Warning to Dungeon Meshi fans:

See, the appeal the likes of Lily Orchard has revolves around how... unhinged she can be and how few f*cks she gives. It creates this energy of "saying the quiet part out loud" and keeping the other side from speaking over her "points" a "I will not be silenced" vibe. This is added upon how... well... she's transgender within a society that wants to actively genocide people like her. Thus there's an added energy of, "If you disagree with me with the vitriol I'm exhibiting, you are attacking me for my identity."

And make no mistake, there are bigots that target her to appeal to those who "see things their way" and consider her opinions secondary. This muddles the waters, something she utilizes as a shield. Those who called out her Korra video were called "sycophants" of all things.
