In Unconnected Marketeers, Eirin's card gives you the ability to automatically deathbomb when you get hit (please check /post/783813683857047552/ for more details). However, in a specific scenario, it can fail to work and you will die despite having bombs in your stock.
While I haven't encountered this issue myself, I've read about it on the wiki and Nylilsa (from nylilsa.github.io) sent me an example video of this occurring. It seems that you have to die right as a midboss who has dialogue enters the screen. Nylilsa's example was captured using thprac tool, so that's why the background doesn't match with what you'd actually see in a regular gameplay when reaching Tsukasa's fight.
I've tried to get the card fail by playing without any game modifications, but the timing has to be so precise that I haven't managed to die in the correct frame. As you can see, despite me dying as Sannyo enters the screen, the deathbomb ability still works as expected.
So unless you are extremely unlucky and die exactly at the "right" moment, it's unlikely this bug would really affect you.

Seiran's cards from 100th Black Market and Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost and Shou's card from 100th Black Market
Seiran's card in 100th Black Market is and Equipment card which gives you support projectiles that are fired from behind you in groups of 5.
In Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost, there are two Seiran cards - a pink bunny card and a purple bunny one. The pink bunny card is similar to the one from 100th Black Market, however only 2 projectiles are fired at a time instead of 5. The purple bunny card also fires 2 projectiles at a time, but they are placed at a greater distance from the player, one on each side of the player.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The name of the pink bunny card was updated from 舞い降りた兎 (in Touhou 18.5) to 舞い降りた月の兎 (in Touhou 19).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shou's card is an Equipment card which gives you an option from which you shoot diagonal lasers.

Eiki's cards from Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market
Eiki's cards are Passive cards, which grant you the ability to cancel death in exchange of money (Unconnected Marketeers) or bullet money (100th Black Market). Although it has the same name in both games, the card is different (see /post/701358428995649536/).
In Unconnected Marketeers, you give 200 gold to be spared. However, in 100th Black Market, you need to have at least 300 bullet money to be spared and you will lose all of them when getting hit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Quite a big price to pay, but you get to live.

Yuyuko's card, Okina's card and Miko's cards from Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market
All of these are cards that erase bullets. They do not make you invincible so you still need to be careful not to get hit by a bullet that's not erased.
Yuyuko's card is a Passive card which erases some bullets while you graze. The card description was slightly updated in 100th Black Market, where a full stop was added at the end of the paragraph.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okina's card is an Equipment card which gives you a "Back Door" that erases bullets that get into contact with it. The card description was also slightly updated in 100th Black Market, where elipsis (the 6 dots) were added at the end of the paragraph.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miko's cards are active cards, which erase bullets when activated. The card's art is different between Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market (see /post/701276547738451968/).

Cirno's card, Sakuya's cards and Youmu's cards from Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market
All three of them are Equipment cards, which offer you an additional option from which you are able to shoot bullets.
Cirno's card gives you a similar option to the Summer sub-season from Hidden Star in Four Seasons, although compared to that, this one shoots more chaotically.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sakuya has two cards, a grey and a pink one.
The grey card resembles Sakuya's shottype from Unconnected Marketeers: green knives when unfocused and red knives when focused. The unfocus option can tilt depending on the horizontal direction you move (if you move to the left the green knives will be shot to the left at an angle). If you focus, you will lock the current position of the knives so you can keep the knives shooting at an angle to the left even when you are moving to the right. However, as soon as you unfocus, the knives will switch to their regular position depending on the direction you are flying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The description of the card was slightly updated in 100th Black Market, where it seems that a full stop was added at the end of the second paragraph.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The pink card shoots ricocheting knives. There is a bug where the knives would not be shot from the correct option (for more details please check /post/788725139010437120/).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Youmu's cards give you a phantom option similarly to Youmu's ghostly half. In 100th Black Market, the "Half-Half Ghost" is closer to the player than in Unconnected Marketeers. The "Spare Half-Ghost" exists only in 100th Black Market and sits at a slightly increased distance than the "Half-Half Ghost" in Unconnected Marketeers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Besides the distance from the player, the behaviour of the phantom is the same, therefore I will only include gifs from Unconnected Marketeers to show how it behaves when you move left-right or circle around, focused and unfocused.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first paragraph from the description of the "Half-Half Ghost" card was changed in 100th Black Market.

