hello! this is a subnautica irl rp blog for the sillies!! blanket cw for unreality! i will be posting ic!!

i haven't actually finished the game yet, but there will possibly be spoilers for the stuff i have gotten through, so keep that in mind!

we'll see how this goes, hehe

the mod's name is apollo and i use any pronouns (but in a distinctly masc way, if that makes any sense DHDSHJ) + sun/suns neos :]!!

trev is a trans man that was operating on the aurora before it crashed and he was launched out on lifepod 15

he loves engineering and he built himself the seamoth (it is his Baby) but. he cannot build a base to save his life so he's been living inside the lifepod SDGHFJGK

really likes scanning stuff. like so much he's almost died multiple times because of it

he tends to make jokes to cope with his situation but he's also just a Silly Guy in general. also he can be pretty impulsive and/or reckless sometimes (all the time /hj)

Pre expansion/ Human Al-an AU

A biologist in an age where all things biological on Earth were well documented, Robin Ayou had only one financially strapped startup to her name. When her sister Sam Ayou goes missing under the watch of the shady Alterra corporation, Robin doesn’t hesitate and opts to travel alone to a remote coastline in South America to join an already abandoned search effort. There she gets sidelined by a distress signal on her equipment.

An abandoned lab reclaimed slowly by the elements— the last place she expected to find a man trapped in stasis by his own machine. His name is Alan Meyer. The system seemed to keep his body alive. He had no idea how long he’d been trapped, and stranger yet he refused to remove his helmet. He seems to be experiencing some pretty significant amnesia— but by his recounting he was a tech prodigy in his youth. There seems to be things he’s hiding too…

In return for her assistance, Alan offers tech and augmentations that allow her to better search for her missing sister.

AU NOTES:

Robin cares a lot about her health and fitness - and enjoys triathlons.

Despite Alan’s stasis his body is in decent shape, though a bit skinny. He is rather huskily built so it’s hard to tell at a glance, and that combination creates the illusion of fitness.

Robin wears more casual/ semiformal, but frequently changes in to a wetsuit for diving.

Alan’s helmet is able to provide some visual input directly in to his brain, but even this way he is partially blind.

Alan prefers floor length dresses and robes which are pretty common in fashion at this time. It’s Robin who dresses retro.

Alan seems estranged from humanity and does not consider himself part of it. Robin thinks his time trapped in AR fried his brain.

Alan is suspiciously wealthy (for lore reasons)

jungle setting instead of ice for 1) it’s a refresh 2) it’d quickly show the similarities and differences in how both of them approach science and danger

Ranting about Robin as an Al-An Fictionkin

Mostly because I miss her and when I was an architect god dammit

Robin once tried to have me blink into her underwater base (yes in source she had multiple bases, found it more conventional and functional) and I was forced to be sitting at all times because the ceiling was so low for me, however, I didn’t mind. Minus for the first entry because her entrance was purely human sized. (I accidentally poked a hole in the wall)

The time I asked Robin about how human companionship and love works and she spent almost two extra hours awake than what was recommended by her pda explaining it to me, and no I still didn’t understand

I remember how Robin would smile when she made something she went out and searched in a dangerous or far-away spot getting the materials for, she was so proud of herself and it made me happy too!

The time she managed to get her favorite song onto her pda and danced in an emptier large room of her base and danced with me by wiggling and holding onto my normal arms

Robin once asked me if I was autistic or mentally ill when she was very sleepy, her reasoning was the way I stood, the t-rex arm thing, she demonstrated and I didn’t know what it meant at all for awhile

All the rants Robin would go on talking about her home planet and what human families are like, it was genuinely interesting and she seemed happy and both a bit sad to reflect on those memories, she said it was because she misses that life and I can understand that

The time when Robin used me like a horse, climbing my front legs and sitting on my back, I was super confused, her weight also felt extremely weird there. She proceeded to stand up and grab onto my horn-like structures and compared me to a bull.

I remember the several times Robin would absentmindedly lean on me or have a hand on my leg or hook her arm through the leg gap thing, most of the time she didn’t realize she was doing the first two, that was my first introduction to physical affection. It quickly became my favorite thing, it made me feel warm.

I would regularly force my body to walk with Robin, my legs would be decently sore but that was okay, when we were on icebergs. I also remember saving Robin from snow stalkers on countless occasions. The ice worms were admittedly a “no you’re not going there” area. I simply would not allow my first companion in I don’t even know how long to die, especially not like that.

Robin once fabricated a large fuzzy blanket for me at night when I was still allowed to be in her base, I started draping it over me when we went to the icebergs, it was possibly my favorite item (a snow stalker ate it)

Gardening was my favorite activity before me and Robin left the planet, Robin would give me lots of seeds as gifts (some she ate and I was confused by it at first but I didn’t really want to ask since humans are already weird enough)

Robin taught me how to high-five, and hug-

Robin once saw me get caught in a flash avalanche and thought I died since I didn’t immediately respond telling her I was fine and she used her snow fox to rush down the ice to me and saw me almost scorpioned covered in snow. The conversation went something like “how can you even do that with your bone structure” “I don’t know and my back legs won’t go back” she giggles “Robin I require your assistance” she almost burst into laughter before pushing me over to help me. It was not a good day-

All of this has just been a giant TRUST THE PROCESS and by process I mean my grandma's needles because they are literally saving this. So sturdy. So point. I pricked myself 5 times...
