ASTRO OBSERVATION: Sun & Your Father:

I decided to make this an entire post. Accuracy will be influenced by the entire chart. If you're comfortable, please share your Sun placement and experience with your father.

Sun conjunct Saturn - Father or other authority figures may have high expectations. Father may be loving but reserved when it comes to showing it. Father may be demanding. Father may be a workaholic - or distant due to a diff reason. Desire to be a child again to go back to having the father's love.

Sun conjunct Mars - Father is assertive. Father may have anger issues. Father is action-orientated. Father is a powerful person. Father is a leader. Father is a fighter.

Sun conjunct Ketu - You’re detached from the father. Father is absent for important events - ex: Father is away during your birth. Father fails you in some way. If in the 3rd H, your father’s first marriage may have failed. Father could be dead or a deadbeat - aspects to benefics + good condition 9th H can influence this to be positive. The positive outcome the father is religious. The father gives you freedom. The father is well-travelled or foreign in some way.

Sun conjunct Venus - Your father is well-liked/popular. Your father is a social and easy-going person. Your father isn't assertive. Your father seeks balance - will compromise to keep peace. Your father likes to be comfortable or likes to be well-dressed, up to trends, show off wealth. Father can be indulgent or lazy too. Aspects + condition of 9th H can change this.

Sun conjunct Mercury - Your father could be your best friend. Your father is a communicative person. Your father is immature. Your father is more like a sibling, friend or business partner than a parent. Your father could work with his hands. Your father could be intelligent. Your father may be a reader, collector, he may like games - sudoko, poker, wordle, etc.

Sun conjunct Moon - If unafflicted, your parents could get along together/work well together. Your parents may be similar in viewpoints + influence on you. Malefics in 4th H, 10th H, 9th H, 3rd H can drastically influence the above. There is either a harmonious connection or a consistent conflict.

Sun conjunct Jupiter:

Generally, this shows your father could be religious. He may enjoy broader topics - politics, religion, etc. He may be optimistic & joyful person. He may lecture or preach for a living or simply it’s his style of communication. He may take risks + be carefree. He may not be the most reliable person. The entire chart will influence accuracy.

A positive outcome would be he is very supportive, very generous, a mentor to you. A negative outcome would be he is narcissistic, he is egotistical, he refuses to see things from other perspectives.

Jupiter’s influence on Sun expands the Sun’s traits. Possibly indicating your father may be “too much” of something. Depending your entire chart this will vary - ex: too demanding, too overbearing, too self obsessed, too indulgent, etc. It could be positive as well tho - very kind, very loving, very wealthy, etc.

EXAMPLE: Franz Kafka had Sun conjunct Jupiter. He had a complicated relationship with his father. The following is a quote written by him to his father:

“I would have been happy to have had you as a friend, as a boss, as an uncle, as a grandfather, even (although more hesitantly) as a father-in-law. But as a father you were too strong for me.”

“too strong” suggesting Franz may have felt his father to be an overwhelming presence in his life. Jupiter expands Sun’s energy to the point that the placement becomes overbearing and a burden.

Sun Conjunct Rahu

This can show you may dislike authority. You may have disinterest in a relationship with your father until a much later age. You can have a lot of anger. This can show domestic violence or other serious issues in family home - your own home or the one you come from.

Example: John Lennon has Sun conjunct Rahu.

For most of his upbringing, his father was absent. He didn't know who his father truly was - Rahu tends to fog things up, creating illusions and deceptions.

Once John had found success in music, his father re-appeared in his life. This can be connected to Rahu's immoral influence - Rahu makes one greedy, seeking reward and shortcuts. His father wasn’t there when John was building his career but he desired to be a part of his success.

🐻‍❄️ aquarius venus may feel very judged by their partners or may be embarrased of telling their partners about their interests or views sometimes and have fear of rejection. This is mostly what ive observed amongst the underdeveloped ones but i feel like this theme sort of follows them throughout their life but as they learn to accept themselves, it doesnt bother them.

🐻‍❄️ okay sooo, saturn tends to reward after hardwork but it also tends to create a lack mindset and also leads to lack literally in some cases and i hate it. Like i ik saturn has its own rewards but lorddddddddd?????? Like whatever house saturn occupies, you feel restricted and lack mindset also thrives and you really have to work hard to not let it affect you??????

My favourite natal chart aspects/placements these days have probably been Sun-Moon harmonious aspects as in Sun trine Moon, Sun conjunct Moon or Sun sextile Moon. There’s something about your emotions and your ego being in tune with one another thats just simply so beautiful.

The way one can unconsciously and consciously make decisions thats not only best for their highest goods but also inclusive of their emotions is truly amazing to me. It’s about having that level of comfort between yourself externally and internally to be honest. These people process their emotions so well as they embrace the truest idea that at the end, everything will be okay.