Reference run posted by Maribel showcasing it would be possible to collect all lifepieces using trance in Ten Desires, doubling them. This would give you a total of 8 lives, with a counter of 13/25 pieces for the last one.
Please read the description of his video on youtube because he detailed there what impediments you could face in a regular run. It requires precise routing to fill your gauge so you are able to trance in time and also good RNG.

In Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost story mode, if you skip the dialogue fast enough during Mamizou's and Saki's scenarios, Chiyari's name would linger on the screen even after the portrait and the dialogues are gone. This happens in both ver. 1.00a and 1.10c.
This doesn't occur with other fights against Chiyari in story mode.

Hi, I would like to report a bug for Touhou 19, which I thankfully have recorded, as I would hardly believe it myself, otherwise. Still, I am gonna explain it, too:
Defeating the final boss in a draw (untested if true for bosses that aren't final) will make you restart the game from stage 1 with the stage 1 boss replaced with the boss you drawed against. You keep all your cards obtained before drawing, you can obtain Zanmu's card for a story mode playthrough this way, yes getting the same card again on the second loop will make the effects stack on top of each other.
This might be repeatable for multiple loops of the game, if you can force a draw repeatedly.
Touhou ~ Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost - 06 - Yachie & Saki (youtube.com)
Glitch happens around 1:02:30
Hello and thank you for sending this!
For a visual reference, I will add some screenshots/gifs from your video:
the moment when you got the Draw (gif)
the moment you started stage 2 while having Zanmu's card equipped (screenshot on the left)
the stacking of cards (screenshot on the right)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your explanation is a bit different from the other variant I've heard, but it also makes sense. You pointed out that "Defeating the final boss in a draw (...) will make you restart the game from stage 1 with the stage 1 boss replaced with the boss you drawed against."
Nylilsa (at nylilsa.github.io/#/bugs/th19/draw-glitch) offered a different explanation to this glitch "It is possible to be sent back to Stage 2 (...). You will keep all of your cards (...). This also happens when you beat the last boss of Story mode, in which case you will obtain a card and be sent to Stage 2." While the statement answers the part from your message of "untested if true for bosses that aren't final", it doesn't consider the rematch as stage 1.
Your explanation makes sense as of why you got Zanmu's card, because in a regular run you don't get any card when you beat the last boss, the screen simply fades and the ending scene begins.
Tumblr media
But you do get a card after the stage 1 boss, so if that boss was replaced by Zanmu, then you'd get her card at the end of the stage.
Tumblr media
The Draw glitch existed ever since ver. 0.01a. Addamelech (at x.com/Addamelech/status/1655318363118116867/) posted that "I was at stage 2 vs Aunn and I died just in the very moment the timer was at 0 for stage clear so the game registered it as a Draw. It still sent me back to st1 vs Marisa and I now have 2 repeated mini Hakkero cards."
Tumblr media
For context, in the trial version of Unfinished Dream of All Living Ghost stages 1 and 2 from story mode had the opponent randomized, but stage 3 always had the same opponent. In the full version, each stage has its own established opponent.
Nazrin's story mode had Reimu/Marisa/Aunn as a possible opponent for stages 1 and 2, but Seiran as the certain stage 3 boss. In Adda's case, Marisa was the stage 1 boss and Aunn was the stage 2 boss. The Draw happened during stage 2.
Now, based on what you encountered in the full version, Aunn should have been the stage 1 boss after this Draw, but Adda faced Marisa once again. It could be due to the randomization of the opponents, that since the boss isn't a fixed character like in the full version, it just picked one of the three possible options and it happened to be Marisa once again. This situation also checks out for the other explanation (the one where you are sent back to stage 2), because yes, the next opponent in Adda's case was Reimu and not Seiran, showing that the stage after Marisa was stage 2 and not 3.
Which one of the two explanations is what actually happens? I don't know because I haven't checked the code, so if somebody has the passion, energy and time to research this, please let me know as I am curious about it!
This bug seems to have been fixed in ver. 1.10c.
Also, apologies that it took me so long to publish this ask (for reference to those unaware, @letspawsandreflect sent it back in April 2024, now it's July 2025). I didn't forget, it was one of those cases of "I'll post about it next week" and months passed until now.

