not to be too disk horsey but just thoughts that i’m having in regards to some of the conversation around buck and tommy at billy’s grave and whether it’s a foil to the scene of buck and eddie in the cemetery in s6. i don’t think that’s a conclusion the audience is supposed to be led to at all. they’re different styles of scene with different goals, and the actors are positioned like they are for the camera, not for some metanarrative . in 6x15 buck and eddie are having a dialogue, so naturally they’re close so they can be in the frame together. meanwhile, buck is giving a monologue in 8x05, essentially a diegetic voiceover (which is the real callback the scene is making if you ask me), so the staging is done in such a way that the camera focuses primarily on him because by and large he’s the only one talking. the real takeaway from the scene regarding their relationship is what’s right there evident on the surface—buck casually and confidently calls tommy his boyfriend and that tommy is perfectly happy to get suited up to support his boyfriend eulogizing a restless spirit he doesn’t believe in because he knows it’s important to buck
#which for what it’s worth i think eddie would’ve done too but in this case eddie’s not who buck asked#and good for buck that there’s multiple people in his life who are willing to eulogize a ghost with him! it’s what he deserves#bucktommy#buddie#evan buckley#tommy kinard#eddie diaz#911 abc#911 meta#911 discourse

Based on the last speculations (bi-Buck and probably him having something with a man), how optimistic are you for Buddie going canon? Do you think we’ll get some Eddie reaction/jealousy? I want to be optimistic but I’m scared they’ll do the same shit from last season…
Look, I said it before, Bi-Buck will probably be only with Eddie,
Buck is not who he was, Buck 1.0 AND 2.0 would have experimented his way through the greater male population of LA .
But this one? He will want the man who makes him feel like everything, who sees him, we know that's what his looking for, he said it in 6x15.
No one has ever seen him better than Eddie - Buck, imo, assuming he actually was just straight up until now, is probably more Eddie-sexual than anything else.
Now if you have asked me about Eddie, I could definitely see him, going through several failed male encounters, where the sex is great but it's not quite it, with Buck jealous as hell in the background not really understanding why - until he does.
You see, if the whole saying yes year (which was the dumbest idea ever and got executed so badly we hardly knew it existed) was this year where he says yes, and not to reproducing for others, I'd say maybe, but now, I don't think so.
My money is more on Eddie figuring it out first and him dating other men will kick Buck into motion.
Especially with Ryan taking a bigger role this season, this is right in his wheelhouse, and out of the two of them Ryan actually portrayed a gay character before.
I gotta say though, that while ABC have already done the Bi (both male and female) character arcs - it is still dependent on 911 creators to make that decision and I stopped trusting the showrunners a long time ago.
There's a part of me that is sure that the only reason buddie was not made canon yet is because KR was stuck along with FOX in the heteronormative narrative they kept shoving down our throats.
I want to believe that the move to ABC will allow buddie to become canon, but I am not getting my hopes up, and by the things I'm seeing so far, I don't feel very optimistic about it.
I do believe we'll get gay Eddie though, because that suit was screaming out and proud, the last groom I saw in this kind of suit, was divorced and out of the closet 6 months later, just saying. (by the way me and my gay best friend won that wager, but the original wedding was fun lol).
So, you know, glass half full and all that.
We'll keep our fingers crossed and hope for a fun ride.
#911 spoilers#911 speculation#buddie#evan buckley#eddie diaz#ryan guzman#911 abc#i always believed buck is bi#i can see both bi and gay eddie#and i want buddie to be canon because those two are meant to be#but showrunners are a disappointing bunch so I'm being carefully optimistic#you know trust but verify#911 ask#deluweil replies

I love that your 6x15 meta addressed not just the parallels of Shannon and Buck as Christopher's parents but also how her memory affects Eddie. Hearing Eddie repeat "We all die alone" paired with the living funeral concept made me really appreciate that no matter how traumatic for Eddie, it was the 118 that responded when Shannon died. Despite asking for a divorce I believe Shannon still deeply cared for, even loved Eddie and being able to talk to him about their son as she knew she was dying was a comfort.
But really I'm curious as to your thoughts on this being a (comparatively) Shannon heavy season. Shannon's been referenced twice since Eddie Begins, s4 when Eddie refers to needing to change his will and in s5, not even by name when Eddie mentions her funeral was the last time Christopher wore a suit. Eddie's voluntarily brought up Shannon multiple times this season when it wasn't necessary or expected of him. Is this meant just to be another sign of healing that Eddie's working on or do you think that being able to remember her is a sign that he's ready to move on and maybe reinforces his admittance in 6x14 that he doesn't want to be alone -that showing that he thinks of his wife and the mother of his child is indication of him wanting a partner and co parent.
