opinion. ALSO WHERE WAS HIS PROPER REDEMPTION ARC? emphasis on the word proper his storyline was all over the place�� he was even missing from the last episode with no explanation whatsoever. back to speaking about the ending, out of nowhere there is some new random treasure? what? yeah this season wasn’t it. the only redeeming quality it had was it gave us jj/kiara endgame. sigh!

suo hayato - martial arts rant

so I have some experience in martial arts, like im a black belt in zendo ryuu karate do (a decently niche style of karate and like I also did a bit of jiu-jitsu, tho no competitions for any of these) but anyways this feels wrong.

now I don't claim to know all there is about martial arts but um. given the power behind even the weakest of punches (and kanumo (the opponent) survived shishitouren during its extremist phase so he can't be that weak), putting your hand in front of an incoming fist is a recipe for disaster and so much pain. the same can be said for attempting to... grab (??) the fist from above with your palm and your extended fingers, like you can see in the panel.

my poor, abused, tendinitis-ridden arms feel the pain for you, suo, please stop it.

we know from the manga, that suo isn't one of the people with "monster strength" (and those people also shouldn't be doing moves like this but I'll assume that monster strength also comes with insane muscle support on their arms/forearms/hands and they're also not trained in martial arts so whatever. let them make their mistakes since it doesn't hurt them that much) because suo is never described as having "monster strength" so him doing this is just off.

but, dee, you might say, this is a fucking manga/anime about teenage gangsters were you expecting realism??

as of episode 5 / chapter 12 (?), suo has confirmed that he's dabbled in mixed martial arts. you cant have him making these sort of mistakes for the shits and giggles.

and these feel like a decently basic mistakes, too. i asked my brother his opinion on this as a blue-belt in karate and he agrees with me that suo is off here. i asked my bsf (who has like a yellow belt in taekwondo but hasn't practiced martial arts in like nearly a decade) on an opinion on people using their palm to block an incoming punch and he thought that's weird. I asked google and even fucking wikihow disagrees with the palm thing.

like. use your opponent's momentum against themselves yes. but also.

nowhere is there a mention of stopping the momentum with your palm. your fucking palm??? hello??? or stopping the momentum by grabbing the fist like that?? who grabs a fist from above😭😭 suo look at your goddamn wrist. joints are scared of you.

out of the top of my head, suo is in danger of breaking his fingers or spraining/breaking his wrist or fucking up his elbow, or some funky combination thereof. and he's also definitely getting in some sort of trouble with his tendon. but c'est la vie, ig.

and btw. he has pulled this off correctly a few times in the manga.

chapter 11

in the bottom right corner you see him deflecting properly and safely. and then rushing ahead to get out of Kanuma's range (wouldn't want a falling Kanuma to grab him on his way down lol). no clue what his left hand is doing tho. even if he was attempting to assume a ready stance. what the hell is his elbow doing that high? and why is his palm open and looking away from him? fuck if I know, this doesn't look like karate but there are like thousands of schools of karate with different variations so who knows. it's vaguely giving king fu or jiu jitsu but take this with a grain of salt.

or this from chapter 68. also correct technique. don't come at me for spoilers btw, I've literally given you zero context.

tho to be fair, I'm a little confused as to the angle that he's hand is at? like it seems like his torso is in front of the punch (which vaguely makes sense because the other guy can presumably aim towards center mass aka torso), but like suo should already be moving his torso away so his arm shouldn't be reaching out from that angle. whatever. I'll forgive this. it's super minor.

10/10 for just grabbing the damn wrist instead of what he was doing before.

tho once again to be fair, I'm also a little confused about what his free hand is doing but whatever. and how did the other guy lose his balance? idk suo tagged at his punching arm hard ig. and giving the "whap" sfx then he might have somehow hit the other dude's leg? certainly not with his free hand cause given his stance, he's still not low enough to hit the foot or shin of the other guy (which is what the panel insinuates). unless he ducked? like crouched down while holding the dude's wrist and used his free hand to 'whap'? or maybe suo used his front leg? idk. whatever. still better than before.

nii satoru (the mangaka) so far seems great, because windbreaker has a nice plot and a fun, diverse cast of rather realistic teenagers (given the plot). he does seem to have a weakness when it comes to official martial arts styles, though, and that transferred towards the animation, as well.