10 years of Touhou Memories
Tumblr media
12 July 2025 marks the 10 year anniversary of this blog.
As a fun fact, the anniversary should have been few days earlier if I hadn't deleted the first blog. How did that happen? Well, the blog was quite fresh and I was playing around with the custom theme editor and when returning to the dashboard it was all broken, so thinking I might have accidentally done something to cause this and not seeing how I would be able to fix it, I just deleted the whole account and made a new one (this current one). But later I learnt that it was just how Tumblr was sometimes, breaking suddenly just to return to normal few hours later.
What made me create this blog? I am a Touhou fan since late 2011, but I wasn't really active in the community before to contribute with anything or interact with anybody. One day in 2015, somebody on Facebook shared these two posts from @magnoliaarch: /post/110590556326/ and /post/118484290686/, which are a compilation of Reimu's and Marisa's appearances throughout the games. I thought it would be a really cool thing to have a place where you could see all the appearances of all characters from the games and I looked up if such place existed, but wasn't able to find anything like that so I decided I will do that then. That's why in the early days of this blog all you could find were collages with the characters.
Why this particular name? The name was inspired by Trainman1405's blog clubpenguinmemories.com, which I was a big fan of during my teenage years.
Why Tumblr? It just felt like the most suitable place to post things about a game, the style of the platform and the format of the posts were exactly what I was looking for. I'm still on Tumblr, even though I use a custom domain these days. Being on Tumblr sure comes with some limitations than if I were to buy some hosting space and build a website from scratch there, but the community is what keeps me here. I always enjoyed reading the tags people leave when reblogging my posts and at the same time browsing through a dashboard that's not necessarily consisting of touhou.
Some stats? The 10 year anniversary catches me at around 4200+ posts. There were actually more posts 2 months ago, but I deleted a big chunk of the audio tracks due to the recent troubles with Touhou OSTs. As for the number of followers, they're somewhere around 7500, but many of the people who followed back years ago are now inactive. I block obvious bots, so the number shouldn't be artificially inflated.
Tumblr media
Having started this blog while I was still 19, I look back now as I am approaching 30 and see how much it evolved, like my life had. Nowadays I don't have as much free time as I used to, as real life responsibilities take a big chunk of my time (family, work, home). But I still love Touhou after all these years and I will continue with this blog as much as I can. I do answer touhou-related asks, some privately, some are published if the answer would be relevant to a bigger number of people. So feel free to send me asks or DMs, but please keep it touhou related.
Some closing remarks? I would like to thank you all for your nice messages and encouragement throughout the years, you have brought me joy and motivated me to continue with this blog. Sorry for those who wanted to get to know me better that I didn't engage too much with messaging, but I am not looking to make friends online, I hope you can understand. And for those who blocked me throughout the years, be it because I was posting too much and you felt like I was spamming your dash, or were just not vibing with my character/personality, I hope that you were able to make your tumblr experience better as the years passed. Thank you for those who offered constructive criticism, as that helped me not only make my blog better, but also helped me grow as a person.
10 years is a lot, many things have changed. I hope to be able to run this blog many years from now on and continue posting touhou trivia and helpful references. Thank you all again for being here!

