Sometimes understanding myself is ridiculously hard even for silly things like cartoons, i was so pissed of about this new gems for apparently no reason, but i realised it was just because it was spoiled for me with that screenshot of one of the people that worked on the new su game that just decided to fricking spoil this bomb , i HATE these kind of spoilers, like yeah, you got access to episodes early good for you, shut the fuck up and don’t ruin the experience for every body else!!!

You know, Navy’s betrayal actually answers a question I had about a Ruby’s purpose. If Homeworld has all these big, strong Quartz Gems to fight as soldiers, why would they need to make Rubies? They’re small, and seem to be relatively weak--three of them fused couldn’t stand against one rebel Pearl. So if every Gem has a purpose, what is a Ruby’s?

Look at what Navy’s done: she wormed her way into the hearts of Steven, Garnet, and Peridot by being adorable and seemingly all-loving. A lot of fans had this reaction too; even now, after everything, some sections of the fandom are rooting for her because she’s such a sinnamon roll. Even taunting the others, she’s cutesy and bubbly. Her betrayal comes as a sort of shock because, hey, she’s too cute and innocent to have done something like that, right?

I pose a theory: Rubies are made and sent into battle to make enemies let their guard down. Such small, seemingly dim-witted Gems can’t possibly pose a threat, right? Look how adorable they are!

Boom! Suddenly, a Quartz battalion is on your metaphoric doorstep and the Rubies you underestimated are punching and kicking every inch of you they can reach.

OK, something is very up with both pearl and white diamond. Of course by both pearl I mean our pearl and “white pearl“. I swear that again pearl again knows way more than she saying, and our new pearl is off on so many ways it’s just no. As far as White diamond I have to agree with the wizard of Oz theory. Her feet just don’t make sense. Looks a little too much like a statue and a holographic projection for her face.

Of course, she did the very mom thing of oh you’re back you’re in trouble, go to your room.
