So the book I am currently reading for uni is actually very good. The writing is so well done, and I am actually invested even though it's not a novel. The only problem I have at the moment is that I am not sure on how to take notes for it. There's so much information packed in every sentence, but since it's a sort of linear story of early modern oceanic explorations, with a main focus on Magellan it does feel less like a traditional non fiction book. I really don't know how much detail I have to put into these notes. What is for sure is that as long as I have a map near me to visually check where they are moving around the globe the book is quite approachable, and actually pretty interesting so far. I am definitely very aware of the fact that I am moving at a slower pace than normal, but I am doing what I can.

continued reading and underlining the book I am studying

got a photocophy of a map to keep in the book to avoid going insane (and did some diy because I had to print it in two sections)

I made the haiku to honour Joehills since after Docm is done with him he'll need something to cheer him up. If I'm honest my bets were so much on Cub that if it really turns out to have been Joehills it will truly surprise me. People might recognise the "mogami river" part from Nichijou since like Yuuko I'm not good with poetry. It also fits the water flooding that likely is going to happen :3/