As many of you know, there is a bug in Unconnected Marketeers with Sakuya's ricocheting knives card. But it also seems to occur in 100th Black Market.
Usually you fire the knives from the tiny rhomb option. However, if you have another Equipment card and if Sakuya's card is NOT the first card in the MENU, you will shoot the knives from the other option not from the rhomb. The card that is first in the menu will be the one which options will shoot the knives: in the example below if your card choice is Alice → Cirno → Sakuya (pink), you will shoot through Alice's doll, but if your choice is Cirno → Alice → Sakuya (pink), you will shoot through Cirno's option.

Please refer to this post for the difference in the order of the cards on the game HUD vs the menu in both Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market: /post/788721332025245696/.

In Unconnected Marketeers, the order of the cards on the game HUD is reversed than how it is in the menu (in the gif above: Alice -> Okina in the menu, but Okina -> Alice when the stage begins).
In 100th Black Market the order stays the same on the HUD as in the menu (in the gif above: Alice -> Okina in the menu and when the stage begins).

Kaguya's cards and Keiki's cards from Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market
Kaguya’s cards are actually not the same between the two games and they even have completely different art and description (/post/701358432697073664/).
In Unconnected Marketeers, Kaguya's card gives you the ability to produce a bomb when dying.
Tumblr media
In 100th Black Market, it is said that the card increases the amount of bullet money produced, but honestly I haven't noticed any difference from when you do not have the card equipped. I tried to graze a bullet, but it produced 2 bullet money in both instances.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I even tried to generate bullet money using the magic circle and it produced the exact same amount in both scenarios (32 bullet money in the example below).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, I don't really know in what situations it gives you more bullet money. If you have any idea please let me know and I'll update the post with a concrete example.
But Kaguya's card in 100th Black Market is not the only card that makes me feel cheated when it comes to bullet money. One of Keiki's cards (the one with the chisels), supposedly converts your money into 3 times as much bullet money when you purchase it from the shop. But if you do the math from the gif below it should be 177*3+317=531+317=848, however I only had 783 bullet money after the card purchase. What a scam...
Tumblr media
The chisels card is not the only card that Keiki has. She also has a haniwa card, which changed a bit between Unconnected Marketeers and 100th Black Market (/post/701273793184808960/), but the main purpose remains the same: to erase bullets using your options.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 100th Black Market you usually don't have shooting options, so the card just gives you some, but you'll still shoot from Marisa directly and not from the options, they are only for the erasing shield provided by the card.

In Mystic Square trial version, if you tried to return to the main menu while having the "Beep" S.E. as your main sound effect, the game would glitch (the video doesn't show it, but even if you Quit and reopen the game, it would still be glitchy like this).
To get rid of this, you can guide yourself through the bottom right text in order to get into the Option menu and select either "FM" or "off" as your sound effect, then starting the stage in order for the effect to update.
I've tried another emulator (Neko Project II) and the same thing happened, so it's not something specific to Anex86. I haven't tested other emulators for this and I'm not sure if this is happening because of the emulator or if it's some different issue with the game.

In Mystic Square you can choose between "FM", "Beep" and "off" as sound effects.
In the trial version, when you selected one of these options, the change would not take place immediately, you'll still hear the previous effect. In order for the sound effect to update, you'd have to either start the stage or use the Quit menu option and restart the game (I've tried to close the window from the X button and it didn't save the setting, I had to specifically exit through Quit).
In the full version, the S.E. changes take place immediately.

Violet Detector's Danmaku Dream 4 from Nightmare Diary starts with an attack that is very much like your shottype from the game. If you decide not to deal any damage to enemy Sumireko, the pattern will not change the whole fight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, if you start shooting enemy Sumireko, the pattern will change throughout the fight, although there aren't any HP markers to hint where this change will occur. The second phase of the attack consists of many orange and blue amulets, but they seem to be shot in two different ways, as seen as in the gif above.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the third phase, the amulets are being shot at a lower speed, but Sumireko starts teleporting around. The fourth phase additionally has fireballs.