...and perhaps the complicated and less than ideal relationship he had with Shannon prevents him from fully recognizing what he already has with Buck.
Hi lovely! Thank you so much for the kind words!
Putting together the bits about Eddie (and Shannon) in my 614, 615 and 616 meta, I think the show is trying to address why, even though Eddie has seemingly been trying to date again since season 4a, he still hasn't been able to really move on, and that when you want to be in a relationship (because Eddie is so clearly full of love that he wants to give, whether to his son, to his best friend, or to an acknowledged romantic partner) and for some reason you're not actually allowing yourself to enter into one, that DOES take a toll. As much as we KNOW Eddie isn't alone, that Buck is there for him and Chris, that's still not the same as being in an explicitly romantic relationship, where you get to cuddle together, and kiss (not to mention getting to have sexy times). Even while Buck and Eddie are life partners in so many ways that VERY MUCH COUNT and are NOT the norm for best friends, there are still things, ways of expressing and receiving love, that they have not yet shared. And in that sense, there is something that Eddie is missing.
So he needs to go through this arc of recognizing the impact of Shannon's loss on him and how to move on, not from her, but from that. And as I said in my latest meta, I do believe that how Eddie spoke about her in 616 is an indication that he's getting there. So yes, if they want to have him and Buck overcoming their last obstacles to realizing what they have and what they feel for each other and what they COULD have together? This is def ideal for that.
Thank you so much, I hope you have a wonderful day! As always, here's my ask tag. xoxox

Super Aunt Kara
A little interlude between episodes 6x15 and 6x16.
“Hi, Esme,” Kara says as she stands in the doorway to Esme’s room.
Despite the debacle during her superpower training, Esme beams upon seeing her. She carefully places her crayon down on the coloring book.
“Hi, Su--” Esme trails off, mouth sliding down into a frown. “Hi, Aunt Kara?”
Despite her current very human appearance, Kara obviously feels Kryptonian to Esme. The last time they’d met neither Danvers sister had expected Alex to have to give Esme the “private matter” talk. They still haven’t talked it over very much. Kara can only imagine how confusing this is for Esme.
Kara smiles. “‘Aunt Kara’ is good when I’m not in my super suit. Now that you know I’m Supergirl, I thought we could have a little chat. Is it okay if I come in?”
Esme fidgets uncomfortably. There’s little doubt that for Esme “having a chat” or any other similar phrase has become synonymous with bad news. Kara wants to help change that.
“I thought I’d tell you a little bit about Alex and me, so you can learn about the family you’re joining,” Kara says lightly, hoping to put Esme at ease. “Alex told me about the Truth Seeker, but I know that sometimes hearing the truth is easy. Believing it is a lot harder.”
“They said they’d never send me away,” Esme says with an undercurrent of hope.
“That’s right. May I?” Kara gestures to the bed. When Esme nods, she sits beside her. “Remember when I said I was adopted too?”
“By Alex’s mom and dad.”
“Yup.” Kara spots the polar bear stuffed animal that she had left on the chest of drawers. It had been her favorite, but she would never tell the other stuffed animals that. She retrieves it, lifts a paw, waves it at Esme, and is rewarded with a giggle. "But even though the stuffed animals and blankets helped, it still took us a while to learn how to live with each other. Sometimes it feels like we’re still learning.”
Kara tells Esme a few stories about her super power mishaps when she was a child, sticking to light ones or deliberating omitting heavy details. Esme is still so young. There are some things she shouldn’t be thinking about. Despite that, she clearly finds Kara’s stories relatable -- except for getting to stay in the same household for repeated incidents; she seems in awe of that -- reacting with gasps and comments.
Wrapping up a summary of the infamous incensed incendiary incident of 2005, Kara says, “And then Alex aimed the fire extinguisher at me even though I’d started the fire with my heat vision, which meant it was away from me.” She gestures towards the other side of the room to illustrate her point. “It did nothing to cool my temper off. Honestly, I think Alex just did it for fun.”
Esme laughs, the sound loud, bright, and incredibly sweet.
“Hey, guys. Everything all right?” Alex asks, appearing in the doorway. She has a vague idea of what the two are talking about -- Kara had run the idea by her -- but the burst of noise must have drawn her to the room.
“Yeah, everything’s great.” Kara winks at Esme, kicking off another round of giggles.