I also recently enjoy seeing Mars in Aries/Scorpio too! They react sooo well so positive reinforcement don’t get me wrong but its the way they can take a good constructive criticism and take feedbacks into consideration is truly spectacular. I look up to their way of taking criticism and instead take a step back at the same time, they embrace it and let it motivate them. This applies to all Aries and Scorpio placements by the way. Especially true if they understand your good intentions.

Another aspects I recently fell in love with is any 4th house placements. I talked about how the 10th house placements always have a very self-critical mindset before and 4th house placements can also experience the same thing, but for very different reasons. They’re extremely nostalgic people btw, the type to remember every good things you’ve ever done for them, to remember the time you believe in them and to one day, repay you for all of it, for your faith in them when no one did, for your kindness to them when they couldn’t give it to themselves:)

*just my opinions, take them with a grain of salt

-Neptune hard aspects to Mercury/ Neptune in 3rd/Pisces Mercury- people may constantly underestimate your intelligence and they’re genuinely surprised if you’re observant/smart

-The only Virgo risings I’ve known that are not skinny/petite have mars conjunct asc (even then they had a period of time when they were really skinny and either got out of that on purpose or on accident)

-Did you notice that a lot of Cancer Asc men get cast as like “traditional” manly men. I saw Ben Affleck was a Cancer Asc and Kurt Russel! They’re both known for their action movies (I like Kurt Russel more lol) and I was looking at Jon Hamm’s birth chart and he’s a cancer Asc too. He prefers to be a comedy guy, but looks like he walked out of the 50s so he had his breakthrough in mad men. (There’s also a lot going on there with that whole hazing scandal that I note everytime I see him so that’s a lot)

-Libra mars Asc try not to get frustrated but often their mars energy leaks out in other ways and they end up expressing their anger somehow despite the passive aggressive placement for a mars sign

-Fire Mercuries (especially Leo and Sagittarius) copy speech patterns/catch phrases a lot imo, almost as much as water Mercuries but less exact mimicry. Earth Mercuries tend to have very specific speech patterns that don’t change too much throughout their life, they can be very direct and to the point but will have a great deal of detail to share depending on the subject. Air Mercuries tend to have very distinct speech patterns and usually are the most likely to talk and write in their own sort of prose, I’ve known a few (specifically Gemini Mercuries) that have overcome speech impediments and become great, captivating speakers.

-Pluto touching Saturn can amplify its lessons and effects to a higher degree. (Trine, Sextile) will make the experiences more intense but conjunction, opposition, and square could make these effects explosive and intense. With both positive and negative aspects the native will be forced to transform and change their ways- with the negative aspects (conjunct, opposition, square) the native will feel the trials they go through in these transformations

-12th house placements can give you psychic dreams, I’ve also frequently dreamed being people other than myself. Mars will have action oriented dreams. Sun may have more dreams about experiences they’ve had echoing in their dreams. Moon will have deep emotional experiences. Venus may dream about love and friendships.

-Moon opposition sun synastry can create a lot of tension in a romantic relationship. There seems to be some underlying competitiveness going on. Especially if the moon and the sun are Cardinal signs.

-Moon conjunct Sun synastry can be intense. I think it shows how conjunct can be a negative aspect. The energies can understand each other sure, but they can also become an echo chamber of feeding into each other’s egos. I feel similarly about Sun conjunct Asc synastry. (My parents had this and oof, if that relationship isn’t karmic anyway it’s even more so now..)

-The only conjunct synastry I think I had intensely play out was Scorpio moon conjunct my Asc (I didn’t even realize it at the time) it was a lot! Fun and passionate but also he would get so overwhelmed he would be just shaking in normal conversation. Felt like with that and the 8th house synastry and my venus conjunct his pluto there was no was to turn the heat down and be normal with each other. Like we knew it would be short term but he was like talking about the future then I was overthinking the future and then it was over and idk that’s too much imo lol, lil dramatic just to be over in a snap. (Local Capricorn moon doesn’t get what all the fuss is about lol)

-Plus you can have all the positive synastry in the world, it really depends on timing and effort and individual choices and joint communication to work on your relationship, it’s an effort game

this is a busy new moon. you'll often hear people say not to try to manifest in an eclipse. i usually disagree with this attitude as long as you are willing for things to come about through routes you may not have expected. however in this case, it is so busy and volatile that a great deal of flexibility is going to be required. on the one hand, you are manifesting every moment of every day whether you intend to or not. on the other hand, plans laid around this time are very unlikely to come about. my best advice is to know what you want, not get too attached to it, and leave the details all to the universe. you can get a little more serious about it at some other new moon.