I agree!! *an incoherent rant incoming* Jean imo def moved on from Kevin (in a romantic way; i think he’s not moved on from the whole ‘Kevin left me’ thing ofc but I think he obviously knows and accepts that he and Kevin won’t ever happen lol). And that scene with Renee was obviously a closure/farewell and they’ve moved on to being friends now (also imo while i like their dynamic i feel like they’d never work bc of the whole victim saviour complex, that’d be really uncomfortable and hard to overcome). Jeremy seems like he’s able to handle Jean’s crazy baggage without placating him too much or pushing him too hard. He definitely needs to work on his own shit first (i feel like the way he went all in on helping Jean is kind of giving ‘I am avoiding my problems by getting too involved in others’ problems’) but I think Jean will be the perfect person to help him with that! As you said he’s super perceptive and honestly very empathetic even if he doesn’t show it in the most obvious way. Jeremy would probably really appreciate Jean’s brutally honest approach lol. They’re lowkey perfect for each other ☹️ TSC2 can’t come soon enough

hardcore agree on every single point you made!! i feel exactly the same about Jean and Renee, as much as their dynamic is sweet, i think it would be really difficult to overcome Jean feeling indebted to her (whereas Jean and Jeremy are both growing together) + ya i think Jean has very complicated feelings toward Kevin but i don’t think he’s actively yearning over Kevin anymore

and exactlyy i definitely imagine Jean quietly picking up on whatever Jeremy’s going through and expressing concern only for Jeremy to try and pull a “my problems aren’t that bad and therefore don’t matter” which i don’t see Jean accepting. especially since Jean has an ‘older brother who cares more about other people’s well-being more than his own well-being’ vibe (underneath his slightly prickly attitude lol) i think Jeremy and Jean are really good for each other, Kevin subconsciously knew what he was doing by having Jean transfer to USC 🤨

stalking arasha and amanda on cameo is so fun for me because in an ideal world, i would have money to book a video from them because i have so many questions i would wanna ask them. but getting to watch the chit chat with others is still so nice. maybe this is super parasocial of me but i don't care LOL but i would loveeee to talk to courtrashamangela and pick their brains on just everything! especially what it's like to be youtubers. (and i single out courtrashamangela from everyone else on the cast because they are unsurprisingly my favorites). i grew up watching youtube (i far prefer it to movies and tv shows) and smosh in particular and i just wanna know what it's like for them. for courtney, who's been a smosh fan since before they got this job and helped in shaping the channels and youtube as a platform. for angela, who had a traditional theater background and got exposed to youtube (kinda) through starkid but smosh is a whole other juggernaut. for amanda, who's chronically offline. and for arasha, who's not too much older than me and likely grew up with the same internet i did. like did they ever expect to end up here? what did they expect coming into this job? what has been the biggest learning curve? what's it like adapting to and being on the receiving end of fan culture? like vidcon. omg vidcon. i grew up watching so many vidcon vlogs and it was my dream as a kid to go. i feel like i've watched enough youtube in my life and listened to enough youtubers talk about their job to know how strange and crazy and wonderful being a youtuber is. but did they?

My thoughts on Midjourney/ Generative AI as a real human artist

So my curiosity got the better of me and I ended up biting the proverbial artificial intelligence bullet. I tested out midjourney/nijijourney.

Honestly, I went into it with a feeling of despair (If I spent 15+ years honing my skills only to be able to produce an image a fraction as beautiful as AI can make within seconds... what was/is the point of even studying so hard for so long?)

But the more I played with it, I came to realize a couple of things.

AI is fantastic at some things, and really super dogshit at others. Human artists still have a HUGE leg up in a ton of cases! I.e complex physical character interactions, depicting more than one character accurately and consistently, words and hands, ect.

