Went on an adventure this weekend to @unidad_evergreenpark , a fairly new and inventive Latin spot with various regional influences. Tacos are the perfect barometer when trying new establishments such as this. I chose the steak tacos featuring skirt steak, applewood bacon, peppers, queso fresco, and crema. They were bursting with savory and spicy flavors. Just what I like. I thoroughly enjoyed these tacos. I needed something cold to drink on this warm day when I saw this beer that I had been wanting to try. New England IPA by. @samueladamsbeer . The nose is nicely hoppy. The flavor is citrusy with plenty of hops for a single IPA. Like most @samueladamsbeer offerings, this is a very solid beer, but not a particularly extraordinary one in this style compared to most craft breweries. I thought I couldn’t eat another bite today, but then I saw Blowin Smoque BBQ and the Jerk Turkey Tips that they were serving up. The meat was tender, well-seasoned, and had a smokey charred flavor that I loved. The fries were fresh and crispy. Tge sauce was sweet, smoky, savory. Beer break! Hopsecutioner IPA by @terrapinbeerco . Has a nice aroma, sort of earthy and malty. The taste is slightly less than that of other IPAs, but bold nonetheless. If hops is your thing you will like this brew. It sits on the palate very well and is not overbearing at all.