“Esme?” Alex checks only to receive more giggles. Given how well the sisters know each other, Kara can see the comprehension dawning in Alex’s eyes. “Okay, well, remind me to tell you some more stories about your Aunt Kara later. There are so many good ones.”
But despite her “threat,” Alex departs with a grateful smile.
“Don’t worry, Alex won’t spray you with a fire extinguisher,” Kara jokes. “She knows better now, and honestly after a few years, Alex would just roll her eyes if I lost control of my heat vision. If you lose control of your powers, it’ll be okay. Alex will be there. And if it’s because you’re around me, I’ll obviously be there for you too. There’s nothing you could do that would be worse than everything I did, and Eliza never sent me away. Alex wouldn’t either. She is so much like our mom.”
Esme reaches behind her to retrieve her Lovey. She clutches the zebra close to her chest. “I don’t want to hurt them too.”
Kara isn’t sure if "too” means Esme doesn’t want to accidentally hurt Alex like Kara did or if she’s referring to other people she hurt in the past. Either way, it breaks Kara’s heart that Esme is already so familiar with that pain and guilt. Kara rubs the polar bear’s ears between her fingers. With her other arm, she offers Esme a hug and is pleased Esme immediately leans her body into Kara’s.
“I know,” Kara says. “I never wanted to either, but as long as it’s an accident, as long as you keep learning how to control your powers, then it’s something that stays in the past. I'm proof of that.”
“Promise?” comes Esme’s tiny voice from Kara’s side.
“Pinky promise,” Kara says. “You’re going to be so loved in this family. And I’m sure when you visit Kelly’s family in Calvintown, her family is going to tell you so many amazing stories about her. I know her brother James is looking forward to meeting you.”
Esme relinquishes her hold on Lovey to wrap her arms around Kara. “Thank you, Aunt Kara.”
Kara gives her a little squeeze. “Anytime. Welcome to the family, Esme.”

Favourite flash episodes from any season?
Ooooh okay, this is a good question. I have a bunch I love, but these are the ones I could think of off the top of my head. (Also most of them are Wells-centric because I’m trash like that)
1x09: The Man in the Yellow Suit- I mean, the whole episode is great, but the reveal at the end? I lost my shit and I love it because of that
2x03: Family of Rogues- I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t the biggest Leonard Snart fan in season 1, but then I watched this episode and he started to grow on me.
2x07: Gorilla Warefare- Basically I’m just a whore who wants to see more of Harry in the yellow suit
2x11: The Reverse-Flash Returns- OG Eobard. Cisco Whump. “No one of consequence”. This episode had it all.
2x13: Welcome to Earth-2- I just love seeing more of Earth-2. Also, Harry being badass with his gun.
2x14: Escape From Earth-2- Same reasons as above.
3x11: Dead or Alive: Badass Cisco. Damsel in Distress H.R. Cynthia.
3x13: Attack on Gorilla City- Excellent amount of both Harry and H.R content. And I just really liked seeing Gorilla City
4x05: Girls Night Out- Drunk Barry and #Feminism.
5x10: The Flash & the Furious- They really put Tom Cavanagh to work by making him give us all the different Wells’, didn’t they?
5x22: Legacy- Nora’s ending was heartbreaking, but the reason this episode always sticks out is Eobard’s prison break scene. I love it.
6x15: The Exorcism of Nash Wells- It hurt to watch, but I liked seeing more of Nash’s past, and him finally being more vulnerable
(I’ve probably missed some, but those cover my main favorites)

If you had to pick just one favorite season of each of these shows: Gilmore Girls (I think mine is season 2...?), Dawson's Creek (mine is definitely season 3!), TVD, The Mentalist and Suits!
What a wonderful yet torturous question, anon! 🤪
Gilmore Girls:
Hmm...I’d probably have to go with s3. I have so many favorite moments/episodes from that season. I’m pretty obsessed with seasons 1-4 on the whole, though. I rewatch them over and over.
Dawson’s Creek:
s3 is the clear winner. It’s all about Pacey and Joey’s slow friends-to-lovers burn for me. Just—whew! What a journey!
*6x15’s Castaways will always be my favorite episode of the whole show, though! (It’s embarrassing how many times I’ve watched this episode.)
TVD:
Also s3. I didn’t realize I was starting a trend but...*shrugs* It’s the introduction of the Originals and all the vampire/werewolf/hybrid mythology that seals the deal. It. Was. So. Stinking. Good. This was when the show and its characters were at its peak.
