his keys 🔑 have a weird ass mesh of keychains on it like: Ally flag keychain and a flag keychain for every single label a person has come out to him with, also a keychain from every museum, tourist spot he’s ever been, also a beer and bottle opener he’s a frat boy duhhh, he has a little bracelet that is made of sparkles and purple beads that steph gave to him but it was too small so he put it on his keys, a collage logo keychain, a keychain from his local gym and one with rugby on it etc

Alfred is really not that romantically inclined, so the most important thing in a S/O for him is just… being chill and fun.

He’d like a partner that finds his random whims as fun as he does. Someone who would love to go on impromptu road trips and jump in the ocean with all your clothes on!

He really wouldn’t get along well with a S/O that tries to tone him down or constantly tell him no. Being able to reel him in a little bit would be good, but everyone else is always limiting him, he wouldn’t want you to be one of those people.

Another thing he’d absolutely adore is a partner that’s very unique! He doesn’t like being bored, so if you’re weird he’d love it!

am mostly writing these rambles for you monica, so i hope you’re looking over here. i was supposed to make this into a simple text post with a couple of screenshots but well, this happened instead. i hope you like it :’D

TOP 10 Puen Outifts explained:

10. Home Alone an all-black slacks and dress shirt + gray jacket -combo. i am obsessed with how puen looks in all-black here, especially when he takes the jacket off. he just looks So Good. i can almost ignore the pain and heartbreak. i can almost forget that talay is not there with him. tbh am questioning why he needs to wear something so sexy when he’s missing, yearning, longing, grieving, lamenting.  

9. Kannes Film Festival suit a green-brown striped suit with a black shirt under it. out of all the suits puen wears during his time in the other universe, i like this one the most. i also like the one he wears to their first movie premiere (the gray gradient is cool) plus the magenta suit he wears to the wedding, but i do not like his white slacks. tbh in that wedding, talay outshines him so i had to leave that one out. this one however comes with the most fashionable friendgroup, a beautiful bf (in navy blue), and a chest pin i find fascinating. am so sad we see so little of it.

8. The Yellow Jacket a simple jeans + a sleeveless shirt -combo with a light yellow jeans jacket. from my favorite episode, from one of my favorite scenes. i love the soft yellow on puen and how it makes him light up. he absolutely beams when they’re filming the interview video and he gets to tell talay how much it means to him that they got to meet. the outfit also seems to make him extra playful and i love it. a big minus is that this outfit is the one puen wears when we last get to see joob. 

7. All denim an all denim outfit with matching jeans and a jeans jacket + a one colored shirt under it. puen wearing denim on denim makes me go wild. every time i see this outfit i just drool a bit bc he looks so fine. what a man. i think he should wear all denim more often, mix it with all the shirts he owns, maybe get a couple of color variations; a faded blue, a darker blue, maybe an all-white one... the options are infinite. 

6. The Green Shirt a simple dark green long sleeved shirt and dark jeans. nothing special really but i love how the shirt looks on puen. it shows off his body and arms, makes him look fashionable but super cozy. his hair looks darker and the outfit comes with a plant! also am just very fond of the “love confession” puen makes in this shirt and the satisfied smile he gives when talay ends up looking at him with his mouth open. i support my menace of a man in all of his chaotic life choices. 

5. Moonchild a combination of black pants, a dark blue shirt, and a gradient black & white jeans jacket. the jacket here is truly a legend. i love it so much. but the outfit also works so well without the jacket, and i think that makes it even better?? two outfits in one! so handy. puen looks sinful in the plain blue shirt, and with the jacket on, just very cuddly. one hug is all i ask for, dear sir.

The Suspenders black slacks with a simple white dress shirt and suspenders. someone really said here, “we’re going to introduce puen in the first part of the first ep and leave the whole audience reeling” and got away with it. they really had to give puen the most glorious five minutes of his life and i think i am still somewhere in the ditch bc of it. this outfit has everything; it looks snazzy, his waist is snatched, hair is styled, tits are out. it comes with the smirk of a pleased cat and the fond look he gives to talay’s antics, truly the best thing ever.

