For the sports event, LS Raph has decided to start up a game of tag!!!

Mikey had peacefully been basking in the sun when the tiny version of Raph appeared.

He knew this little Raph- he was part of their cabin! Such a sweetheart. His own Raph had already met their Mikey- really, the eldest snapper was a baby magnet. These guys, Misa, and the little babies he had brought when meeting Mike- how did he do it?

He opened his eyes when a shadow was cast over him- and smiled at the little snapper who stared at him with a grin.

A very... suspicious grin. The same grin the younger brothers had when they were planning something.

"Hey, big guy." Mikey waved, making no move to get up. Raph just stared at him... until he placed a clumsy, little paw on Mikey's snout.

"Tag! You're it!" He shrieked, turning around and running away at once. Mikey blinked... before grinning.

You didn't need stable hands for tag.

"Why you little-" he playfully called, getting up, and stretching his arms above his hands. If it was a race Raph wanted... it was a race he'll get.

He grinned, and started running.

Distantly... the box turtle wondered if the little snapper had ticklish spikes like his older brother too.

"Oh I'll get you alright!"

Tbh I didn’t even pay attention to Oscar at alll until after the season was over so imagine my shock seeing the discourse. I didn’t know there Oscar had that many haters. Is it even that serious… and the worst are the LN4 fans😭 I like Lando and he’s objectively faster but isn’t it in their best interest to somewhat respect Oscar’s skills so that it’s actually impressive Lando is destroying him🤷‍♀️ if Oscar’s as bad as they say (& I’ve seen several say he did nothing for the WCC like Jesus)— then Lando beating him isn’t that remarkable is it🤔

this isn’t necessarily the point you were making, but i will say this: zak brown and co have done an incredible job with the mclaren rebrand because if you look at the historical record. like. this is not the “twinks hug it out and get along” team. this is a “we get the best drivers and they eventually fight it out for a championship because having two great people with extraordinary capabilities pushing each other to the limit is how we win” team.

the sport has changed since previous eras, absolutely! the way drivers navigate the PR side and inter-team relations of it too. there is no singular way of having a winning mentality. but i do think as oscar continues refining his skill and levelling up (which is not an entirely linear process but i believe he has it in him otherwise I wouldn’t be so oscarpilled), we may see more moments like hungary or challenging calls from the pit wall or a different kind of manoeuvring when it comes to affirming driver priority from the so-called oscarcamp, even if that changes from race to race etc.

hungary and baku etc, even singapore and other races towards the second summer break were, kind of, tests. portents of what to come or thrillingly exciting developments, in some ways it’s both. in a way, 81’s less even performance esp in the americas races mean we didn’t see that come to a head yet. like i don’t want the partnership closeness between 4 and 81 to end either, but it’s not professional sport without some level of rivalry and it will inevitably evolve and it probably already has, but that’s between them and that’s why im here writing rpf instead of idk like messaging them about it or whatever.

maybe these two will defy the narrative 🤷🏻‍♀️ i have no idea what that teammate dimension eventually looks like. but i will definitely be around to watch.

Raph had stopped running a while ago.

While the two had lost Mikey during their game of tag, Raph knew his little brother- the guy could pop out of nowhere.... any minute now.

So he settled on a light jog for now. His tiny counterpart, who was still on his shell, was looking around. On guard.

...

Aaaanyyyy minute now-

"Hello!" Too far distracted with their task, the two jumped out of their skin at the chirp- oh boy.

Raph, out of instinct, almost hit the Kraangified version of his brother as soon as he saw them- ninpo just ready, sparking, ready for combat. However, just in time he managed to remind himself that the Krang here were nice. So the snapper let out a shaky exhale, and smiled. "Hey."

Okay. So. Don't get distracted or you spook yourself. Don't wanna freak out like Donnie did. Got it.

"Wanna cool off with some homemade lemonade?" One of the Mikey's asked, leaning on their stand. Raph looked behind him- tiny Raph hadn't had anything to drink yet, had he? He had been playing tag with Mikey, and Raph, trying to save him, hadn't been able to offer him water. Whoops.

The sun was out. How long had the guy been running for? "You want some lemonade, little man?" He asked. Little Raph's eyes sparkled, tail wagging just the tiniest bit. Big Raph took that as a yes.