2. I feel like the direction it's headed, there's a lot of possibility for the tools to be utilized as a way to speed up or enhance real human artist's workflows, which is exciting. Especially when it comes to visual development and brainstorming.

Personally, as a real human artist, I'm excited about the way it can be used for creative projects. I've already been doing a lot of visual development for fun and playing around directing the program to create some FFXV fan 'art'.

That being said, it's obviously super shitty that these algorithms were trained off of artist's work without their permission. I do think it's unethical to feed the system more of any artists works without their explicit consent.

However, the program already has an insane amount of data, and that isn't going away. I think generative art is here to stay, and over the years it will be adapted to more and more by real human artists.

I've been pondering long and hard the past couple weeks about the ethics of it all and I've come to this conclusion. People who generate AI images and call themselves 'AI artists' are huge tools. Lol. Even worse are the ones who crank out hundreds of low effort AI images each week to try to sell prints/adoptables and tout their Patreon begging for people to (and I quote) "Support their work".

Obviously a huge factor in all of this mess is money. (Thanks, capitalism!). Due to the fact that in order to survive in our society, we need to have a marketable skill that we can trade for income, real human artists having their income taken away by AI and AI users is a huge ethics problem. I think if we lived free of capitalism, the whole AI dilemma wouldn't exist the way it does now. It would be much easier to accept the technology as a cool advance instead of seeing it as a job/life destroyer.

I believe that using the AI to create for the joy of creation is alright. As long as you aren't making money off of it, or feeding more artist's work to the AI monster.

I think any type of group feels a need to define themselves some way. Like we've seen, a lot of people are calling themselves AI Artists. I think that' s a huge insult to real human artists who pour their blood sweat and tears into their craft for thousands and thousands of hours.

I think a more appropriate title would be AI Creative Director, or AI prompter. AI prompt engineer is a little silly IMO but it's better than AI artist.

Okay my long messy AI rant is over! If I post any AI images that I directed the generation of, I'll be tagging them with 'Nijijourney' so they're distinct from my real human art. Peace.

I know we haven’t really gotten to it in the anime yet but his whole thing is the fact HE DOESNT KNOW EVERYTHING- but he’s also aware that he knows a lot more than everyone else so people view him as this all-knowing unbeatable person when it’s simply not the case

Like, he puts himself on such a high pedestal cause he knows his family puts him on such a high pedestal, they expect him to be able to do everything and to know everything, and that’s why he fights so damn hard for the agency - he doesn’t want to let his family down

He’s always feels so isolated cause of it, and he’s so scared of messing up and he does mess up and it RUINS him

That arrogant front he puts is cause once your the best of the best there’s no where to go but down right? He keeps trying to prove himself and prove himself - he also doesn’t want to give anyone the idea of otherwise because he feels he has to be the one to keep everyone safe- if he shows weakness their enemies will find the loopholes and unfortunately for him that did happen

And yes he’s childish! He was literally sheltered from the entire world besides his also super genius parents for the first FOURTEEN YEARS of his life, he genuinely believed the world was out to get him and didn’t understand it once he was shoved into the outside world alone without the guidance of his now dead parents

They planned on raising him as a normal child to be a good person and not use his genius skills for bad, but they died early into the plan so he just, doesn’t know, doesn’t know any different

He thought everyone could see what he could and just refused to acknowledge it, and every time he would call something or someone out HE would be the one punished for it, it wasn’t till Fukuzawa came along and told him that he’s the only one to do that

AND, he knew to protect him at the time he told Ranpo his deduction skills were an ability, and Ranpo held onto that for protection, cause he refused to believe he was different for no reason, Fukuzawa knew he would be isolated from both normal people AND gifted people because of it

Please read the Untold Story of the Founding of the Detective Agency if you haven’t, it’s the third light novel and it’s about Fukuzawa’s and Ranpo’s meeting when Ranpo was only 14 years old and how Fukuzawa took Ranpo in and eventually created the Agency - it really helps you understand him more and why he is the way he is

