Do we know of any plot holes/retcons?

There are some. like god ROTM is littered with plot holes. but instead of getting into that. how about i talk about some s1 sunken scrolls. Scroll 21 stands out to me as Weird

"What is this? It looks like the proprietor of that shoe shop! Could there have been an ancient creature that consumed prawns as food?! A terrifying thought indeed..."

from this description we're supposed to take this as -the text here isnt inkling language and is just a gibberish stand in for a human language -inklings dont eat tempura or know what it is, and find it scary

in s1 times with how little we actually knew about splatoon's worldbuilding, people did take this at face value. then s2 gave us tempura food truck and other info about how normally seafood is consumed in the splatoon world. so either this was retconned, or it was always intended to be a joke but was too ahead of its time for an audience that knew nothing about the setting.

Here's another scroll i find odd...

"Since time immemorial, a rare type of electric catfish known as the Zapfish has been prized by Inkling society as a source of energy. In fact, the entire city of Inkopolis is powered by a single 100-year-old Great Zapfish!"

That "entire city of inkopolis" part sounds...off. what do you mean a fish powers the entire city? They have solar energy and wind farms and power eggs though? There's another potential explanation...

Inkopolis Plaza in JP is called ハイカラシティ Haikara City. Unfortunately this same word is also used for referring to the entire city of inkopolis, which has led to translation issues. For example, In the first artbook in english, there are several instances where stages are described as being "near Inkopolis" when the location is clearly in Inkopolis, and what's actually being referred to is Inkopolis plaza. Here, it could be read that just Inkopolis Plaza, which is just a section of the giant city of Inkopolis, is powered by the Great Zapfish. Or, they really do mean the whole city, which makes sense since the Great Zapfish chills in other spots around the city.

Either way, there is some unreliable narration happening here. what percentage of Inkopolis's energy usage comes from zapfish power anyways...?

… How did the Far Right claim Touhou, a, for lack of a better term, media franchise with works with messages like "Immigration is good and complaining about or demonizing it ultimately serves fascists" (Alternative Facts in Eastern Utopia), "Markets honestly just kind of suck in general" (Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market taken together, with the former having a plot about the exploitation of markets to enrich a few with a controlling interest and how controls on them can ultimately be gamed by those wishing to use them to their advantage, and the latter a message about how without control, markets ultimately even moreso end up enriching whoever's savvy and unscrupulous enough to take advantage), or "Capitalism is basically rule by organized crime in which everyone except the most powerful are slaves to those with more." (That's… not a subtle subtext to Wily Beast and Weakest Creature, or even just anything at all to do with the Animal Realm)

In ver. 1.14 of Sunken Fossil World, with the introduction of Okina's stage, two more songs were added. Consequently, Yuuma's themes, 強欲な獣のメメント (Memento of the Avaricious Beast) and 有機体全てのメメント　～ Memory of Fossil Energy. (Memento of All Organisms ~ Memory of Fossil Energy.) had their position in the Music Room changed from 23 to 25 and from 24 to 26, respectively.

The new songs, もうドアには入れない (No More Going Through Doors) and 秘神マターラ (Secret God Matara), have been added as number 23 and 24 in the Music Room.
