Sketch of Dante and Sanguinius heavily inspired by a painting “A Scout is Loyal” done by Norman Rockwell. I’ll finish it at some point between my shifts :’)

I’m going to try to make it look more like a painting versus my chalk brush stuff. Hardest part (figuring out what the hell their armor looks like and what Dante’s halo looks like from the side) is done so the rest rolls easy.

#I’m also trying to get the lineart to be thinner but not pixelated #might just have to ink it several times with different brushes atp #I’m so proud of the armor #also thank you joytoy for making the sanguinius figure because it makes a lovely reference #finally took my time on wings so hopefully those things come out okay #proportions won’t be super correct (can’t find super canon heights anyways) but it works since it will look more like the painting #sketch #warhammer 40k #sanguinius #blood angels #luis dante

First (successful) attempt at arting in CSP :”D This took ten years off my life and I questioned myself every step of the way but I learned a lot from playing around in a new program. Will I ever do something this detailed again?? My brain says no but my heart says maybe!!

I felt the need to draw my unicorn boys after a long period of not doing that. I'm actually super happy with these, I feel like the two headshots of them are one of the best lined drawings I've ever made.

#I don't know why I drew Nightlight with such an edgy expression #the same goes for Melty crying #both of them are normally really silly #or in Nightlight's case shy #I kind of blame Nightlight's case on Lynxfrost's amazing artfight attack of him #that drawing unlocked his edgy potential for me #anyways i loved lining these?#I don't know what happened since normally I don't enjoy doing lineart as much as sketching #but these two headshots were super pleasant to line and shade #and I feel like maybe it shows in the end result? i'm glad that getting back into osmt and drawing in the show's style made me realize i could get a little silly with the colors i use for my lineart, i'm having a lot of fun playing with that in my recent stuff.

#like i always avoided using straight black in my art bc i think it looks better when it's tinted w/ another color #but going beyond that and using like a red or purple for my lineart is so fun #i also feel like it makes the rest of the colors in my recent pieces pop more which i'm happy about #( that could also be bc i got a new tablet that doesn't have inaccurate colors like my old one but still )#anyways i just finished the attack i was working on and i'm super proud of it aaaaa #i'll post it tomorrow since it's late but yeeeeee i'm excited #mj rambles