Also! Once he discovered he is different, his first reaction wasn’t to use it for this benefit, his first reaction was “the people in the world are like infants, I understand now, the world isn’t cruel, it’s just stupid, and I need to protect them!” This has been his mindset since them, if no one else can see it, then he can and has to save them

It’s like having a pet and calling them stupid in an affectionate way whenever they do something dumb and taking care and nurturing them

Even if he’s not all that emotionally vulnerable and caring, he shows how much he cares through his actions - he’s different, he knows it, he states it like the fact it is, he brags as a manipulation tactic, but he still is a man who’s childhood was cut short, and grew up thinking murder is normal and a everyday casual thing, he loves praise and sweet things because he just simply does, he acts childish I believe as a way to keep a happy front and to stop others from worrying

“Alls well that’s well for me” he means it in the sense of, “if I’m happy, if I’m not worried about something, then no one else has to be, because I have the situation handled” and we see the opposite of this during the DOA arc, when he’s trying to outsmart fyodor and suddenly he gets dead serious - everyone is unsettled by it, they realize how serious the issue is

Idk guys I just, yes he’s a man child at times, yes he acts arrogant and self centered, yes he loves sweets and a lot of things children love but I hate it when people see it as his only traits

They don’t realize how deep his character is and how much he knows. His deduction isn’t just towards mysteries, he can read people in an instant, figure out their life story and more

He may not be a manipulation expert like Dazai but I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves in his other skills and how just, aware he is of everything happening around him - and how normal he tries to perceive himself and live his life in other non serious situations

And people don’t tend to realize how much he cares for everyone, all the innocent people in the world, and especially the agency who is family to him - he’s sacrificed himself on more than one account to protect them

He also puts his trust in the world even though he knows not everyone is as smart as him, because he knows he doesn’t know everything like when he did the press conference to prove the agency innocent

And you can see how relieved he is when some of them do, even if there’s a book that change reality to point all fingers at him

Anyway yea, I sincerely hope with the fourth season (and praying they animate the untold origins for the first couple eps like they did with the other light novels) more people will appreciate Ranpo, and the true Ranpo and not just some simple aspects of his character traits

Other than my story (thank you again for letting me ramble about it to you! ♥) I'm here because I saw the post you replied about Nyx getting Feyre's power or not, and I would say (If only SJM was consistent in her writing…) that he shouldn't at all gain anything from Feyre's, because her powers are what (at least it seemed so to me) keeps her alive: it's what brought her back from death and as a Fae.

She only has a drop of the powers of the courts and I don't think it's something she can really give away (voluntarily or involuntarily), and can I say that it seems that Nyx is like a copy and paste of Rhysand? Sjm says that the bonding happens for the perfect partner for reproduction (I hate it, really hate it, like do you hear whatttttt are you sayiiing) but it doesn't even make sense? Because Feyre was human, who can say if she would've ever become Fae (especially in the way she did) unless the cauldron saw in the future or he knew about it OR Rhysand lied and he wasn't mate with her since she was human, bc it wouldn't make sense.

No one of the actual existent mates/bonds make sense (no, scratch that, Lucien and Elain can make sense lol, but watch Sjm ruin them, I just know she will one way or another) like: why Nesta and Cassian? It would've have make more sense (with SJM logic) to pair her and Rhysand together, to make them mates.

Because Feyre was not made from the cauldron, she has no blessing from the Mother, she is bound to all courts and to none at the same time.

Her magic responds to her, because the ones who give it to her are alive and so her source of power is sustained.

New theory incoming: yes, she has a drop of each HL, but what if the drop still needs the source of it to actually function? Their powers where made a part of her to let her be reborn into a Fae and she's bound to them in a sense, and at the same time she isn't (like when in the Summer court she used the speckle of it to enter, but the book recognized she WASN'T the HL of Summer, so drown now kind of thing)

Not to count that a drop can still be extinguished because maybe it still needs to be sustained by its source, but it can't take more than what it was given.

Maybe it's the (one of the) reasons why Rhysand doesn't want Tamlin to actually die? Because if he dies the link will be broken, because the new HL wasn't the one to grant Feyre her life, so the "bargain/sacrifice" wouldn't sustain and she will lose the Spring powers?