I have noticed that a lot of people with this placement have identity issues, they have difficulty in balancing their sun and moon. Learn to trust your intuition, do self hypnosis and meditate. I have also noticed that people with this placement have trouble choosing one pile from pac readings. These people lean more towards logic and science and this weakens their moon, so meditating and practicing hypnosis will make you more comfortable with the more "mysterious" themes of life. Find a balance. These people learn their lessons by projecting their emotions and issues onto other people, this is how they understand themselves. They can fight with people who they think don't deserve what they've gotten. Sun Trine Moon

These people are popular and social, and at the same time they also know how to keep their life private. People love being friends with them, but the downside is that these people don't like being friends with everyone, they have very few close friends, others are just acquaintances. They have this talent of letting others know about their achievements without seeming to be boastful about it. They have a very strong intuition and they use it to climb the social ladder. This, in my opinion is one of the best placements to have in the birth chart. People with this placement have the potential to go from rags to riches. I have noticed that they are emotional in such a way that instead of being seen as pushovers they are seen as angels, like.. Its really surprising sometimes. These people are so lucky, the type to help an old woman cross the road and then she turns out to be the owner of a huge company and has no heirs so she adopts them and boom... Fantastic life.

Sun Sextile Moon

Very similar to the Trine. They could also have a strong intuition just not as developed as the Trine. It's easy for them to make friends, the type to still be in contact with their kindergarten friends. The mediator in a group project, other people love to have them on their team. The only thing that can be considered bad about this placement is that these people doubt themselves a lot, they think they don't have the resources and the talent but they do, be practical but also be willing to take risks, you are the only one who's holding yourself back. It's okay to ask for help. With Trine, the people have an easier time taking initiative, with sextile it's a little hard, but you are still able to do it. It's literally the same as Trine, you just need to SEE It, that's it. Oh and also, these people can be really good child psychologists, this is just an observation.

Synastry Notes: Sun/Moon

Disclaimer: these are just my personal experience with sun moon aspects in synastry. This is also essentially a rant.

Another Disclaimer: the conditions present in the natal chart such as signs, aspects and house placements can radically alter how one person experiences synastry aspects from another. As well as how developed someone is. I have moon conjunct mars and squared to chiron and widely squared to pluto personally. And it's in the 12th house. Please keep that in mind, I really don't like things poking at my moon. Also I am very sorry that this was so long. I did not think that I really had this much to say.

The Conjunction: I have a love/hate relationship with this one. I thoroughly enjoy being the Sun person in Sun/Moon aspects in general. But with the conjunction as the Sun person I really tend to feel strong sense of protective care over the Moon person. I tend to take their emotions very seriously, it may not show up that way though since its in Aquarius but internally I feel a very strong pull to ensure their comfort and support their emotional needs. However, as the Moon person, i don't really tend to like it. All that attention on my Moon in the 12th? Ew. I feel really exposed and I often feel like the Sun person just seems to have no comprehension that they are trodding all over sacred ground. It isn't all bad though, I often feel like the Sun seems very accepting of who I am(no matter how weird or wacky) even if they do kinda feel like a bull in a china shop. I find that they usually do mean well, and they tend to be very good listeners, I feel very heard when talking to them about my feelings and thoughts.

The Opposition: Also a love/hate relationship I love being the Sun person but I genuinely loathe being the Moon person here. As the Sun person it feels very similar to the conjunction, I take the Moon persons feelings very seriously and go through great lengths to give them comfort and keep them entertained. Lots of gift giving?? Now that I think about it. Like LOTS OF GIFTS now that I'm really thinking about it. However there were times where I really felt like I was missing the mark and I didn't really get the Moon persons reactions to things. On the other hand as the Moon person, just no. I felt like the Sun person constantly rained on my parade, and they often required me to explain myself, like a lot(Virgo vs Pisces at its finest). I felt very judged and boxed in. Very uncomfortable for me, and for them from what I could see.

The Square: This one really depends. As the Sun person(in Aquarius) here I really tend to struggle with Scorpio and Taurus moons. They tend to find me fickle and I really, I mean really struggle to understand their emotional needs and even the ones I do sort of understand are so foreign to me that I am left baffled anyway(like I get it, but I don't get it. Like I get why doing XYZ is nice for you but I would never do that for 6 hours day, especially if I was ???sad???) and any attempts I make to have fun or do anything really are usually seen as threats to their person security. This aspect is REALLY loud for me. Especially because I have Saturn in Taurus. It's almost like I am uncomfortable with how uncomfortable I seem to make the Moon person just by being me. And if you live with them it's basically arguments galore. And getting a lot of the silent treatment. When I'm the Moon person it's sort of better, mostly because it's between mutable signs. Gemini and Sagittarius are light enough in their demeanor that I can ignore most of the friction but this also means that their Sun Squares my Mars and its very evident here, esp with the Sag suns. Like waaay more evident here than in the opposition for some reason. Like there is a general sense of interest in just meandering through the world together, like it's quite explorative in the physical world and in thought but most of the Sagittarius Suns that I've interacted with said they thought I was a bit of a bully(and I quote, "Do you even care about anything? Why do you always have to be so rude? And loud?") and too aggressive for their liking(I did ask why every time, I never really got a clear explanation so I cannot confirm the exact reason. My interaction with Sag Suns generally tend to be goofy and nice if it's kept short but long term its just goofy and confusing). And the Gemini Suns were great, had a lot of fun with them but ultimately it just fizzled out after many of the big clashes between us became evident. Overall as the Moon person the aspect wasn't too loud. But I prefer these two signs as moons signs.

