After being introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the Idris Elba-voiced Knuckles got a spin-off TV series and also returned for Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Dating back to before the release of the first Sonic the Hedgehog, there seemed to be concern with the titular character’s big-screen debut, largely centered around his on-screen design. Fans weren’t won over by the movie’s first trailer, resulting in a character redesign that would become the official look of the figure.

Despite those initial obstacles, the debut Sonic the Hedgehog was a major success, with each subsequent adventure expanding the mythos of the video game character in exciting ways. One of those expansions was Knuckles, which set major records for Paramount+ when it premiered earlier this year. A Season 2 hasn’t officially been confirmed, but Elba expressed his interest in a sophomore season.

When asked if another season of Knuckles or a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 would be Elba’s next foray into the franchise, the actor joked, “Oh, wow, is there a Sonic 4? You know more than me, my guy.” He continued, “I would say I’d love to do it. Any chance to understand the characters a little bit more, in the different episodes … If [the filmmakers are] in, I’m down.”

Starting from season 3-4, original screenplays began to be filmed based on the books, and gradually, by season 6, some stories from magazines began to be filmed, and from that moment on, plot holes are already beginning to be traced. For example, Stanley somehow became a Smager (yes, in the series he is presented only as a horror story legend, but in the books he really existed and eventually became a pump, not a generator, and plus he most likely drowned in mines), and moreover, not only plot holes are driven into a dead end, but also blunders (the absence or sudden appearance of faces in some characters (and in general, there was confusion with the faces of the author himself, who first said that there were no faces outside of Sodor, and then released the book "Gordon abroad")) So now books can be considered PARTIALLY canon? This is not to mention that some episodes were not recognized by Wilbert Audrey himself, because the film crew might not take into account some railway rules. That's what happened with the Les Henrys series. This episode plays a crucial role in revealing Henry's character, but because the reverend disliked her, what's the point of throwing the episode out of the canon now? Of course not.

Then what should I do? The books and the Series contradict each other in some places, and complement each other in some places.…And someone will rightly remember the book that explained the whole story of Sodor and its inhabitants, the steam locomotives. Yes, there is such a book, and it would seem that this is the true canon, but no…For the feature "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" comes into play, which seems to have given the answer to why the locomotives are alive, but they did it so crookedly that then they simply forgot about the Lady. Well, there are CGI cartoons in which Thomas arrives on Sodor later than Gordon and James, although according to the canons Thomas arrived on the island during World War 1, whereas Gordon was built in the 20s. Well, the "Hero of the Rails", which finally confuses the order of arrival of steam locomotives on the island. Of course, this can be explained by the fact that in this world locomotive construction has taken a different track and the D51 locomotive could have been born earlier, but no, because in the following episodes they say again that Edward was the first.

Epilogue: Thomas has some clear canons, no matter how hard the fans tried to put all the stories together and build at least some logical ENT, the creator himself did not plan to think through Thomas' world to the smallest detail, because the stories about steam locomotives were not originally invented for printing, they were just like an outlet for the reverend, and It was only by chance that Thomas became so popular. Partly because some of the unspoken questions in this story give space for speculation: where did their faces come from, why are people so merciless towards living beings, why are some trailers alive and some not, why is Thomas, who is older than Gordon, behaving like a child? And this, in my opinion, is Thomas' success, he is a kind of constructor that everyone can adjust to their headcannons and get something original. And that's what makes Thomas a favorite to this day

I) "I've never seen Blackbeard like this."

This is the same shot from the trailer, possibly either before or after the infamous "Fuck you, Stede Bonnet." However, there may be a Clue in the second shot which may be able to somehow place this on a timeline (not by myself—this has drained my powers). I can't really tell, because of the low quality and high contrasting shadows, whether or not the side of the Stede topper has been smudged with Ed's make-up yet.

It was clear in the teaser when Ed played with the toppers that he'd caressed fake-Stede against his cheek as if he were some rather exquisite cashmere because of the smudges, but we couldn't tell during the teaser if this has already happened by this point because of the angle of the toy. But if anyone manages to get a better picture or spots something I missed that may contradict or strengthen this little thought, do let me know.