What if the death of the other HL means her death too? OR what if killing them and absorbing their power leads to her total destruction? Because she would become all of the courts, feels everything of their suffering and joy and it would be too much to bear.

Mhm, it's food for the thought for sure, ahaha

Still, on the matter of Nyx: it would be bonkers if he did get something of the powers of the other courts because it wouldn't make any sense. Like, at all.

And I doubt he could then be considered as a real heir of the Night, if Rhysand would happen to die (lol) I doubt the magic would rush to him, when he's "contaminated" (he belongs to it, but also not, too many links to bear) by the other ones. Just some theories, ahaha

OOOOOhhh I love the theories about Feyre's powers here!!

One theory I briefly explored was in a crackfic I wrote about if Feyre and Tamlin shapeshifted and Feyre impregnated Tamlin before she left for Night (lol) but obviously I made it way more complicated than it needed to be. And I wrote about Hybern 'absorbing' Feyre's magic, and this not just reverted her to human but reversed the healing the High lord's magic gave her, so she died once more.

I think it would be super cool to explore Feyre being magically soul bonded to each court, and without the magic of each High lord in particular she would die.

I think in theory what would make Nyx having Feyre's powers make sense is if Feyre being given the High lord's powers healed her body and a side effect from being healed from each Court was the gift of their magic, but even that doesnt really make much sense, its never really been explored cause I think SJM just doesnt think of it lol. But I like your idea more.

For Nyx, I am half certain he only exists in the story as 1- A plot device for Nesta, 2- Because SJM had a son and wanted to give Rhysand one as well. I think he is literally just meant to be another marketable aspect of the books as this is what SJM does a lot.

Her characters in ACOTAR are weirdly empty, with no real hobbies or interests, their personalities are cardboard cutouts of stereotypes for these kinds of men, and I truly think they like this so SJM can market them and profit. Which, whatever, it just means her characters are empty and people can project onto them easy.

Overall, SJM has little to no consistency in the ACOTAR series, there are many gaps and I highly doubt they will be filled by the story's end.

In any case, I am going to go with my personal favorite theory, Nyx gets Nesta's silver flames and becomes a witch.

But yes, obviously people have the right to decide if they want artists and writers to keep being motivated to post works on here for free or not.

As a writer myself, I just don´t understand the rationale behind it. There is literally zero reason not to reblog. It takes just as long as leaving a like and if you have zero patience to type out the tags then you don´t even have to necessarily to do that ( even if I will literally love you if you do!)

Likes do and mean nothing. They´re the equivalent of being left on reading after writing a long and heartfelt message.

Reblogs help our words getting spread around and actually show us that people care about our posts and want us to keep doing them.

But why have some people decided that they just refuse to do the thing the entire website is built around that would actually help their favorite blogs to stay motivated?

They have the choice not to reblog anything but it´s a selfish one and they better not complain when they get blocked or their favorite creators stop posting.

Just think about it: People ( me included) take hours out of their busy lives to write something and then post it because they want people to read and enjoy their works.

Writing sometimes takes hours of time and effort and it´s not always easy. If we were just going to do it for ourselves there would be no need to type out all of it out because the main fun part of the creative process to me is just daydreaming about an idea I had.

Actually putting it into words to tell a compelling story is tough and takes lots of patience. But we do it anyway because we want to share our ideas with other people, we want to talk about them with others. We want to ramble and fantasize about different scenarios. That´s fun.

It´s only natural to want at least some sort of feedback after spending so much time on something. And then it just hurts when people refuse to reblog your posts for ctually no reason at all, other than that they´re lazy or think a reblog is something super rare and special that only the "best" posts get to benefit from.

( Seriously, I don´t understand the sentiment of "Oh I really liked this but I didn´t like it enough to actually reblog and share it with other people. I don´t think the author should get any recognition. Oh but they better keep writing anyway and fast!")

