the lack of misogyny in heartstopper is so fucking refreshing. all of the girls in the show just LOVE each other. no jealousy. no cattiness. no competitiveness. elle, tara, darcy, imogen, and sahar are all just vibing together. in a world where literally every single tv show has women being pitted against each other, it makes me so happy to see full love, solidarity, and support amongst these leading ladies.

the moment where spike brings joyce flowers fucks me up so much. because. he liked her. she treated him like a person. something maybe no one else had ever done for - decades. longer. he had a bad break-up and she gave him cocoa. made awkward small talk. she didnt act like he was a freak. so he went to her grave. helped her grieving child try to resurrect her. he looked after her daughters. he didn't like seeing summers women take it so hard on the chin. he just - he liked joyce.

Honestly the story of mlp must be very weird from the pov of a random guy in ponyville, like one day a new antisocial librarian moves into town, and like a year later that librarian ascends into godhood and becomes the new ruler of the entire world

I have come more and more to appreciate the beautiful friendship that was blossoming between Tara and Buffy in Season 6. Absolutely one of the best and most comfortable dynamics on the whole show. I only wish we got to see more of it before… 🥲

You know. I have Thoughts now about Olric.

I originally wanted him added as a romance option (as do many others) and I think I changed my mind! I love him and he's amazing and supportive and he likes rocks but what I think so far that I really super love for him? Is how friendly he is and so far (I'm not far) he has zero romance related lines. Like he's not a romance option, but looking at the other NPCs (the innkeeper/wife, the general store owner/wife, the retired socialite who talks about past flings) I think Olric stands out as possibly the only one I can hope for aroace representation.

Let this guy just exist with the most positive vibes ever because he's just a good guy with positive vibes for everyone.
