hiiiii!!! heres a little ramble about my OSDID house headcanon because someone wanted me to elaborate and i just adore talking about it!! i just wanted to say, before i start going off, that this is a headcanon, a lot of these traits are due to his substance abuse and i know that logically he does not have OSDID. this is just things he does that we find relatable as we struggle with DID and relate heavily to house!! goshhh hes just so me frfr i cant take it☹️💔

teensy trigger warning for childhood abuse!!alrighty first of all he has MAJOR childhood trauma that clearly started at a very young age. he had an abusive father and a mother who did nothing to call off or stop that abuse and it went on from is childhood to his adulthood. it was so bad that house for real hated the guy, even when he died, despite being upset at his death. thats a deep hatred i fear.. like you don't hate someone like that for no reason even if you're house. ALSO a little off topic but i think his intelligence stems from his childhood abuse because in the episode where wilson and him are going to his father's funeral, house tells wilson that at like the age of 12 house figured out that his father was not his biodad. i think the puzzles being a distraction for house started there. and house knowing that his father, who caused him so much trauma from the start, wasn't actually his biological father gave him an excuse to separate himself from him which is something we have done so gah relatable?? the puzzles to me and how he figures them out is also kind of a dissociative thing? it distracted his childmind from the trauma as it was happening and it distracts him from pain in the future. also just that episode where he's hallucinating amber and he unfocused yeah THAT was for sure dissociation.

SPEAKING OF AMBER!! whenever house hallucinates amber it seems different to how any other hallucination is portrayed in the show and maybe thats just me nitpicking but she strays from her alive self and house himself (despite being his subconscious) while staying consisted each time it happens, but other hallucinations kinda don't? its like shes a whole other person. im backing this up with how house blames her for trying to kill chase when shes meant to be his subconscious. he blames amber, as if amber did it and not him even after acknowledging she was him. which yeah could be a denial thing we all know house loooovvves denial. plus while alters/parts are not other people, they can differentiate from others and their source. actually its very common for parts to differentiate!! its also very common to hallucinate or see different parts when they're co-conscious! anyway i do think hallucination amber AND hallucination kutner can be seen as parts as well as hallucinations cause thats just what they come across as to me!! and their coming about would make sense because both showed up after house was faced with a big traumatic event. a lot of the times when a big traumatic event happens house's personality shifts too, and im not saying thats not normal, it is especially when going through greif but again its just relatable!! anyways amber and kutner's deaths were so big to him and his mind and body take it as such. its a huge dissociative time for him too and that shows IN THE SHOW. again we see it during s5 when he's hallucinating amber sometime after kutner's death and everything gets gray and foggy, his team's voices muffle and he hones in on one thing barely. that was a very close portrayal of dissociation to me.

"house's head" and "wilson's heart" to me is a great portrayal of memory loss after a traumatic event. now i know that in the show house's amnesia is caused by the bus crash okay but hush im projecting🙁!! in OSDID amnesia is a big thing in many types of the disorder, we personally have bad amnesia and memory loss, especially after traumatic events and house trying to recollect all his memories again after the crash was just really relatable to us. also the way he replaced amber with another woman that represented her in his mind... yeah that was either a false memory or a split from the trauma either way it was crazy relatable

okay i hope that was a good elaboration im SUPER shit at putting my thoughts into words i apologize!! again this is just a headcanon and i know that logically all these symptoms and traits have different reasonings in the show im just having fun and projecting my disorder onto the stinky old doctor whom i love okay thank you goodnight

fuckk streber and dexter... oouuhgnnhj... theyre such a fun dynamic. i bet theyre very weird and dumb

in my au i didnt really want to make dexter like, a Bad Guy so he doesnt harm animals. he instead channels his anger out into drawing, painting, sewing, taxidermy, and bone collecting. he has a lot of hobbies, but theyre not really things he enjoys. really, hes mostly passionate towards taxidermy and bone stuff only because its animals and animals are very cool to him. otherwise he just uses things to keep him from doing anything dangerous. he doesnt care but he tries his hardest to and he knows if he went too far off the deep end then his mom would have to witness his arrest and he loves hismmom a lot so.. he wouldnt want her to see her own son be put in jail and stuff.

now with dexter i feel like hes very bad with people. he hates people but he wants them to stay because he wants to feel worth something, he wants to feel normal and like them yet he feels like everyones inferior to him. hes constantly conflicted with everything he thinks.