First date dark jeans and a simple, v-necked red t-shirt. puen owns three variations of this same red shirt for all the big events of his own love life: the first date, falling in love in the glass house, and the big realization after the bucket hat. each shirt has different length sleeves: t-shirt, long, and sleeveless. my favorite is the first date outfit with a simple red t-shirt bc i get to see all of puen. there’s so much leg and the characteristic hand-on-cocked-waist -lean. i love the flirtiness. less is really more with this guy. 

2. Reunion tastes sweet light blue jeans and a sleeveless, light gray-brown top. it’s really a tie between this sleeveless shirt and the orange one that comes later but am obsessed with this episode so. also i love, love, love the scene where they’re sitting on the stairs bc puen’s hair looks like that. he looks so cool and pretty and cute, and then makes me so sad bc am so soft for him. someone really decided to put all the comfort in this one man and then dress him like this and yeah, i really get it talay, i also would count every minute without him.

Drunken night out a dark blue button-up with black jeans. tbh the biggest reason i even wanted to make this list was this outfit bc how could you not mention it?? my absolute favorite outfit on puen hands down. the blue denim shirt! the skin tight jeans! the goofy smile and drunken stumble! the soft hair! gosh he looks so good but is also such a baby. i don’t want to talk about him sprawling on the stairs like that bc i have a reputation to keep. bonus points for the snacks bc puen gets to enjoy too little of those! and gosh don’t even get me started on those puppy eyes, my heart is melting. 

Bonus: Homecoming pajamas a set of light blue-gray pajamas, didn’t include this one to the list itself bc pajamas don’t count as proper clothing right? but god, i never really thought about what puen wears when he sleeps so i remember just squealing when i saw him like this. he’s so soft! so baby!! idk how talay isn’t just instantly cuddling the heck out of him. he looks so huggable it makes my hands itch. and he’s so happy like this! i bet he never wants to change out of his pajamas again.

Hot on the heels of 1993's Sonic CD and 1994's Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (& Knuckles)released on the Sega CD platform, 1996 saw the release of a two-episode Sonic the Hedgehog original video animation in Japan (that's OVA for those unfamiliar with anime terms, meaning a popular release method that's a sort of direct-to-video release rather than airing on television or in movie theaters). It was also compiled into a single 53-minute video and dubbed by ADV Films when it arrived in America in 1999, coinciding with the release of Sonic Adventure.

Immediately apparent is the retention of many of the elements that made Sonic so popular in this era. First you have the art style of Sonic CD, recreated faithfully by Studio Pierrot (also responsible for animating shonen anime classics Naruto, Bleach and Yu Yu Hakusho), with the even higher animation quality than the animated sequences of the then-new video game afforded by the budget of OVA format. There's also the soundtrack composed by Mitsuhiro Tada sporting an incredible blend of synthesizer, drums, keys and horns that's still stunning to this day and tragically never released in any official capacity (though an early production reel of the soundtrack, including its clever and catchy main theme sung by Riyu Konaka, was leaked in 2020 thanks to a Russian Sonic fansite). There's also the story and cast, an unthinkable (in 1996) teamup between Sonic and friends with nemesis Dr. Eggman rounded out by a few original characters such as the charmingly feral brat Sara, notably being the first instance of oddly human (or at least in this case humanimal) love interests for Sonic.

As previously mentioned, Sonic OVA nails a lot of things about the series that made it so popular at the time including the portrayal of its lead characters. Sonic has his cocky coolness, Tails lovable kid genius with plenty of vulnerability and Knuckles has both all the toughness and silliness one would expect. Aspects of all three of these characters would come to be either lost of hyperfocused on in the years to come and it's pretty great to have a piece of media capture the protagonist trio in such robust detail, with each character getting several moments to shine and their own significance in the events of the OVA as opposed to being ultimately completely beholden to Sonic to save the day.

Another retention from the video games of the time is the action and sense of speed with Studio Pierrot having done a wonderful job animating not only several sequences of traversal straight out of the Sega Genesis games complete with cameos of enemies along with several impressive fight sequences, as well as a few small instances of impressively thought out interaction between both characters and environment. In terms of the story and animation it's clear that the people involved in the project really understood the assignment and never phoned it in or lost sight of what they were doing.