At this point, rambling about ideas in a friend´s dms feels way more fulfilling. You guys have no idea of all the extensive rambles I went on with Korka that most likely will never see the light of day.

Why should I put in the effort and write it down to share with others when they can´t even bother to spend a single second to reblog it to show me that they appreciated what I wrote.

It makes no sense. Feedback and the back-and-forth with readers and fellow writers is what keeps us going. It´s super fun to get a conversation going about a cool idea you had! It´s not fun at all to see the notes on a post go up but no one saying anything. All that tells me is "huh, I guess people didn´t like this one. Guess I won´t post any of that anymore"

This complete lack of feedback from readers combined with work picking up is actually the main reason why I stopped writing for a few months. It didn´t feel rewarding anymore.

The recent yandere Alcryst post is actually one of the reasons why I started considering posting a bit more again. I was pleasantly surprised by all the nice tags and comments that one got and it made me smile every time I saw a new one pop up. I don´t care if it didn´t get as many notes as most twst works, I still felt way more satisfied and proud of it.

And that´s sort of where I come to the conclusion of this post:

Feedback matters, it really does! Likes tell us absolutely nothing, you could have downright hated it for all I know. But rest assured that I do screenshot every nice tag or comment I get, no matter if it´s actually a thought-out comprehensive analysis or just someone going "HJVJMVJM". I appreciate all of these so much. I save all of them in a little folder and look at them to cheer myself up when things might be tough.

So please, if you want your favorite blogs to continue then reblog! Maybe even leave a nice comment! Don´t forget that you get all of this stuff for free, creators are the ones keeping a community truly alive. You would probably be sad if your favorite writer or artist suddenly stopped posting due to a lack of support.

Please. Take that single second out of your life to hit the reblog button. It helps out more than you think and goes a long way to keep us motivated.

I love writing realistic kink. It’s so fun for me. If you’ve read Heartless, my Ghost x Reader fic, you know I love me some good kink representation. Chapter 29 will be a super fun exploration of primal kink and CNC.

I want to note that without much further detail, I myself am a part of my local kink community, most of my friends are also a part of my local kink community, and I bring quite a few years of experience with me to the writing table!

(All of my friends, including myself, are queer/trans and various permutations of disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent, mentally ill, etc. Many local kink spaces to me are some of the most disability accessible spaces in our area. At least a third of the kinky people I see and socialize with on a regular basis are visibly physically disabled. We continued to mask far past the expiration of our local mask mandates.)

While Dream is and always will be a dom, Reader has more way experience with modern kink culture and norms than he has.

Modern kink was very much pioneered by the queer/trans scene of the Weimar Republic in the 1920s and 30s, and then again by Western queer people of the 50s through today. Morpheus would have been in the cage during all of this massive cultural creation and evolution.

What to him might have been something he would need to “acclimate” past partners to is now normal in this (relatively) new subculture. And Reader is very familiar with this subculture.

Reader is definitely a sub. Unfortunately, I tend to write from experience and I really cannot make myself relate to any other mindset 🤣. I do view stuff like d/s as not just actions but mindsets, personalities, and approaches to relationships.

Morpheus needs to be in “control”. He wants someone he can care for, protect, help, guide, etc. I have him characterized as someone who needs a productive, positive outlet for these existing control tendencies. Reader needs someone who can care for her, who can help her, guide her, etc. That’s something she wants and knows is good for her.

Brushing her hair, feeding her, etc, these are all d/s things that are mutually fulfilling for Morpheus and Reader.