The Trine/Sextile: actually pretty neat? Like both ways, especially with the trine. Takes me a while to notice the serenity of them but when I finally do take notice, I am hooked. Being the Sun is similar to being the Sun in the conjunction, just far less intense and more playful. And this is the only Sun/Moon aspect where I thoroughly enjoy being the Moon person. I love how light and almost airy it is, even when I'm dealing with a Scorpio Sun. Which seems crazy but it really works fine.

Oh for sure! in terms of aspects I feel conjunctions are the strongest indicator of meeting with certainty, or of coming together to accomplish the themes of the aspect, but to be more specific here's some more that i feel have higher chances of meeting with most certainty:

Sun conjunct Moon:

This one is the most obvious because when I see see this in a synastry chart, I immediately know that two people simply know each other, and not in a surface-level way. Be it sun or moon person -- you both tend to feel like each of you really know the soul needs of the other -- you know how they would feel about things, what they need, their fears, their desires -- an a lot of the time, this feeling of knowing these things just comes naturally. You might feel like you have known each other forever. Soulmate vibes.

Saturn conjunct personal planets:

Any time I see saturn making a conjunction to a personal planet in a synastry chart, I immediately know that these 2 people had to come together to learn (harsh) lessons of the aspect. Couples with this aspect come here to learn about how to conquer their own limitations through the limits (and harsh realities) put on each other from this relationship. Feels very karmic in nature, but it is not all bad. On the contrary, this could suggest you two come together to "mature" and achieve long term success. These aspects also suggests longevity in relationships or knowing the person.

Venus conjunct chiron:

Healing is possibly literally the "theme" of this relationship. There is lots of love in this connection, despite any hardships. Chiron person is meant to help aid venus person in their healing journey. Relationship, in general, could help both individuals heal. This is also a strong marriage indicator.

What you often see with people who have Uranus in 6th House is random bouts of ilness, altough they are usully caused by mental strain. These are the people that will get a random nosebleed or get a migraine out of seemingly nowhere. 

Jupiter square Venus people may have a hard time controlling their spending, they also often have a sweet tooth. Unless they have a prominent Saturn touching this square then they often go overboard when having a good time. 

Taurus placements need stability and security in order to feel safe and secure. They are the types that don’t mind spending more money as long as they are promised quality. Altough they can get a bit lazy they do put in effort in keeping their home clean and presentable. 

Sagittarius Mars needs to believe in whatever it is that they are pursuing. Without that intuitive belief that this was meant for them, a Sag Mars won’t ever settle down or go after anything.

Aquarius Moons tend to have a lot of friends, they seem to be very popular and most people want to be around them. Aqua Moons also need a lot of time alone to process their thoughts and feelings. 

Pluto Square Mars people my hide their intense rage and jelousy, especially if the Mars Sign is more feminine. You can often feel their intensity bubbling just below the surface. If they don’t learn to accept and channel it through different mediums then they will draw to themselves people that will act that rage out for them and hurt them.

Sun conjunct Moon people tend to wear their heart on their sleeve. 

4th House Synastry can unlock old childhood wounds, the planet person may be naturally nurturing towards the house person. It could potentially be a very healing relationship, especially if the planets are benefic and the planet person has a healthy relationship with those energies within oneself. 

Pluto transiting the 12th House is going to drag out all the unconsciouss wounds and traumas, during this time you may experience a lot of vivid dreams and nightmares and getting into dream analysis is very common during this time. This is the time of out with the old and in with the new.

Sun conjunct Moon in Cancer composite.

-After a time of being together, a strong combination of the masculine and femenine energy will form. You both feel, or will feel, deeply connected with each other; a feeling that increases due to both planets falling in the nurturing and emotional sign of Cancer, that's why many astrologers believe that this aspect is a soulmate combination. The feelings of being at home with each other will encrease along with some jealousy and possesive attitudes if it's not well developed.

Sun conjunct Moon in 12th house composite

-The identity and the emotions of the relationship are hidden from the world. Maybe even from both of you.