While a wonderful snapshot of the series at the time, Sonic OVA also features a few interesting elements that look to the future. Planet Freedom, the world in which the characters inhabit in this particular incarnation of the series, features a distinctly New York City in post-apocalypse locale that would later come up again in 1999's Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. Sonic OVA also positions Tails and Dr. Eggman as more direct rivals than previously seen, which would come to be a staple of the series starting again with 1999's Sonic Adventure. Sonic OVA is not entirely without its own quirks that would not be retained however, most notably referring to Knuckles as a mole and seemingly giving him the ability to outright fly as opposed to merely gliding.

Some may find the English cast to be annoying, but personally this is my favorite casting of the characters and the voices I always associate with them - they're teenage (and in the case of Tails, a child) cartoon animals after all. Regardless of which language you choose to watch in, Sonic OVA is a fantastic time and an interesting snapshot in time that effectively communicates why a lot people had so much fascination with Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog in its prime. It's also not everyday that this era of Sonic's music, largely featuring reworked compositions of Masato Nakamura's band Dreams Come True and later various songs by Michael Jackson (itself an interesting footnote of Sonic development lore), manages to feature tracks that stand up to the mainline games' quality, but Sonic OVA definitely includes a few songs that will stay with you and it's a shame that until recently the soundtrack has been almost completely ignored by Sega.

A gem hidden among the stones, Sonic the Hedgehog OVA is undoubtedly stardust.

I don't know much about Broadway shows, but I tried watching some clips from what I'm guessing was the press reel? and (this is just me) the performances looked so stiff. I got straight up Balki vibes from George de La Pena.

The day the reviews were published, box-office sales dwindled to $20,000, Mr. Starger said, a death knell for a show that cost more than $400,000 a week to run. It might have lost $200,000 to $300,000, he said, if he had kept it open another week and invited the Tony voters, fulfilling the award requirements, and it would have taken an infusion of $1.5 million to allow the show to run through January, thus giving it a chance, however slim, to go on. Michael A. Shingledecker Jr., 18, of Polk, Pa., was killed almost instantly about 1 A.M. Saturday when he and a friend were struck by a pickup truck while lying on a two-lane highway in Polk, a small borough in western Pennsylvania. His friend, Dean G. Bartlett, 17, was critically injured. And Michael Macias, 17, of Syosset, L.I., was critically injured when he was hit by a car at 10:40 P.M. Saturday as he lay in the middle of Bayville Avenue in Bayville.

Law-enforcement authorities and family members said the teen-agers were apparently copying the daredevil stunt from "The Program," in which the college football hero shows how tough he is by lying down in the middle of a busy highway as cars and trucks whiz by in the dark. There are fears that scores of other young men are copying the stunt. 2

The Walt Disney Company said today that it would delete a scene in its new movie "The Program" after one teen-ager was killed and two others critically injured while apparently imitating the scene.

The brief sequence near the film's start involves several drunken college football players lying in the middle of a busy road to prove their toughness. The scene will be removed by Friday, Disney said today, and the film's coming attractions trailer will be pulled.

Some ABC stations wouldn't air it, (including my local ABC station which is something I didn't know until just now! 4) Major advertisers refused to buy commercial time during the show:

And while each episode of the series has been fully sponsored, at prices averaging around $115,000 for a 30-second spot, almost all the commercials so far were bought by marketers of over-the-counter drugs and film distributors, which are far less susceptible to complaints over program content, because they are much more interested in quick mass-market impressions.

Many spots are for products that are far from household names: Permathene-12 diet aid, Wash 'n Curl shampoo, Cortizone-10 anti-itch cream. But those advertisers on the show seem satisfied. 5

I found a commercial break, and sure enough it felt more like a day time talk show commercial break instead of one for a major television program. I know people don't really pay attention to commercial breaks, but you could really tell a difference.

