i know right? im over here on my fb marketplace because id rather meet up and see what theyre giving me, especially because people say theres no smoke in their homes but you can smell it in their belongings. and i just wait for a deal or anything! especially clothes. i understand when they still have tags on but most of these are used clothing. its hard.

Figgytried to pay attention to what Cotton and Calico were saying, or toat least pretend he was. He wasn’t doing a very good job since hiseyes kept being drawn towards the handsome baker behind the counter.

Carameljust looked so handsome as he worked. He was chatting happily withcustomers while putting together their orders. Every once in awhilehe’d flash them his charming smile and even from across the roomFiggy felt like melting.

Caramelwas his boyfriend. ❤️

Itstill didn’t feel real to him, that they were actually dating.Caramel who was always so confident and sweet could have had anyonehe wanted. Hell, half the customers in the shop were probably therehoping to catch his eye. But instead he had set his sights on Figgy.

Evenafter being together for a couple weeks, Figgy still couldn’t helpbut wonder “why me?”

“What?”Cotton looked at him confused.

Whoops.He’d said that last part of loud.

“What?Oh nothing. Don’t mind me…’

Feelingembarrassed, Figgy looked down at the table and took a sip of hisdrink. He forced himself to count to 10 before glancing back to thecounter, only to make eye contact with Caramel.

Hegave Figgy a wicked grin and winked.

“What’slover boy doing now?”

“What?”

Cottongrinned teasingly at Figgy. He hadn’t even noticed that she andCalico had stopped talking and were both now staring at him. “What’she doing to make you blush so hard?”

“Nothing.”Figgy mumbled, but he couldn’t help smiling.

“We can’t stay. You know I wish we could. That I could.” She broke their embrace and Peachy began sobbing. 

“I love you, please don’t go.” Mal stopped dead in her tracks. Of course Peachy, with her flair for the dramatics, would wait until she’s leaving to drop the L word on her. 

Mal spun around to face Peachy, and cradled her face in her hands.”I  love you too. But I still have to go. I’m sorry. I love you.” 

They kissed.

Mal walked away, got into the cab, drove away from Peachy, from her love, and as soon as she was out of Peachy’s sight, she broke down.