I'm pretty sure though that the person who says "I've never seen Blackbeard like this," is someone who has seen Blackbeard enough to know how he was. Someone that perhaps served by his side? So I think that the speaker in this context may be Izzy. There are two options of who he's saying this too: either Stede, once they team up, or to the crew of the Queen Anne's Revenge, this being the old Revenge crew (Frenchie, Jim, and we count Fang). Maybe even Lucius in the walls.

I just want to take a moment just to appreciate the fact how much this gif resonated with me personally. This was the entire basis of all stages of grief I went through after the season finale, the bottomline of all my thoughts: "why couldn't he have just told him how he felt?". Anyways, let's get on with it. Or maybe he's thinking of why he didn't tell anyone, especially not Ed, about the happiness he felt around him, how great he felt in his company, and how much love he felt for the man.

I can imagine this pretty early on in the season (as we know they reconcile or at least get a long decently early, from the leaked promo), and for some reason I have a picture of Stede laying slumped down on some form of furniture, ragdoll-style, whining about this to someone he knows: either Oluwande (probably the most probably option) or, hear me out, Spanish Jackie. I think she's going to become better friends with the Genital Pirate this season, and be a prevelant character to the narrative.

III) "Feel's like a storm's coming."

This happens during the rapid, quick scenes which we were just able to catch from the teaser. Where Jim is half submerged in water trying their best to reach for someone which I may think might be Ed, and Frenchie working the capstan for whatever purposes needed to hoist something heavy in a storm (don't look at me, I don't sail 18th-century ships). But look, Edward has his cravat on, the cravat given to him by Stede. Why he's kept this eludes me, since this should in theory be before their reconciliation, but we all know that Ed still loves Stede, and perhaps this is his way to hang onto him close to his heart while still matching his new aesthetic.

I would like to think that Ed is the one saying this. After all, he is an expert navigator and weatherman, proving his skills during his first appearances in the previous season. (However, I don't particularly trust his date-keeping skills. He messed up the first one, and then let his other date be held at gunpoint and scared into leaving. Tut tut tut) Another reason as to why I think this is because there is no pronoun indicating that he actively feels the storm, but more passed as a backhanded quip just thrown onto the crew and/or Izzy to alert them.

This could also be interpreted as a metaphor: symbolism for something, foreshadowing to the main plot or villain of the series, which will most likely result in some form of cliffhanger at the end, I tell you that.

I wonder if they're going to have another cloud scene though, talking about how they might show signs of storm. However, instead of shape I'd assume that they'd be commenting on a rather large-scale, dark rain-cloud, and connecting it to perhaps winds stronger than usual.

I also saw someone saying that it was possible that Edward, when he falls off the ship, looses the cravat amongst the waves, and that is why he doesn't have it to what I'd assume is after this scene.

IV) I love a good pirate's tale We can see from this scene that Stede is currently fighting on the beach in the same outfit which he had during the teaser, and if one looks closely you can see that he's excellently accessorised with a beautiful looped earring. However, what we've also learn is that the shot where Ed washes up on the beach is probably in the same scene as this, and by the look on Stede's face (probably augmented by the surrounding chaos) this may be the first time that he's seen Ed in a long time.

I think, as I've said before in previous posts, that Ed has been thrown off the ship in the storm mentioned above. He's been thrown off, and has happened to wash up on this same beach where Stede is fighting, which we know to be possible because of the automatic gaydar in OFMD. (What would be funny though is that he spotted Stede off the shore and decided to make his entrance super dramatic and kraken-like, but ends up just swallowing a shit ton of sea-water and gets his leather ruined, which is why he gets new clothes.)