Pedro Almodóvar became the face of post-Franco Spanish filmmaking in the United States, where we often overlook the powerful influences on his work by other Spanish directors. He was, for example, a great admirer of Iván Zulueta's Arrebato, for which he dubbed the voice for Helena Fernán-Gómez's character, Gloria, and he later cast its lead actor, Eusebio Poncela, in his films Matador (1986) and Law of Desire (1987). Certainly it's possible to see how the uncompromising work of Zulueta in Arrebato, his second and last feature-length movie, may have liberated the imaginations of Almodóvar and his fellow Spanish filmmakers after the death of Franco in 1975. It's a movie about the intoxication of making movies, and about intoxication and its consequences. Zulueta, who was a heroin addict, gives us a film about a similarly addicted filmmaker, José Sirgado (Poncela), who just after finishing the production of a horror movie receives a package in the mail from Pedro (Will More), a man he has met only twice before. It contains an audio tape, a reel of Super 8 film, and a key to Pedro's apartment. And so begins a complex tale in which José becomes entwined in Pedro's very odd life and obsessions, at the end of which José becomes obsessed himself, absorbed into the strange experiences that Pedro has documented on film. Arrebato (which means "rapture") is an often muddled and maddening film, but muddle and madness are what it's about. It flopped commercially, but gathered a following at midnight movie screenings in Madrid, which eventually led to its video release and a wider audience.

Technically yes. My middle name is a biblical one, and also my…. Aunt?? Cousin? I’ve met her but I think she’s my dad’s first cousin and I don’t know what that means I am to her.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Like… what type of cry? Sobbed? End of December. Cried? About a week ago. From laughter? Sunday night. My brother was building a clearance gingerbread house and the icing said “made in a nut free facility” and my brother leaned over to me and said “so no men there?” And I lost it. Later he just fucking leaned over and started to hands free eat the house and I lost it again. Just little tears? Last night. I saw an instagram reel and I got misty eyed. I don’t remember what it was about.

3. Do you have kids?

Haha no. I’m not strictly opposed? But I’m not fucking doing that by myself and relationships are real low priority to me.

Not at the moment. I want rats someday but I’m so busy I wouldn’t be able to give them a good life 😞

As a child: basketball, soccer, football (like American football lol), tennis, cheerleading.

As an adults I’m pretty active but not really in organized sports. Now I’m doing mostly running, gymnastics, and pole dancing.

Hahahah i don’t even know. I don’t particularly want to work. However I wish I could do animal education at a zoo. I would love that. I would love just answering questions about iguanas.

Oh. Oh wait… my like, dream unbelievable never going to happen job would be an acrobat. Fuck. When I was younger interacting with circus related material like movies or books or even color palets would make my heart hurt. Like sometimes I couldn’t interact with it because it just hurt so much. It’s just so cool and fucking magical and mesmerizing. I loved it. And even at like 15 I thought it was too late for me to ever be a part of that world.

And then when I turned 22 and had a fucking life meltdown, I was watching fucking unus anus and heard Ethan talking about gymnastics and decided to just… try something. And I quickly found out it wasn’t too late?? That I still had a chance to learn and try and experience circus arts??? Now I’ve tried acrobatics and aerial silks and contortion and pole and got on a trapeze once. And now it’s my motivation for how I take care of myself. I have to eat food and move my body and take care of myself. I have to because if I don’t I’ll never be able to try lyra/aerial hoop. I gotta keep going because I’ve got pole on Wednesday and I’m so close to the body spiral.

When I get emotionally low I remind myself I gotta keep going so I can get back to my circus arts.

Everything I Managed to Watch in 2022

I might as well give you my thoughts on...exactly what it says on the tin. I'll try to keep things short and simple since I'm kinda tired and I wanna finish celebrating the year's end, lmao.

First up, the movies!

On the television side of things, Smiling Friends, Dead End, The Cuphead Show, and Super Robot Giant Brothers, were pretty good! The Cuphead Show got better after its rather mediocre first season and I grew to love it. Smiling Friends I was happy turned out good as I expected, and I'm excited for season 2. Dead End was a nice surprise, I grew to like the characters and I appreciated how it handled its LGBT and Autism representation. Super Giant Robot Brothers deserves more love, Reel FX did a good job with that one, had some dynamic action and fun character moments.

For decent stuff, the only one was Hamster and Gretel. Will get back to it, but I hope gets a better execution than Milo Murphy's Law, which I liked too but the second season wasn't so great, oof.

On the other hand, shows that didn't wowed me were Oddballs and sadly Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight. The former had some decent jokes and maybe a character that amused me like Max, but the other attempts at jokes fell flat and characters like Echo really annoyed me.

The Dragon Knight was like the biggest disappointment for me. As a huge fan of KFP, I was hoping it would turn out to be a good show, maybe a better outing than the last KFP TV show. But I stopped at I think episode 5 and lost interest all around. The animation was a bit unfinished, and the writing choices were kind of questionable. I am glad they brought back Jack Black as Po, but alas...