¹ actually tho speaking of blue (language rant incoming) many cultures have different ways of categorizing colors and our color perception is in part shaped by that! a lot of languages differentiate btwn lighter hues of blue and darker hues of blue (e.g. russian and turkish) SO when i say "blue" i am actually thinking of the color "mavi" which refers to lighter shades of blue!! isn't that rly fucking cool!! the other word "lacivert" refers to the darker shades of blue. now, mavi is the more general name for that color, and lacivert could be considered a shade of mavi, but even then, a lot of native turkish speakers would find it super odd to call a super dark blue thing mavi. even calling something koyu mavi (dark blue) wouldn't be the same as calling that thing lacivert even though lacivert refers to a darker blue, bc guess fucking what there is also.....KOYU LACİVERT!!! isn't language so cool. i love thinking about language and words wait what was i doing

KASPIAN CALDWIN is a werewolf as aforementioned and he’s actually a single father with 3 separate litters (hence why his story was called ‘litter support’ before i thought he could fit well with hue and jihan and added him to the bunch). tl;dr his first litter was with a woman who groomed him 😬 and he had them young and he barely has contact with them, the second litter the mom passed away during childbirth and the grandmother of his kids hates him bc she blames him for it (she never liked him when he and his baby mama were dating). she managed to get primary custody of that litter and tries to badmouth him to the kids but they adore him and wanna spend time with him more (these are the ones who go to school with ozzi; the first litter is slightly older than esther). finally, he has a third litter with a one night stand gone wrong but he and the mom (corah) have a really good relationship as friends and they coparent. these kiddos are young and he spends more time with them but Man they are a handful LMAO. here’s a more in depth explanation of his situation actually. i forgot i wrote that lol.

to support all his kids (well the second and third litters really) he works like LOOOOONG ass hours as a construction/handyman/day laborer/honestly whoever will hire him) but he’s always barely scraping by. he and jihan end up meeting at a mutual friends house randomly. jihan offers to help with his kiddos since kas is clearly stressed and barely knows how to be a dad, and kas doesn’t really care about giving han blood in exchange bc unlike SOME people (hue cough) giving blood makes him sleepy so it helps him take a nap LMAO. han has never fed on his neck tho that’s too intimate.

he’s a good guy, just got into a Lot of bad situations in his youth and he’s just about pushing forty still trying to straighten it all out. he’ll probably think more about living his own life when the kids are all grown (so he says) but corah is always nagging him to actually LIVE a little. he listens to her. barely. i don’t really know where i want his story to go per se—nor do i know if i wanna make him a partner or not or if i should test the waters of him and corah actually getting together. thing is—they never were a couple. literally they were drunk, fucked, she got pregnant and they’ve been strictly friends ever since. (not that their kids understand that lmao, ESPECIALLY not gwin). but he’s a really sweet guy and he’s always down to help anyone in a bad situation even if it comes before his own needs. he and han are actually pretty alike and laid back like that. i care He.

at the interviews yeah they’re sitting—cuz it’s not for esther it’s actually mostly for them. tldr the WRP (witch resurgence program) matched witches with supernatural couples to deal with the sudden influx of witches suddenly returning to existence after being basically hunted out of existence. jihan and hue were chosen bc they were a couple and stable, but also because jihan (like some older creatures) has dealt with witches before, bc he’s so old lmao. bc esther is actually particularly powerful, and because this is the first group of witch children to make it to college age (esther and her peers) they need all hands on deck while they navigate these changes, so there have always been constant check ins from the government to see how es and ozzi were doing. the interviews themselves aren’t the weird part, it’s just they also get interviewed about their personal lives and relationships because (some) witches have powers strongly tied to their emotions and an unhappy or unstable home life could trigger Bad Shit LMAO. plus the government is trying to understand the toll of magic on families you get the idea. they’re both SUPER well behaved—almost. Too behaved if that makes sense. even if hue is the divorcer it’s not because he doesn’t love jihan—far from it, he’s divorcing him bc he loves him too much (i can’t make it make sense either) so he would never bad mouth him and same thing for han. but they’re not a couple. but the interviewer keeps saying mr. and mr. rvynwell and asking them about their yknow. marriage. so they’re both just so. awkward with it. they don’t deny it bc again cuz of the special circumstances of the WRP “technically” they can’t divorce but at the same time. they are super divorced. LMAO. so it’s mostly just them being extremely stilted and awkward and hue wanting to PERISH bc this is a nightmare

tbh, I started making videos bc of a mixture of self expression and boredom, LOL.