CAN WE GO BACK, PLEASE? 😭
The Mentalist:
Okay, now this one was much harder for me to decide. My favorite season for Jane and Lisbon, as a ship + as an agent/consultant duo, is s7. THEY’RE SO DOMESTIC ANS PRECIOUS I COULD SCREEEEAM.
Plot-wise, though, when you factor in Red John, I’m torn between s3 and s5. Both of them tie me into goddamn knots of anticipation and anxiety! I’m suspicious of all of the characters. Literally everyone I already know or meet. The suspense is amazing.
Suits:
Either s2 or s5. They house some of my favorite plot arcs and cases. However, I must give a heartfelt shoutout to s9 because it’s a gift to Darvey shippers.

I saw on another blog that Cecile could be seen as damage control for the show's treatment of black/woc. I'd like your opinion on that. People have started to use her and DN as their 'see, we're not racist because we like her.' She's the token who is barely onscreen and mostly caters to her white counterparts more than her own family. In the writing too. I rooted for DN since the beginning of her career, but it seems like she can't even root for Candice and that bothers me.
By damage control, do you mean that Cecile is more palatable to white sensibilities, because she’s written in a way to cater to white characters and thus compensates for the show having a black leading lady, whose black family is featured (or has been featured, in the case of Wally and Nora) quite prominently? Because yes, I think that’s true. Overall, Cecile is treated pretty poorly in the narrative, because her character is directionless. Potentially interesting plots for her, such as being a defense attorney for meta-humans, are dropped in favor of using her powers as a plot gimmick. Moreover, they employ a lot of humor with her character that sort of falls flat, and it’s very unclear as to what role Cecile occupies on the show. She fills in any which role that needs to be filled, and that’s why she seems very purposeless as a character. For some reason, they wanted to make her surrogate mom of Team Flash this season, which was weirdly jarring. If her screentime was meaningful then that would be fine, but most of the time, it’s not. I actually originally liked the scenes Iris and Cecile shared in 6x01, because I thought that Iris really does need a motherly figure in her life, especially because she still has so many unresolved feelings due to her lack of a relationship with Francine, and I presumed that the show was finally moving in that direction after seasons. I was clearly wrong about that.
I imagine that the only people who claim to love Cecile are certain crack shippers who incessantly hate on Iris, because I know the vast majority of fanboys don’t like her (for completely invalid, misogynistic and racist reasons). Cecile occupies a space which isn’t threatening to white sensibilities, the same way Joe does (and despite that, they still get some hate, because there’s so much anti-Blackness in fandom. Case in point: hate towards Joe is often times lumped together with vitriol directed towards Iris (see: racists claiming Iris and Joe are the worst characters on the show)). Still, it’s easy for folks to claim Cecile and then turn around and say that they’re not racist. Dani Nicolet’s antics certainly bolster that side of fandom’s “support” of Cecile, but I highly doubt any of those people actually care for Cecile. You’d be hard pressed to find a post of theirs talking about Cecile’s impact on the narrative or their favorite scenes of hers.
And, as you said, they’ve also written Cecile in a way that suits white sensibilities. She’s been way more of a supportive figure to various members of Team Flash this season than she has to her own daughters, Jenna and Joanie, ever. She is written as a shill for the show’s favorite white woman, Frost, and it’s especially awful that she is the one who claims Frost recovering from a cold is as important as Iris, who is basically her step-daughter, being trapped in the Mirrorverse, where Iris is in immense mental pain and is fighting to maintain her sanity. Furthermore, Cecile doesn’t say or do anything to show even an ounce of concern for Iris, after learning that Iris is trapped in some other dimension. She had a lot to say to Barry in 6x17, but suddenly she doesn’t stop by and ask him what plans he might be considering to save Iris? In 6x19, Cecile, seeing as she is the surrogate mom for Team Flash and came through for Nash in 6x15 and gave Cisco a pep talk in 6x18, should have approached Barry about what’s going on and how they might be able to save Iris. First of all, we’d have seen a perspective other than Nash’s, but more than that, this is what actually would have made some more sense, narratively. And yet, Cecile can come through for everyone else, but she can’t come through for Iris or show any concern for her well-being. It’s truly ugly writing, but Cecile is written to be palatable to a specific viewing audience, and so it’s unsurprising that they would have her say what she did in 6x19. Completely inexcusable writing, but unsurprising.

I don’t like the “The Donna” storyline, but in this episode it brought up something that I loved to see addressed: Donna was lead to believe that she was worth more than she is, starting with Harvey putting more money into her paycheck without telling her that it wasn’t the firm that was paying her. In this episode, she had to face reality: being confident and good at reading people doesn’t automatically mean that they’ll take you seriously, especially when you are trying to do business.