There's like other shows that aired this year along with new seasons of other shows I love, but I'll watch them for next year.

For the anime stuff, Demon Slayer Season 2 was great, same with Spy X Family and Attack on Titan. Really happy I managed to give it another shot. Chainsaw Man also aired and of course was incredible. I'm already caught up with the manga and I'm eager to see how they'll handle the rest of the story soon. Urusei Yatsura 2022 I also want to shout out. I need to get back into binging the original series, but so far, the reboot is neat!

And also, I made a list of Anime Openings I watched this year and fell in love with. Keep in mind, I haven't seen any of these anime yet based on this list, aside from the ones I just mentioned above and also My Hero Academia, but I lost interest for that series because of story problems lately, yeah...

I'll get the chance to watch the others soon, don’t worry!

so i got w my bf lol in early april! he so sweet n cute. he fr has the best version of me he so lucky

the reason y i say he so lucky bc i fr try my hardest not to be ugly or mean to me, he doesn’t deserve that. me n him r doin well :) prob bc it jst the beginning still but even then i tell him everything lol , i told him my darkest secrets n stuff (i thought he was gon be a stranger) but we always havin convos. i sleep w him once a week sometimes two, he so comfortable to sleep with.! i love to be ard him, we do little cute dates n i drove us to the movies to watch elemental it was so cute! so rn thats good

lets talk abt what i think and stuff

so i moved on lol as i said i found peace within myself , lookin at the old posts,, gosh who let me cook,,, i saw old posts, messages, and everything n its so crazy how much i changed in 5 months really. lookin at how immature i was , i was so clueless and stupid and lookin back at it now it likes been there uk? it was never a good thing from the get go:) i accepted that, i also accepted i used to be a bad person to but ik i got so much better, the guy im w he makes me want to be a better person.

eating? i dont eat anymore lol, i still eat below like 1000 cals , like every 2 weeks i will eat above it butttt idk! honestly in only this month i lost 8-9 lbs:) so now im 142 yippe yayayay my goal weight is 120-130 so in total i lost 38 lbs which is crazy. when my bf met me i was above 155 so im pretty happy w that

my life been so peaceful and im jst so glad alot of ppl left my life this year before i graduated, n im thankful for those ppl too without yall i wouldnt be who i am today uk? yes i was mad, childish and everything, that part it jst sum i still need to work on bc i do have anger issues. but even then i dont like arguing anymore or jst fightin in general, yea thats what i learned what to do but its not worth it uk? on my insta reels i see some relatable posts that i relate to so much im jst like awh:3

Shooting Film

Recently I had a wild hair to do a camping trip with technology from the first 10 years after WW2 (1945-55) and document it with the old home movie cameras and the 620 still camera I've had sitting on a shelf for years.

Excited to say I have bought a reel of 16mm film for my lovely old 1930s vintage Cine Kodak Model K and I will be testing it out sometime soon. Possibly getting some spoopy B roll of Lone Fir cemetery and the Witch's Castle.

Because it's a fairly cheap hobby I may be doing this a while until I can recover financially from recent car repairs. I will also be buying Super 8, magazine 8, 620, and 35mm film from the Film Photography Project to use in my various cameras.

It may be a while til everything is exposed, scanned, and uploaded but I will share some of my results.

When I first moved to Australia I was on a visa that didn't allow me to work. At the time I tried to come up with ideas for volunteer work that I could do while I waited for immigration to do their thing.

One plan I came up with was to go around to aged care facilities and put on showings of old movies. I had a box of old Super 8 films and figured I could put them to use. I never managed to get my hands on a Super 8 projector so my plan fell through.

Anyway, one of the reels I had was an original release of Goncharov. There were two great things about the Super 8 version. The obvious one being that it precede the later re-release that messed with the pacing and made a hash of the colour saturation. The second thing that was great about it was the packaging had a typo so the title read Goncharev not Goncharov.

Given the recent resurgence of interest in the film, a Super 8 version with a unique typo might be worth something. Do you think I can find the damn thing? I've moved house a bunch of times over the years and can't find my box of Super 8s anywhere. I hope they weren't thrown out.