It was a true anarcho-communist-guerilla production: literally no budget, nobody got paid, everyone chipped in for food and drugs, and we all cooperatively own the film now. 'Ripley is a new series coming to Netflix, starring Andrew Scott as the tactful conman. The series has been in development for a few years now, with the release date finally on the horizon. KIRKLAND, QC (November 4, 2023) – Two generations of Mehlenbachers were honoured tonight at the 7th annual Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame Inductees Gala, which took place in front of a full house at Lamborghini Montreal, in Kirkland Quebec. A total of 16 nominees were inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, with the Gala celebrating their accomplishments and contributions to the sport of drag racing. The Mehlenbachers joined an elite group of Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame inductees past and present, which includes racers, mechanics, crew chiefs, engine and chassis builders, track promoters, announcers, track officials, photographers, journalists, and sponsors. "I am thrilled, but I am also extremely honoured for my father and the Mehlenbacher family to receive this recognition. It is a very special tribute to me and my family” said Bruce F. Mehlenbacher. "I would like to convey my heartfelt appreciation and thanks to John Scotti and Bob Aubertin, on behalf of myself and the Mehlenbacher family, for honoring my father and me. This induction into the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame is a great honour." Several members of the Mehlenbacher family were in attendance tonight, including Andrew and Bill Mehlenbacher, and Bill accepted for his father on behalf of the family. “My father is very deserving of this award, as one of the pioneers in the sport of drag racing. Many of the members of the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame and those in attendance tonight would not be where they are, had it not been for our father Bruce A. Mehlenbacher and our grandfather L.B. Mehlenbacher. Their dedication and promotion of the sport was second to none,” said Bill Mehlenbacher. “On behalf of my father and our family, we thank you for this distinction.” The Mehlenbachers family history of drag racing began in 1948, when L. Bruce Mehlenbacher purchased a 375-acre parcel of land in Kohler, Ontario, to add to the family’s farming operation. The property included an emergency landing strip, built by the Canadian Government during the Second World War. In 1954, with the cooperation of the Ontario Timing Association, there was some racing at the track in Kohler, and 1955 saw the full operation of the drag racing facility. Things were simple and low-tech in those days, as cars were driven to the track or towed in makeshift trailers. During the 1960s, the track was recognized as Kohler Dragway, Super Boss Dragway, and Cayuga 1320 Dragway. It was operated by several individuals throughout this time but always managed under the watch of the Mehlenbacher family. Throughout that period, the track received both NASCAR and NHRA sanctioning, the prominent North American race governing groups. Throughout the heavy muscle car days of the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Mehlenbachers leased the facility and the dragstrip became one of the most prominent facilities in Canadian drag racing. The first Bruce A. Mehlenbacher NHRA Division 1 Winston World Championship Series Event (WWCS) was held at the now-named Dragway Park, in 1971. A year later, the Mehlenbacher family took full control of the track, operating all aspects of the venue. Throughout the next 12 years, Dragway Park grew in stature, and a full card of National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) class racing ran every season. Each year was highlighted by the very popular and extremely successful NHRA Division 1 Winston World Championship Series event in May. During that time, many of the biggest names in the sport attended events at Dragway Park, including "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, Don "The Snake" Prudhomme,��Shirley Muldowney, Bob Glidden, Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins, Joe Amato, Ronnie Sox, Tom "The Mongoose" McEwen, "Jungle" Jim Liberman, "Dyno" Don Nicholson, Ed "The Ace" McCulloch, Raymond Beadle, Connie Kalitta, Gary Beck, "TV" Tommy Ivo, Frank Manzo, Frank Hawley, Billy Meyer, Roger Gustin, Wally and Barbara Parks and, of course, "The First Lady of Motorsports" Linda Vaughn. A highlight of this time was Shirley Muldowney receiving her NHRA Top Fuel license on Easter Weekend at Dragway Park, in 1973. The three drivers who signed for her Top Fuel license were "TV" Tommy Ivo, Connie Kalitta, and "Big Daddy" Don Garlits. Bruce Mehlenbacher Jr. signed as the Dragway Park Track Official. The Mehlenbacher family era of Dragway Park continued until 1984, and the drag strip continues to operate today, under the name of Toronto Motorsports Park. The Mehlenbacher family and Dragway Park collected several awards throughout the years, including the NHRA Northeast Division 1 Dragstrip of the Year in 1982, NHRA Division 1 Bracket Finals Team Champions in 1976 and 1983, and the NHRA Management Excellence Award in 1983. Bruce A. Mehlenbacher was named NHRA Northeast Division Man of the Year in 1973. Bruce A. and Joan Mehlenbacher were then inducted into the Legion of Honor by Darwin Doll in 2010, for outstanding contributions to our drag racing heritage. To highlight an already impressive family history in the motorsports industry, the Mehlenbacher family (L. Bruce, Bruce A., Joan, Bruce F., Holly, Barbara, Bill, Andrew, Julie and Kelly) was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame in 1998. The Mehlenbacher family's passion for racing involvement didn’t cease at Dragway Park in 1984. It continues in the present day with Bruce F. Mehlenbacher. After working as Track Manager at Dragway Park for 10 years, Bruce became the General Manager of Bob Slack's Cayuga Speedway for eight years, from 1985 to 1993. He would manage the day-to-day operations of the Speedway, which presented short-track championship stock car racing at its very finest, a trademark of the track. The goal was to provide motorsport fans with the best "Specials Only" racing format, which was obtained through major sponsorship support, from companies such as Labatt Breweries, Molson Breweries, Castrol Oil, Player's, General Motors, General Tire and McKerlie-Millen Auto Parts Stores. Quality was the name of the game at Cayuga Speedway, and for race fans, competitors, media, and sponsors alike, the Speedway offered one of the most professionally operated motorsport facilities in North America. In 1991, Bruce co-founded Promark Motorsport International with John Massingberd, which produced Raceline Motorsports Television on TSN, Raceline Radio Network on Telemedia, and Snowtrax Television on TSN and Outdoor Life Network. The ever-popular Sled Ed was a highlight of this period. Raceline Radio Network is now in its 31st year. It is hosted by Erik Tomas and still airs weekly year-round. Bruce F. Mehlenbacher In 1998, Bruce also founded JAJ Entertainment, acting as an independent consultant for motorsports and general entertainment clients. The business specializes in graphic design, hero cards, image creation, internet and web marketing and strategic web development, media management, photography, public relations, special event management and logistics, and sponsorship development. He continues to manage this company today. Among other ventures in the early 2000s, Bruce worked with motorsports drivers, in roles such as public relations for Frank Kimmel, the most successful driver in ARCA history, and also Carl Spiering Motorsports. Bruce also became Executive Director of Development for Fastline Motorsports, Team Manager for Northern Force Racing and Executive Director of Development with Tara MacLeod Racing. In 2003 and 2004, Bruce served as General Manager of Roger Gustin's AutoStar Productions Inc., producer of the Super Chevy Shows. It was the world’s largest drag race/car show series and featured nitro coupes, jet cars, wheel standers, and exhibition vehicles. Bruce then founded the Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA), Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) in 2004 and serves as their Director of Operations to the present day. The three series have toured several Canadian provinces and U.S. states, presenting a complete package of drag racing action, with excitement for the fans and close competition for the teams. Fans are treated to the PMRA Pro Modifieds, known as the “world’s fastest doorslammers,” the full-fendered cars and dragsters of the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the two-wheeled motorcycle and snowmobile action of the Pro Bike & Sled Series. Atlus has accidentally revealed Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica early on Instagram