Business is full of sharks, and Donna? Donna is merely a fish that believes herself to be invincible. I liked that she got this wake-up call, it was time to show her that no, not everyone will fall at your feet if you act like you own the world.
I’d love to see Donna’s confidence more explored, honestly, this is the kind of storyline I want for her. Less magic-machine, more Donna’s character exploration.
And all this also brings me back to the whole thing about Harvey and Donna not being a match according to me because of the power imbalance: Donna is a legal secretary, she is not on the same level as Harvey, who has been shown seeking accomplished, challenging women.
We were just slapped in the face with the fact that Donna is a little fish, and honestly if they want to make Darvey end-game it wasn’t a good move, it just reminded me of one of the reasons why I don’t like them.

Solar Flare // The Flash 6x15 - The Exorcism of Nash Wells Ficlet
Title inspiration: It’s a play on words, get it? lol
Summary- Sunshine and Cadence duke it out over the Refractor.
A/N: As I do with all canon parts of the show, I took some liberties with Sunshine’s ‘limits’.
-
Sunshine took down the ARGUS soldiers and Captain Singh with ease. Just as they thought she would. Nevertheless, it still worried Joe to see how well she knew to use her powers to get the Refractor. .So much so that when she had him bent over her arm, screaming in pain, he was mildly impressed. But didn’t have too much time to think about it.
The had to stop Sunshine and they needed to do it fast.
Joe’s eyes flickered toward the emergency exit door just as it opened, and Barry leaned out. He clapped his hands together then extended them, waiting for the catch. “Joe!”
Barry caught the Refractor and ran through the garage of the CCPD, all the way to his lab. He ran through the twisting-turning, hallways of the CCPD, hearing Sunshine hot on his heels. Close enough that he could feel the heat radiating off her body.
He skidded into his lab, just as the doors were closing, and threw the lock up.
Sunshine raced to the door, practically slamming into it when it closed in front of her. She slammed her fists against it, tugged on the door handle, letting out a loud grunt as she did so. She reached up her hands, pressing her forehead against the cool metal.
Then, feeling a sliver of warmth on her face, she looked up and grinned a slasher smile, seeing sunlight straining to come through the closed doors. That was all she needed. Lifting a finger, Sunshine moved it so it bathed into the sunlight. Her finger illuminated into a bright white, heat radiating through it. She lowered her finger, pressing her fingertip down to the lock that kept her out, slicing through it like butter.
The latch swung free and she pulled the door open with ease, and another grunt. Dusting off her hands, she walked inside. Her eyes scanned the rows of shelves that held beakers, bottles, and test tubes filled with different chemical compounds. But she didn’t see Barry or the Refractor. Not that it mattered, she’d find it one way or another.
“Come out, come out, wherever you are,” Sunshine cooed. She chuckled when there was no response. ” Oh, you really want to turn this into a game don’t you?” Her hands started to glow white once more. “That’s alright, games can be really, fun!” She charged up her hands, ready to send a blast of light out into the air around her. “Just don’t blame me when you get sunburned—Ah!”
A powerful kick to the side of the face sent Sunshine sprawling to the ground. She rolled onto her side and glared up at Cadence as she stood in the middle of the lab floor, dressed in her Flare suit. She tipped her head to her side, arms folded over her chest. “Funny, I was about to say the same thing to you.”
Sunshine growled, getting to her feet. She started toward Cadence, holding out her hands. Her lips curled at the corner in a smirk. She brought her hands back—and paused, seeing the shutters on the wall to ceiling windows shut one by one. Cadence continued to watch her.
Sunshine’s eyes narrowed a fraction of a second. Then she noticed the light she continued to be bathed in, coming from the light above her. Noticing it, Sunshine laughed, tsking mockingly toward the Firestarter. “Oh…” Sunshine sighed, cracking her knuckles. She shifted her weight form foot to foot. Once more, she lifted her hands, about to use her power. Then the ceiling light disappeared with a ‘thud’ the skylight slamming shut. “No!” She brought her hands down, staring at them, willed them to flare up once more.
They managed to glow for a few seconds but didn’t stay long. She could feel her power weakening, not too much, but just enough for her to notice a difference.
“Don’t worry.” Sunshine’s head whipped up. Then her eyes widened in horror, seeing the light that emanated from Cadence’s body, her eyes giving off a hellish glow that would’ve traumatized even the eldest of men. “We’re still going to have a fair fight.” She tossed the Refractor in her hand.