so when streber sticks around, puts up with anything he says (besides the time streber snaps because he jabbed too far), jt messes with him. it hurts his head.

i feel lik3 dexters super troubled because he doesnt know if he should stay quiet to avoid the weird looks and people leaving or if he should create a mask and be super chatty to make sure people stay. regardless,,streber sticks no matter what. he tries to learn as much as he can about him. he tries to show dexter he cares

he doesnt know why he feels like this. but he tracks people. he tracks and analyzes people down to the smallest detail, and he knows dexter is troubled. in a weird way he sees himself in dexter. maybe not in the same exact way, hes not in the same reality dexter lives in, but he knows what its like to be troubled. to be conflicted with every single person around you, because you dont know what to do or say or think or feel and it sucks. and he wants dexter to feel atleast,, safe with him. he knows dexter is lonely and struggling. he wants to mske him feel safe.

over time dexter gains some trust with him. sometimes they go looking for dead animals in the forest to collect the bones. streber hates doing it, but he wants dexter to be happy around him, so he goes throuhg with it.

A: things are starting to make sense even though mostly, they should not but like they do make sense but once given with like a long test, it comes flying out the window

A: Recently, the center of mass is fairly enjoyable, it did however stump me at first but like it makes sense once done properly

A: Deriving the formula from another formula then it gets an integral, it just becomes so cool that you can get that from something completely different

5/11 Daily Log

YALL I TESTED NEGATIVE FOR COVID TODAY!! officially out on modified isolation YESSIIRRRR i took my rapid in the morning and then went to lab which was the first class i’ve been to in weeks. i had 7c discussion later in the day where i realized its rlly grind time before my midterm on friday. then i had a zoom call with some friends before grabbing takeout dinner from bplate with alan. it was strawberry fest night which was BUSTIN frfr. their strawberries were so juicy and sweet PEAK STRAWBERRY SEASON. then i went to ralphs with a friend who bought me EVEN MORE juicy strawberries im being blessed today. now im studyin with my friends who i havent seen in person in AGES. 

jayden had lab today where he worked on hella titrations (last thing im looking forward in 14bl) and he also took is 7A midterm which was not amazing not terrible which is pretty damn good honestly school be a struggle bus sometime. hopefully will see him for the first time in a LONG TIME at fireside tonight. PULL UP JP PULL UP 

OOPS how i progressed this year:

I think that I’ve grown a lot this year in that I’ve been more open with new people I’ve met this quarter. I think I’ve tried to show more vulnerability than I would have in the past. I think I’ve also learned to be more time efficient with my work, knowing what tasks I should spend more time on and how to prioritize important work. I think that being so busy this quarter, I’ve learned that there are some things that are definitely work smarter not harder. I’ve also learned a lot about failure and how to pick myself back up even when failing one or multiple times

None of my friends from college are from the hood. Frfr no one i know now is from the hood... and it got me thinking on the likeliness of people from my hood getting out or even going to college and graduating.

Most of the kids that I know are from the somewhat Suburban areas of my city. AKA places where mostly black well off families decided to move because it was nicer like Mount Airy or Mount Pleasant and some other place outside of here but they all claim they from the hood but they're really not 😐

Then I also realize that half of the things that they get naturally.. I would never have. Or I would have to struggle to get there and none of them would really understand what that means.

Now this may be a big assumption but I feel that strongly about it. I understand that most people from the hood if they are in the process of trying to make a better life for themselves and get out, they mostly received help because people feel sorry for them.

So now back to my main point, the likeliness of people from the hood getting out 🤔

FACTOR IN THIS ~

- most of the kids don't live with their parents they live with a grandparent, uncle, aunt ect..

- grow up and environments where home is a whole nother hell

- being financially stable is kind of non-existent

- there not taught to reach for anything outside of going to high school

- end up selling just to make ends meet

- gotta be hard or else your weak

- speaking proper or wanting to be well-educated means you an oreo

- where the unemployment rate is just as low as the rate of students who did not complete the 9th grade and dropped out

- high school and middle school kids pick on you for everything and especially being from the hood and broke you 😓 get thrown under the bus multiple times

- settling for a man is looked at as better than not having one

- growing up and realizing 4 out of the 5 friends have been sexually molested by family members / others their supposed to trust

- having anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD or some other mental health issue be seen as you're too stupid to do (anyhing) and also something that's not addressed

- when the people in your family put you down more than the people that pick on you