As spotted by a number of Twitter users, the official atlus_west Instagram account posted two trailers on Thursday, then quickly pulled them.

Some were able to capture the videos before they were removed, however, meaning they’re now being spread on social media.

Both Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica trailer end by saying the games are coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.

They also state that both games will be available on Xbox Game Pass.

Sony skips out on Gamescom

As reported by VGC, per German publication GamesMarkt, the company said it will not be on the show floor.

Halo Infinite Season 4 will add a new progression system called Career Rank

According to a new blog article on the Halo Waypoint website, when Season 4 arrives on June 20 it will be accompanied by Career Rank, a new way for players to track their progress across all modes.

Career Rank will be similar to the progression systems in Halo: Reach and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, though it’s said to be most like the latter.

“To make progress through these new ranks, all you have to do is play,” senior community manager John Junyszek said in the blog.

Nintendo Switch sales up 39% across Europe in May

Sales of video games, hardware and accessories surged across Europe last month, driven by the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Nearly 10.6 million digital and physical games were sold across Europe last month, the latest GSD data reveals.

This covers all retail games released in major European markets, plus digital games from most AAA publishers in all European territories.

It's a 33% jump in sales over the same period in May 2022, and that's almost entirely down The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is the runaway success of the month, selling more than 2.5x the second placed game: Hogwarts Legacy.

China's games market reached $45.5bn in 2022

The games market in China reached $45.5 billion in revenue in 2022 – that's including mobile, console and PC.

Chinese games companies accounted for 47% of the mobile games revenue worldwide and 39% of the PC games revenue, a new report from Niko Partners showed.

The data firm said the games market in China is expected to grow to $57 billion in revenue by 2027, and an estimated 730 million gamers.

The report stated that China continues to be the biggest games market worldwide, with 31.7% of global mobile games revenue and 33.4% of global PC games revenue generated in the country.

Looking at its domestic market, 66% of its revenue comes from mobile, 31% from PC and 3% from console titles.