I started listening to regular ASMR to help me sleep/pass the time and stuff, and accidentally came across an audio RP series. I, of course, fell in love with the concept, and dove in head first!

the way you could tell such a powerful story through such simple means was really inspiring, considering I had tried other means of storytelling before, and they didn't really work for me (i.e, comics and such)

I started making audios because there were a few ideas I had that just weren't already out there, and besides, it just looked plain fun to do!

and I'm glad I did, because it's become a passion of mine :))

making audios on youtube have been the perfect in-between of drawing and writing, and I've always enjoyed the editing process (even when it makes me want to tear my hair out, haha)

Honestly, I never even expected to get this far with my channel, and I'm SUPER grateful for all the support I've gotten, and I'm super excited to see where else it takes me!

I know I get excited for every Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC pack, but I’m still gonna talk about it anyway LOL!

Despite the new Dinos, I’m WEIRDLY more excited for the free update! Specially because we get SO MUCH more variants! When the update introducing the variants came out, I ADORED it! But I won’t lie and say I wasn’t disappointed when only a few dinos got that treatment when there were so many models that differ so much from the originals that didn’t get the same treatment! So I’m super happy for this!

Concavenator is one of my favorite dinos (one of, I have MANY favorite dinos ngl lol)! So as much as I am excited for the Camp Cretaceous Tarbosaurus, the dino I’m most excited for with the DLC is actually this one!

I’m super excited for the Tarbo! Sure the Camp Cretaceous Tarbo just looks like a T-Rex with osteoderms slapped on it when Tarbos actually looked quite different, but tbf, this is Jurassic World we are talking about… getting mad at JW for being innacurate is kinda pointless imo… but then again I am on the lenient side of the paleo fandom that doesn’t mind inaccuracy as long as they aren’t monsterfied or are inaccurate in a documentary. But I digress… I’m super excited to get her!

Dino Rant incoming LOL:

This is gonna come out of nowhere but I wanna rant about it lol, I honestly HATE how in one of the endings of the interactive episode she just became T-Rex Fodder (aka my LEAST favorite thing in dinosaur tropes E V E R…) I love IRL T-Rex, but ngl, while there are a lot of movie and tv show rexes I DO love (Like Big and Little Eatie from Camp Cretaceous) I’m pretty biased against Hollywood T-Rexes and typically always let out a very annoyed sigh when one appears… mostly because they either make them stupidly overpowered and loose to nothing (like making them kill herbivores like triceratops with no struggle when trikes could EASILY kill a Rex for example… yeah I’m looking at you Life on our Planet), Introduce new dinosaurs only to kill them off, OR they do the opposite and make another dino kill a Rex without the Rex even struggling to just show how powerful this new dino is. CRAP IS REALLY FREAKING ANNOYING bro!

Pretty excited for the Gigantaraptor and Utahraptor too, though I’ll be honest, idk what to say other than I LOVE how these guys look!

long day for me.

my productive thing was that i helped my friend run a thrift swap! I came out of lab and she asked me to come help (i got service hours in return). it was fun! sadly i didnt find anything my size other than my donations i gave her before lol i also got a shirt back again though. her org is a sustainability and community club. i learn a lot from her! i also got to talk to my boyfriend and i ended up rambling about philosophy, which funnily enough, a subject i dislike. yet i am apparently good at…my professor at the time liked my writings so it was a proud moment for me! 😋 language and the evolution of the connotations or words was another thing i talked about to. an excuse to talk about the buffalo sentence😈😈😈😈 and the people with baltimore accents reading “aaron earned an iron urn” its super funny.

i should really cut out the social media. I’ve been doomscrolling in the morning which was not a good idea. the paralyzing guilt i have when i think about cutting out social media though. my heart goes out to the people suffering right now. I’m really at a loss because i’m really an audience member as conflict happens. i dont know what to do. it’s a privilege to be able to ignore things like war and conflict. And because of that fact, i feel so much guilt over it. Even having a neutral opinion is not good. People do not realize war is more complex than just picking sides with the good and bad guy. At the end of the day, we all want peace and to live our lives without terror. I hope there is a new compromise in the conflict.
