hello! this is a subnautica irl rp blog for the sillies!! blanket cw for unreality! i will be posting ic!!

i haven't actually finished the game yet, but there will possibly be spoilers for the stuff i have gotten through, so keep that in mind!

It's alright! I have a terrible tendency of walking about blind to everything about me, trapped inside my own head - it seems inevitable that I'd bump into somebody... [A little hoover robot scuttles past. Jochi looks down at it fondly.] Don't you envy him? How nice it must be to have an empty mind.

Anyway-- a simulation, hm? I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar. Unless, of course, we are speaking in metaphor, in which case I have experienced far too many simulations for my liking. [A wry smile.] Regardless. I'll admit this hasn't been as insufferable an experience as I'd thought; not so far, at least. It's certainly been much better than my diplomatic placement in the Territoires Français. Mostly due to the lack of French people. Don't take their absence for granted.

Alright. Hey everyone. I guess I owe you a real explanation. So I'm Ryley, I'm from... some other dimension. Has anyone named alternate realities? I dunno. Anyway, a friend of mine (in another dimension. confusing I know) made a stable collider and then duplicated it so other versions of us could hang out with each other. It's a pretty sweet deal.

I was trying to go home from visiting one of the known dimensions and I fucked it up. I don't know how. But now my collider/wormhole maker/whatever Viktor is calling them is broken and I'm clueless on how to fix it.

I think I got some kind of Blacklight from Ryan. We're uh... familiar. With each other. Ahem. Anyway, I'm not really sure what it's doing to me aside from turning me into a squid for day. Which leads me to the next thing.

I have a different disease already. Well, had, actually. It's called Kharaa. I'm not sure where it originated but it's highly contagious through water. So guess where I caught it!! On an ocean planet! I crash landed there, just my luck. I was able to cure myself and I keep a sample of Enzyme 42 on me at all times.

To say Kharaa affected me is an understatement. I'm physically stronger and I think I can partially breathe underwater. Not sure how Blacklight is gonna affect that lol. I think the mutations are at war in here. It's uh, it's not pleasant. I'll probably document what's going on with my body as I post. Robin will want to read it when I get home for sure.

1. why did you choose your url?

okay, so there's actually a bit of story behind it so this answer's gonna be long.

I was a roleplayer...god. years ago (6? ish years ago?), for the Transformers fandom, and because of the character I played, I got called "Blitz" and the nickname just kinda stuck, even after I left that fandom. before I'd realized I was trans, my username had "Queen" in it, and I had a separate account for RPing as that character. well, I had both accounts logged into the chat at the same time once cause I'd been chatting on my main, then decided to hop onto the RP one and forgot to disconnect my main (DeviantArt Chat, haha), someone didn't know which one to tag to get my attention, so just caps-locked BLITZQUEEN at me

it didn't take long for me to change my user to that. I eventually drifted away from that fandom, but I decided to name my mascot Blitz for the nostalgia

I started to get uncomfortable with my user, realized I was trans, and started looking for alternatives to the "queen" part of it. I came across the word "indite" which is a synonym for "write." I liked how symmetrical the I's were from each other in "Blitzindite," so decided to roll with it

so yes. my username is literally just "Blitz Writes" (it's also why my writing tag is "blitz indites")