Up and down.
Up and down.
Cadence stopped tossing the Refractor, noticing Sunshine’s head bobbing at the same pace of the mirror item. “Oh? Are you trying to get this?” She moved it behind her back. “Try and take it from me. I’ll give you an advantage, try it with one hand!”
Sunshine brought back her hand and threw it forward, throwing a beam of burning light toward her. Cadence simply bent to the side, allowing the light to strike an empty wall of the lab. “Whoo! That was a close one!”
“Ugh! Will you shut up?!” Sunshine declared.
Cadence tossed the Refractor once more. “Have it your way.” She then sucked in a deep breath and blew out, sending a line of fire mixed with ash out toward Sunshine. Sunshine rolled out of the way, throwing an arm up to shield her face. With the light of the fire, she absorbed the light and threw it back toward Cadence. Seeing it coming, Cadence jet propelled herself forward, her speed cutting through the beam of light that engulfed her, to punch Sunshine directly in the face.
Sunshine stumbled back, bringing her hands up to her nose as it gushed blood. Then, lifting her hand, she turned and elbowed Cadence in the face just as she landed next to the military veteran. That time, Cadence’s head snapped back, and Sunshine used the momentum to knock Cadence’s legs out from beneath her.
“I don’t need my powers to take you down,” Sunshine declared.
Cadence flipped her hair back from her face. “Then put your money where your mouth is.” She pushed herself off the ground, doing a knee float to get back to her feet. Sunshine immediately was on her, swinging her fists left and right, trying to get her hands clamped behind the firestarter’s neck, hoping to grapple her to the ground.
Cadence easily evaded the blows and did an illusion; she spun on the ball of her left foot and extended her right leg as high as she could as she bent towards the ground. The heel of her right foot snapped into Sunshine's cheek, sending her spinning to the ground. Sunshine was immediately back on her foot, back into a flurry of punches to Cadence’s face.
Cadence jerked her head back every time a fist came toward her face. The she took multiple steps backward, using her momentum to launch herself back through a shelf of chemicals. She knocked the beakers to the ground, grabbed the railing of the shelf and used it to spin herself around, slamming her feet into Sunshine’s chest.
Sunshine brought her hand up to her chest, all breath escaping her in a loud Pew! If the fight didn’t end soon, she wasn’t going to last. She may not have been able to use her light powers, but her meta abilities were at least making it easier for her to take every blow that came her way.
She was going to have to fight harder if she was going to get that Refractor.
Sunshine swung her arm back and threw it forward. Cadence, who was converging on Sunshine once more, stopped and backed away with a shriek, covering her eyes from the bright flash bang that nearly blinded her. Sunshine used the time to bend the light around her to appear invisible. She teleported onto Cadence’s back, wrapping her hands around Cadence’s throat and threw her weight backwards to increase the pressure on the hero’s throat.
“Ack!” Cadence gasped, struggling to pry the hands off from around her neck. She’d been able to catch a plane against her chest, list multiple pieces of furniture, and even a gorilla without breaking a sweat. But it was almost always a stalemate if one metahuman who had super strength was going against another.
“I hope it doesn’t hurt too much,” Sunshine grunted, pulling harder, digging her feet into Cadence’s back. “When I snap your neck.”
“Then…” Cadence gasped. “It’s a good thing I can heal!” She brought up her hand, creating a fireball directly next to Sunshine’s hands. All at once, Sunshine’s hands illuminated into a bright light, the heat from her power making her palms melt directly into Cadence’s neck. Smoke erupted from the skin pressed against each other.
The pressure of the light from her hands, knocked Sunshine off Cadence’s neck. Cadence whipped around, the skin on her neck immediately healing, and teleported above Sunshine. She slammed Sunshine to the ground with a strong strike of her elbow into Sunshine’s chest. Sunshine didn’t get the chance to recover as Cadence grabbed her, arced her back through the air and over her knee, pressing it directly into her back.
“Ugh!” Sunshine struggled to break free, but every time she moved, the pressure on her throat and back increased. “Argh!”
Cadence calmly held onto Sunshine as she tried to break free. She blew her hair back from her face, gazing down into the snarling face of the veteran. “You have a choice,” Cadence remarked, steadily applying pressure to Sunshine’s body. “Give up, or I break your back.” She waited, continuing to steadily increase pressure, making Sunshine squirm and make a whining sound. Finally, Sunshine stopped struggling and became limp. “Good choice.”
