Ok, so the thing about the Watcher move.

I’ve happily been a Patreon since day 1 and that’s fine because it was voluntary it felt like something I was doing for them in addition to what they were producing. So I didn’t mind if there were shows that I wasn’t a fan of - I just wouldn’t watch for that month.

But this? This is compulsory and more than that, it’s paying for a service. And that service is still only 1 episode a week and if I’m not into a show well too bad I guess my money is wasted for the month

Yk, hands down my biggest problem interacting with any fandom, but especially DW, is that I literally can't even begin to understand approaching a character independently of the writing. Like, the statement "This is a great character, just poorly written" is straight up an oxymoron to me. I sometimes get the impression there's this weird belief in a platonic ideal-like "true history" version of a character that got denigrated by hostile chroniclers and [insert hegemony-adjacent adjective] Hollywood directors or something. Belief based mainly on the fact the actor did what they do for a living. Which is just. Again, something I can't even begin to process.

hey midst stans does anybody know what's up with "mirrorhawk"? my friend and i are comparing notes and we found it in weepe's "list of things to crush" in appendix 1.9 AND in the Folded text in appendix 2.3, but neither of us remember hearing it in an episode, although i haven't checked every transcript
